Recently, we discussed Dr. Luke Wood, the president of California State University of Sacramento, and a video that has been recently circulating in which he says he plans to “eliminate whiteness.” And there was a discussion whether whiteness is separate from or synonymous with being white.

And I suggested to you that this was a very deleterious and stupid thing to say, and it was divisive in a multiracial democracy. In other words, it’s like saying that your image in the mirror, you can destroy that. But it has nothing to do with you, the real person who is projecting that image. In other words, that’s just a reflection of who you are.

Whiteness, according to his logic, would be a reflection of people who are white. And he couldn’t explain that when asked to.

A British councillor was on Friday acquitted of encouraging violent disorder for saying far-right activists should have their throats cut amid riots last year, drawing claims from right-wing politicians of a hypocritical “two-tier” justice system.

Which it is.

Ricky Jones made the comments at a counter-protest in London after three girls were murdered in the north English town of Southport and was suspended by the ruling Labour party.

Misinformation on social media said the teenager who committed the murders at a Taylor Swift-themed dance event was an Islamist migrant, fuelling days of violent riots including attacks on mosques and hotels housing asylum seekers.

Jones, 58, was cleared by a jury following a trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court. He had made the remarks to a crowd gathered near an immigration advice centre in London after reports that far-right supporters were planning a protest.

“They are disgusting Nazi fascists … We need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all,” he said, running a finger across his throat.

How is this not “hate speech”. (Which is even more illegal in Britain, with no First Amendment, than in the U.S.)

Democrats and allied advocacy groups are set to launch a series of protests on Saturday, Aug. 16, targeting Republican-led redistricting plans they say are designed to secure long-term control of the U.S. House.

The “Fight the Trump Takeover” National Day of Action, organized by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Texas for All coalition, and dozens of national and state partners, will feature nearly 150 rallies in at least 34 states.

Demonstrators plan to gather at state capitols, city halls, and community spaces, with the largest event to be held outside the Texas Capitol in Austin, according to organizers.

It’s easy to organize a Democrat demonstration outside of the Texas state capitol, which is in Austin, the Blue pustule of Travis County. It doesn’t mean anything, any more than such a demonstration in L.A., N.Y, Chicago, or San Francisco–Democrats yelling at other Democrats.

English singer-songwriter Louise Distras has been banned from a music streaming service for her allegedly ‘transphobic’ views, she announced on Thursday, August 14. Her exclusion came just one day after signing up for Ampwall, with company executive Charles Shapleigh emailing to explain the decision:

we received complaints about your presence. You’re probably aware that your anti-rhetoric has made you a public figure …. If you ever change your attitude and public positions about trans women we’d be glad to have you back.

Distras called this “not just a petty ban [but] full blown cultural terrorism” and said she was not a “programmable drone who will abandon biological facts and common sense just to scrape by.”

Her removal from Ampwall follows a similar ban from the larger platform Bandcamp in 2023. Loss of access to music streaming services is a serious threat to working musicians, as other record industry-based revenues are drying up amid a shift to digital platforms.

The platform’s conduct comes at a difficult time for the singer-songwriter, who was investigated then cleared by police in 2023 over three separate ‘gender critical’ public comments she made, including a GB News interview, before being ‘stalked’ by a trans activist.

In 2025, the same interviews were used as part of a new criminal case against Distras, alleging she poses a threat of harm to … her alleged stalker. At the time of writing, this allegation had been scheduled for a pre-trial hearing at Leeds Crown Court in July, but remains unresolved.

This latest spiteful campaign against Distras coincides with ongoing attempts to force John Boyne, author of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2006), off the longlist for the Polari Prize literary award, also because he has criticised transgender ideology.

An ‘elite police division’ has been assembled by the Home Office to monitor remarks made by social media users on immigration, at a time when the provision of over two hundred hotels for illegal migrants is causing rising tension in communities.

Of course, the Daily Mail article meant specially-skilled officers, but it is also true that the ‘elite’ is being protected.

For Britain is not being run for the good of the ordinary people, but for a predatory class that is solidifying its power in an emerging global technocracy.

The entertainment press found it very important to report that Hollywood thinks President Donald Trump is an authoritarian. This is still somehow considered “news.” Over 2,300 members of the Writers Guild felt compelled to speak out in an open letter because they believe in their “role in a healthy democracy.”

In 2024, democracy was healthy and Hollywood’s candidate lost. “Writers Guild of America West PAC [political action committee] Endorses Kamala Harris for President,” they announced. So sad. They can’t get over it.

When the Left’s feverishly spinning propaganda machines don’t work, “now, we face an unprecedented, authoritarian assault.” The Democrats are about as popular right now as measles, so democracy is somehow endangered.

Conservative groups loudly condemned a Massachusetts police agency for citing the Southern Poverty Law Center in attacking the parental rights group Moms for Liberty in a law enforcement training.

Moms for Liberty called for a retraction, suggesting that the police agency actually went further than the SPLC in attacking the parental rights nonprofit.

The SPLC, which gained its reputation by suing Ku Klux Klan groups into bankruptcy in the 1980s, added Moms for Liberty to a “hate map” alongside Klan chapters in 2023. It branded the parental rights nonprofit an “anti-government extremist group,” but stopped short of calling it a “hate group.” Even so, the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee included Moms for Liberty in a report on “Freedom and Hate: Speech, Crimes & Groups,” suggesting the organization is a “hate group.”

“The fact that the discredited SPLC listed Moms for Liberty as an ‘anti-government extremist group’ is bad enough,” Tina Descovich, CEO and co-founder of the parental rights group, told The Daily Signal in a statement Monday. “But to have the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee echo this false claim and add to it that we’re a ‘Hate Group’ is beyond outrageous.”

“They need to immediately issue a public apology for incorrectly targeting moms and dads that advocate for parental rights,” Descovich added.

Tyranny is a process of acclimation. Governments test the public to see what they will quietly tolerate; leaders then turn “temporary” restrictions into permanent laws as people are conditioned to accept the new normal. Sometimes the public fights back and officials are forced to retreat. However, the tests never end and the bureaucracy continues to press year after year until it gets what it wants.

Many commentators have noticed that the Canadian government has been expediting this authoritarian process in recent years to the point that the intentions of elitist politicians can no longer be misunderstood. The mask is fully off and the country is becoming a draconian cesspool. From censorship laws, to gun bans, to carbon taxes and even legislation that turns Christian worship into “hate speech”, Canada is almost every bit as cooked as their commonwealth cousins in Britain.

Disney has settled a lawsuit with Gina Carano, an actress who was removed from a Star Wars television show after implying that being Republican was comparable to living as a Jew in Nazi Germany.

Ms Carano was removed from The Mandalorian in 2021 for what Disney said were “abhorrent and unacceptable” comments that “denigrated people based on their cultural and religious identities”.

Ms Carano, who also appeared in Marvel’s Deadpool film, hailed news of the settlement, posting on X: “I hope this brings some healing to the force.”

She was removed from the Disney+ streaming show in 2021 after posting on Instagram: “Because history is edited, most people today don’t realise that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbours hate them simply for being Jews.

“How is that any different from hating someone for their political views.”

Sadly, they did panic. Sky News and others chose almost this exact moment to play it safe and cut away, an editorial decision that would prove to be utterly vindicated, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
This time, he brought with him his two newest recruits. Yes, Farage has managed to once again break into the Tory vaults and this time he’d managed to bundle in to the awaiting getaway vehicle none other than the Leicestershire and Rutland police and crime commissioner Rupert Matthews.

On Saturday, August 2nd, Erik Tegnér, editor-in-chief of the conservative investigative magazine Frontières, was violently attacked by far-left activists while on holiday with his family in a small village in Brittany.

While on holiday with his fiancée’s family in Plouha, a small town in Brittany, and attending the village festival with her, the journalist was recognised and targeted by a dozen young left-wing activists—or, as they like to call themselves, ‘anti-fascists.’ He and his fiancée were subjected to insults, threats, and violent shoving, he explained in a video post on X. “They called us Nazis. They said, ‘We recognise you. You’re a fascist; you have no business here,’” said Erik Tegnér, who was also “grabbed by the neck” by one of the attackers. The Antifa members also attacked the young woman who was with him: “They said to my fiancée, ‘We know where you live. We’re going to chase you out of here,’” Tegnér said.

The journalist had to go and ask for help from police officers who were a few hundred metres away to calm the situation, which could have escalated.

Facing sharp scrutiny from the Trump administration over perceived left-wing bias, the Smithsonian Institution said Friday that it had temporarily removed a display on President Donald Trump’s two politically motivated impeachments.

The ultimate fate of the display remained uncertain for the foreseeable future, although a Smithsonian spokesperson maintained that the National Museum for American History’s exhibit on the American presidency eventually “will include all impeachments,” the Associated Press reported.

Smithsonian spokesman Phillip Zimmerman said the decision to restore the exhibit to its previous 2008 state stemmed from a need to update some of the details following a review in July of the museum’s “legacy content.”

The temporary installation on Trump that was added in September 2021 “was intended to be a short-term measure to address current events at the time,” he said.

“White Lotus” star Sydney Sweeney, whose blue jeans ad sparked a “crazy” backlash among the radical left last week, registered as a Republican in 2024, multiple outlets reported.

Sweeney, 27, registered in Monroe County, Florida, on June 14 of last year, The Telegraph reported, a month before GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump was shot and five months before he won reelection.

Sweeney’s party affiliation remains active, according to the report.

A shady government outfit in the UK that was previously tasked with identifying and monitoring COVID lockdown dissenters has been repurposed to spy on critics of mass migration and so called ‘asylum’ hotels, the Telegraph reports.

The body, now known as the National Security and Online Information Team (NSOIT) has been lobbying social media companies such as TikTok to take action against users who post what it describes as “concerning narratives” about immigration and ‘two tier policing’.

The unit operates within the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, and was previously known as the ‘Counter Disinformation Unit’ during the pandemic.

Fascist Yoga, by the arts provocateur Stewart Home, is being trailed heavily as showing how historically what he calls ‘modern postural practice’ was attractive to 20th century fascists. Home’s serious point—he “wanted to do a headstand. However, after some cursory research, he realised something troubling: so did the Waffen-SS,” according to the struggling Observer news site—is providing the hook for headlines that scream yoga is fascist, secretly fascist, a breeding ground for fascists or ‘merely’ racist in nature.

As europeanconservative.com has pointed out before, the hyperbole reflects a tendency to present anyone to the right of Ursula von der Leyen, or even Keir Starmer, as ‘far right’ or worse. Even the English countryside is now ‘racist.’ Now satirists are beginning to wake up to the way that such labelling has gotten out of control—while this publication advises readers to take heart from the allegation.

American Eagle Outfitters’ marketing pivot from the toxic ‘woke’ era, which originated from cultural Marxism, to actress Sydney Sweeney’s ‘assets’ appears to be the correct move for the clothing company, given that the Overton Window has shifted center-right, with mainstream Americans cheering the ‘end of woke’. Let’s jump right in. One leftist activist on TikTok, with an LGBTQIA plus whatever other letters come next, flag, claimed: “American Eagle is making fascist propaganda like this…”

Another unhappy white liberal woman then claimed that American Eagle exactly knew what it was doing with this ad “to revive the Third Reich.”

And all of these complainants are fugly, and I’m not talking about their looks.

Modern feminism is a cope whereby unattractive women can delude themselves into thinking that they matter. All it takes is a truly attractive (and competent) woman (by traditional criteria) to reveal the lie for what it is, which is why they Usual Suspects are having such a meltdown.

About 1,000 demonstrators and counter-protesters faced off outside the Bell Hotel, in Epping, where an Ethiopian migrant had been living when he was charged with sexually assaulting a schoolgirl.

Anti-migrant demonstrations were held at hotels in Wolverhampton, east London, Norwich, Leeds, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Southampton and Nottinghamshire.

It’s bad enough that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting had been funneling millions in tax dollars to leftist propaganda mills NPR and PBS over the decades. But what if we were to tell you that the CPB funded one of America’s “fact-checking” giants backed by George Soros responsible for censoring conservatives on social media platforms for years? Because that’s exactly what we’re about to tell you.

MRC Business discovered that the CPB, which is fully funded by tax dollars through federal appropriations, gave $599,330 to the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in 2023.

Poynter, which runs the left-tilting International Fact-Checking Network, was heavily invested in helping Big Tech platforms like Facebook widely censor supposedly “troublesome” opinions on the COVID-19 virus, amongst other topics, like elections and abortion.

What’s worse is that liberal billionaires like George Soros, eBay co-founder Pierre Omidyar and others are also some of IFCN’s most infamous financiers, further compounding the First Amendment concerns that government funds could have potentially been used to silence Americans.

Multiple leftist media outlets attacked Swedish pastor Håkan Persson, the parish priest of Markaryd, after a recent social media post in which he criticized the new rainbow-colored, LGBT-friendly vestments designed to be the symbol of the progressivism of the Church of Sweden.

In his Facebook post, Persson stated that the rainbow-colored chasuble and stole, designed at the initiative of the Västerås diocese, “will not enter Markaryd’s church as long as I am vicar.”

While the media paints him as acting from “a hidden minority-intolerant agenda” and accuses him of discriminating against the LGBT community in his parish, the priest insists he merely follows the liturgical rules of the church, and his doors remain open to anyone, but not to momentary political trends and sexual advertising.

“In the Church of Sweden, we have liturgical vestments that follow the church year. We actually have rules for that,” Persson explained. Anything other than white, red, green, and purple, depending on the liturgical season, is inconsistent with the Church’s official guidelines, he said.

On the breast pocket of that trenchcoat is a name tag that reads “The Cloud.” Under that name tag is an older name tag that reads “The Internet.” And under that name tag is a frayed embroidery that reads, “ARPANET (non-commercial use only, motherfuckers),” in a lovely script typeface and craftsmanship you just don’t see nowadays.
Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta (GAMM) now own most of the steel and glass that makes the internet go vroom. Google, Amazon, and Microsoft control seventy-five percent of the cloud computing market[1]. Meta and Google own half of the fiber optic cables supplying internet services across continents[2]. Most of our favorite productivity apps, retail websites, and social media platforms are beholden to proprietary infrastructure controlled by these four corporations. They own the most heavily trafficked server networks, all the GPUs, and gigawatts, and whatever.
They call it the cloud, but really, that’s just the internet.
So, what we know as the cloud doesn’t actually exist. It’s a euphemism that obfuscates the consolidation of critical infrastructure. The cloud is metaphysical porn for wild-eyed technocrats in Allbirds who say things like, “I’m making a dent in the universe” without a whisper of irony. It’s bullshit. It’s fugazi. There is no spoon, Neo.
The cloud is a lie.

Proglodytes live in desperate fear of any situation in which the biggest players are anything beyond two people banging rocks together.

Airline deregulation in the United States didn’t mean that airlines were no longer regulated. In fact airlines are one of the most heavily regulated businesses in the country. Instead what it meant was that the government would no longer be the one to decide which routes airlines could fly, and what prices they had to charge.

The Civil Aeronautics Board focused on eliminating ‘ruinous’ competition and ensuring prices were high enough, and competition limited enough, that airlines could earn a consistent profit.

However when you set prices high, airlines compete for customer business in other ways. Each ticket was lucrative, so they’d spend money on customers – for instance on service and food and beverage – to attract more ticket sales.

Airlines also colluded to limit inflight drink service. U.S. airlines entered into an agreement not to serve customers more than two drinks back in 1956, but the agreement fell apart in 1971 as carriers competed for business.

The CAB actually discussed whether they needed to regulate the thickness of sandwiches on board, because airlines were getting too competitive on food. They were charging high prices for tickets, but spending that money right back on the customer – and the government meant to stop it.

Somehow I had forgotten that there were, once, actual regulations on inflight sandwiches – at least for international flights.

That’s not all he forgot. He is totally oblivious to the fact that all of this is caused by government interference in the industry; he just ignores it on his proglodyte way to bashing the airlines. (Proglodytes live in fear that somebody somewhere is making a profit.)

I’ve noticed that, ever since Trump’s 2024 election and especially since he took office in January, some of my Trump-hating friends and acquaintances have gotten even angrier at Trump and angrier at those who support him, as compared to Trump’s first term. Here are my ideas about why that’s happened.

(1) Trump’s first term victory was considered a fluke and this one was not. Therefore they believe the electorate has become more evil and/or stupid.

(2) In Trump’s first term, they could claim that he didn’t “really” win because he didn’t win the popular vote. In the second term, he won the popular vote.

(3) Efforts to sabotage Trump’s first term – such as Russiagate – were immediately successful in that they convinced a lot of people and also had a restrictive effect on Trump in terms of what he could accomplish and how much energy he could devote to his policy aims versus fighting the lies.

(4) There were many people in Trump’s first administration who either weren’t onboard with his goals or were actively against them. This is far less true in his second term.

(5) He hit the ground running in his second term.

(6) During the Biden administration, Democrats watched Biden undo a great deal of what Trump had done in his first term. And now they’re having the nightmarish experience of watching Trump II undo what Biden did, or re-do what Biden had undone.

(7) One of the most awful things about the 2024 election, as far as the Democrats are concerned, was their loss of support in several of the groups on which their power depends: black and Hispanic voters. They’re not sure what to do about that.

(8) The Trump assassination attempt in Butler galls them, because it was such a close call and many really really wish Trump had been killed. His seemingly miraculous survival is especially frustrating.

(9) They thought that their lawfare against Trump would work either to put him in prison or at the very least to turn more voters against them. Instead it had the opposite effect, another dramatically and deeply frustrating result. It’s something like the classic scene in a horror movie in which the hero or heroine thinks the monster is gone and is finally able to relax and then bam! The monster pounces.

More than 200 students at Cheltenham High School in suburban Philadelphia have petitioned for the school’s alumni hall of fame to eject Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who graduated from the school in 1967.

Officers of the school’s alumni association are meeting with school district officials on Friday to consider the petition, according to a report in The New York Times, which said the association’s secretary privately said the group was inclined “to keep Netanyahu up, but maybe with an update in his biography.” Netanyahu was added to the hall of fame in 1999, during his first stint as prime minister.

The petition, submitted last month by roughly 15% of students, cited Netanyahu’s criminal indictment and arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court accusing him of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, the newspaper reported. Netanyahu denies the criminal charges against him and Israel rejects the allegation that it has committed war crimes in Gaza, where it has been battling Hamas since Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

Netanyahu is an American citizen, as was his elder brother Yonatan, hero of the Entebbe Raid and a Harvard man.

“ICE is trash,” announced the handwritten note, placed atop a pile of garbage, dumped on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer’s front lawn. Another vulgar note threatened the officer by name.

Such personal intimidation of law enforcement officers is part of an escalating trend of violence, as the left-wing agitators that pitched Black Lives Matter riots five summers ago now direct their inappropriate ire against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency tasked with enforcing federal immigration law.

After failing to deter ICE law enforcement efforts through mass rioting in Los Angeles, lawless radicals have adopted tactics that might be called more “sophisticated,” although they remain just as sinister.

“Criminals have posted fliers in officers’ neighborhoods, that includes their name, address, pictures of them and their families,” warned the Department of Homeland Security. “These fliers threaten officers with text that says, ‘NO PEACE FOR ICE’ and ‘CHINGA LA MIGRA’ (translation: F— immigration services).”

In addition, “multiple organizations” have published the personal information of ICE officers on “anarchist and Antifa-affiliated” websites, DHS added.

As a result of these doxing campaigns, as well as street agitation, violence against ICE officers has increased 830% between Jan. 21 and July 14 of this year, compared to the same period in 2024, DHS announced in a Tuesday statement obtained by The Washington Stand.

However, over the past decade, it has morphed into a billion-dollar industry fueled by dark-money-funded, far-left-aligned NGOs—many backed by opaque funding sources, including leftist billionaires and entities based in countries classified as foreign adversaries.

Yet here we are. Far-left NGO networks, some aligned with Marxist ideology, attempted coordinated acts of civil unrest in Los Angeles last month, including arson and insurrectionist behavior.

Simultaneously, operatives tied to far-left color revolution operations, including the Indivisible movement, have targeted Elon Musk and President Trump. In fact, Indivisible has maintained a continuous, nationwide protest pressure campaign against Trump.

Just yesterday, Indivisible foot soldiers were spotted outside Carnegie Mellon’s facilities in Pittsburgh, where the President Trump attended an Energy and Innovation Summit.

Abramson’s column reads like a Free Beacon greatest hits collection. It has a lot of them. The hits keep on coming and the column is entertaining. Abramson apparently spoke with Free Beacon reporter Aaron Sibarium, who has written several of the greatest hits, and quotes him in the column.

Abramson is a classic media lefty with self-awareness asymptotically approaching negative territory. The Free Beacon seeks to report on the left and on Democrats like the mainstream press does on Republicans, but, in my opinion, with a higher standard of accuracy and fairness. Searching for analogues, however, the best Abramson can do is David Brock’s reporting on the Clintons in days of old at the American Spectator.

Macdonald was a titan, and those who wish to delegitimize Canada must destroy him to do it. Macdonald was, as Patrice Dutil noted in his essential rebuttal to this iconoclasm, remarkably progressive for his period, but activists have scavenged the historical record to cherry-pick quotes that sound racist to modern ears. References to Indigenous peoples as savages, for example, are touted as the measure of the man rather than a summation of the era.

The iconoclasts, however, do not explain why American Indians frequently fled across the border to the safety of Macdonald’s Canada to escape the U.S. Army, and do not mention that the government sent them supplies to ensure their survival on the winter prairies. When rations ran out—Dutil emphasizes Macdonald’s genuine anguish over this—the history is slanderously rewritten as a deliberate attempt to starve Indigenous people to prop up the “genocide” narrative. That, Dutil notes, is simply “not the case.”

Indeed, most Canadians are unaware of the fact that Macdonald made statements in defense of Indigenous rights against genuinely racist opposition and his own political interests, and even advocated for their political enfranchisement.

Police have launched a hate incident investigation after a bonfire topped with an effigy depicting channel migrants was set alight in Northern Ireland.

A boat carrying mannequins wearing lifejackets topped the towering bonfire in Moygashel, County Tyrone. Banners which read “stop the boats”, “veterans before refugees” and “stop illegal immigration” were fixed to the pallets. An Irish tricolour flag was also placed on the tower.

The bonfire was lit on Thursday night as part of a Unionist tradition ahead of the Protestant loyal orders July 12 parades, despite police saying they were investigating the “hate incident”.

Politicians and religious leaders have condemned the bonfire as “racist, threatening and offensive”.

Democracy is worth defending unless the Ruling Class doesn’t like it.

The New York Times wants you to know something very important about Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor: When he was 17 years old applying to college, he checked multiple boxes on a race question.

That’s it. That’s the story.

On Thursday, the Times published what it apparently considered a major scoop about how Mamdani — who is of Indian descent, was born in Uganda, and lived in South Africa before moving to America at age 7 — identified himself as both “Asian” and “Black or African American” on his 2009 Columbia University application. He also wrote in “Ugandan” to clarify his background, tried to represent his complex identity within the limited options available, and was rejected from the school anyway.

This might strike you as a complete non-story. A teenager filling out college forms tried to accurately capture that he was, quite literally, an Asian person from Africa? Stop the presses! But the Times didn’t just report this as some minor curiosity. They splashed it across their website and ran a print headline suggesting scandal — “Mamdani Faces Scrutiny Over College Application” — and gave his opponent, Eric Adams, prime real estate to declare this was “an insult to every student who got into college the right way.”

Here’s what makes this journalistic malpractice even worse: The Times got this “scoop” from a white supremacist who had access to a hacked Columbia’s admissions database. They knew this. They gave him anonymity anyway. And according to Semafor’s reporting, they rushed to publish because they were terrified of being beaten to the story by Christopher Rufo, the right-wing activist who manufactured the “critical race theory” panic.

Just a reminder that however Woke the Narrative Media might be, there are always packs of jackals on the Left waiting for them to commit sins of ideological impurity against Holy Identity Politics.

Look at the people who are always obsessed about race. You won’t find them on the right.

After a proposal of ‘forced integration’ was approved at the party congress in May, the Swedish Social Democrats are now outlining what their plan is, should they return to power after next year’s parliamentary elections.

The fact that native Swedes—as well as immigrants—tend to gravitate toward living in communities with people of similar background is a problem, according to the Social Democrats. To solve the problem, their proposal includes ending asylum seekers’ right to choose their own housing, banning the placement of newcomers in so-called vulnerable areas, and restricting moves there by threatening to cut social benefits.

In an interview with Svenska Dagbladet, Sara Kukka-Salam, a member of the party leadership, says native Swedes who want to live among other native Swedes are racist.

“We have a housing market where you can live wherever you want. But choosing not to live next to someone based on their last name is racism,” she said.

The essence of totalitarianism, of which socialism is an ancient flavor, is “You have to live the way I want you to live, not the way you want to live.” Totalitarianism entered the United States officially with the Civil Rights Acts, which eliminated the formerly undoubted right of Freedom of Association. When the government tells you with whom you may and may not associate, you are not free.
