The CBS News program “Sunday Morning” has been hailed as one of the “crown jewels” of the network—which means it’s larded with liberal bias. Last year, it was a conveyor belt of Democrats.
It aired puffball interviews with Pete Buttigieg, Doug Emhoff, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Kamala Harris. So, it was typical when CBS reporter Seth Doane traveled to Italy for this week’s show to get the hot interview with “Hollywood icon” George Clooney.
Things got spicy when they discussed what went wrong in 2024. Doane asked Clooney if he still felt good about his New York Times op-ed calling for Biden to step aside.
“Yes. We had a chance,” Clooney answered. “I wanted there to be—as I wrote in the op-ed—a primary. Let’s battle-test this quickly and get it up and going. I think the mistake with it being Kamala is that she had to run against her own record. And it’s very hard to do if the point of running is to say, ‘I’m not that person.’ You know, it’s hard to do. And so, she was given a very tough task. I think it was a mistake, quite honestly.”
So, Clooney wanted a primary, which obviously did not happen. It could have happened if Democrats had pressured Biden out in 2023, but they denied and delayed until the disastrous debate, and then it was too late for a primary. It left them with the irony of being the Democrats without any actual democracy.

Google News is the only major Big Tech news aggregator that consistently highlights Al Jazeera, a network so sympathetic to radicalism that MRC’s Dan Schneider refers to it as “Hamas News.”
Google propped up the leftist Qatari-funded media outlet Al Jazeera a staggering 15 times in recent weeks. MRC analysis found that Google News was the only major news aggregator that consistently included Al Jazeera. Google’s persistent promotion of Al Jazeera, a network known for its hostility towards Israel, serves as yet another example of the tech giant’s disdain for the Jewish state.
Schneider commented on Google’s pattern of radicalism. “Every scientific evaluation of the major AI platforms shows that they are all biased to the left. But Google seems desperate to win the gold medal for being the most radical of them all,” he said. “This is just the latest example of how it pushes its agenda. It is no wonder that several Congressional committees and regulatory agencies are investigating it.”

As part of their breaking-news coverage of Dick Cheney’s death, NPR’s Morning Edition turned to Jonah Goldberg, who tweeted “Dick Cheney, a great man, has passed after an amazing life. RIP.” The “great man” part didn’t come up on NPR.
NPR morning anchor Steve “Obama’s Always Cool” Inskeep had to make Cheney’s death about Trump.
NPR didn’t exactly think that was Cheney flip-flopping on everything he ever believed out of personal spite. Pro-Trump analysts would have Inskeep that voting for an abortion-loving socialist who wanted to fund transgender operations for prisoners wasn’t “ironic,” it was two middle fingers at the Republican Party. But Goldberg said Yes to irony.

Federal and state criminal investigations into a Virginia woman who distributed leaflets disclosing the home address of a White House official, Stephen Miller, have prompted a secret court fight over the balance between personal safety and free speech at a time of rising political violence, recently unsealed court documents show.
The records, which were reviewed by The New York Times, reveal that a local court approved the search of a cellphone belonging to the woman as part of an investigation that included multiple local law enforcement agencies as well as the F.B.I. and Secret Service.
The activist, Barbara Wien, has not been charged with any crime, though the Virginia State Police still have her phone. The investigation remains active, leaving it unclear whether law enforcement has since gathered additional evidence.
The dispute captures the fierce tensions over political activism that have become a defining feature of the second Trump presidency, pitting the Miller family’s concerns for their security against the First Amendment claims of a critic of the administration.
In an atmosphere in which political violence against Republicans and Democrats has become more common, administration officials have increasingly voiced worries about their security, citing in particular the assassination of the right-wing activist Charlie Kirk and two attempts in 2024 to kill Donald J. Trump.
“… and Democrats”? I know of no instances of somebody trying to kill a Democrat.

On November 3rd, a leaked memo revealed that the BBC’s Panorama programme had edited President Donald Trump’s January 6th, 2021 speech in a way that misrepresented his remarks, making it appear as though he was encouraging supporters to riot at the Capitol.
The programme–aired a week before the 2024 U.S. presidential election–showed Trump telling the crowd he would march to the Capitol to “fight like hell.” In reality, the President had said he would walk with supporters “to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
According to the 19-page dossier, Panorama merged footage from the beginning of Trump’s speech with segments from nearly an hour later, creating the false impression that he said, “We’re gonna walk down to the Capitol and I’ll be there with you and we fight. We fight like hell and if you don’t fight like hell you’re not gonna have a country any more.”

There’s no getting around it: Our “corporate media” is down on capitalism, and a new poll showing a growing disdain for the foundation of American economic thought shows the media tilt may be working — or the professorial tilt.
An NBC News poll of 1,000 registered voters found that support for capitalism fell under 50 percent for the first time in seven years. The chilling shift “comes as some democratic socialists, like New York mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani, gain prominence in the Democratic Party,” NBC News national politics reporter Ben Kamisar wrote in his November 2 item. Only 44 percent of registered voters — a mere plurality — now view capitalism positively. Previous NBC News polls “showed slim majorities viewing capitalism positively.”
Just seeing what the American people are inundated with on a day-to-day basis by rich media hacks denigrating the very system that gave them their prosperity in the first place.

Two of the three major broadcast networks, ABC and NBC, attempted to depreciate the ongoing Islamic genocide against Christians in Nigeria during their morning programs on Monday. Over the weekend, President Trump threatened U.S. military intervention if Nigeria’s government failed to stop the mass-slaughtering themselves, while also ignoring comments from Nigeria’s president being open for the military assistance.
The mainstream media started to pay attention to the atrocity only because Trump made it newsworthy. Both networks fixated on Trump’s guarantee to enter the region “guns-a-blazing” in the absence of swift action by Nigerian authorities over the last several months.
On ABC, Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan and chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce didn’t deny the existence of violence in Nigeria, but described it as a religiously-neutral phenomenon.

The Trump administration has banned the media from an area of the White House they previously had access to after some reporters were discovered surreptitiously capturing video of sensitive information.
Officials revealed that reporters have also been found ‘spying’ on private, closed-door meetings in the White House and wandering into already restricted areas near the Oval Office, in order to “ambush” Cabinet officials after private meetings.

This past week, Fox News updated viewers on the search for domestic terrorists who ambushed immigration agents after they raided a marijuana farm by blocking agents’ vehicles and aggressively attacking them with large rocks, shown in a disturbing video that went viral during the summer.
As Fox covered a press conference by U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli in the aftermath of several key arrests, MSNBC not surprisingly ignored it since the network downplayed the violence and did not show the graphic video in the aftermath of the July 10 raid.

Last Tuesday, at a Senate hearing on political violence, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) lamented that Donald Trump, who he says has talked about punching people in the face, has never apologized for it. Well guess what, Cory Booker has said that sometimes he wants to punch Donald Trump, and I have yet to see an apology from him. Booker also falsely stated that Chuck Schumer had “apologized” for what many had perceived as a threat to Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch. Unfortunately, the media failed to point any of this out.
On June 22, 2019, Booker, appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and informed the audience that “Donald Trump is a guy who you understand he hurts you. And my testosterone sometime, makes me wanna feel like punching him.” The macho man then bragged, “Which would be bad for this elderly out of shape man that he is if I did that. This physically weak specimen.” Booker has pretty much gotten a pass for his violent talk.
As for Schumer, he spoke at a rally outside the U.S. Supreme Court in 2020 focused on a Louisiana abortion rights case. “I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have unleashed the whirlwind, and you will pay the price…You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.” Two years later, in June of 2022, a man attempted to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his home. Schumer did say he regretted the words he used, but did not apologize.

CNN’s Abby Phillip swung by The Breakfast Club radio show on Tuesday to promote her book about Jesse Jackson and at one point argued that it’s a known fact that many voters and “especially white voters” apply a higher standard to black candidates. Phillip provided no evidence for her accusation.
Co-host Loren Lorasa led Phillip by wondering how Jackson’s failure to become president in the 80s impacted people like former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris, “How would all of that be different if he had been able to get in office and do what he was doing before he was voted president or not voted president?”
Phillip replied, “It’s really interesting. It’s such an interesting question. I mean, I think one of the reasons that Vice President Harris and Barack Obama have had to present a certain way to the American public is the perception that a broad swath of the electorate, especially white voters, won’t take a black candidate seriously unless they are very buttoned up, have the resume all lined up, the whole thing. And that’s accurate, right? That, like, we all understand that you kind of have to clear a higher bar in order to even be let in the door.”
If so, so what? Before I would vote for a black candidate, I would expect some assurance that he doesn’t hate white people, as far too many black candidates (and all Democrats, so far as I can tell) do. That doesn’t strike me as unreasonable.

On Thursday’s CNN This Morning, Audie Cornish left little doubt as to which party’s approach to ending the government shutdown she favored.
She played clips of two senators commenting on the impending halt of SNAP [food stamp] benefits. First was Elizabeth Warren, claiming that President Trump “is telling 15 million hungry children: eat dirt.”
Then there was a clip of Republican John Thune, the Senate Majority Leader, saying that “SNAP recipients shouldn’t go without food. And we’ve tried to do that 13 times. You [Democrats] voted no 13 times.”
Thune’s point was that Senate Democrats have voted no 13 times on a continuing resolution that would have reopened the government, thereby funding the SNAP program.
Did Cornish criticize Warren for her slanderous assertion that President Trump is telling millions of hungry children to eat dirt? Or did the CNN host point out that Democrats voted 13 times for continuing resolutions during the Biden administration?

Wednesday was a grim day at CBS News as reportedly around 100 people were axed as part of long-rumored layoffs numbering 2,000 people across its parent company Paramount Skydance. The ranks of those let go were vast and deep with both remaining CBS Saturday Morning hosts shown the door, correspondents with decades of experience (and all women), its Race and Culture unit, and even two entire shows.
Most notably, CBS Saturday Morning co-hosts Dana Jacobson and Michelle Miller were reportedly let go, along with their executive producer Brian Applegate. Miller had been with CBS since 2004 and Jacobson since 2018.
While the New York Post said the show will be “slated for a radical revamp,” The Los Angeles Times’s Stephen Battaglio reported Wednesday afternoon the show would live on with “a new format that will align it closer to the weekday show.” Either way, it was unclear as of Wednesday night whether a final episode will air of the current format.

On Monday, MSNBC host and podcaster Nicolle Wallace welcomed Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker to The Best People for a truly surreal interview. Within the span of only a couple of minutes, Wallace would declare that no Democrat has ever compared President Trump to Adolf Hitler, then claim that if they did, it would be appropriate, and then sit back and listen as Pritzker did precisely that, all while claiming he wasn’t.
Pritzker’s conceit was to say that he wasn’t suggesting that Trump would throw people in death camps, but that what Trump is doing follows a similar authoritarian playbook to one the Nazis used to amass power. With that in mind, Wallace claimed that the Nazi comparisons are completely appropriate.

Democrats have controlled most big cities for decades, if not half-centuries or more. Our Democrat-enabling media outlets don’t press mayors or governors when blue-city governance fails. They don’t present the ugly facts. Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-Illinois) showed up for an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier on Special Report on Thursday, and found himself struggling with the facts.
Baier began by discussing a Fox News crime map showing which of the top most populated U.S. cities have the highest murder rates. “Why does Chicago have the highest murder rate of all the big cities?” he asked.

Every once in a while, the “fact-checkers” at PolitiFact publish reader comments, and this one stuck out: “Your site seems to be mostly about Trump all the time,” read one comment. “How about a little less Trump, and write more about any other falsehood subjects?”
PolitiFact’s audience chief Ellen Hine acknowledged they’ve published over 1,000 “fact checks” on President Donald Trump—1,124, to be precise. But then she trotted out the false claim that their targeting is nonpartisan: “Without keeping count, we try to select facts to check from all sides of the political spectrum. At the same time, we more often fact-check the party that holds power or people who repeatedly make attention-getting or misleading statements.”
That “without keeping count” is an obvious excuse. Anyone who attempts to count what they’re doing will quickly realize they’re very partisan in their targeting—and in their ratings on truth and falsehood.

On Tuesday’s edition of ABC’s Behind the Table podcast (The View’s podcast), Joy Behar recounted to host Brian Teta about her liberal activism during the Vietnam War. Inspired by last weekend’s so-called “No Kings” protests, Behar hyped how she used to rant to her students back when she was a teacher and encouraged them to draft dodge. She also whined about one girl who “snitched” and got her fired.
Behar kicked off the show by decrying how Republicans were dismissing the protests as “a big nothing,” according to her. To counter that, she tried to suggest five to 10 times the number of estimated attendees actually supported the protests.
Is every Democrat a self-righteous asshole, or do we just see the worst of them in the news?

The current White House has taken things to an extreme. It’s a tried-and-failed experiment that should be scrapped before it does any more harm.
Blame Democrats. I do.

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show is so desperate to prove that New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is not a communist that it sent Desi Lydic to interview Communist Party USA co-chair Joe Sims to insist that Mamdani is not, in fact, one of them. Of course, Sims had to propagandize as well as he lamented his movement’s “bad reputation” and that communism is actually all about freedom to do what you wish, which might have been the funniest moment on the comedy shows all year.
After a montage of clips of people calling Mamdani a communist, Sims asked, “You’re saying Mamdani’s a communist?”
Lydic insisted, “I’m not saying that. People are saying that,” which led Sims to again wonder, “Really? How come nobody told me? I’m the co-chair of the Communist Party.”
Just as you don’t need to belong to the Libertarian Party to be a libertarian, you don’t have to belong to the Communist Party to be a communist.

One of the more tiresome mantras of leftist media coverage is Trump allegedly paging through his “authoritarian playbook.” The media have their own protest playbook, as you could tell when leftists organized another mass protest titled “No Kings,” as if we’ve ever had a king.
The network newscasts slobbered all over this Saturday event, using very similar language. “Millions” took to the streets! A “massive” nationwide turnout to oppose “what they call creeping authoritarianism.” They sound like they’re reading a press release. “More than 2,700 rallies in all 50 states,” as “organizers estimate seven million people” turned out.
All of these newscasts carried no ideological labels – no “liberal,” no “leftist,” no “progressive,” and no whisper of extremism. You can tell from the crazy signs, like “Impeach Trump Again,” and also “Impeach, Remove, Convict, Repeat,” that these are some furious radical lefties.

he New York Times came out with a story on rising car payment delinquencies that at first glance would make readers think it was President Donald Trump’s fault. But — as always — the devil’s in the details: This issue was a lingering carry-over from the Biden administration.
“Lower-Income Americans Are Missing Car Payments,” Times business reporter Sydney Ember’s October 20 headline read. She wrote that “Inflation and a tough job market are making it harder for some people to pay back the car loans they signed in better times.”
Sounds pretty bad, unless you’re a political opportunist looking to whack Trump with any political cudgel you can get your hands on. But the hidden plot twist would make anyone paying attention do a double-take: “The share of subprime auto loans that were 60 days or more past due reached a high of nearly 6.5 percent in January and has lingered near that level, according to Fitch Ratings.”
Hmm, who was president for most of January? Because it certainly wasn’t Trump. Ember never mentions Biden at all — of course —and proceeded to keep her story devoid of the necessary context.

On Tuesday, October 14, the cast of ABC’s The View whined on-air that Republicans didn’t want to come on the program to talk with them. According to co-host Joy Behar, Republicans were “afraid of us.” But after a clip of Behar’s suggestion went viral, Republicans and conservatives began to call out The View for repeatedly turning down their requests to appear on the show.
“I was going to say that I think we should have more Republicans on the show, but they don’t want to come on. They’re scared of us. It’s like Marjorie Taylor Greene says that she finds the Republican men afraid of powerful women,” Behar declared.

The trend of the late night hosts devolving from comedians into DNC talking heads continued on Monday as they gushed over the weekend’s No Kings protestors. According to them, the size of the crowds should discredit the idea they were actually quite radical.
On The Late Show, CBS’s Stephen Colbert excitedly wondered, “Do you feel that? Do you feel the vibe? It’s electric in here. You can feel the energy in this room because these folks are still high from the No Kings rally this weekend. That was beautiful! It’s a beautiful sight to see. On Saturday, 7 million people turned out in over 2,700 events in all 50 states.”
I doubt seriously that so many people were involved.

Liberals always present themselves as smarter than conservatives. But even their attempts to “own” the conservatives can mangle the facts. On CNN‘s “NewsNight,” 22-year-old MeidasTouch Democrat Adam Mockler compared President Donald Trump to Hamas terrorists because they were both “elected democratically.”
Earth to Mockler: Hamas had one election and never allowed another. Trump won an election, then lost an election, and then won another election. America is a vibrant, contentious democracy. Meanwhile, Hamas marked its “peace deal” with Trump by executing people in the streets. Gaza fits all the Left’s constant talk of authoritarian demise.
“Public” radio is an ever-swirling cesspool of these wild-eyed authoritarian-conspiracy theories. They’re not QAnon—QAnon doesn’t have 1,000 stations that were until very recently taxpayer-funded.
Trump has constantly tested the boundaries of executive power, but all the comparisons to mass-murdering dictators just keep getting more ridiculous as democracy continues in America.
