One of the biggest myths surrounding Cuban health care is the country’s low infant-mortality rate. Cuba is able to achieve what appears to be a remarkably low infant-mortality rate not through superior and widespread health care, as defenders of the system want to believe, but rather through forced abortions and falsified statistics.
Cuba has one of the highest abortion rates in the world. Women are regularly pressured into aborting babies that could have some sort of “abnormality,” and Cuban doctors are notorious for performing abortions without consent of the mother.
Moreover, Cuban doctors have admitted to regularly falsifying statistics about childbirth in an attempt to keep the country’s child-mortality rate artificially low.

It’s ironic that the documentarian best known for a television series about the Civil War seems to have forgotten the Civil War. That is the only conclusion one would have to make about PBS filmmaker Ken Burns because on Friday’s The 11th Hour With Brian Williams, after briefly discussing Robert E. Lee and Woodrow Wilson, he declared that “this is the most fraught time I think in the history of our republic.”
Really, Ken? More fraught than the American Civil War that you chronicled in which over half a million died? Well, according to the sanctimonious lecture provided by Burns, these times are even worse because of “misinformation and paranoia and the lying voter suppression.”
He’s saying this to Brian Williams, who is known for misinformation. There’s a lecture about Critical Race Theory, and Burns cartoons the conservative (and common sense) opposition as usual.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell a whopping 725.81 points July 19 as “anxiety mounted over the spread of the Delta coronavirus variant and its potential impact on the global economy,” The Wall Street Journal reported. It was the “worst session since October” for the index.
But CNBC seemed to already know how it would spin the story at 10:42 a.m. when the market was in the heat of its nosedive: “Stock market volatility can be an opportunity for investors. Here’s why.”
CNBC pulled the nothing-to-see-here angle from its back pocket and pontificated how “[w]hile volatility can be troubling for investors, experts caution against any hasty selling when markets fall.” Really?
The outlet ran two subheadings in its piece that were just as absurd given the extent of the market collapse. The first was “Volatility is common.” The second was “Volatility can be your friend.”

Some liberal journalists and media outlets like to mock Fox as not real “news,” given that the network doesn’t parrot their left-wing agenda. But no one should ever consider ABC actual “news.” The network is committed to producing propaganda for corporate overlord Disney. Thursday showcased yet another pathetic example as Good Morning America devoted more time to pushing Black Widow than covering the latest on the Surfside disaster in Florida.
Co-host Robin Roberts sounded like a talking Disney press release, opening the 7:30 hour by robotically cheering, “We are counting down to Black Widow finally hitting theaters tomorrow. It is one of the most eagerly anticipated movies of the summer! Fandango reporting that the Marvel movie has already zoomed past F9 in presales!”
Beating F9 in pre-sales is insider-y showbusiness info. It’s not news. (And yes, the news show actually had an on-screen clock counting down. See picture above.) But she wasn’t done. Sounding like some Communist China propagandist for the state, Roberts saw only good things for Disney stock shares: “Industry experts predicting a massive weekend for the blockbuster with more and more people returning to the movie theaters.”

Today we’ll talk about how to write the classic New York Times column, using Thomas Edsall’s recent “Trumpism Without Borders” as our example. It must have taken him about 40 minutes to write it.
Edsall blames the populist movements sweeping the globe on the same ills that “led to a right-wing takeover of the federal government by Donald Trump.” To wit: “anti-immigrant fervor, political tribalism, racism, ethnic tension, authoritarianism and inequality.” Fascism awaits us unless we keep importing low-skilled immigrants and shipping jobs abroad!

Peter Daszak, the guy who landed a lucrative NIH contract to study bat COVID in Wuhan four months before the Obama administration banned gain-of-function research on US soil, has penned yet another screed in The Lancet in an obvious attempt to put a ‘science’ bow on the natural origin theory, while once again dismissing the possibility of a lab-leak.
Recall Daszak was behind a now-infamous February 2020 Lancet letter signed by 27 authors – many of whom have since distanced themselves or retracted – which claims COVID-19 could have only evolved in nature, and that the lab-leak hypothesis was virtually impossible. Daszak has since ‘recused’ himself from the Lancet’s COVID-19 commission due to his overwhelming conflict of interest, but has still been provided a platform to reiterate his defense.

Armed insurrection—a motley mob riot with no leaders, no firearms, no plans, and resulting in five fatalities, four from natural causes and one shot while unarmed by an unnamed police officer.
Assault—anything but 120 days of rioting, looting and arson, $2 billion in damage, 25 killed, and 14,000 arrested.
Bipartisan—you are if you hate Trump.

It may be the most astonishing story of the year that no one is paying much attention to. As the Wall Street Journal recently reported on their front page, “Chinese officials are drawing up plans to further loosen birth restrictions and transition toward policies that explicitly encourage childbirth,” (emphasis added). According to Chinese insiders, China, the most populous nation on the planet, is replacing its brutish childbirth restrictions with a program allowing, and even rewarding, couples for having kids. Beijing has announced that its demographic problem today is too few young people, not too many.
The New York Times put the point even more emphatically in its coverage of this amazing twist of fate, by acknowledging in a headline that the dreaded “population bomb” of the 1960s and ’70s has turned into a global “population bust.”

When it rains, it pours. And when it comes to ratings at the Jeffrey Zucker-led clown show known as CNN, it’s a monsoon. The second quarter’s ratings came out on Tuesday and the immature, noxious, and repugnant network suffered its worst month in total viewers and the 25-54 demo since June 2019. And that’s not to mention that primetime ratings have tumbled 71 percent in total viewers and 78 percent in the demo since January.

Vox finds an acorn … almost.
There’s no one simple reason for this. Experts are clamoring for the government to collect more data, but the complexity of the problem lends itself to complex solutions.
So they know acorns exist, they just can’t be bothered to do the work to find some.
In an interview in early June, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg acknowledged the problem, but he offered no solutions except the need to study it further.
Hey, he didn’t join the cabinet to do any actual work, after all.

Krugman’s latest drivel was headlined, “Economics in a Post-Truth Nation.” Krugman attempted to convince readers that Republicans were daft for not accepting that “we’re clearly in a much better place economically than we were just a few months ago.” Krugman dismissed skyrocketing inflation and hiring problems as “transitory” and “temporary.” In Krugman’s own words, “I still miss the days when truth mattered.” Ironic that Krugman, who claims to care about “truth,” is the same person who peddled a conspiracy theory last year that former President Donald Trump coerced the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) to fudge the numbers on explosive job growth that occurred in May 2020.

I’ll bet you thought Rolling Stone was a magazine about music. Nope. It’s full Narrative mode.
A recent exposé showed how billionaires dodge taxes on their wealth. The bigger scandal is how the rich pay an army of lawyers, accountants, and more to hide trillions from any government
Apparently this has come as a surprise to certain people.
If one has trillions, surely it’s rational to spend millions to defend the rest from predation through taxation? Nowhere is it suggested that these activities violate the law; the gravamen of the article is the apparent moral depravity of actually desiring to (lawfully) minimize tax liability. (The swine!)

This is a major production about — you guessed it — the January 6 incident. The Narrative Media are desperately trying to build this molehill into a mountain, hoping that it will divert attention from the volcano of Antifa/BLM violence that has extended over the Era of Covid.
It won’t work, of course; there isn’t any there, there. Not even Eisenstein could turn this police-facilitated college weekend into an ‘insurrection’ except in the minds of the Anointed, who REALLY REALLY needed some sort of squirrel to attract the attention of the left side of the Bell Curve.
