Anyone expecting tough questions from CBS’s Margaret Brennan to U.S. Representative Ilham Omar was sorely disappointed at the end of this week’s Face the Nation. Brennan instead provided a tour-de-force in media coddling, as Omar was the beneficiary of a kid-gloves interview that cast her as the victim of unfortunate events beyond her control.
This coddling of Omar is, as was noted by our own Tim Graham, part of a broader pattern seeking both to shield Omar from her connections to the Somali welfare scam currently roiling the state of Minnesota and to Trumpwash the scandal by focusing on President Donald Trump’s reference to Omar as “garbage” during a recent Cabinet meeting. As a reminder: Trumpwashing is that media tactic that suppresses any and all coverage of a Democrat scandal until President Trump reacts to it, then shifts coverage to turn Trump’s reaction into the scandal, as opposed to the scandal itself.

When you’re on Team MS NOW, you think there’s nothing funny going on when Jim Acosta starts lecturing about civility in press briefings. During his time at CNN, Jim Acosta may have been the rudest White House reporter in modern history, but only with one president. On Saturday’s Velshi, substitute host Charles Coleman welcomed in Acosta and fellow White House screamer April Ryan.
Coleman asked for Acosta’s reaction to how White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt excused Trump trying to silence a rude reporter with a “Quiet, Piggy.” Typically, the liberal journalists think you can exhibit maximum rudeness to Trump – like calling him Hitler – but he is now allowed to be rude in return. But his strategy in response – for the anti-Trump press to stop covering Trump until he behaves – would be a huge win for the White House.
Acosta insisted that any boss in any newsroom would be fired for being this rude to a female reporter.

Last week on November 17, 26-year-old Bethany MaGee was randomly attacked and set on fire while riding a Chicago commuter train, leaving her with life-threatening injuries. How did we get Trump? This video shows some insight into one reason why Trump ran (love of country is the other reason) and why he is steamrolling over certain lefty Democrats. I never watch the correspondence suppers, my contempt for much of the media was already formed by the time this happened. I have heard funny clips from these dinners but not these clips. Perhaps the media didn’t want to showcase how intolerable their own kind were. Perhaps I wasn’t listening to Rush the day he played it, if he even knew about it.
I saw this clip for the first time this morning and so much more makes sense. The scorn they showed him, the utter lack of respect of him, the joy they had in mocking him in public, we can relate. That is the same scorn we Trump supporters have felt for over 10 years from both sides of the aisle. Heck, there are even a few on ricochet who could use a dose of self-reflection. I’m not referring to those who merely dislike Trump and offer polite disagreement, but to those whose posts and comments reek of the same insulting condescension as the people showcased in the video had. No, we don’t fall for the cowardly explanation that the insulting posts exist to teach us about Trump. Trump isn’t on ricochet so he won’t see them. Trump supporters on ricochet see them and are the target, well, not me anymore. Ignoring them works.
Thanks to ricochet’s moderation, posts here remain mostly civil, unlike the sewer that other social media sites have become. Insulting posts about Trump that push the limits of the CoC will probably continue but who is really the butt of the crude comments and jokes? Trump, his supporters, or the writers?

abortion. Pushing abortion pills after the repeal of Roe v. Wade is heroic in their eyes. On Wednesday’s PBS News Hour, health care reporter Sarah Varney spent almost ten minutes glamorizing an “underground network” of abortion pill distributors in pro-life states. It’s “underground” enough that PBS helpfully hid the identities of all their heroines, avoiding head shots and using aliases.
Transparency took a beating for these headless leftists, but the elitist media love the way it makes America look like a dangerously backward place.
Varney noted six out of ten abortions are now achieved with pills, which is why Varney is touting these brave pill-pushers. She started by attending a training session for doulas: “Their teacher, who goes by Ashaba (ph) to protect her identity, is part of an underground network. She helps people in states where abortion is illegal get access to abortion medication…. Ashaba says this word-of-mouth network stretches south from Illinois to Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana.” So she’s the Harriet Tubman of infanticide.

Dominating the cover is a sparkling Taylor Swift on stage somewhere, with guitar, arms flung wide open, big smile on her face as she apparently is singing one of her hit songs.
Just below her are six previous TIME Person/Man of the Year covers from over the decades. They feature:
- “The Guardians and the War on Truth: The Staff of the Capital Gazette on December 9” – Prominently listing the murder of journalist
- President-elect Jimmy Carter (in January of 1977 for 1976, the year Carter came from political nowhere to win the presidency)
- Bill and Melinda Gates and Bono as “The Good Samaritans” for 2005
- The American Soldier featuring three uniformed soldiers in fighting gear for 2003.

The Washington Poop, paper of record for the Deep State.
More accurately, ‘spending the most on politics’. Leftists have this delusions that spending money equals influence, which for them I guess it does, but Michael Huffington can testify that spending more than your opponent doesn’t guarantee a win.
The 20 most prolific donors on the Forbes billionaires list have collectively given nearly $5 billion between 2015 and 2024, spending on everything from state ballot measures to congressional elections and presidential races. Some have concentrated on supporting issues of interest. Finance billionaire Jeff Yass has poured millions into supporting pro-school-choice candidates in his home state of Pennsylvania and across the country.
While some billionaires have given similar amounts to both parties, the most prolific donors gave almost exclusively to one party. In federal races, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman gave just under 90 percent of his total donations to Democrats and liberal committees; all the other top 20 donors were even more lopsided. Nobody gave over $5 million to both Republicans and Democrats.
Considering how much power the government has over the economy, who, having money, wouldn’t spend it to influence the people who could confiscate all of that money if they had a mind to?

New York Times Houston bureau chief J. David Goodman sounded aggrieved in his Texas-based story in Wednesday’s paper, “Texas Declares Muslim Civil Rights Group a Terrorist.” This is how liberal papers routinely describe leftist agitators. They’re “civil rights groups.”
As for the phrase “Muslim Civil Rights Group,” the Times is actually talking about the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Hamas-linked Islamic pressure group. “Civil rights group” should not describe a radical group whose national executive director Nihad Awad declared himself happy about the October 7 massacre by Hamas — a story covered by the Times in December 2023 but ignored in this new story. “I was happy to see people breaking the siege and throwing down the shackles of their own land,” Awad said.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has also designated CAIR a terrorist group.

As she did just over a year ago, Alyssa Farah Griffin, the faux conservative for ABC’s The View, came to the defense of Vanity Fair editor Olivia Nuzzi, the liberal journalist who cheated on her then-fiancé Ryan Lizza with Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. During Thursday’s episode, Farah Griffin proclaimed floozy Nuzzi was “one of the best writers of my generation” and hoped she “will come forward and defend herself” from new allegations of sleeping with another politician and a former MSNBC host.
Near the top of the segment, moderator Joy Behar was perplexed that people had a problem with a journalist having affairs and sleeping with their sources: “And her ex-fiance, who’s also a political reporter, is writing a blog claiming that she had an affair with yet another politician. Okay. (…) So, what’s wrong with that?”
“The problem is that’s unethical under journalism standings,” co-host Sunny Hostin had to explain to her. “I mean you can’t sleep with a source because there’s an immediate conflict of interest in your reporting. And she gave glowing reports – She wrote glowing reports about the two men that she allegedly had affairs with.”

Sunny Hostin, the staunchly racist co-host of ABC News’s The Views, was on a roll this week between declaring on Monday’s show that America was “founded” on “racism and slavery;” then doubling down on Tuesday’s edition of their Behind the Table podcast, saying “this country still is sickened” with such things.
In a bitter rant during Monday’s show, reacting to former First Lady Michelle Obama’s comments attacking America for not electing a woman yet, Hostin gave her take “as an afro-Latina” lashing out at America as racist:
If you include all of the anti-white racism, she’s probably correct.

Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews appeared on CNN News Central on Tuesday afternoon to hawk his latest book worshiping the Kennedys, but the appearance turned into an embarrassing outing as two of his broad proclamations about contemporary politics turned out to be wildly false. In the past week, the Apple News aggregator entirely excluded right-leaning media outlets in its top 20 daily stories.
During the week of Nov. 8-14 Apple promoted articles from NPR, The Washington Post and NBC, but Fox News Digital was notably missing from the Apple News daily lineup. Fox News Digital is the third most-visited news site in America according to Statista’s list of “[l]eading global English-language news websites” calculated by monthly visits. New York Post and Daily Mail are not far behind. However, not a single Fox News, New York Post or Daily Mail article appeared among the top 20 news articles curated by Apple News editors each day of the week.
News aggregators curate articles from various sources to create a news feed that includes a wide range of outlets.
Of the 140 articles MRC Free Speech America researchers examined, 93 were from outlets rated “left” or “lean-left” by AllSides.

The Atlantic, a Voice of the Crust.
What, exactly, is the plan for all the pennies?
Many Americans—and many people who, though not American, enjoy watching from a safe distance as predictable fiascoes unfold in this theoretical superpower from week to week—find themselves now pondering one question. What is the United States going to do with all the pennies—all the pennies in take-a-penny-leave-a-penny trays, and cash registers, and couch cushions, and the coin purses of children, and Big Gulp cups full of pennies; all the pennies that are just lying around wherever—following the abrupt announcement that the country is no longer in the penny game and will stop minting them, effective immediately?
The answer appears to be nothing at all. There is no plan.
This is the sort of proglodyte twat that writes for the Narrative Media. Whatever it is, there has to be a plan. A government plan. To be without a government plan is to be outside of civilization. The very foundation of the world will tremble.
Exactly why there needs to be a plan for the pennies now in circulation is never discussed. Never even mentioned.
Can’t people just spend ’em if they got ’em? 300 billion. That ought to be enough to keep people happy.
Could they stick them in penny-collection cards?
Melt them down for model soldiers?
Put them on railroad tracks because that just the dumb shit that people do?
Apparently not.
There must be a plan. And it must be a government plan. Else the universe will dissolve into chaos.

Before MSNBC transforms into MS Now at midnight on Saturday, The 11th Hour host Stephanie Ruhle joined ESPN and SiriusXM host Stephen A. Smith on Thursday for his Straight Shooter podcast. Once there, Ruhle offered up an unconvincing excuse for why she does not have Republican guests on her show.
What made Ruhle’s response even more strange was that Smith didn’t even ask about guests. Instead, he simply wondered, “What role is Stephanie Ruhle going to play? On Wednesday, CBS Mornings and NBC’s Today predictably served as clapping seals in celebrating Jack Schlossberg — the grandson of John F. Kennedy and thus royalty on the left — launching a bid for a Manhattan-area House seat despite having only been an “influencer” and a self-described provocateur on social media. In other words, he’s never had a real job.
To be sure, as a child of a Kennedy he’s really never had to work in his life.
NBC was particularly enthralled and head-over-heels as a longtime friend of the show might be representing many of them in Congress.
They teased a full segment on Schlossberg not just once, but twice. In the second, co-host Savannah Guthrie gushed: “Then, just Jack. John F. Kennedy’s grandson throwing his hat into the political ring…The social media lightning rod now looking to takeover a high-profile seat. The full story coming right up.”
Co-host Craig Melvin tossed to correspondent Stephanie Gosk: “Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, announcing on social media overnight that he plans to run for Congress. Schlossberg is targeting an open seat in a high-profile, influential district in New York.”
The ancient cliché that politics is “show-business for ugly people” suggests that non-ugly people have an even smoother road. After all, “show-business” does actually involve a modicum of work, whereas politics merely requires effort, which is not the same thing; and damned little effort at that, as former Representative George Santos has demonstrated.
