Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension was his own fault. The ABC late night host’s mean-spirited commentary disguised as comedy drove conservatives away. Kimmel was completely unconcerned with this development, but his desire to turn his show into a liberal echo chamber might prove to be his downfall because when he claimed that conservatives were desperately trying to “characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,” ABC felt they had no choice but to take him off the air.

Several characters on Thursday’s CNN This Morning show would have you believe there wasn’t easy way to define Antifa, a left-wing extremist group President Trump recently promised to designate as a terrorist organization. This contradicted to previous CNN coverage of Antifa, which formally recognized the group and provided no doubt as to who they were and their intentions.
CNN host Audie Cornish set the stage for the table discussion by ascribing the militant left group an ambiguous connotation: “Antifa, though, I’ve just been hearing about for years, this kind of amorphous concept.”
Cornish, who’s been working in journalism for over two decades, should know better. If she could be given the benefit of the doubt, her opener could be interpreted as voicing a question the silent audience might have been asking behind the camera. But that’s not what was going on.

Liberal journalists love to describe their fellow liberals as “Critics.” As “critics say conservatives are wrong.” Or sometimes it’s simply “Experts say.”
“Alarmed” is a strong word, a promise that journalist Stephanie Sy’s actual report failed to fulfill. It’s noteworthy that it’s only PragerU’s right-leaning world-view expressed in the educational videos aimed at schoolkids would supposedly trigger “alarm,” not the decades of left-wing propaganda pushed at every level of education in American schools and universities.

The president of the leftist magazine The Nation Bhaskar Sunkara was up in arms over Vice President J.D. Vance’s connection of his publication to billionaire George Soros during a recent TV interview. The reality: Vance was hovering over the target, and Sunkara was being blatantly deceptive.
Sunkara railed against Vance in an X post for saying Soros “funds” The Nation: “I’m not sure where he’s getting his information, but JD Vance is lying about The Nation magazine.” He continued, claiming unequivocally that “we’re not funded, not one dime, by Soros or Open Society Foundation.”
Here’s the deception: Up until 2019, The Nation was directly affiliated with the nonprofit media outfit The Nation Institute, which had in fact received at least $1,349,000 from Soros’s organizations between 2004 and 2019, according to Foundation Directory Online data. In January 2019, it was announced that The Nation Institute was officially rebranding to become the Type Media Center to expand beyond its connections to the magazine.

The Claremont Institute has been located in Southern California since its founding in the late 1970s. From its perch in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, it has become a leading intellectual center of the pro-Trump right.
Without fanfare, however, some of Claremont’s key figures have been leaving California to find ideologically friendlier climes. Ryan P. Williams, the think tank’s president, moved to a suburb in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in early April.
His friend and Claremont colleague Michael Anton — a California native who played a major role in 2016 to convince conservative intellectuals to vote for Mr. Trump — moved to the Dallas area two years ago. The institute’s vice president for operations and administration has moved there, too. Others are following. Mr. Williams opened a small office in another Dallas-Fort Worth suburb in May, and said he expects to shrink Claremont’s California headquarters.
“A lot of us share a sense that Christendom is unraveling,” said Skyler Kressin, 38, who is friendly with the Claremont leaders and shares many of their concerns. He left Southern California to move to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 2020. “We need to be engaged, we need to be building.”

In a crazy September 11 piece, the British magazine sought to downplay communist Democratic New York City Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s affiliation with the radical Democratic Socialists of America party. In “Who’s afraid of the Democratic Socialists,” the outlet was giddy over the fact that they could “prove to be the left’s populist alternative to Trumpism.” For Mamdani, The Economist tried to help his illusory “centreward” rebrand of himself by distancing him from the DSA’s nutty platforms like defunding the police and closing jails.
How did the outlet achieve this? According to The Economist’s spin, the DSA “no longer officially holds those positions.” No, you didn’t misread that.

This return to a bias by omission came after Monday’s CBS Mornings broke the blackout on the lead broadcast network newscasts of this bloody, horrifying, and unprovoked attack while ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News arrived on scene later in the day.
…
This leaves the total network coverage of the murder at just under six and a half minutes between ABC, CBS, and NBC, a paltry number compared to, say, the Daniel Penny case or even the Epstein files.

Last year when I was asked to write a chapter for a US book on the incredible inroads and attacks on our civil liberties during the thuggish Covid lockdown years I decided, in part, to rank the worst offending groups. The lawyerly and doctorly castes were bad. They were woeful in fact. But the politicians as a class, the ones who ultimately made the calls, were worse – and there were very few exceptions to that generalised claim, as any Australian knows who looks for politicians who, say, resigned from Cabinet on principle (nada, zero) or who spoke up publicly and loudly against the massive authoritarian over-reach and aping of the policies of the Chinese Communist Politburo (a mere handful at most).
So I gave the silver medal for thuggish lockdown commitment and stalwart thuggery to the political class. However, in terms of letting all of us citizens down I reserved the gold medal for the journalists of the legacy media. As a class they exhibited no scepticism. No thinking for themselves. They were fearmongers and PR agents for the modellers, public health gurus, ‘nudge’ manipulators and politicos. Yes, there were some brave exceptions. But very few. What we got from the legacy media was a sort of attempt to play the type of media you’d see in George Orwell’s 1984, dealing in Big Brother doublethink. And all of that is on top of the verifiably huge drift towards the political Left of the legacy media over the last few decades.
Well, if you were hoping things would get noticeably better after the lockdowns ended, they haven’t.

All this past month leftist journalists have been wailing about President Donald Trump’s attacks on democracy.
The likes of MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart and Ali Velshi feared that America was “sliding into autocracy” and questioned if the country could withstand the “internal demolition” carried out by Trump. Former ABC News correspondent Terry Moran claimed Trump was the “man that we were warned about by the Founders.”
Trump’s crackdown on crime in Washington D.C. was spun as an unnecessary “occupation,” and the type of tyrannical action that a North Korean dictator would take.
Sadly, the sickening attack on a Minneapolis church brought out – once again – the media’s hatred of gun rights and religion. MSNBC contributor Michael Steele sneered “I’m so beyond” the “nonsense” of “thoughts and prayers.” Former MSNBC and ESPN anchor Keith Olbermann blamed “Republicans, MAGA” and “Trumpists” for the shooting and urged that they must “pay for their crimes.” Comedian and one-time ABC’s The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell falsely claimed the shooter was a “Republican, MAGA person.”

Tuesday’s New York Times led with a 2,500-word screed by science reporter William Broad. “Historians See Autocratic Playbook in Trump’s Attacks on Science” took off from that headline and became quickly even more laughable, taking us back 400 years to the Inquisition. The prominent story was even illustrated with a painting of astronomer Galileo’s 1633 church trial for heresy for insisting the Earth moves around the sun.
“The war on science began four centuries ago when the Roman Catholic Church outlawed books that reimagined the heavens. Subsequent regimes shot or jailed thousands of scientists,” Broad boomed before continuing his screed.

On the Wednesday edition of his eponymous NewsNation show, host Chris Cuomo took a rare swipe at his former employer, CNN and seemingly storied chief international affairs correspondent Clarissa Ward for giving attention to a dubious group of purported “scholars” who claimed Israel was carrying out a “genocide” against Palestinians in Gaza. Cuomo blew up the erroneous accusations by pointing to the facts on the ground and how the group weren’t actually scholars and broke their own regulations in order to reach their conclusion.

Leftist organizations like the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center have been saying for decades that “conservative extremists” are the biggest domestic terror threat in the US. Of course, the ADL and SPLC have been oddly quiet when it comes to the multitude of leftist related shootings and terror attacks in recent years, including several transgender related mass shootings since 2018. These incidents don’t fit the progressive narrative mold.
You will likely never see a TV series based on government agents scouring the internet for left-wing extremists plotting potential mass killings, even though there is an endless gold vein of real life story material to be mined for such a show. Until Donald Trump took office this year, it’s highly unlikely that the FBI was looking into woke zealots with any seriousness.
The focus of Hollywood propaganda, the focus of government propaganda and the focus of NGO propaganda has long been the demonization of conservatives, red pillers, anti-feminists, militia members and “white supremacists” (essentially anyone against mass immigration from third-world nations). Overtly political productions are crushing Hollywood’s profit margins because they still operate on a model that treats the “right wing” as a fringe minority. In reality, the right wing is the majority.
Apple TV apparently still hasn’t gotten the memo, or, they’re releasing content today that they started shooting years ago and it’s too late to turn back. Their latest series, The Savant, is set to be released this month and the trailer has gone viral on social media, but not in a good way.

Former MSNBC host and professional crazy person Joy Reid joined former colleague Katie Phang on her YouTube show that partners with the MeidasTouch Network on Tuesday to argue that the news media is not being tough enough when it comes to questions around President Trump’s health. In one specific instance, Reid went deep down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole and claimed Trump was only “supposedly shot,” and she’s just asking questions.

CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig turned heads on the August 29 edition of The Arena when he actually upended the media meltdown over Trump’s act supposedly being illegal. Honig noted that “there is some suspicious activity here that’s really problematic by Lisa Cook.”
Cook has been accused of falsifying bank records in order to secure more favorable loan terms. Honig, concurred, noting that “[n]ow, why would someone do all this? Because you get better interest rates. Because you get better tax benefits. That can be worth tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
In his estimation, Honig concluded that “the allegations on their face could be enough for a judge to say, ‘Look, I’m going to defer to the president on cause.’”
You know something’s up anytime you get an analyst from the TDS-afflicted CNN to agree with Trump on anything.

Mr. Giuliani was riding in a Ford Bronco when a Honda HR-V hit his vehicle on a northbound section of Interstate 93 in New Hampshire, the state police said in a statement. The two vehicles hit a median and were heavily damaged, the police said.
The driver of the Honda was a 19-year-old from Concord, N.H., according to the police.
he Bronco was being driven by an adviser to Mr. Giuliani, Theodore Goodman.
That much is clear. The moments leading up to the crash are not.
Michael Ragusa, Mr. Guiliani’s head of security, said that the Bronco had been flagged down by a woman who was the victim of domestic violence. The former mayor called 911, waited for help to arrive, and then left, Mr. Ragusa said.
The state police confirmed the domestic violence incident, saying in a statement that it had occurred on a southbound stretch of the highway in Manchester, N.H. Troopers and fire officials who were assisting the woman saw the Honda strike the Bronco and rushed to help, the police said.
No good deed goes unpunished.

New York Times has-been Paul Krugman had enough trouble trying to sell his bona fides as a serious economist without making himself look more foolish mucking about with issues beyond his imaginary expertise. Federal law as it pertained to the president’s ability to fire Federal Reserve governors is no exception. Krugman took to his unhinged Substack blog to kvetch August 26 over President Donald Trump’s so-called “illegal” act of firing Fed governor Lisa Cook on grounds pertaining to potential mortgage fraud.
“I’m not a lawyer,” wrote Krugman (no kidding), “but it seems clear that he does not have the right to summarily fire Fed officials, certainly on tissue-thin allegations of mortgage fraud before she even went to the Fed.” Apparently he’s never read Section 10 of the Federal Reserve Act, which gave the President power to fire Fed governors if “cause” was shown. In fact, the Federal Reserve Act wasn’t even mentioned once throughout his entire piece.
