How ABC News Manufactures a Medicaid Cut Crisis

6th October 2025

Read it.

The federal government is shut down, at least in part, because Democrats are attempting to reverse Medicaid spending cuts that were enacted earlier this year as part of the “One Big, Beautiful Bill.” Democrats are refusing to support a continuing resolution that would keep funding the government unless it restores those cuts.

ABC News is determined to help the Democrats make their case for reversing Medicaid cuts, even at the expense of whatever journalistic credibility it has remaining. To wit, “Good Morning America” aired a story by senior White House correspondent Selina Wang about “looming Medicaid cuts threatening the already dire maternal health system.”

The story claims that more than 5.5 million women already live in “maternity care deserts,” referencing a 2024 report by the March of Dimes, and argues that Medicaid cuts “could force more maternity wards to shut down.”

Almost everything about this story is factually incorrect or severely misleading. First, the factual errors. The March of Dimes report claims that 2.3 million women live in maternity deserts, less than half the 5.5 million asserted by ABC News. ABC may have calculated 5.5 million by adding the 3 million women identified by the March of Dimes who “live in counties with limited maternity care access” to the 2.3 million women who they say live in counties classified as maternity care deserts. Even then, ABC appears not to know its 123s because the sum of 3 and 2.3 is not more than 5.5.

Who’s Not Considered? NPR’s Evening Guest List TILTS Dramatically Left, 53 to 3

6th October 2025

Newsbusters.

NPR president and CEO Katherine Maher amazed the House Republicans when she testified to Congress on March 26 that she’d never witnessed any liberal bias on NPR, and that “We have a responsibility to serve Americans across the full political spectrum in a trustworthy, nonpartisan fashion.”

Maher laughably claimed to the Washington Post on August 6 that NPR had no “affinity for one party or one perspective over the other,” characterizing the organization as ideological only in that it supports “democracy and the Constitution and the role of the press and the right of every citizen to seek and receive information.”

Wrong. We studied the guests appearing on NPR’s two-hour afternoon news show All Things Considered during the two-month period between July 19, 2025, the day after Congress rescinded taxpayer funding for NPR, and September 18, 2025.

Liberal/Democrat-leaning guests outnumbered conservative-Republican-leaning guests by an astounding disparity of 53 to 3 — and of those three, one was anti-Trump. The political partisanship was also more stark on NPR, with a 12-1 party breakdown of Democrats/liberal politician guests versus Republican ones.

WaPo Admits Internal DC Police Scandal Over Manipulated Crime Stats

Five weeks ago, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller announced that there was an ongoing DOJ investigation into whether Washington D.C. officials manipulated crime statistics – calling it a “massive scandal.”

One day after Miller’s late-August announcement, National Police Association spox Betsy Smith told ABC4 News in a little-noticed report that “Commanders and supervisors were having the initial responding officers write the report differently than what they were called to, or different than what they physically saw on the scene.”

And while the DC Police Department has been run by Democrats for decades – frustrated cops have been talking to the DOJ and have receipts, presented with a bow by D.C. Police Union Chairman Greggory Pemberton.

Velshi Unhinged: September 30, 2025 ‘One of Darkest Days in Modern American History’

6th October 2025

Newsbusters.

Last Tuesday, September 30th, ICE agents conducted an overnight raid at a Chicago apartment complex, and arrested 37 illegal aliens from several countries. The complex was targeted because it was frequented by members of the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua. Two gang members were among those captured along with others with criminal records. But MSNBC’s Ali Velshi says that raid, and Donald Trump’s speech to U.S. Generals, later that day, will make September 30th be remembered as one of the darkest days in U.S. history.

Velshi just could not get over that illegals, many with criminal records, could be successfully rounded up in the middle of the night. He opened his Saturday edition of MSNBC’s Velshi by saying, “Quote, ‘we are under siege. We’re being invaded by our own military.’ End quote. Now you’d be forgiven for thinking those were words describing Syria or North Korea, but they came from a witness describing a scene unfolding in Chicago this week.” He was quoting someone named Darrell Ballard, who spoke to the ABC affiliate in Chicago about the ICE raid. Velshi went on to repeat witness claims that residents were separated into groups and led into vans. He informed his audience that, “This came with a military style name. The Trump administration called it Operation Midway Blitz .” Oh my!

Leftist Media Blame Kirk Assassination on Conservatives

4th October 2025

Newsbusters.

In the immediate aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, there were sickening statements made by both journalists and celebrities that either blamed Kirk himself or conservative rhetoric for his death.

Before Kirk’s death was even confirmed, MSNBC contributor Matthew Dowd criticized Kirk for constantly pushing “hate speech” and added: “hateful words….lead to hateful actions.”

CBS Mornings host Nate Burleson pressed former GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy: “Not everyone took to his [Charlie Kirk] words or his rhetoric….They were offensive to specific communities….Is this a moment for your party to reflect on political violence?”

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann actually put the onus on the President: “Charlie Kirk is dead – as so many others are dead or threatened or wounded or living in fear – because there is a Donald Trump.”

The Hollywood Left also pushed the angle that conservatives were at fault. ABC late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel’s spreading of this disinformation got him briefly suspended: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”

Sadly, the calls for the left to tone down their rhetoric (in the wake of the Kirk shooting) went largely unheeded as they quickly returned to their attacks on “authoritarian” Trump’s attacks on democracy.

Colbert Claims It Is ‘Stupid Fearmongering’ to Say Dems Want Benefits For Illegals

4th October 2025

Newsbusteres.

The synergy between the liberal late night comedy shows and the liberal news media was on full display on Thursday night as The Late Show’s Stephen Colbert and The Daily Show’s Ronny Chieng each relied on their journalist compatriots on CBS and The Daily Show, respectively, to claim Republicans are, in Colbert’s words, being “stupid” and “fearmongering” by saying Democrats want to give federal benefits to illegal aliens in exchange for ending the government shutdown.

Colbert introduced a montage of Republicans making that point by declaring, “The sticking point of the shutdown negotiations has been healthcare. The Democrats want to restore some of the Affordable Care Act benefits that the Republicans cut earlier this year in the Big Beautiful Bill, or as the Republicans describe it.”

The problem for Colbert and his friends is what is the definition of an illegal immigrant? According to Vance, the Biden administration waved a magic wand and gave millions of illegal immigrants legal status by designating them as parolees.

Wikipedia Tastes Well-Earned Backlash Over Effective Media Blacklist

2nd October 2025

Newsbusters.

Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger published a list of reforms for the heinously biased online encyclopedia, including calling for an end to what amounts to an effective blacklist of right-leaning media, as exposed by MRC Free Speech America. The response was swift.

Sanger posted his “Nine Theses on Wikipedia” on X Sept. 29 and explained them during interviews with independent journalist Tucker Carlson and Just the News founder John Solomon. Sanger denounced Wikipedia’s “perennial sources” list, which MRC Free Speech America exposed for effectively blacklisting right-of-center media sources while greenlighting a majority of left-of-center media sources. In response, pro-free speech advocates joined in condemning Wikipedia. X owner Elon Musk, for his part, praised Sanger’s theses, writing, “Some good suggestions from the co-founder of Wikipedia.”

Fox News Digital’s Emma Colton uncorked a new Joe Biden scandal Tuesday with a slew of never-before-seen notecards the then-President was given to help him remember names and faces at events, including Hillary Clinton and Denzel Washington. This time, Colton also revealed ABC’s chief Biden regime apple polisher Mary Bruce has some explaining to do.

In this batch obtained exclusively as part of the investigation into the Biden regime’s use of the autopen, Colton revealed a notecard included Bruce’s name, face, and alleged questions at an April 26, 2023 press conference with the then-South Korean president.

The card included a thumbnail photo of Bruce, her name, outlet, and then two questions. The first concerned his reelection bid: “2024: How do YOU view the path forward? How do YOU think about YOUR place in history?”

Jimmy Kimmel’s Audience Numbers Implode After Brief Spike

1st October 2025

Read it.

Progressive late-night television is dying. The signals could not be more clear with Stephen Colbert’s cancellation due to $40 million losses every year on productions costs. If Colbert is failing, then nearly all late night shows a failing. Many analysts have been speculating that Jimmy Kimmel was next on the chopping block.

During the second quarter, Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged 1.77 million total viewers. That’s down quite a bit from 2015, when Colbert joined the late-night lineup and Nielsen says Kimmel averaged 2.4 million total viewers. The leftist comedian has become infamous in the past five years for his political hot takes and overt hatred of conservatives, just as the majority of late night hosts have gravitated to propaganda rather than entertainment. This has not helped their audience ratings.

Then, Kimmel threw himself into the middle of the public turmoil over the Charlie Kirk assassination. His ABC “cancellation” was short lived and the show was back in a week. Broadcast affiliates Sinclair and Nexstar decided to bring Kimmel back and his return garnered 6.5 million viewers. Democrats cheered as if they had just won a political victory, but reality is not kind to the delusional.

CNN’s Tapper Spends Hour Implying Kimmel Is the REAL Victim of Kirk Assassination

30th September 2025

Newsbusters.

On Sunday’s The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, CNN host Jake Tapper spent an hour mourning the six-day suspension of ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel — a personal friend Tapper didn’t disclose — as dangerous for free speech, regardless of Kimmel’s vile comments about it on September 15.

Most disgusting was Tapper relegating the September 10 murder of Charlie Kirk to a supporting role, thus painting a narrative (via use of his time) that Kimmel’s suspension had more dangerous consequences than someone’s murder allegedly by someone who did so because of Kirk’s political views.

What the Public Memory of Charlie Kirk Revealed

Jorge Ramos Blames Charlie Kirk’s Murder on Guns and ‘Disinformation’

28th September 2025

Read it.

In a recent opinion column, former Univision anchor Jorge Ramos attempted to make sense of Charlie Kirk’s senseless murder. In the process of failing to do so, Ramos fell back on familiar tropes.

The Substack column, titled Charlie Kirk, Guns and the Internet, danced around the actual motive behind Kirk’s assassination. Instead, Ramos ascribed the murder to ideologically vague “extreme polarization” and “disinformation on social networks”, while also lashing out against the right to keep and bear arms.

To his credit, he did these things after unambiguously condemning the murder of Kirk. Such is the state of our political discourse that this even warrants mentioning, as opposed to being a normal thing that everyone assumes.

Guns don’t shoot themselves.

Misinformation comes from the leading purveyors of supposed information, when they get it wrong–as they habitually do.

ABC Goes Full DNC During Government Shutdown Preview

28th September 2025

Newsbusters.

After a Friday World News Tonight report on the possibility of a government shutdown, ABC might need to rename its network DNC because throughout the segment, host David Muir and White House correspondent Rachel Scott combined to utter the phrase “Democrats say” three times while never once using the equivalent “Republicans say.”

Muir kicked things off by declaring, “We turn next tonight to this potential government shutdown, now just five days away. The White House threatening mass firings of federal workers. Democrats say they’re fighting to reverse Medicaid cuts and to keep health insurance premiums from going up for millions. Democrats say the White House has refused to meet. Here’s Rachel Scott.”

Medical Groups Warn Against Visa Fees for Foreign Doctors

27th September 2025

The New York Times, a Voice of the Crust.

The United States depends heavily on physicians trained abroad.

Ask yourself why that is.

The key obstacle is the limited number of residency positions, which are essential for medical school graduates to become fully licensed physicians. Despite more students graduating from medical school, thousands of qualified graduates are unable to enter residency because the number of training slots has not kept pace with demand. This is largely due to a cap on Medicare-funded residency slots imposed by Congress in 1997, which has remained effectively unchanged for over 25 years and restricts hospitals’ ability to train more doctors.

Once again, government is the problem, not the solution.

Feeding Our Fraud: Inside the Walz Campaign

26th September 2025

Power Line.

Yesterday Acting United States Attorney for Minnesota unveiled the first charge in what is expected to be a case involving a billion-dollar Medicaid fraud in Minnesota’s EIDBI benefit program. The defendant — Asha Farhan Hassan — is also the defendant number 76 in the massive Feeding Our Future fraud case. She will plead guilty some time soon.

For some reason or other, Ms. Farhan is not described as a “Minneapolis woman” in the local media coverage of this monumental scandal. KARE 11’s Lou Raguse does not even mention the involvement of the Twin Cities Somali community in the ripoff. His story is “Feds charge first Autism Center fraud case stemming from Feeding our Future investigation.” (“Asha Hassan, owner of Smart Therapy Center, is accused of stealing $14 million in taxpayer money by bribing parents to enroll their kids for phony autism services.) I have posted the video below.

The Feeding Our Future fraud scandal, the Housing Stabilization Services fraud scandal, and the EIDBI autism benefit scandal have all taken place under the nose of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Walz too is conspicuous by his absence in the media coverage of these scandals.

Snopes Finds ‘Rhetorical Similarities’ To Goebbels In Miller’s Kirk Memorial Speech

25th September 2025

Newsbusters.

After Charlie Kirk was assassinated there was some nice-sounding talk about toning down the inflammatory political rhetoric, but some on the left didn’t get the memo. After Kirk’s memorial service, some internet-dwelling lefties compared Trump advisor Stephen Miller’s speech to that of future Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels’s 1932 speech about Horst Wessel. Snopes’s Nur Ibrahim set about fact-checking this claim on Thursday, but couldn’t bring herself to give it a false label. Instead, she just observed how there are “rhetorical similarities.”

The problem was clear right away, as the first part of Miller’s speech Ibrahim chose to compare was when he said, “The day that Charlie died the angels wept. But those tears had been turned into fire in our hearts. And that fire burns with a righteous fury that our enemies cannot comprehend or understand.”

That was supposedly comparable to Goebbels’s, “So our dead comrade Horst Wessel wrote, and we are fulfilling his prophecy. The others may lie, slander, and pour their scorn on us — their political days are numbered.”

The supposed parallels got even more tortured from there. Nur noted how Goebbel’s speech was called “The Storm is Coming” and then quoted Miller, “When I see [Kirk’s widow] Erika and her strength and her courage, I’m reminded of a famous expression: ‘The storm whispers to the warrior that you cannot withstand my strength, and the warrior whispers back, I am the storm.’ Erika is the storm. We are the storm. And our enemies cannot comprehend our strength, our determination, our resolve, our passion.”

The Corporate Media’s Inexcusably Cozy Relationship With Antifa

President Trump’s designation of antifa as a domestic terrorist entity has the corporate media seething. Here Are 5 Times Jimmy Kimmel Was Totally Fine With People Being Canceled for Their Views

25th September 2025

Read it.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel got his job back with ABC but forgive me if I don’t care too much about his underwhelming, delayed apology to keep himself on air or his defense of “free speech.”

Kimmel was briefly suspended by ABC, which is owned by Disney, after he made a comment that Charlie Kirk was assassinated by somebody who was “MAGA.”

Some called this comment a “joke,” but it certainly didn’t seem like it. Though, in fairness, I can’t recall the last time Kimmel—an alleged comedian—actually said something funny. That was probably reason enough to pull the late-night comic with a laughably small audience for network television off the air.

While Media Denied Leftist Violence After Kirk Murder, Three More Left-Wing Attacks Happened

25th September 2025

Read it.

Another day, another act of left-wing violence. Another act of left-wing violence, another media cover-up for their left-wing terrorist foot soldiers.

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the corporate media put an enormous amount of effort into a psy-op to make Americans believe the assassin was actually a Trump supporter.

While they did that, three more acts of left-wing violence took place: An attempted firebombing of a Fox News van, a shooting at an ABC News affiliate after Jimmy Kimmel’s well-deserved suspension, and, most recently, a shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas.

That is all just in a two-week timeframe, and does not take into account school shootings, other attacks on ICE, assassinations or assassination attempts, and other instances of left-wing violence Americans have seen increase dramatically for the past several years.

The media are running the same playbook for the ICE attack.

Late-Night Shows Have a History of Violent Talk About Republicans

25th September 2025

Newsbusters.

This past Tuesday night, as many Jimmy Kimmel supporters and detractors watched his return to the helm of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, they saw his monologue, and if they hung around past the first break, they saw the first skit.

That skit featured actor Robert De Niro, who was playing the role of FCC Chairman Brendan Carr. Carr has been accused of threatening ABC/Disney to dump Kimmel’s show, or face consequences. Kimmel ripped Carr in the first segment, quoting Texas Republican Ted Cruz who accused Carr of acting like a mob boss. So who better to play the role of a mob boss than De Niro, who has appeared in numerous mob-type movies. But there is something that I bet almost all of those watching Tuesday night’s show didn’t know.

Back in October of 2016, De Niro made a video to get out the vote, which included him calling then candidate Donald Trump, stupid, a dog, a pig, a bull-sh&t artist, you get the picture. But it didn’t stop there, De Niro added that he’d “like to punch Trump in the face.”

The Daily Show Finds Christianity Useful…To Call Conservatives Racist

24th September 2025

Newsbusters.

The Daily Show’s only use for Christianity seems to be using it against conservatives, and the latest installment in this ignoble tradition took place on Tuesday as host-of-the-week Jordan Klepper welcomed Sirius XM host, comedian, and occasional cable news talking head John Fugelsang to the Comedy Central program to discuss his new book on the matter.

Klepper simply asked, “So why write this book?”

Fugelsang replied that, “I wrote this book because I got tired of seeing my parents’ faith used as a cloaking device for meanness and bigotry and superiority. Jesus’s movement was about humility. It was about service to others. It was about uplifting the marginalized, not about total right-wing domination of the school board.”

The Fed’s Mission Creep & QE: Krugman vs Bessent, Who’s Right?

24th September 2025

Read it.

Krugman is an ivory tower economist who would not see inflation if it jumped up and spit grapefruit juice in his eye.

Krugman ignores home prices as if they don’t matter. Not only were home prices going out of sight, they accelerated after after the Fed’s QE madness extended during covid.

Home prices are not in the CPI. Nor are property taxes. Nor is homeowners insurance. So yeah, strip all of that out as if only consumer inflation matters and you get jackass policy from the Fed coupled with jackass comments from clueless economists.

Krugman never addressed any of Bessent’s key points such as ” This harmful cycle concentrated national wealth among those who already owned assets. Within the corporate sector, large firms thrived by locking in cheap debt, while smaller firms reliant on floating-rate loans were squeezed as rates rose. “

How can anyone deny that? Nor can anyone realistically deny the Fed’s alphabet soup of tactics to bail out corporations at taxpayer expense.

Does Krugman deny inept Fed policy created a housing mess of high prices and people trapped in their homes?

He cleverly does not say. Instead, he posts asinine charts of purported inflation and also inflation expectations.

Krugman is not bright enough to know the Fed’s own studies (and common sense) show inflation expectations are irrelevant.

And that about covers it.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) just announced a seismic censorship shift, revealing that tech giant Google has renounced government collaboration and rampant censorship, much of which was exposed and condemned by the Media Research Center.

n a letter to U.S. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jordan on Tuesday, Google’s parent company Alphabet owned up to its infamous history of censoring disfavored speech, and even promised that YouTube would ease up on censoring political content. The tech giant also shockingly revealed that it had censored COVID-19-related content that did not violate the platform’s policies at the behest of the Biden administration.

Sir Ed Davey: Don’t Let Trump’s America Become Farage’s Britain

23rd September 2025

Read it.

Britain’s Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey, on the final day of the party conference in Bournemouth on Tuesday (September 23), attacked far right opponent, Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, for wanting Britain to follow in U.S. President Donal Trump’s footsteps.

READ MORE: https://www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/article/nigel-farage-gun-laws-ed-davey-dunblane-uk-hqn8z736v

“Don’t let Trump’s America become Farage’s Britain,” Davey told the party faithful adding that Farage wanted to destroy the National Health Service, roll back gun laws, buy fossil fuel from Russia and introduce fracking.

Davey warned about “dark forces” in British politics, saying: “Imagine living in the Trump-inspired country Farage wants us to become. Where there’s no NHS, so patients are hit with crippling insurance bills. Or denied healthcare altogether.”

On the contrary, I’d say: Don’t let Ed Davey’s Britain become Gavin Newsom’s America.

Left-Wing Collusion Rocks France’s Public Media

23rd September 2025

Read it.

The revelation to the French public of the close ties between certain public service journalists and the Left by the conservative magazine L’Incorrect sent shockwaves through the small world of French media, the effects of which are still being felt. Under these circumstances, reform of public broadcasting is more urgent than ever, especially since a report by the Court of Auditors has revealed its catastrophic management and the financial drain it represents for the public purse.

In early September, L’Incorrect magazine published a recording made in a Parisian café, revealing a conversation between France Inter state radio journalists Patrick Cohen and Thomas Legrand and Socialist Party executives, leaving no doubt about the degree of collusion between these figures and their concerted strategy to use the public media to push their electoral advantage at the expense of the Right.

Since then, the journalists in question, and behind them the management of the public broadcasting service—Radio France and France Télévisions—have been struggling painfully to restore their reputation, between attacks on whistleblowers and denials of bad faith.

PBS Washington Week: After Kirk’s Murder, Trump Using Govt. to ‘Crack Down on Dissent’

23rd September 2025

Friday’s Washington Week with The Atlantic featured regular roundtable journalist Vivian Salama of The Atlantic sitting in as moderator for Jeffrey Goldberg, and the topic was the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, or rather, the GOP’s supposedly frightening and hypocritical reactions to Kirk’s assassination.

Asma Khalid, another regular panelist now with the BBC, at least summarized the offensive thing Kimmel actually said, though without noting its falsehood (Kirk’s killer was a recently radicalized leftist).

Guest host Salama took it further, perverting the failure of universities to protect the rights of Jewish students, into a crackdown on “dissent,” as if being nasty toward an assassination victim and attacking Jews on campus were just examples of peaceful protest.

Shock: ‘NBC Nightly News’ Runs Story About Far-Left’s Acceptance of Political Violence

22nd September 2025

Newsbusters.

Arguably buried given it aired on Friday’s show, NBC Nightly News nonetheless offered a shocking full segment that conceded the truth there’s “growing support for political violence among the ‘younger, highly online, and ideologically left aligned’” that’s included support for Luigi Mangione, the assassination attempts on President Trump, and the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The piece tried to insert a disclaimer for their liberal base that “both sides are now radicalized,” but the tone was unmistakable.”

Anchor Tom Llamas set the table: “We turn to the rise of political violence in this country. Among young people who spend a lot of time online, support for violent acts is now growing.”

Correspondent Stephanie Gosk came out of the gate with the reality about the broad support for Mangione: “Soon after Luigi Mangione was accused of killing United Health Care CEO Brian Thompson, the memes started celebrating the cold-blooded murder, treating the alleged killer like a hero.”

Network Contagion Research Institute’s Max Horder backed this up by refusing to join in the left’s troubling lionizing of him: “He’s become a symbol for this really enormous and radical and maybe unprecedented change in American culture.”

Egging on the Haters: CNN Pushes for Someone to Sue Over Kimmel

20th September 2025

Newsbusters.

ABC’s indefinite suspension of late night “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel sent a shockwave across the media landscape. On Friday, CNN This Morning claimed FCC Chairman Brendan Carr and President Trump’s reactions to the suspension constituted government pressure against First Amendment rights and were seemingly itching for someone to sue them.

Former federal prosecutor Elliot Williams replied: “Yes, and that is the important thing when we speak about the First Amendment. It’s not private sector entities firing people for things they say, or for being indecorous, or even insensitive. It’s when the government says, ‘We do not like the things you are saying, and on account of the things you’re saying, we are taking action against you.’”

STUDY: Nets Spent Near Double on Blowout Pre-Election Jobs Report Vs. Massive Revision

20th September 2025

Newsbusters.

Remember that blowout September 2024 jobs report the broadcast networks slobbered over in October just before the presidential election? Well, the government admitted last week to a big whoopsie in configuring the jobs numbers. Sure enough, ABC CBS and NBC were clearly not as keen on letting viewers know they just mindlessly swallowed up what the Biden administration spit out for political leverage.

In September 2024, the Bureau of Labor Statistics stated October 4 that a supposedly gangbusters-level 254,000 jobs were supposedly added to the economy, just in time for the election. An MRC Business tally found the lead ABC, CBS and NBC evening news shows from October 4 and subsequent October 5 mornings shows spent a combined 13 minutes and 27 seconds (or 807 seconds) singing its praises.

But when the report was heavily revised, the networks sang a different tune. As it turned out on September 9, 2025, the BLS would heavily revise its benchmark jobs report, conceding it vastly overestimated the Biden era jobs growth in the 12-month period ending March 2025 by nearly 1 million jobs, completely undercutting the over-sensationalized pre-election reporting by the Big Three.
