Value wars between Amazon and Walmart to attract cash-strapped consumers are heating up late in the year. Amazon announced on Wednesday morning the launch of a new private-label line called “Amazon Grocery,” which spans more than 1,000 products and is largely priced under $5. The timing couldn’t be better, as our attention has shifted to a storm brewing in the low-income consumer world.

Amazon Grocery will be a direct competitor to Walmart, Aldi, and other value grocery chains, offering affordable private-label goods amid ongoing value wars (read report). The new line will feature dairy, fresh produce, meat, snacks, and pantry staples priced under $5, an easy hook for low-income consumers. Another selling point: more than 1,000 items can be delivered straight to consumers’ doors, saving them the time and hassle of driving to the supermarket and pushing a cart down the aisles.

“The extensive selection includes everything from milk and olive oil to fresh produce, meat and seafood, with most products priced under $5, offering exceptional value to customers,” Amazon wrote in a press release.

“With Amazon Grocery, we’re simplifying how customers discover and shop our extensive private label food selection while maintaining the quality and value our customers expect and deserve,” Jason Buechel, Vice President of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores and Chief Executive Officer at Whole Foods Market, wrote in a press release.

Ian Roberts, the Iowa superintendent who was arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement last Friday after fleeing from a traffic stop and ditching his district-issued vehicle (in which a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash and a hunting knife was recovered) – completely lied about his bona fides.

He’s also lost his superintendent’s license, while the DOJ launched an investigation hours after ICE detained him. The 54-year-old native of Guyana entered the United States on a student visa in 1999, overstayed, lied on a form claiming he was eligible to work when he was hired in 2023, and now faces deportation.

According to the Des Moines Register, Roberts never obtained a doctoral degree from Maryland university – something which would have been easy to verify during the vetting process. Roberts has “long stated that he received a doctoral degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore. But a university spokesperson told the Des Moines Register on Monday that Roberts did not obtain a degree from the school, despite attending Morgan State from the fall of 2002 through the spring of 2007.”

He attempted to obtain a doctorate in urban educational leadership. Despite his failure, Roberts has claimed on multiple occasions to have “completed” the degree at Morgan State, including in a 2009 self-published book.

Rose Docherty is what they call a criminal recidivist in the United Kingdom. The 75-year-old woman has been arrested for a second time for the same fiendish act: offering to speak to women considering an abortion. She was arrested outside the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for carrying a placard which stated “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.” Fortunately, she and her sign were quickly seized by the local police to protect the public.

Free speech literally does not have a prayer in the United Kingdom. We previously discussed the case of Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, who was arrested for standing near an abortion clinic while silently praying. Police asked what she was doing standing at the location and when she said that she was praying in her head, they arrested her.

President Trump’s address to the United Nations last week was a historic speech and a tour de force. He made the point that the United Nations is a useless talking shop, incapable even of making its escalator and teleprompter work.

He identified the twin threats to the survival of Western civilization to be the uncontrolled flood of immigration from desperate and often chronically criminal people with no interest in becoming functioning citizens of a new jurisdiction, and the drive to reduce carbon dioxide on the mistaken theory that climate change is a threat to life itself.

These waves of illegal immigration are not immigration at all but only desperate masses fleeing adversity, while sheltering substantial numbers of very violent and dangerous criminals. It is an invasion, and resembles nothing so much as the barbarians pouring into the Western Roman Empire in the fourth and fifth centuries A.D., ahead of the more destructive and ferocious barbarians who followed them in the fifth century and completely overthrew the Western Roman Empire.

The president even revealed that the U.N. had made substantial financial contributions to subsidize illegal immigrants into the United States, who are now, at great expense and social stress, being systematically deported.

In yet another development which will certainly complicate current Trump administration efforts to find peace in Gaza, the National Security Committee in the Israeli Knesset is advancing a bill to impose the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners detained for killing Israelis.

Killings which are deemed motivated by “racism or hostility to the public” or aimed at harming the “State of Israel” or seeking to thwart the “revival of the Jewish people” would be a capital offensive, according to the legislation. Interestingly, the wording highlights Jewish citizens of Israel are the priority – and not for example Christian, Muslim, or Druze citizens.

It has unleashed immediate controversy both within and outside of Israel. For starters, some Israeli officials as well as families of Oct.7 victims fear that this puts the remaining hostages in Gaza at immediate risk. Notably, the bill does not apply the opposite direction – that is, it would not apply to Israelis who kill Palestinians.

Barack Obama’s long-promised presidential library is shaping up to be just as corrupt as his administration. You probably haven’t heard much about this in the media, but recent tax filings reveal that money donated to the Obama Foundation—supposedly earmarked for his sprawling “presidential center” in Chicago—is quietly being redirected to one of the left’s most notorious dark money groups: the Tides Foundation.

The numbers tell the story. In 2022 and 2023, the Obama Foundation handed over $2 million to Tides, a group best known for serving as a clearinghouse for radical left-wing causes and for shielding donor identities. It should come as no surprise that George Soros heavily backs Tides, and Tides is directly tied to groups organizing anti-Israel protests. That includes demonstrations against the Jewish state in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 Hamas atrocities. In other words, donations made in the name of funding a presidential library are now helping bankroll organizations promoting antisemitic activism under the guise of social justice.

Fox News Digital’s Emma Colton uncorked a new Joe Biden scandal Tuesday with a slew of never-before-seen notecards the then-President was given to help him remember names and faces at events, including Hillary Clinton and Denzel Washington. This time, Colton also revealed ABC’s chief Biden regime apple polisher Mary Bruce has some explaining to do.

In this batch obtained exclusively as part of the investigation into the Biden regime’s use of the autopen, Colton revealed a notecard included Bruce’s name, face, and alleged questions at an April 26, 2023 press conference with the then-South Korean president.

The card included a thumbnail photo of Bruce, her name, outlet, and then two questions. The first concerned his reelection bid: “2024: How do YOU view the path forward? How do YOU think about YOUR place in history?”

Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger denounced the online encyclopedia for its rampant bias, and among other things, an effective media blacklist, which MRC exposed earlier this year.

In an interview posted on Sept. 29, independent journalist Tucker Carlson interviewed Sanger on how Wikipedia has become “the most comprehensive propaganda op in human history.” During the interview, Carlson took issue with an ill-defined attack on him on his Wikipedia page, to which Sanger explained exactly why prominent figures who have spoken out against the left’s narratives remain undefended from vicious smears on their Wikipedia pages.

Just The News is reporting that “Person 3” in the Comey indictment is not former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe but rather Columbia Professor Daniel Richman. According to the outlet, Richman is the former FBI employee in the indictment who allegedly leaked information about “Person 1,” who is believed to be Hillary Clinton. The report continues the long uncertainty over Richman’s role in these controversies. Richman has described himself as a friend, an FBI special employee, and the lawyer representing Comey at different times. He has also been a columnist and commentator, including for the site Lawfare run by Comey’s friend Ben Wittes. What Richman was doing at any given time remains strikingly uncertain. Professor Richman is not himself charged with any crime.

Comey used Richman as a conduit to the press and admitted that he was the means by which Comey leaked the contents of a memo that Comey improperly removed from the FBI after being fired.

Progressive late-night television is dying. The signals could not be more clear with Stephen Colbert’s cancellation due to $40 million losses every year on productions costs. If Colbert is failing, then nearly all late night shows a failing. Many analysts have been speculating that Jimmy Kimmel was next on the chopping block.

During the second quarter, Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged 1.77 million total viewers. That’s down quite a bit from 2015, when Colbert joined the late-night lineup and Nielsen says Kimmel averaged 2.4 million total viewers. The leftist comedian has become infamous in the past five years for his political hot takes and overt hatred of conservatives, just as the majority of late night hosts have gravitated to propaganda rather than entertainment. This has not helped their audience ratings.

Then, Kimmel threw himself into the middle of the public turmoil over the Charlie Kirk assassination. His ABC “cancellation” was short lived and the show was back in a week. Broadcast affiliates Sinclair and Nexstar decided to bring Kimmel back and his return garnered 6.5 million viewers. Democrats cheered as if they had just won a political victory, but reality is not kind to the delusional.

The superintendent of Iowa’s Des Moines Public Schools, Ian Roberts, resigned Monday after being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement last Friday on a federal deportation order.

Roberts, 54, a native of Guyana, was already suspended without pay and said through his attorney that he did not want to distract from the education of the district’s 30,000 students while he fights the case.

Attorney Alfredo Parrish said Roberts’ legal team is seeking to reopen the case and obtain a stay of deportation, but federal officials have noted Roberts lacked authorization to live or work in the U.S.

Federal authorities revealed what they called a shocking level of immigration fraud after a major enforcement surge in Minnesota, saying they found problems with nearly half of the cases they investigated.

The fraud spanned a variety of immigration programs, including high-skilled guest workers, student visas, fraudulent marriage and the Biden-era Uniting for Ukraine program.

In one case, they found a man who obtained a fake death certificate for his wife to advance his fraudulent application, despite still being married to her — and having another wife in Sweden.

The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division is suing the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, claiming it is infringing on the rights of citizens seeking concealed-carry permits.

The lawsuit is the first affirmative case in support of gun owners filed by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The Civil Rights Division said it had received numerous complaints that revealed “inexplicable” delays well beyond California’s statutory requirements and in violation of the Second Amendment.

Yemen’s Houthis will target U.S. oil majors including Exxon Mobil and Chevron despite an earlier truce with President Donald Trump’s administration to not attack U.S.-linked ships sailing in the Red Sea and the wider Gulf of Aden, the Iran-backed militia said Tuesday.

The Sanaa-based Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC), which liaises between Houthi forces and commercial shipping operators and is associated with the Houthi military, sanctioned 13 U.S. companies, nine executives and two vessels.

Entities designated by the Houthis “shall be dealt with in accordance with the principle of confrontation,” HOCC said on its website of what it will do regarding those deemed to be under their sanctions.

Hollywood has been sliding into a financial abyss that the town may never recover from, so one might expect film industry moguls to back away from the woke cancer that put them on the bad side of the American public. The movie is being hailed by the woke media as a “celebration of modern day Antifa revolutionaries”. Hollywood In Toto says the film “casts an Antifa-style group as its heroes,” while The San Francisco Chronicle described the film, referring to the protagonists as “an allegory that involves antifa-like left wing extremists, a well-funded right wing militia group, and immigrants avoiding ICE.” The Daily Beast called it a “gonzo Antifa rallying cry.”

The story of Roberts was bad enough from the onset. Entered the country in 1999 on a student visa. Ignored a final order of removal by an immigration judge in 2024. Gaming the system to attain a full-time superintendent position, in which he earned a $270,000 annual salary. Fled ICE during a chase, where agents eventually found cash, a knife, and a loaded gun in his vehicle.

In short, an illegal alien profiting off skirting the law represents everything seedy about the failed immigration system in this country. But wait, there’s more.

According to information attained by Townhall columnist Dustin Grage, Roberts has an active voter registration status in Maryland. He has held that status as a registered Democrat (of course) since 2012, according to records.

In emotionally fraught testimony Monday, Steve Federico, father of a young woman who was brutally murdered by a black career criminal in South Carolina, pleaded with Democrats to stop protecting dangerous criminals with soft-on-crime policies.

The House Judiciary Committee held a field hearing in Charlotte, North Carolina, Monday, to “examine violent crime in Charlotte, North Carolina and the surrounding areas looking at repeat offenders and lenient pretrial release policies and decisions among others.”

The man’s daughter, Logan Federico, 22, was fatally shot in the chest by Alexander Dickey, 30, during a home invasion on May 3, 2025. She had been visiting friends at a rented property in Columbia, South Carolina at the time of the execution-style murder.

We have no idea whether the current DOJ indictments will lead to a conviction of James Comey, namely that he authorized FBI subordinates to leak to the media and then lied about it, obstructing Congress in the process.

It may come down to the word of Comey, a known fabricator, against the testimony of his former subordinate, Andrew McCabe, an admitted liar. Take your pick.

We know, however, that Comey is not facing a Trumpian $500 million in potential fines, nor 93 indictments, nor the scrutiny of five different local, state, and federal prosecutors. Nor, like some of the J6 arrested, will he be sent to solitary confinement to await a trial in a year or two or be charged with “illegal parading.”

We also know of the crimes or unethical conduct for which James Comey is not currently being indicted or investigated.

The troops entering Portland are drawn from a pool of 300 guard members who are either trained as military police or have been certified by the state’s police standards agency. Of the 300 qualified guard members, 166 members primarily from the I-5 corridor have already volunteered for service in Portland.

The situation is without precedent, as Trump’s order marks the first time Oregon’s National Guard has been deployed within the state over the objections of its governor, Bomar said. The only other time the president has deployed Oregon’s National Guard was for airport security in the aftermath of September 11, 2001.
