“It’s not looking good for those pardons” President Joe Biden gave out to Hunter Biden, other family members and cohorts in his administration, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) said Thursday.

In an interview with Newsmax, Comer discussed Republicans’ investigation of how staff members used President Joe Biden’s auto-pen to sign documents on his behalf without his consent or, potentially, even his knowledge.

“We’re in the final stages of this auto-pen investigation: it’s not looking good for those pardons,” Rep. Comer explained:

“Get Out of My Fu**ing Shot!”: Second Katie Porter Video Plunges Gubernatorial Campaign Into ‘Disaster’

10th October 2025

Read it.

Katie Porter, the leading candidate to replace Gavin Newsom in California’s upcoming gubernatorial election, has thrown her campaign into chaos after a second viral clip of her berating a staffer emerged hours after she made headlines for throwing a complete temper tantrum in a CBS News interview.

On Wednesday evening, Politico published the second clip of Porter screaming at a staffer.

Get out of my fucking shot!” Porter screeched at a masked staffer who appeared in the background of an online conversation between Porter and then-Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm in July 2021. Porter’s staffer had interjected to correct something Porter said about electric vehicles – which earned the employee a reprimand.

“You also were in my shot before that. Stay out of my shot,” Porter said.

The Student Mule Economy: A Billion-Dollar Problem Hiding in Plain Sight

10th October 2025

Read it.

The U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) released a report in August that made me cringe. It detailed how Chinese money laundering networks (CMLNs) have quietly embedded themselves in the U.S. financial system.

The numbers were hard to ignore: more than 137,000 suspicious activity reports tied to CMLNs between 2020 and 2024, covering more than $312 billion in suspect flows. What caught me completely by surprise was the volume of student-linked accounts—ordinary checking accounts held by Chinese nationals studying in the United States—used as high-speed conduits for laundering cartel funds and sidestepping China’s currency restrictions.

The opportunity is driven by the interplay between supply and demand. Mexican cartels are sitting on piles of U.S. dollars from drug sales. But Mexico doesn’t want those dollars in its banks, and China won’t let its citizens convert more than $50,000 worth of yuan into foreign currency each year. That’s where the arbitrage begins. Chinese buyers want dollars, and cartels want to offload them without a huge hit on the profits. CMLNs broker the swap, and the activities occur below the radar.

Why Trump Still Won’t Win the Nobel Peace Prize

10th October 2025

The Telegraph (UK).

Donald Trump does not align with the ideals of the Nobel Peace Prize and his divisive leadership style will harm his quest for the award, according to insiders.

They say the president’s military posturing, US Aid cuts and worldwide tariffs conflict with the spirit of international harmony that the prize’s founder Alfred Nobel sought to promote. The winner will be announced on Friday from a list of 338 nominees.

Mr Trump has piled intense pressure on the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the five-member body that awards the prize, claiming to have “solved” six wars and arguing that it would be an insult to the US if he does not receive the medal on December 10.

He’s not a Magic Negro and he’s not a socialist. Of course he won’t get it.

How Trump’s Made-for-TV Peace Deal Played Out

10th October 2025

The Telegraph (UK).

It was the sort of dramatic moment on which Donald Trump thrives.

The US president was presiding over a meeting about Antifa violence in Left-wing cities, cameras trained on his every move, when Marco Rubio, his secretary of state, passed him a note.

“I was just given a note by the secretary of state,” announced the president, hushing his audience, “saying that we’re very close to a deal in the Middle East, and they’re going to need me pretty quickly”.

Revealed: The Left-Wing Bias in Britain’s Establishment

10th October 2025

The Telegraph (UK).

The Left-wing bias of the establishment has been revealed in a survey of their views on politics, free speech, the Empire and racism.

Based on interviews with 2,295 members of the establishment, ranging from civil servants and academics to judges, medical professionals and military, the study shows that they are more likely to have voted for Left-of-centre parties, backed remaining in the EU and questioned whether capitalism is best for society.

They are also more likely to be ashamed of Britain’s imperial past, believe that free speech can hurt minorities and damage society and think that racism in Britain is a major problem.

Islamists Planned to Kill ‘As Many Jews as Possible’, Court Hears

10th October 2025

The Times (UK).

A pair of Islamic extremists bought assault rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammunition to kill “as many” Jews as possible in a suicide attack, a court has heard.

Walid Saadaoui, 38, from Abram, near Wigan, was arrested last year by counter-terrorism police in a car park in Bolton while collecting weapons capable of causing “untold harm”, Preston crown court heard.

He and his friend Amar Hussein, 52, who both embraced the views of Islamic State, were prevented from turning their plans into “a tragic reality” by an undercover sting operation, jurors were told.

The men, who are alleged to have prepared for acts of terrorism between December 13, 2023 and May 9 last year had a “long-standing” and “ visceral dislike” of Jewish people, prosecutors said.

The View Defends Katie Porter’s Unhinged Rage, Cussing Means ‘Smarter’

9th October 2025

Read it.

The shrill liberal shriekers of ABC’s The View have long been supporters of far-left rage monster and congresswoman, Katie Porter (D-CA). So it was no surprise that, during Thursday’s show, a majority of the co-hosts had her back during her run for governor even as she hemorrhaged support after a series of videos showed her abusing staff and a journalist. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg, along with co-hosts Joy Behar and Ana Navarro, tried to save Porter’s campaign with a tourniquet of excuses ranging from being human to menopause to just being plain “smarter” than everybody else.

After playing a clip of Porter near the top of the show scream at a staffer to “get out of my f[bleeping] shot,” Goldberg tried to blunt the audiences shocked reaction by singing a line from the musical Hamilton: “I’m not giving away my shot, shot, shot!”

“Maybe she’s having a menopausal moment,” Behar chimed in defense.

I’ve never yet met a Democrat woman who wasn’t a potty-mouth.

The Politics of the Shutdown, Obamacare, Crime, and Deportations

9th October 2025

Read it.

One more time: There is no such thing as free lunch. Government has no money. It acquires the money used to pay for things one of three ways: taxing, borrowing or printing.

Democrat senators, with three exceptions, voted against keeping the federal government fully running because they want to add back spending reduced under the so-called Big Beautiful Bill; they want to spend even more; and they want to extend the expiring Obamacare subsidies.

Democrats call Republicans “liars” for accusing Democrats of seeking government-provided health care for illegal aliens. But when asked whether she supports health care for illegal aliens, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said, “Democrats are demanding health care for everybody.”

At a 2020 Democratic presidential candidates’ debate, the moderator said, “Raise your hand if your government (health care) plan would provide coverage for undocumented immigrants.” All 10 candidates put up their hands.

As for Obamacare, Democrats designed it knowing some subsidies would expire. That way they could downplay its true cost. Their expectation was simple. If Republicans refuse to extend the subsidies, Democrats would accuse Republicans of cruelty, no matter the cost to taxpayers.

WashPost Editorial Board Now Admits Government ‘Too Big,’ ‘Plenty of Fat to Cut’

9th October 2025

Newsbusters.

What in the Benjamin C. Bradlee is going on with The Washington Post editorial board? After shocking the internet by conceding that Obamacare was really just an expensive mess, the newspaper seems to have red-pilled itself hard again.

The Post once again tackled the ongoing political standoff between the GOP and Democrats over the Schumer shutdown, surprisingly chastising liberal lawmakers for being stubborn by continuingly voting down the Republican clean continuing resolution (CR). Then came a jaw-dropping admission from the liberal newspaper: “The government is too big. There is plenty of fat to cut.” But the newspaper even took it a step further: “If the last week has shown anything, it’s that the federal bureaucracy performs too many ‘nonessential’ tasks that do not have a direct bearing on the lives of most citizens.”

Can pigs fly? Are we living in a parallel universe? Are chimpanzees dropping in from the cosmos? The Left will cry “state-run media.” Finding this kind of hot take within the pages of one of the most anti-Trump newspapers in circulation is like finding a real conservative on the Nicolle Wallace show.

Of course, The Post played both sides by caveating its nod to libertarian economics: “At the same time, the government also performs many critical functions.” However, the newspaper’s open rebuke of the Democrats’ incorrigible grandstanding over Obamacare subsidies is a sight worthy of beholding.

Stabbed German Mayor Knew Her Attacker, Remained Silent; Adopted Kids in Custody

9th October 2025

Read it.

The newly elected Social Democrat (SPD) mayor of the German city of Herdecke, Iris Stalzer, was stabbed multiple times yesterday inside her home. The woman’s two adopted children, a 15-year-old son and a 17-year-old daughter, were taken into custody after the incident. Photos of the son being led away in handcuffs were also published in a variety of German media outlets.

Stalzer’s life remains in danger, but according to Focus, she was briefly awake and was able to answer police questions. However, although she signaled she knew who her attacker was, she refused to provide any further details to police.

An investigation remains underway, and so far, it does not appear anyone has been charged in the attack. However, the two adopted children appear to be the focus of the investigation and were actively questioned following the stabbing attack. According to Focus, the 15-year-old son is the focus of the investigation now, with the youth featuring a history of “mental health” problems.

Senate Republicans Use New Rule to Confirm 107 Trump Nominees

9th October 2025

Read it.

It’s the largest block of confirmations yet, with 107 Trump nominees set to fill their roles despite being blocked for several months by Senate Democrats. The confirmations mark a sudden but welcome change in the long term standoff that whittled down the remaining pending nominees on the Senate’s calendar to double digits.

Democrats have made clear from day one of Donald Trump’s second term that they intend to impede or sabotage every single policy initiative and every single cabinet nomination no matter how reasonable.

“Before Senate Democrats shut down the federal government, they shut down the Senate floor – freezing the confirmation process. For months, their blockade created a growing backlog of qualified, bipartisan nominees. Tonight, Senate Republicans confirmed 107 of those qualified nominees and ended the Democrats’ confirmation blockade,” Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said in a statement.

Democrats, Media Rushed to Blame Deadly California Fire on Climate Change. It Was Actually Arson.

9th October 2025

Read it.

Democrats and media outlets were quick to blame climate change and oil companies for the devastating Palisades Fire that ravaged Los Angeles earlier this year. But that narrative crumbled on Wednesday when federal law enforcement officials charged a man for deliberately starting the fire.

Federal prosecutors in California charged Jonathan Rinderknecht with one count of destruction of property by means of fire, a charge that carries a maximum time of 20 years in federal prison. “While we cannot bring back what victims lost, we hope this criminal case brings some measure of justice to those affected by this horrific tragedy,” said acting U.S. attorney Bill Essayli.

The charge—which Essayli said was informed by witness statements, video surveillance, cell phone data, and an analysis of fire dynamics conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives—cuts against the narrative prominent Democratic lawmakers and media outlets pushed following the tragic event.

UN to Slash a Quarter of Peacekeepers Globally Over Funding

9th October 2025

The United Nations will cut a quarter of peacekeepers in 11 operations around the world in the coming months due to a lack of money, senior U.N. officials said on Wednesday, and as future funding from the United States remains uncertain.

“Overall, we will have to repatriate … around 25% of our total peacekeeping troops and police, as well as their equipment, and a large number of civilian staff in missions will also be affected,” said a senior U.N. official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

That would amount to between 13,000 and 14,000 troops and police, the official said.

Choking off funds to the U.N. and its actively-anti-American operations is one of Trump’s chief wins.

Goldman’s Conversation With Top Execs Reveals What’s Ahead for Single-Family Rentals

9th October 2025

Read it.

The Single-Family Rental (SFR) space has become the de facto middle-class housing market across America. With elevated 30-year mortgage rates and high home prices, affordability has collapsed, sidelining multiple generations of Americans from homeownership.

Thus making us more like Europe. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing is an exercise left for the reader.

For expanded visibility into the SFR market, as well as homeownership affordability, demand fundamentals, supply dynamics, rental growth expectations, and the transaction environment, Goldman analysts hosted a private webinar on Tuesday with executives from several of the largest owners of single-family homes in the U.S, including David Todd (Managing Director in Brookfield’s Real Estate group as well as CEO of Maymont Homes, Brookfield’s SFR business), Chris Avallone (Amherst’s CFO & Head of Merchant Banking), and Dave Feldman (Co-President of Progress Residential).

One of the key takeaways from the webinar is that the SFR market remains resilient, driven by high homeownership costs that continue to fuel strong rental demand, particularly in the Midwest and interior Southeast, while softer conditions persist in Florida, Texas, and Phoenix.

China Ends ‘Hide-and-Bide’ Military Strategy

9th October 2025

The Chinese Communist Party and its armed wing, the People’s Liberation Army, last month began a major shift away from the 40-year-old strategy known as “hide and bide” — keeping a low profile while advancing military and economic power — according to an Air Force think tank report.

Instead, Chinese supreme leader Xi Jinping announced during a massive military parade showing off new weapons and firepower that the communist regime is now the leader of a forthcoming world order designed to replace the United States.

“The September 3rd Victory Day parade in Beijing showcased an array of military capabilities intended to demonstrate the fruits of its decades-long modernization effort,” the report by the China Aerospace Studies Institute said.

Interest Payments Eclipsed $1 Trillion as Federal Deficit Hit $1.8 Trillion in Fiscal 2025, CBO Says

9th October 2025

Washington Examiner.

The Congressional Budget Office estimated Wednesday that the federal budget deficit for fiscal 2025 was $1.8 trillion as interest payments crossed $1 trillion for the first time.

That $1.8 trillion number is $8 billion less than what was recorded in fiscal 2024. Tax revenue increased by just over $300 billion, but spending also increased by about the same amount, according to the CBO.

There’s the whole problem in a nutshell. The accompanying graph demonstrates that the Party of Free Stuff is doing its best to bankrupt the country in its quest to buy the votes of the underclass.

MSNBC Downplays BOMBSHELL: Biden FBI Spying on Republican Senators

9th October 2025

Newsbusters.

During Attorney General Pam Bondi’s hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, Senator Josh Hawley bewailed the newly unearthed fact of President Biden’s FBI investigating himself and eight other Republican members of Congress. MSNBC’s Ana Cabrera Reports took the opportunity to fact-check and downplay the importance of the Arctic Frost operation, almost making it out to be routine.

78% Of Americans Favor Deportation of Criminal Illegal Immigrants; New Poll Finds

9th October 2025

Read it.

Nearly 80 percent of Americans favor the deportation of immigrants who are in the United States illegally and have committed crimes, and a clear majority favor deporting all immigrants who are here illegally, according to a new poll.

President Trump’s policy of deporting criminal illegal aliens is his second most popular policy according to the Harvard Caps/Harris poll, just under lowering prescription drug prices for Medicare recipients and low income patients.

The survey was conducted online within the United States on October 1-2, amid loud and often violent left-wing protests outside of ICE facilities in cities like Portland and Chicago.

Of course, as we all know, polls (especially ‘online’ polls) are worth very little. Still, this flatly contradicts all of the ‘polls’ being pushed by the Narrative Media recently.

PBS Pushes Film on Leftist Librarians Claiming ‘Book Bans’ — No Opposing View Allowed

9th October 2025

Read it.

On Sunday’s PBS News Weekend, anchor John Yang introduced a self-satisfied segment on a new documentary from the literary leftists at PEN America, based on the misnomer that books are being “banned” from schools and public libraries, as opposed to being removed due to concerns over age appropriateness regarding explicit sexual content.

PBS is picking up the baton from their public radio cohorts at NPR, which has made a cottage industry conducting performative preening over so-called “book bans,” often when the American Library Association’s “Banned Books Week” rolls around.

Censorship is a histrionic description of removing or limiting access to books in public schools. The books selected by librarians should not be “challenged” for any reason. It’s not a “banned book” when librarians refuse to stock a book.

Nowhere in this seven-minute promotional (and unanimous) segment does Yang disclose that this documentary is funded by the Independent Television Service, financed like PBS stations through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. It’s slated to air on the PBS show Independent Lens next February.

Terraforming Mars Could Be Easier Than Scientists Thought

8th October 2025

Read it.

One of the classic tropes of science fiction is terraforming Mars: warming up our cold neighbor so it could support human civilization. The idea might not be so far-fetched, research published today in Science Advances suggests.

Injecting tiny particles into Mars’s atmosphere could warm the planet by more than 10°C in a matter of months, researchers find—enough to sustain liquid water. Although the scheme would require about 2 million tons of particles per year, they could be manufactured from readily available ingredients found in martian dust.

“It’s not that often you get some really quite new, innovative idea for terraforming,” says Colin McInnes, a space engineer at the University of Glasgow not involved with the work. “The gap between where Mars is and where Mars could be for habitability is narrower than we might think.”

What is Rotoscope Animation? The Process Explained

8th October 2025

Read it.

There’s more than one way to animate a film. And one of the most innovative, albeit time-consuming, ways to bring a movie to life is through rotoscoping. But what is rotoscope animation? While it’s typically associated with modern works like the 2006 film A Scanner Darkly and the recent Amazon Prime series Undone, the technique has roots dating back decades. Let’s take a look at some movies that use rotoscoping to see how it can be utilized for future filmmakers.

I’ve seen this technique used quite often in commervials on TV.

A newly developed biomaterial might be able to treat crippling arthritis by prompting the growth of new cartilage, a new animal study suggests.

The bioactive material looks like rubbery goo, but it’s actually a complex biological stew designed to mimic natural cartilage in the body, researchers said.

The biomaterial successfully regenerated high-quality cartilage in the knee joints of sheep within six months.

How the Regime Captured Wikipedia

8th October 2025

  • Wikimedia’s Movement Strategy, which launched in 2017 with a plan to fund Wikimedia “in perpetuity” with its Wikimedia Endowment, was a significant pivot from Wikipedia’s mission: “where Wikipedia had been built on the principle of decentralized knowledge, the Movement Strategy would veer into the hyper-centralized space of top-down social justice activism and advocacy”
  • The Endowment is an independently governed long-term fund that bankrolls Wikimedia “projects.” It was set up as a donor-advised fund at progressive megafund Tides for its first seven years; Tides’ former General Counsel left to serve as Wikimedia Foundation’s top lawyer around this time
  • Flush with well over a hundred million dollars in cash, the Wikimedia Endowment has funded initiatives that seek to abolish the police and create an “intersectional scientific method,” among others

The West’s Deadly Denial: Hamas’ Jihad Against Jews

8th October 2025

Read it.

As Israel marks the second anniversary of the barbaric Hamas massacre in its southern communities—a day etched in history as October 7th—the world grapples with the ongoing fallout. Yet, amid the geopolitical analyses, diplomatic maneuvering, and humanitarian debates, one critical dimension has been conspicuously overlooked: the profoundly religious motivations behind Hamas’ assault. The attack did not occur on a random Saturday; it was meticulously timed for Simchat Torah, a joyous Jewish holiday that celebrates the completion and renewal of the Torah. This choice was no coincidence. It underscores Hamas’ ideological war not merely against a state but against Judaism itself—a religious crusade that Western narratives, particularly in Europe, have all too often sanitized or ignored.

Founded in 1987 by Sheikh Ahmad Yassin as the Palestinian arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas draws its worldview from modern jihadist thinkers like Hasan al-Banna, Sayyid Qutb, and Abdallah Azzam, the latter often hailed as al-Qaeda’s spiritual mentor. Hamas’ 1988 Charter leaves no ambiguity: “Allah is our goal. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Death in the way of Allah is our exalted hope.” This is not secular nationalism or territorial grievance dressed in religious garb; it is a fundamentalist Islamic vision framing the conflict as an eternal clash between Islam and Judaism, Muslims and Jews.

Police Update: Synagogue Terrorist Pledged Islamic State Allegiance During Attack

8th October 2025

Times News (UK).

Synagogue killer Jihad Al-Shamie rang 999 during his deadly attack pledging allegiance to the so-called Islamic State terror group, police have said.

The 35-year-old made the call claiming responsibility for the attack after driving at worshippers in his car outside Heaton Park Hebrew Synagogue in Crumpsall, Manchester, last Thursday morning as Jewish worshippers attended for the holy day of Yom Kippur.

He then attacked others with a knife and tried to storm the synagogue, wearing a fake suicide belt, before being shot dead by armed police.

Kimmel Claims GOP Is Lying About Health Care Because ‘Klan Mom’ Says So

8th October 2025

Newsbusters.

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel found a strange, new respect for Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a woman he has frequently dubbed “Klan Mom,” on his Tuesday show as he claimed a recent tweet from Greene proved his point that Republicans are lying about health care amid the government shutdown.

Kimmel claimed, “The reason the Democrats refuse to sign this budget agreement is because it will cause millions of Americans to lose their health care. Republicans deny this.”

What Greene omitted and Kimmel continues to omit is that the Obamacare subsidies being discussed removed the cap that limited recipients to those making 400 percent of the federal poverty level for what was supposed to be a temporary COVID relief measure. That means that even if the subsidies were to expire, a family of two making $84,600 could still be eligible. Meanwhile, while Kimmel is trying to say he is right because even Greene agrees with him, Greene is also the same congresswoman who made dire predictions that turned out to be false about what would happen if the U.S. involved itself in the Israel-Iran War back in June.

Louis Geri, 41, was in possession of bottle rockets and Molotov cocktails when he was arrested on the steps of St. Matthew’s Cathedral on Sunday, the Washington Post reported.

Geri, from Vineland, New Jersey, faces eight charges, including manufacture or possession of a weapon of mass destruction in furtherance of a hate crime.

Report: Islamic State-Linked Militants Behead 30 Christians in Mozambique

8th October 2025

Read it.

The Islamic State Mozambique Province (ISMP), a Salafi jihadist militant group and an official affiliate of the Islamic State, last month beheaded 30 Christians and burned down churches and homes in Mozambique, according to a report by MEMRI’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor (JTTM), which tracks activity by terrorist and violent extremist organizations.

ISMP in late September claimed responsibility for the attacks, which took place in northern Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces, according to the report.

The group said it destroyed at least seven churches, shot and beheaded more than two dozen people, and committed acts of arson against Christians and other civilians in several villages.

Imagine how peaceful the world would be if the Religion of Peace didn’t exist.

Judge Frees Chicago Protesters Charged With Ramming Border Patrol Vehicle, Pending Trial

8th October 2025

Read it.

On Tuesday, a judge released pending trial the two suspects arrested for ramming and boxing in a vehicle driven by a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agent in Chicago on Saturday, saying they were not a flight risk and could be trusted to appear in court.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Heather McShain was the judge who presided over the detention hearing, Judge McShain said, given that both are U.S. citizens and lifelong residents of Chicago with no criminal history, they can be released on bond, pending trial, WGN Chicago reports.

Marimar Martinez – reportedly armed with a semi-automatic weapon – and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz were participating in a protest against federal immigration law enforcement in the city when they allegedly rammed the CBP vehicle and attempted to box it in.

According to the criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago, Martinez and Ruiz used their vehicles to strike the vehicle containing three CBP agents Saturday morning near the intersection of West 39th Street and South Kedzie Avenue on Chicago’s Southwest Side.

Both suspects fled, but were quickly apprehended, the Justice Department reports. Martinez, who had been shot during the confrontation, was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she received treatment for her wounds.
The complaint charges Martinez, 30, and Ruiz, 21, both of Chicago, with assault on a federal officer using a deadly or dangerous weapon, as well as impeding, and interfering with a federal law enforcement officer.
