The prophet Isaiah warned a wayward nation: “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.” Right was condemned as wrong, and what darkened the soul was repackaged as enlightenment. Isaiah cautioned that rejecting God’s word would bring devastation. The warning still stands.

Two developments last week expose the warning’s timeliness. For years, activists in media and government have advanced a gender ideology that tells even children they can choose an identity opposite of their biological reality. That confusion is not benign.

In Minneapolis, a gunman opened fire during a school Mass at Annunciation Catholic Church, killing two children and injuring many others. Police identified the attacker as Robert Westman, who identified as transgender and, in notes posted before the attack, expressed regret and anger about “being trans” and deep confusion about identity.

This is not isolated. Recall the Covenant School massacre in Nashville, and now we have Minneapolis—both carried out by individuals who identified as transgender. The point is not to stigmatize anyone; it is to confront a reality our culture keeps trying to deny: ideas have consequences and masquerading a lie as the truth can be deadly.

Yet rather than pause to reassess the narrative, legacy outlets scolded themselves for “misgendering.” NBC News even issued a correction after its initial report used what it called the wrong pronoun when referring to Westman as “he.” “She used female pronouns,” NBC sycophantically stated. This, despite law enforcement identifying the killer as male.

What a commentary on the press. Apologizing for mistakenly telling the truth reflects a deeper malady: trading evil for good and darkness for light. And when this deception is celebrated, children suffer. A civilization cannot protect what it refuses to name, and language becomes a veil for violence.

Still, the media is not the fountainhead of this confusion; they are its amplifiers. The deeper problem is philosophical. If truth is now established by feelings, then law must enforce the feelings.

Authorities say they have tracked the suspected gunman’s movements before, during, and after the campus shooting that killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk and have recovered what they believe to be the weapon used.

Officials said the suspect arrived near the Utah Valley University campus at 11:52 a.m., moved through stairwells to a rooftop, fired from a shooting position, then fled across the roof, jumped from the building, and escaped into a nearby neighborhood. Investigators canvassed the area, speaking to witnesses and viewing doorbell cameras.

“We do have good video footage of this individual. We are not going to release that at this time,” an official said, noting forensic technologies are being used to identify the suspect.

During coverage of Kirk’s shooting, anchor Katy Tur asked Dowd about “the environment in which a shooting like this happens” – a disgusting framing in itself, to which Dowd replied: “He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think that is the environment we are in. You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and not expect awful actions to take place. And that’s the unfortunate environment we are in.”

wo days before a gunman killed Kirk in cold blood during an event at Utah Valley University, Jezebel called upon witches to perform some hocus pocus against the conservative activist: “We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk.” The sub-headline needs no explanation: “If the far-right misogynist with a bad haircut wants to villainize independent women, Jezebel is more than happy to be the hag of his nightmares.” If this doesn’t classify as pure evil we don’t know what does.

Apparently, the outlet was wishing for some sort of demonic entity to shut Kirk up for good: “Now, is it ethical to curse a man I’ve never met? Probably not. But is it unethical to let him keep talking? Yes. So here we are, in the gray area.”

An MSNBC guest wildly speculated and floated the baseless idea on live television Wednesday that Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk may have been struck by “a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration.”

During the segment, contributor Matthew Dowd said, “We don’t know if this was a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration, we don’t know if this was an accident, we don’t know if this was a targeted attack. We have no idea … we don’t know any of the full details.”

Critics immediately blasted the comments as reckless, insensitive, and agenda-driven, noting that Dowd’s remarks were made while Kirk’s condition was still uncertain.

Minutes after the news broke that conservative influencer and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was fatally shot at Utah Valley University, ABC News broke in and seemingly suggested he had it coming for his “controversial” views and for going to a campus that didn’t want him there. “ABC news has confirmed conservative activists and podcaster Charlie Kirk has been shot during an event at Utah Valley University,” announced correspondent Kyra Phillips. “The founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative student organization, is known for his outspoken views on politics, culture, religion, often taking his messages to colleges and universities, sparking sometimes pretty heated debates on campus.”     She quickly brought on chief investigative correspondent Aaron Katersky, who pointed out that Kirk went to the UVU campus despite outrage from the liberal members of the student body: You’re right, his presence there at the university had divided the campus, according to an article in the school paper, where there were people on both sides debating whether he should even be allowed to bring his message, often loyal to the agenda of President Trump, to campus. But he was speaking at this outdoor event in a courtyard. Following Katersky’s report, Phillips pivoted to speak to far-left chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce and doubled down on justifying the attack: “It’s no secret that Kirk has said a number of controversial things over the years, in particular about DEI, Jews, women, LGBTQ community, people of color.”     “He is a massive figure, of course, in the conservative movement. He has been close to President Trump. Of course, I think back to –  I think it was last December when then President-elect Donald Trump spoke at a big Turning Point USA conference,” noted Bruce.

She was also joined by vile former Republican strategist Matthew Dowd, who also attacked Kirk while his life was dangling by a thread.

While playing video of the panicked crowd scattering after the shot was fired, Tur diabolically described Kirk as “a divisive figure, polarizing, lightning rod. Whatever term you want to use.”

She then seemingly asked MSNBC political Allen Smith “why” someone would want Kirk dead. “One of MAGA’s most prominent voices online. He hosts a near-daily podcast. He opines on almost everything. He’s been very closely aligned with the President since his initial run for office in 2015-2015,” he said.

My brother-in-law, who uses X (as I do not) sent me an entire page of leftoid tweets saying things like “Do Matt Walsh next!” and “Do Trump next!” and “Keep up the good work!”. Which only goes to show that the political violence in America these days comes from the Left, not from the Right.

Perhaps this will be the “9/11” event that convinces the Right to quit playing by the rules while the Left ignores them and does whatever it likes. We’ll see. But I think it will get very ugly very soon.

he Cornish are being urged to sign a petition demanding the government recognise Cornwall as the fifth nation of the UK — alongside England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — and grant it devolved powers.

The campaign is backed by Cornwall council, which passed a motion calling for recognised nation status by 53 votes in favour and 22 against.

The brutal killing of Iryna Zarutska (Ukrainian refugee) on a commuter train in North Carolina highlights not only the willingness of leftist corporate media to cover up news stories that jeopardize their woke narratives but also the broader failure of so-called criminal justice reform, which appears to have shockingly backfired and become a major public safety threat. Adding to the mounting outrage, a leftist magistrate judge released the schizophrenic monster on cashless bail (before he killed Zarutska) – another failure point. And then there’s this: far-left nonprofits accelerated the push for disastrous criminal justice reforms.

It’s now widely known that Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, Zarutska’s killer, had been previously arrested 14 times in North Carolina for crimes ranging from assault to firearms possession, and whose own mother admitted he was schizophrenic and should never have been allowed back on the streets, was recently released on cashless bail (before he killed Zarutska) by a progressive magistrate judge despite a two-decade violent crime spree.

The Internal Revenue Service has reportedly fired Holly Paz, a senior official and longtime deputy to Lois Lerner, over her role in the Obama-era Tea Party targeting scandal, multiple sources confirmed in an online report.

The move marks the latest step by acting IRS Commissioner and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to “de-weaponize” the agency.

Paz, who most recently led the IRS Large Business and International Division, was terminated Monday after being placed on administrative leave last month following an internal review. She previously served as Lerner’s top aide when the IRS came under fire in 2013 for applying heightened scrutiny to conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status. A Treasury inspector general report later confirmed that “inappropriate criteria” were used, sparking years of litigation and congressional hearings.

American high-school seniors’ scores on major math and reading tests fell to their lowest levels on record, according to results released Tuesday by the U.S. Education Department.

Twelfth-graders’ average math score was the worst since the current test began in 2005, and reading was below any point since that assessment started in 1992. The share of 12th-graders who were proficient slid by 2 percentage points between 2019 and 2024—to 35% in reading and 22% in math.

There also were drops in the proportion of students who were able to reach at least a basic level of performance, a tier below proficiency.

The results are from tests that are part of the National Assessment of Educational Progress, administered to tens of thousands of students in early 2024.

Denouncing President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to deter crime in areas of the country that are being ravaged by lawlessness, Rep. Crockett contended that the role of law enforcement is merely to solve crimes – after they’ve already been committed.

This return to a bias by omission came after Monday’s CBS Mornings broke the blackout on the lead broadcast network newscasts of this bloody, horrifying, and unprovoked attack while ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News arrived on scene later in the day.

What will Germany look like in 2050? The outspoken deputy head of the German police union (DPolG), Manuel Ostermann, published an excerpt from his book on X about what he sees as the perils of mass immigration. His post described Arab clans dominating big cities in 2050, Sharia law, child marriage, grooming gangs, and a host of other ills. Now, the European Union has censored his post from being seen across the entire continent in a major escalation against a public official, one who is considered one of the leading voices of tens of thousands of German police officers, and a voice frequently appearing in major German news outlets, including Welt and Bild.

Two weeks ago, before both Bloomberg and Reuters, we told our subscribers to “brace for another huge negative payrolls revision”…

… and just like one year ago when we did exactly the same, we were spot on: moments ago the BLS reported that as part of its preliminary annual benchmark revisions, a record 911K payrolls for the period April 2024-March 2025 would be revised away. As shown in the chart below, the biggest revisions were in Leisure and Hospitality, Professional and Business services, and Retail and Wholesale trade sectors.

What is more remarkable about today’s print is that after last year’s stunning 818K negative revision, which was the second biggest since the global financial crisis (and which we also warned ahead of time was coming), virtually nobody expected this year’s number to be higher. It was not only higher, but it was the biggest negative revision on record!

Which is why Trump fired the former head of BLS.

Oil Spikes As Explosions Rock Doha; Israel Targets Top Hamas Leaders In Assassination Operation
Multiple explosions have been reported in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday, according to eyewitnesses cited by Reuters. Initial reports suggest a missile strike or series of possible aerial strikes.

Axios journalist Barak Ravid, referencing Israeli officials, reported that the blasts were believed to be part of an assassination attempt targeting Hamas members. Netanyahu is really going gloves off at this point, it appears, and all negotiations seem definitively off.

Qatar is one of those piss-ant rich Arab states whose entire significance is that they squat on a big pool of oil. They are commonly known to be big supporters (and, more to the point, funders) of Hamas, but they have no military resources to speak of … and I suspect Israel just rubbed their noses in reality. Israel could pretty much erase them if they decided to and could deal with the international hand-wringing. Israel seems to have decided to remind them that there are limits to what they will put up with.

A scandal is rocking the French press: a conservative magazine has just provided evidence, backed up by recordings, of public service journalists openly using media to support the socialist Left. The Right, which has long denounced the shameless collusion between the mainstream media and the Left, sees its worst suspicions more than confirmed, while those concerned try, in vain, to perpetuate the myth of their ‘neutrality’ and ‘journalistic ethics.’

These revelations, which came to light on the weekend of September 6 and 7—when French news was dominated by the vote of confidence requested by Prime Minister François Bayrou—were made by our friends from the magazine L’Incorrect, which describes itself as “cultural, conservative and corrosive.”

Woe to the British, particularly the British who are actually British and are today being forced by their ruling class to be unwilling cattle subject to the unrestrained exploitation, looting, and raping of the Third World barbarians their betters imported. There’s a lot of raping going on, and the real problem seems to be that normal British people don’t want their daughters raped. But their rulers do; it’s reasonable to assume that you want the foreseeable consequences of your actions. Recently, when one girl pulled a knife on some scumbag who was trying to molest her, someone got arrested. You’re not going to be surprised to find that it was the girl who was defending herself and her sister.

Britain is now a classic anarcho-tyranny, where the catspaws of the ruling class are free to pillage and abuse while the full weight of the once legitimate government comes down on those who would protest or resist.

What if I told you a man who identifies as a “transgender woman” threatened to victimize girls in girls’ bathrooms, shoot up schools, and bomb churches? Would that make you more likely to support efforts to investigate whether some people who identify as transgender pose a terrorist threat?

Most Americans haven’t heard the name of Jason Lee Willie, a man who identifies as female and goes by the name Alexia, but his case highlights the unnerving possibility that many people who identify as transgender may pose a violent threat to their fellow Americans.

Americans are more familiar with the man identifying as a woman who killed two and injured 17 at a Minneapolis Catholic school last month before taking his own life. They also know about the woman identifying as a man who killed three children and three adults at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, in March 2023.

The list of shooters and offenders who identify as transgender has been growing in recent years, which raises uncomfortable questions about potential ties between gender ideology or experimental gender drugs and violence.

Does the rhetoric of the transgender movement encourage hatred against Christians and conservatives? Do the interventions euphemistically termed “gender-affirming care” make people more unstable?
