On Tuesday night, MSNBC’s Jen Psaki sounded the alarm on The Briefing to warn against the Trump administration’s desire to “dismantle” the Department of Education. Despite fear mongering talking points, Psaki failed to generate any concrete opposition for the cuts and instead claimed essential programs would collapse.
Because, as we all know, education is TOTALLY the responsibility of the Federal government–and the Federal taxpayer–and if the government didn’t shell out for education, NO EDUCATION WOULD HAPPEN.

Idiocracy-a-like Democrat Jasmine Crockett argued during a hearing that USAID, the slush fund decimated by DOGE, is desperately needed in order to fund US propaganda in places like Iraq to ensure Islamists there don’t become radicalised against America.
Democrats are deeply committed to the notion that all spending must be government spending so that it is subject to political control, especially political control by Democrats, since it is by passing out Free Stuff that Democrats cement their status, power, and billets in the Ruling Class.

Ten Republican U.S. senators wrote a letter to President Donald Trump’s administration on Wednesday urging it to reverse its decision to withhold $6.8 billion in congressionally approved federal funding for K-12 schools.
One of the primary ways politicians (Democrat and Republican) get re-elected is by touting all of the “Federal money” they’ve managed to squeeze out wetting their beaks from the profits of rhe IRS protection racket. (Apparently voters are too stupid to figure out that the money came out of their pockets in the first place.)
The 10 Republicans who signed the letter included Sens. Shelley Moore Capito, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Mitch McConnell.
RINOs and inhabitants of the Swamp figure prominently, as one might expect.

It takes a lot of confidence for NPR CEO Katherine Maher to testify in front of Congress and claim with a straight face that her “trustworthy” taxpayer-subsidized outlet “serves all Americans” in a “non-partisan fashion.” That’s a funny way to describe cheering on the Chinese Communist Party and justify looting and terrorism on behalf of left-wing radicals. And who, exactly, is NPR serving when they broadcast mothers murdering their pre-born children? I recap just a few of their worst moments in the video here.

“ICE is trash,” announced the handwritten note, placed atop a pile of garbage, dumped on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer’s front lawn. Another vulgar note threatened the officer by name.
Such personal intimidation of law enforcement officers is part of an escalating trend of violence, as the left-wing agitators that pitched Black Lives Matter riots five summers ago now direct their inappropriate ire against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency tasked with enforcing federal immigration law.
After failing to deter ICE law enforcement efforts through mass rioting in Los Angeles, lawless radicals have adopted tactics that might be called more “sophisticated,” although they remain just as sinister.
“Criminals have posted fliers in officers’ neighborhoods, that includes their name, address, pictures of them and their families,” warned the Department of Homeland Security. “These fliers threaten officers with text that says, ‘NO PEACE FOR ICE’ and ‘CHINGA LA MIGRA’ (translation: F— immigration services).”
In addition, “multiple organizations” have published the personal information of ICE officers on “anarchist and Antifa-affiliated” websites, DHS added.
As a result of these doxing campaigns, as well as street agitation, violence against ICE officers has increased 830% between Jan. 21 and July 14 of this year, compared to the same period in 2024, DHS announced in a Tuesday statement obtained by The Washington Stand.

A 17-year-old girl is in critical condition after being set on fire in an occupied building in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria early Wednesday morning. The alleged attacker, a 20-year-old Moroccan national named Abarrafia, had arrived in Spain by boat in June and was subject to an expulsion order. He had escaped from an immigration centre and was living in the squat with the victim.
The girl, who had run away from a youth care facility, suffered burns to 95% of her body. Before losing consciousness, she told witnesses: “It was him.” She will be transferred to a specialist burns unit in Seville.
Police arrested the suspect shortly after the incident. He remains hospitalised for smoke inhalation. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the attack, which occurred during a dispute around 4 a.m. The Canary Islands’ child protection agency confirmed the victim had recently been reported missing. Investigators are also considering the involvement of a second person.

Like the Balkans, Minnesota produces more news than can be consumed locally. One of our state’s recent scandals is the arrest for burglary of State Senator Nicole Mitchell. Mitchell was caught red-handed, burglarizing her stepmother’s house at 4:30 in the morning. The crime occurred during the 2024 legislative session, and the Democrats had a 34-33 majority in the Senate and thus needed her vote. The Senate voted on whether she would be able to vote for the remainder of the session, and Mitchell cast the deciding vote in her own favor.
When the 2024 session was over, Minnesota Democrats, including Tim Walz and now-DNC Chairman Ken Martin, belatedly demanded that Mitchell resign. But she hung tough. Her case was scheduled for trial, but the trial was continued so that she could participate in the 2025 session. Which she did, again representing the decisive vote in a chamber that was divided 44-43. Once the session began, not a single Democrat suggested that she ought to resign. Not a single reporter asked any Democrat why he had changed his tune.
This is the kind of soft corruption that permeates Minnesota politics.

This time, Sigma Dos, which conducted its poll for Spanish newspaper El Mundo, found that 70 percent of Spaniards support the deportations of illegal immigrants from Spain. The pollsters referenced the “flagship” Vox party proposal which called for mass deportation of all illegal immigrants, with the pollsters asking respondents whether they would support such a proposal.
For voters of the conservative PP party, 92 percent supported the proposal, which shockingly, is even higher than amongst Vox supporters, who support the proposal at a rate of 89 percent.
Even among Socialist party (PSOE) supporters, 57 percent said they backed mass deportations.

To the liberal media, everything was Trump’s fault. That’s exactly what CNN News Central executed on Wednesday when the Mendoza family was covered in a segment for moving to Mexico because President Trump was in office. This was the family’s way to fulfill a “self-deportation,” and Trump was the one to blame on CNN, rather than the father who came in illegally.
Julio Mendoza was an illegal immigrant from Mexico since he was 11, while his wife, Sasha, and kids were U.S. citizens residing in Pittsburgh. The Mendoza’s decided after seeing the news coverage of Kilmer Abrego Garcia, who’s an illegal immigrant arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, that they should move to Mexico. CNN took this story and ran with it.

There is gruesome evidence emerging of mass atrocities in the southern Syrian province of Suwayda, where government soldiers under the Sharaa/Jolani regime have been conducing sectarian attacks on Druze and Christians, while seeking to get the etho-religions Druze community to lay down their weapons.
New disturbing images emerging Wednesday show dozens of dead civilians strewn about the floor at the National Hospital of Suwayda. The images seem authentic and verified, as Syria expert Joshua Landis of the University of Oklahoma has described that a regime soldier in the aftermath filmed the results of the massacre while proclaiming “God is Great” and that there has been ‘victory’ over the Druze there.

Washington, D.C. District Court Judge James Boasberg expressed concern that the Trump administration would not obey federal court rulings, revealing a predetermined judicial bias against the White House, the Federalist reported Wednesday.
In an exclusive memo obtained by the outlet, during a Judicial Conference in March, Boasberg told Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts that he and some of his fellow judges felt “the Administration would disregard rulings of federal courts leading to a constitutional crisis.” The presumption by Boasberg disregards the presumption of “regularity,” the outlet noted, a presumption that “requires a court to presume public officials properly discharged their official duties.”
“Chief Justice Roberts expressed hope that would not happen and in turn no constitutional crisis would materialize,” the memo continued adding that Justice Roberts noted “his interactions with the President have been civil and respectful, such as the President thanking him at the state of the union address for administering the oath.”

However, over the past decade, it has morphed into a billion-dollar industry fueled by dark-money-funded, far-left-aligned NGOs—many backed by opaque funding sources, including leftist billionaires and entities based in countries classified as foreign adversaries.
Yet here we are. Far-left NGO networks, some aligned with Marxist ideology, attempted coordinated acts of civil unrest in Los Angeles last month, including arson and insurrectionist behavior.
Simultaneously, operatives tied to far-left color revolution operations, including the Indivisible movement, have targeted Elon Musk and President Trump. In fact, Indivisible has maintained a continuous, nationwide protest pressure campaign against Trump.
Just yesterday, Indivisible foot soldiers were spotted outside Carnegie Mellon’s facilities in Pittsburgh, where the President Trump attended an Energy and Innovation Summit.

My daughter Eliana is editor-in-chief of the Free Beacon.
Abramson’s column reads like a Free Beacon greatest hits collection. It has a lot of them. The hits keep on coming and the column is entertaining. Abramson apparently spoke with Free Beacon reporter Aaron Sibarium, who has written several of the greatest hits, and quotes him in the column.
Abramson is a classic media lefty with self-awareness asymptotically approaching negative territory. The Free Beacon seeks to report on the left and on Democrats like the mainstream press does on Republicans, but, in my opinion, with a higher standard of accuracy and fairness. Searching for analogues, however, the best Abramson can do is David Brock’s reporting on the Clintons in days of old at the American Spectator.

Violent knife attacks in Vienna’s Favoriten district have sparked outrage in Austria, but the interior minister has defended his response.
On June 16th, a man was robbed of his wallet at Reumannplatz. Two perpetrators stabbed the victim with a knife and seriously injured him. Two courageous men who tried to intervene were also injured. Several attackers, aged between 16 and 24 and identified as Syrian nationals, have since been named in connection with the case.
Similar incidents include two separate assaults on June 20th at Keplerplatz and Senefeldergasse, which left three men—aged 19, 26, and 38—wounded. One of the attackers was a 19-year-old Syrian.
At the beginning of June, a 33-year-old Syrian was slightly injured, and another Syrian suffered a stab in the stomach in May.
Despite the district’s established weapons ban zone, in place since March 2024, such violent crime has persisted, prompting growing alarm.

Brussels wants to slap a new tax on big companies—not based on what they earn in profit, but simply on what they take in. A leaked report by the European Commission, obtained by europeanconservative.com, proposes a sweeping reform of how the bloc funds itself. At the centre of the scheme is the so-called Corporate Resource for Europe (CORE), which would force large companies—including foreign ones that operate in the EU—to hand over a chunk of their annual turnover to Brussels, regardless of whether they made a profit or not.
Reminder: Companies do not pay tax. Companies merely collect tax. Tax, for a business, is just another expense–and, like every other expense, is rolled into the price that its customers pay. The people who actually pay the tax are those customers, who get to feel all warm a fuzzy about how the government is ‘sticking it to the man’. (Call it a tax on stupidity.)
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.
Stand by for articles describing, in shocked tones, how foreign companies operating in the EU are no longer operating in the EU because they can’t make any money. (In the U.S. we call that ‘Californication’.)

Among all the painfully leftist governments in Europe the leadership of Spain is often cited as the worst. In 2023, Ipsos published a report conducted in collaboration with King’s College London and The Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, indicating that Spain is the European country with the highest level of “self-identified feminists” and a strong “awareness of gender inequality”. In other words, the country is doomed to suffocate from the stupidity of far-left politics.
This includes dangerous progressive immigration policies, with Spain being overrun by third-world migrants in the past several years. The majority of migrants are Muslim, come from North Africa and enter illegally from Morocco.
The problem has been compared to an engineered foreign invasion with leftist/globalist leaders pulling the strings in the name of “multiculturalism”. If the goal is to create a Utopian society where everyone gets along and respects every other culture equally, then the project has failed miserably and should be abandoned. If, however, the goal is to destroy western civilization through demographic sabotage, then the project is enjoying wild success (and should still be abandoned).

Europe’s free university model is often seen as a triumph of modern society. With no crushing tuition bills, minimal student debt, and a promise of equal access, it sounds ideal. In countries like Germany and France, students pay only a small administrative fee, typically between $200 and $500 a year, compared to the staggering tuition costs in the US or UK. Many also receive financial aid in the form of grants that don’t need to be repaid, or low-interest loans based on need.
But behind the promises of fairness and opportunity lies a system that too often feels rigid, overcrowded, and uninspiring.
For all its accessibility, the reality of navigating these institutions can leave students feeling like just another number in a giant, bureaucratic machine.
When education is available to everyone, universities become packed. Lecture halls overflow, and personal contact with professors becomes rare. In many European countries, it is normal to attend classes with hundreds of other students. There is little space for discussion, feedback, or even questions.
Supply is limited, demand is infinite. Elementary economics. (Just like health care!)

The shock from New York City’s recent mayoral primary wasn’t just political; it was palpable within the luxury real estate world. Within hours of Zohran Mamdani’s win, some Manhattan buyers were already shifting gears, reaching out to brokers in Florida to explore their options. “The night that the primary election results started coming in, I received four different text messages from N.Y.C. clients as well as a call and an email,” Danny Hertzberg of The Jills Zeder Group in Miami tells Robb Report. “The response was immediate.”
The threat of a communist Mayor will do that.
Mamdani, a 33-year-old democratic socialist, won on a platform that includes building 200,000 affordable homes, freezing rents on stabilized units, imposing a 2 percent millionaire’s tax, and doubling the minimum wage. His proposals have energized progressives but raised concerns among parts of the real estate and investment sectors. While some investors and real estate professionals are trepidatious, supporters argue that his policies aim to address long-standing affordability challenges in New York City by increasing access to housing and strengthening tenant protections.
According to Hertzberg, the reaction hasn’t just been noise. One client who had been under contract for a property in New York pulled out the day after the election and is now house-hunting in Miami, looking to move capital into what he sees as a more business-friendly and growth-oriented market.
There will be a lot of real estate bargains for rich communists if Mamdani gets elected.

The writing is on the wall — bold and in large font — for private landowners and homeowners in areas governed by socialist-aligned officials who have zero respect for private property. They’re coming for your land.
Remember Marxist-aligned New York City Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, who called for the government to “seize” luxury condos to house the homeless during the coronavirus pandemic. These far-left officials have made their Marxist intentions clear, and they can no longer be ignored.
Shift to the West Coast, homeowners in the fire-ravaged Palisades, part of the Los Angeles area governed by Marxist-aligned Mayor Karen Bass, have been left homeless and with more questions than answers.
Instead of calling them ‘conspiracy theories’ we ought to call them ‘spoiler alerts’.
Democrat playbook: Encourage fires in places where rich people live though incompetent management, wait until the rich people give up on getting government permission to rebuind, then buy up the property at fire-sale (yuk yuk) prices, and build crappy government housing there to afflict the rich people with the same crime and homelessness problems that Democrats create everywhere.
Rinse, repeat.

The funding comes in at least three ways: directly through contracts and grants, indirectly through unions taking federal employees’ dues and sending a portion to activist groups, and then obliquely, through taxpayer-funded union time.

Congo Braces for HIV Surge After U.S. Funding Stops.
Just so we are clear on which Congo, the article is about the Democratic Republic, the former Belgian colony, rather than the neighboring Republic of the Congo, a far more functional, former French colony.
The WSJ reports about the expected HIV surge,
For years, Congolese women relied on U.S.-supplied antiretrovirals such as post-exposure prophylaxis kits, to prevent infection after an assault. But the funds for those programs dried up after President Trump and his then-right-hand man, Elon Musk, cut funding for most of America’s foreign-assistance programs, including many anti-HIV initiatives.
So, it’s all Trump/Musk/America’s fault. There are some 200 other nations on Earth, give or take, besides the USA and the DR Congo. But not a single one, or any private-sector entity (<cough> Bill Gates <cough>), is able to step up and solve this problem. Only U.S. taxpayer dollars can do the work.
As we all know, no problem in the world is ever solved except at the expense of the U.S. government–and the U.S. taxpayer.

The German Federal Ministry for Education and Families, run by centre-right CDU Minister Karin Prien, is facing mounting criticism after revelations that it has funneled nearly €11 million this year to the controversial DeZIM Institute—an organisation deeply embedded in Germany’s far-left activist scene.
DeZIM claims to combat racism and right-wing extremism—but its activities and partnerships reveal strong ties to radical left-wing activism. Almost all work done by the institute’s “researchers” is based on the belief that Germans live in a structurally racist society, according to media outlet Nius.de.
DeZIM’s leader, Naika Foroutan, described communism as a “utopia that is worth pursuing further.” She has lectured the Germans, saying that this country “per se belongs to no one.”
