Cory Bowman, the half-brother of Vice President J.D. Vance and also running for mayor of Cincinnati, ignited outrage on X after exposing a disturbing social media post by Cincinnati Council Member Victoria Parks, who said the Whites “begged for that beat down” in downtown Cincinnati last weekend. This comes on the heels of Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge’s absurd attempt to downplay the Black mob assault, raising very serious concerns about the city’s woke leadership.
“They begged for that beat down! I am grateful for the whole story,” Parks wrote on what appears to be a Facebook post. Bowman took a screenshot of the post and reposted it on X.

New video shared on social media shows Hamas looting an aid truck in Gaza, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
“Footage from just 4 days ago shows Hamas terrorists looting an aid truck, this is the same organization spreading false claims about a deliberate starvation campaign in Gaza. Make it make sense,” the IDF wrote above the black-and-white 18-second video clip.

Public anger is intensifying over the level of benefits being provided to asylum seekers in Britain, after new footage and council data revealed a two-tier system favouring migrants over taxpayers.
A viral video filmed at a hotel in West Sussex shows migrants living in comfort, with access to buffet-style breakfasts, four-poster beds, PlayStations, jewellery, and even music lessons.
One room appears to contain evidence of alcohol and drug consumption.

A Syrian migrant has reportedly bitten off part of an Israeli tourist’s ear in Athens, shouting ‘Free Palestine.’
The alleged victim of the attack, Stav Ben Shoshan, was with his wife at a local beach when assaulted by a group of Syrian migrants. He lost part of his ear to a man shouting “I am Hamas!” who overheard the couple talking to two elderly Israelis in Hebrew.
A representative of Israel’s foreign ministry told journalists that the “attacker is under arrest. We are in contact with him and with the authorities.”
Migrants shouting “To hell with Israel” fit in with a pattern of antisemitic violence seen in Europe this summer. Earlier in July, a group of Israeli teenagers were attacked outside a nightclub in Rhodes, Cyprus.

The suspicion that many analysts and British citizens have harboured for months has now been confirmed: the Online Safety Act, introduced as a pioneering piece of legislation to protect minors from harmful content on the internet, in reality serves a much more anti-democratic purpose. Labour MP Barry Gardiner acknowledged on Monday, July 28th, in an interview with GB News that the law also aims to identify and restrict content deemed “harmful,” including expressions of “sentiments contrary to immigration.”
This admission marks a turning point in the debate over freedom of expression in the United Kingdom. Until now, the Labour government had avoided explicitly confirming that the law had an ideological and repressive component, hiding behind the rhetoric of child safety. But Gardiner’s statements have removed any ambiguity.

A Syrian man, identified as Wassim Al?M., has been formally charged with attempted murder, dangerous bodily harm, and attempted membership in a foreign terrorist organisation over a stabbing attack that severely injured a Spanish tourist at Berlin’s Holocaust Memorial in February.
The victim, a 30-year-old man from the Basque Country of northern Spain, sustained life-threatening neck injuries.
Prosecutors allege Wassim carried out the stabbing at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe with the explicit aim of killing Jews, motivated by extremist Islamist and antisemitic views.
The suspect “shares the ideology of the foreign terrorist organisation Islamic State,” federal prosecutors said in a statement.

A vast network of anti-Israel groups has found “alternative fiscal sponsorships” after a main backer, the Westchester People’s Action Coalition (WESPAC), was exposed in a number of lawsuits as the financial powerhouse underwriting the nationwide campus protest movement, a new watchdog report shows.
WESPAC, a nonprofit headquartered in the affluent New York suburb White Plains, served until recently as the official “fiscal sponsor” for many of the organizations orchestrating violent and often anti-Semitic demonstrations on college campuses across the country. With WESPAC now embroiled in nationwide lawsuits, its partner organizations have been forced to find new benefactors and alternate fundraising channels.
WESPAC’s financial relationships with numerous pro-terror groups allowed it to accept tax-deductible donations on behalf of many organizations “directly responsible for targeting Jews with antisemitic rhetoric and creating a hostile environment across the United States,” according to a new report by NGO Monitor, which tracks anti-Israel funding networks. Those organizations include National Students for Justice in Palestine, Within Our Lifetime, the Palestinian Youth Movement, the U.S. Palestinian Community Network (USPCN), International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network, the Palestinian Feminist Collective, and Adalah-NY.

This week, major news outlets like ABC and MSNBC have been up in arms over a recent instance of a model doing her job, which was of course, modeling. Calls of “white supremacist dog whistles” and “Nazi propaganda” were the topics of legacy media over a recent American Eagle ad involving actress Sydney Sweeney and her “great jeans genes” play on words.
MSNBC producer/opinion writer Hannah Holland wrote an opinion piece on the “issue” on Monday. Holland, who found herself seemingly suffering from some severe apophenia, had written articles such as “The world of ‘The Hunger Games’ feels disturbingly familiar in Trump’s America,” and “The message behind Melania Trump’s hat.”
The latter claimed that because Melania wore a dark blue hat compared to a light blue hat at Trump’s first inauguration, she was showing undertones that “the next four years are going to be as dire as they seem.”
Holland viewed the American Eagle shift from woke, obese models as an offensive attack of non-inclusivity that promoted “Nazi propaganda.” She even went as far as to say Sweeney’s willingness to participate in the ad was “obviously damaging — and, depending on who you ask, even dangerous.”

In a recent op-ed, radio host Jason Rantz argues that Seattle Democrats outraged by President Donald Trump’s new homelessness executive order are ignoring their own responsibility for the crisis.
Trump’s order, “Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets,” dismantles “Housing First” and “Harm Reduction” strategies, which Rantz calls failed progressive experiments that worsened addiction, street crime, and homelessness. He says local leaders in cities like Seattle and Spokane are “predictably outraged” because the policy is “a direct rebuke to the failed progressive experiments that have crippled Seattle, Spokane, and other left-wing cities.”
Rantz writes that Washington Governor Bob Ferguson called the order “misguided and harmful,” while Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell said it was impractical. Rantz counters that their criticisms are hypocritical, as these leaders presided over a surge in encampments, crime, and drug use.

Jasmine Crockett, the trash-talking Democratic congresswoman from Texas, has become a genuine celebrity among the handful of troubled souls who still watch MSNBC and think Stephen Colbert is actually funny. They love her because she’s loud and obnoxious, but rather than disrupting their peaceful Sunday brunch with the girls, Crockett is disrupting a Democratic establishment that is too polite and insufficiently committed to the anti-Trump resistance. She talks like a deranged MSNBC fan—minus the affected “sassy black woman” accent—venting their outrage in a “Liberal Lushes” group chat.
Crockett, 44, has no real accomplishments to speak of, apart from some meaningless awards (and a diploma from an esteemed private high school in St. Louis). She was named “advocate of the year” at the 2025 Webby Awards for using her online platform to amplify her “commitment to social justice.” (She went viral after calling her Republican colleague, Nancy Mace, a “child” during a civil rights hearing.) Crockett is also the star of numerous YouTube videos with “CLAPS BACK” in the title, so there’s that. Whether she’s denouncing Hispanic Trump voters for having a “slave mentality,” or deriding the “white tears” of her critics, Crockett knows how to get attention.
It was only a matter of time before the mainstream media offered to help Crockett burnish her reputation by writing a glowing profile of the potty-mouthed Democrat who fights. On Sunday, the Atlantic published an article that might have accomplished this goal. Alas, even the liberal journalist was repulsed by Crockett’s toxic narcissism. As a sign of how poorly it went, the congresswoman called the Atlantic reporter, Elaine Godfrey, days before the story came out to complain that the journalist had been contacting her colleagues in the House “without telling her first,” and proclaimed that she was “shutting down the profile and revoking all permissions,” which isn’t a thing.

The rise of socialist New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has highlighted a fundamental truth that I learned as a former Democratic elected official: the Democratic Party never learns.
Sure, Democrats occasionally pay lip service to law and order and economic opportunity. But before I announced two years ago that I was officially renouncing my Democratic ties and becoming the only Republican mayor to lead a top 10 American city, I saw over and over again that when given the choice between effective, common-sense growth-focused governance or the fever dreams of radicals – high taxes, burdensome regulations, and hostility toward law enforcement – the Democratic Party will consistently run to the left and jump off the deep end.
In the end, Democrats are content to make cities unaffordable, unlivable, and untenable for businesses – driving out the very people who make cities vibrant. America’s cities deserve better leadership that is grounded in public safety, fiscal responsibility, and a respect for their taxpayers.

Perhaps the greatest example that good policymaking intentions go awry is the minimum wage. Proponents of increasing the minimum wage argue that doing so will help the poor.
If we could snap our fingers and make the poor suddenly rich, there would be no reason to object. Unfortunately, in a world of scarce resources, this is not a possibility. The minimum wage actually tends to make many poor workers worse off and increases unemployment. A recent study on California minimum wage increases demonstrates that fact (yet again).
Professors Jeffrey Clemens, Jonathan Meer, and Olivia Edwards recently put out a working paper for the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) that demonstrates some adverse effects of minimum wage laws.
The paper covers California’s 2023 law, which enacted a $20 minimum wage for restaurants that had at least 60 locations in the US.

A leaked email has further shown how UK state broadcaster the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has misled audiences on events in Gaza since the October 7th pogrom.
Writing in The Spectator on July 28th, broadcaster Jonathan Sacerdoti details how an internal memo entitled “Covering the food crisis in Gaza,” acts as “a top-down editorial diktat that discards impartiality.” Sent to BBC staff on Friday, July 25th, it opens with the assertion that “the argument over how much aid has crossed into Gaza is irrelevant.” Instead, “we [staff] should say” that the current distribution system “doesn’t work.”
Such criticism is directed at the recently created Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), not the United Nations’ Hamas-riddled UNWRA NGO. The BBC is instructing journalists to blame the GHF for the failure of aid to get through, rather than, say, the involvement of Hamas terrorists in attacking and looting aid shipments. As Sacerdoti argues,
The closer the GHF and Israeli army get to finally defeating the terrorists, the more shrill the BBC’s insistence that the Jewish state is deliberately starving children.
This now includes a memorandum designed to control the narrative by instructing journalists to ignore any evidence to the contrary. The email even declares that it is ‘indisputable’ that Israel is the occupying power in Gaza, despite disengaging from there in 2005. Israel presents its current action as a temporary one to defeat Hamas and its allies, and not an attempt to acquire territory.
Should they wish to watch live television, British citizens are forced to fund the BBC, on pain of a criminal record. As ‘Auntie’ lurches from one antisemitism row to another, the national broadcaster’s credibility is slumping lower and lower.

On Saturday, July 26th, pro-Palestinian activists disrupted Mass at La Madeleine, one of the largest churches in Paris, by bursting in during Mass to chant their slogans.
Five people entered the building while Mass was being celebrated. They shouted “Long live Palestine!” while waving Palestinian keffiyehs. The words “Gaza” and “genocide” rang out in the church, along with the question, “What is the Church doing about this?” They read aloud a text calling for an end to attacks on Palestinian civilians and for respect for international humanitarian law.
Several worshippers, disturbed in their prayers, asked them to leave. Among them were two police officers, who contained the troublemakers and called for reinforcements. The police arrived on the scene and evacuated them. During questioning on the steps of the church, the protesters explained that they had planned similar actions during Sunday morning Masses in other Parisian churches. However, no further attacks were reported.
The priest of La Madeleine, Msgr. Patrick Chauvet, former rector of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, decided to file a complaint. “This is a real blasphemy in the middle of the distribution of the Eucharist. They seemed to be mocking this central moment for Christians,” he told the press, obviously shocked.
The priest tried to engage in discussion with the protesters but was met with a wall of resistance. “I asked them to show some respect for the place and for Holy Communion. For us Christians, this is the most important thing. It is a treasure. They were desecrating that treasure. But the response was chilling: ‘That’s the way it is. The genocide in Gaza is more important,’” he told journalists from Tribune chrétienne. “No, genocide is not more important than the Eucharist,” he replied in his defence.

With the reviews and interviews in for a new book, British newspaper readers are getting an insight into how politics now works. Fascist Yoga, by the arts provocateur Stewart Home, is being trailed heavily as showing how historically what he calls ‘modern postural practice’ was attractive to 20th century fascists. He means actual fascists, not figures on the contemporary centre right.
Home’s serious point—he “wanted to do a headstand. However, after some cursory research, he realised something troubling: so did the Waffen-SS,” according to the struggling Observer news site—is providing the hook for headlines that scream yoga is fascist, secretly fascist, a breeding ground for fascists or ‘merely’ racist in nature.
As europeanconservative.com has pointed out before, the hyperbole reflects a tendency to present anyone to the right of Ursula von der Leyen, or even Keir Starmer, as ‘far right’ or worse. Wild judicial activism has become the norm in the age of Trump, but the latest decision from a federal court on Monday to block Congress’ defunding of Planned Parenthood is the most egregious example yet.
U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani appears to be on a crusade to ensure that Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest provider of abortion, receives funding from taxpayers today, tomorrow, and forever, no matter how the people’s representatives vote.
The Massachusetts judge ruled that Planned Parenthood clinics around the country must continue to be reimbursed by Medicaid even though Congress just voted in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to pull the funding.
What was her justification for blocking an act of Congress?
“Patients are likely to suffer adverse health consequences where care is disrupted or unavailable,” Talwani wrote in her Monday order, according to The Associated Press. “In particular, restricting Members’ ability to provide healthcare services threatens an increase in unintended pregnancies and attendant complications because of reduced access to effective contraceptives, and an increase in undiagnosed and untreated STIs.”
I’m not a lawyer, but that doesn’t sound like a legal argument. It’s a policy argument, like the ones debated and voted on in Congress. You know, that governing body intended to make laws for the United States under the Constitution.

A major strike is looming at Boeing’s St. Louis defense hub after unionized factory workers rejected a contract offer on Sunday. A seven-day “cooling-off” period is now underway, offering a narrow window to revive negotiations. If no deal is reached, the labor action could disrupt critical supply chains for fighter jets and other critical military aircraft, at a time when global conflict is escalating, inventories for weapons are running low, and defense preparedness has been a top priority across Western nations.
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 837, which represents 3,200 Boeing defense workers in Missouri and Illinois and is affiliated with the AFL–CIO/CLC trade union, said its members overwhelmingly voted down a new labor contract with Boeing on Sunday.
“IAM Union members delivered a clear message: the proposal from Boeing Defense fell short of addressing the priorities and sacrifices of the skilled IAM Union workforce,” IAM Local 837 wrote in a statement on its website.

Why did they do it? Because those people were convenient targets, it would seem. Or, perhaps simply because they were the most convenient white targets. It’s hard to say, but one can make an educated guess according to the evidence and common sense.

Federal News Network, a Voice of the You Know Who.
Since the start of the Trump administration, federal workers across the country have experienced mass layoffs as part of a broader effort to shrink the size of the federal workforce and cut spending.
In the last six months, the Trump administration has employed a range of tactics to dismantle portions of the federal government. First, agencies laid off thousands of probationary employees. In February, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) sent an email to more than 2 million civilian employees offering them to voluntarily leave their jobs in exchange for eight months of pay — some federal agencies later offered another chance to voluntarily resign before they finalized their reduction-in-force (RIF) plans. Entire offices and some agencies have been shut down as a result of these workforce cuts.
Amid a wave of changes and constant fear of potential job loss as layoffs loom, many federal workers found themselves struggling with high levels of anxiety, seeking therapy and medication for the first time in their lives, experiencing chronic insomnia, depression, aggressive outbursts, isolation and even self-harming thoughts, Federal News Network found in a new online survey.

Modern feminism is a cope whereby unattractive women can delude themselves into thinking that they matter. All it takes is a truly attractive (and competent) woman (by traditional criteria) to reveal the lie for what it is, which is why they Usual Suspects are having such a meltdown.
In this, Sidney Sweeney has done us all a great service.

A toddler in India bit a venomous cobra so hard that he killed it.
Two-year-old Govinda Kumar was playing in his home in Bankatwa, a village in the eastern Indian state of Bihar, when he spotted the three-foot long snake and grabbed it.
The cobra lunged at the child and coiled itself around his tiny hands during the incident on Friday, his relatives said.
But instead of screaming, Govinda put the snake’s head in its mouth and clenched his jaw, Mateshwari Devi, the boy’s grandmother, recounted.
He quickly lost consciousness after ingesting some of the deadly venom, but was treated in hospital and has since been discharged.
The snake died on the spot.
A future Avenger.

President Trump has told Sir Keir Starmer he must cut taxes and stop small boat crossings if he is to defeat Nigel Farage and win the next election.
The US president said “politics is pretty simple” as he offered Starmer some unsolicited advice during an hour-long press conference at his Turnberry golf course in Scotland on Monday.
He told Starmer that to defeat Farage, he needs to prove he is the “toughest” on immigration and is a “tax cutter”. Trump described those who cross the English Channel on small boats as “bad people”.
Keep the good people, reject the bad people. Obvious common sense advice that Starmer can’t do because it would basically reverse everything Labour had tried to do since 1956.
“How can I get the people to vote for he and the economy to prosper?”
“Stop being a socialist.”
“But I am a socialist.”
“And that’s your problem.”

The abiding image of Charles Darwin is of the naturalist in his later years, bearded and with a face etched by time, sitting in his garden at Down House in Kent. But he was a youthful 22-year-old when he embarked on what would be one of the most consequential expeditions in human history: his five-year journey onboard HMS Beagle, beginning in 1831, which gave rise to the theory of evolution by natural selection.
Two centuries on, a magnificent Dutch three-masted topsail schooner — the Oosterschelde — has docked in the shadow of Tower Bridge after a two-year conservation expedition retracing Darwin’s steps, having stopped at big ports where the Beagle made landfall. But whereas Darwin’s voyage forced humanity to reconsider its past, this project looks to the future.
The Darwin200 initiative was spearheaded by the British naturalist and geographer Stewart McPherson, 43, who sought to harness the naturalist’s legacy to inspire and train a new generation of scientific thinkers.

A large portion of the conversation on the Middle East currently revolves around reports of starvation in Gaza—indeed, this is supposed to be part of the reason France’s Emmanuel Macron is preparing to officially recognise a Palestinian state.
Yet Hamas’ opposition to a humanitarian foundation, which says it has distributed almost 100 million meals in Gaza since late May, appears to have gone largely underreported.
The Wall Street Journal reported late last week that the terror group had the shutting down of this U.S.- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) as the “no. 2 item” on its “list of demands in ceasefire negotiations on Thursday.” The paper also quoted an American official who said the GHF has “caused Hamas more fear than anything else has in the past two years.”
Human rights lawyer Arsen Ostrovsky explained that this was because the foundation “works.”
Hamas wants all aid to flow through them, so as to support their iron grip on ‘Palestinians’.
