Germany’s Deportation Plan for Afghan Criminals Slammed by UN

The UN on Friday, July 4, criticised a plan by Germany to deport criminals to Afghanistan, a day after the interior minister said he would seek direct contact with the Taliban over the issue.

Germany stopped deportations following the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, but the rise of nationalist and anti-illegal migration politicians has seen the topic rise up the agenda.

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said on Thursday he envisaged Germany “making agreements directly with Afghanistan to enable deportations.”

But Ravina Shamdasani, spokeswoman for the United Nations’ human rights office (OHCHR), told reporters in Geneva it was “not appropriate to return people to Afghanistan.”

Why not?

MP Zarah Sultana has quit Labour, aiming to start a new political party alongside her former leader Jeremy Corbyn. The very online Member for Coventry South made the announcement on her X, formerly Twitter, account on Thursday, July 3rd.

The exit came close to the first anniversary of the Starmer government gaining a parliamentary majority on a low electoral turnout and, according to Sultana, after she spent 14 years in Labour—some of it sitting as an independent, due to her previously breaking ranks with the Westminster party line.

Sultana claims that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and shouted “we are all Palestine Action” amid parliamentary moves to proscribe the group.

The YouTube vlogger Sargon of Akkad calls her an ‘Islamo-communist’.

EU-Backed Report Labels Pro-Family Christians as ‘Extremists’

Last week, on June 26th, the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (EPF) launched The Next Wave, a “report” that purports to expose the rise of so-called “anti-gender” and “anti-feminist” religious actors in Europe, whose goal is to “dismantle decades of hard-won sexual and reproductive rights across Europe.”

Cloaked in the language of human rights, the document is, in truth, a politically charged dossier; reading more like a counter-terrorist threat assessment, and explicitly paints religious advocacy groups as part of an organized extremist threat that needs to be stopped at all costs.

“A new alliance of religious extremists, far-right populists, and oligarchic funders” is trying to “launder religious extremism into mainstream governance through media, NGOs, political parties, and public institutions,” the authors claim, blind to the irony that EPF itself is bankrolled by powerful lobby groups and is embedded in EU institutions that turn its activism into legislation.

England Without the English: London School Has Zero Native Speakers

Ultimate diversity has finally been achieved. London is now home to a school where not one of the pupils’ first languages is English. Welcome to Kobi Nazrul Primary School—named after the national poet of Bangladesh, but which curiously you find situated in London’s East End, just a stone’s throw from the East London Mosque (one of Europe’s largest), which comfortably accommodates 7,000 Muslims.

Anyone familiar with the English Monopoly board might be shocked to learn that, according to the 2021 Census, Whitechapel (the school’s locale) is home to a 51.3% Asian population. Of the school’s 243 pupils, 92.5% are Bangladeshi who speak Bengali as their first language. Ofsted apparently gave the school a ‘glowing’ report, coupled with a ‘good’ rating. But then, at least the school wasn’t ‘too white’—something to which Ofsted has previously objected.

The influx of Islam set against the backdrop of cockney London is striking. The Victorian terraced houses still stand, but the pie and mash shops and pubs frequented by the Kray twins are long gone. In their stead, Palestinian flags adorn the windows; ‘no ball games’ is written in both English and Bengali; and instead of ‘gangster chic’, abayas and thobes now throng the pavements.

Antifa Rioters Charged With Arson and Assault in Portland

The Trump-led DOJ has charged four individuals in connection with the violent anti-ICE riots that broke out in June in Oregon.

Only four? ONLY FOUR? Sorry, but ‘four’ doesn’t make a riot.

The defendants, some allegedly caught on video, spent several weeks targeting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and assaulting federal officers, prosecutors said in a press statement on Tuesday.

One of the individuals, 31?year?old August Dean Gordon, pulled a proximity card reader from its stanchion on the facility’s driveway. He kicked, grabbed and injured five officers during his arrest, the DOJ said.

That same evening, 33?year?old Nadya?Malinowska refused orders to leave the site. Meanwhile, 35?year?old David?Pearl attempted to interfere with officers’ arrest of another rioter.

Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Won’t Stop Aid Distribution After Hamas Puts Bounties on Workers

Hamas has placed bounties on the heads of American and local Gaza Humanitarian Foundation workers. But the Rev. Johnnie Moore, the group’s executive chairman, says, “If all of these threats are intended to shut us down, it’s just not going to work.”

“Terrorists want to cause you to be afraid,” Moore said. “I’m a Christian. The Bible says, ‘God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of sound thinking, of clear thinking,‘” the evangelical leader said, citing the Book of 2 Timothy in the Bible.

Since its launch May 26, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has delivered over 50 million meals to the people of Gaza, continuing to work in the war-torn region even after Hamas attacked a group of Palestinian Gaza Humanitarian Foundation workers in June. Hamas has killed 12 local Gaza Humanitarian Foundation workers and tortured others, according to the humanitarian group.

Imagine how peaceful the world would be if the Religion of Peace didn’t exist.

Germany to Kowtow to the Taliban to Get Rid of Illegal Migrants

After repeatedly refusing to change its immigration policy, the German government, through Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU), announced on Wednesday, July 2nd, its intention to negotiate directly with the Taliban in Afghanistan to facilitate the deportation of migrants, especially criminals.

This decision marks a drastic shift in German migration policy, which for years has insisted on allowing in hundreds of thousands of refugees.. According to Dobrindt, the country’s “integration capacity” has been “exceeded,” and the asylum numbers are unsustainable: in the past two years, Germany registered 600,000 asylum applications and took in 1.2 million Ukrainians.

The announcement comes amid growing domestic pressure. Centrist parties, led by the CSU, have criticized the migration management of previous governments, especially former Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens), who refused to deport even violent Afghan criminals. Baerbock, it should be recalled, traveled to Damascus before leaving office to meet with the new jihadist terrorist government’s head assuring him of Germany needing more Syrian immigrants.

Blue State Blues: 4 Dead, 14 Injured in Chicago Drive-By Shooting

Four people have died from gunshot wounds and 14 others have been hospitalized following a drive-by shooting in Chicago, police said Thursday. At least three were in critical condition.

The shooting happened late Wednesday in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Several media outlets said it happened outside a restaurant and lounge that had hosted an album release party for a rapper.

Someone opened fire into a crowd standing outside, police said, and the vehicle immediately drove away.

Imagine how low the crime rates would be if young black males were prohibited from possessing firearms.

Bill Moyers, the Face of Taxpayer-Funded Propaganda

NPR anchor Scott Simon hailed Moyers as “one of the signature figures, along with Big Bird and Susan Stamberg, who helped build public broadcasting in the United States.” Simon added, “He won the most prestigious awards of our profession, some in bunches—more than 30 Emmys, 11 Peabodys, two Columbia-duPonts, plus many other honors for his PBS documentaries and interviews.”

Moyers was acclaimed by other leftists because he was a die-hard leftist. Objectivity was never observed. He crusaded on the public dime against those villainous conservatives. He won Emmy Awards just like the latest prizes to “60 Minutes”—for hating Donald Trump and laboring to elect Kamala Harris. They award having your “heart in the right place.”

Moyers was the “signature figure” of everything wrong with “public” broadcasting. He savaged conservatives and also lined his own pockets with revenues of his programs being sold on PBS Home Video. He used his PBS fame to sell expensive coffee-table books, just as Ken Burns does today. But the notable quotes were outrageous.

Moyers was a servant of JBJ, who famously said, as he was singing the Civil Rights Act, “Those niggers will vote for us for a hundred years.”

Charlie Hebdo Goes East: Turkey Jails Cartoonists as Mobs Chant ‘Revenge’

A picture in the magazine depicts two winged characters floating above a city under siege. One character says, “Peace be upon you, I’m Muhammad,” while the other replies, “Peace be upon you, I’m Musa” (Moses in Turkish). The cartoon’s fashionable hostility to Israel has not spared it from the threat of Islamist violence.

Announcing that LeMan’s editor-in-chief, the graphic designer, institutional director, and cartoonist were in detention, Turkey’s interior minister, Ali Yerlikaya, condemned the drawing as “shameless,” despite his own formal, constitutional allegiance to a unitary nation-state based on secular democratic principles.

An Islamist mob gathered outside the magazine’s Istanbul offices, and President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an weighed in, calling the illustration a “vile provocation.” LeMan denied its cartoon caricatured Muhammad, posting on X that “the work does not refer to the Prophet Muhammed in any way.” (The widespread popularity of the name Muhammed for males could help to explain the choice, although the figure’s pairing with Musa/Moses brings to mind two Abrahamic prophets, whose depiction is forbidden in Islam.)

Yet another reminder that Islam–like communism–is an oppressive totalitarian ideology with which co-existence is impossible.

Nano-Engineered Thermoelectrics Enable Scalable, Compressor-Free Cooling

Researchers at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland, have developed a new, easily manufacturable solid-state thermoelectric refrigeration technology with nano-engineered materials that is twice as efficient as devices made with commercially available bulk thermoelectric materials. As global demand grows for more energy-efficient, reliable and compact cooling solutions, this advancement offers a scalable alternative to traditional compressor-based refrigeration.

In a paper published in Nature Communications on May 21, 2025, a team of researchers from APL and refrigeration engineers from Samsung Research demonstrated improved heat-pumping efficiency and capacity in refrigeration systems attributable to high-performance nano-engineered thermoelectric materials invented at APL known as controlled hierarchically engineered superlattice structures (CHESS).

The CHESS technology is the result of 10 years of APL research in advanced nano-engineered thermoelectric materials and applications development. Initially developed for national security applications, the material has also been used for noninvasive cooling therapies for prosthetics and won an R&D 100 award in 2023.

Schengen’s Midlife Crisis

Last month marked 40 years of Schengen—what should have been a celebratory anniversary of a virtually borderless Europe. Instead, as a sign of the times, on July 1st, Poland announced the reinstatement of border controls with Germany and Lithuania, following accusations that its western neighbor secretly “dumped” illegal migrants inside Poland.

On 14 June 1985, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands met in the Luxembourg town of Schengen to sign an unprecedented agreement. It would allow the five countries to abolish checks at their internal borders, enabling the free movement of people, goods, and services between them.

Since then, as the European Union expanded, the Schengen area has been extended nine times—most recently at the beginning of this year to include Bulgaria and Romania. Today, it consists of 29 countries and guarantees free movement for 450 million people. The EU, naturally, regards this as a massive success and one of the bloc’s crowning achievements.

The Wilson Tindi files (Unemployed)

Both Scott and I have covered the truly bizarre saga of Wilson Tindi, the Kenyan-born, high-ranking Minnesota state bureaucrat, who also is an illegal immigrant, convicted felon, registered sex offender, and (alleged) serial drunk driver.

Wilson contains multitudes. But still, you can see why he tried (and failed) to change his name.

Alpha News has the update,

Minnesota Department of Education confirms convicted sex offender no longer employed by agency:
MDE said Wilson Tindi, a Kenyan national and convicted sex offender, earned $145,000. His last day was June 27, the same day Alpha News first reached out to the agency.

The Department also claims that he’d only been there since April, having previously worked at the state Pollution Control Agency.

I did more digging myself into Tindi’s story, uncovering the second (alleged) drunk driving arrest and more than $1,200 in unpaid court fines. Perhaps they could garnish his last paycheck?

The story began as an Alpha News exclusive and has stayed that way, with not one legacy media outlet picking up the story, which literally has everything.

If only Tindi, age 42, had done something truly transgressive, truly outrageous, like vote Republican, then his story could be told.

MIT Invents “Bubble Wrap” That Pulls Fresh Water From The Air…Even in the Driest Places in the World

MIT researchers have invented a new water-harvesting device — a high-tech version of “bubble wrap” — that can pull safe drinking water straight from the air, even in extreme environments like Death Valley, the driest desert in North America, according to LiveScience.
In a study published June 11 in Nature Water, the team described how their innovation could help address global water scarcity. “It works wherever you may find water vapor in the air,” the researchers wrote.
The device is built from hydrogel, a material that can absorb large amounts of water, sandwiched between two glass layers resembling a window. At night, the hydrogel draws moisture from the air. During the day, a special coating on the glass keeps it cool, allowing water to condense and drip into a collection system.
The hydrogel is molded into dome shapes — likened to “a sheet of bubble wrap” — that swell when absorbing moisture. These domes increase surface area, helping the material absorb more water.

Railgun Installed on Japanese Warship Seen in New Photos

New pictures have emerged showing work being done on the Japan Self-Defense Forces’ prototype electromagnetic railgun currently installed on the test warship JS Asuka. An at-sea test of the weapon in this configuration is expected to come before the end of the month, if it has not occurred already. Japan’s continued developments in this realm stand in notable contrast to the U.S. Navy’s shelving of its promising pursuit of this category of weapons in the early 2020s after major technical hurdles emerged.

All of the images were taken on June 30. Additional photos of the ship taken recently are also circulating online. Asuka, a 6,200-ton-displacement dedicated testbed with a warship-like design, first emerged with the turreted railgun on its stern flight deck in April.

Attention, all parents and college students worried about the ever-rising cost of college tuition. The Department of Justice has finally—after three decades—started enforcing the federal law that prohibits states from offering in-state tuition to illegal aliens unless they also offer in-state tuition to everyone else—including all citizen students from out of state.

The law it’s enforcing has existed since 1996, when Congress passed the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act.

Buried inside that huge law was Section 505, codified at 8 U.S.C. § 1623, which prohibits state colleges and universities from providing in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens “on the basis of residence within the State” unless the same in-state rates are offered to all citizens of the United States.

Just one year after his landslide election win, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been forced into a humiliating U-turn on welfare reform—exposing not only the weakness of his leadership, but the rise of radical left-wing forces within his own party.

First Step Towards an Artificial Human Genome Now Underway

As if sequencing a full human genome wasn’t tricky enough, scientists are now attempting to reconstruct our species’ genetic material from the ground up.

It’s an ambitious and controversial project called the Synthetic Human Genome (SynHG) project, and work has already begun on a proof-of-concept.

The goal of this crucial first step is to use the human genome blueprint to write the genetic code for a single, enormously long strand of DNA in just one of our chromosomes – making up approximately 2 percent of our total genome.

The entire DNA content will be digitally designed before it is then built in the lab.

According to proponents, this project could kickstart a genetic revolution, profoundly changing our understanding of human DNA and possibly enabling designer cell-based therapies and virus-resistant tissue transplantation.

Off With Her Hair: Intrasexually Competitive Women Advise Other Women to Cut Off More Hair

Abstract
Intrasexual competition between women is often covert, and targets rivals’ appearance. Here we investigate appearance advice as a vector for female intrasexual competition. Across two studies (N = 192, N = 258) women indicated how much hair they would recommend hypothetical clients have cut off in their hypothetical salon. Clients varied in their facial attractiveness (depicted pictorially), the condition of their hair, and how much hair they wished to have cut off. Participants also provided self-report measures of their own mate value and intrasexual competitiveness. In both studies, participants’ intrasexual competitiveness positively predicted how much hair they recommended clients have cut off, especially when the hair was in good condition and the clients reported wanting as little as possible cut off – circumstances wherein cutting off too much hair is most likely to indicate sabotage. Considering data across both collectively, women tended to recommend cutting the most hair off clients they perceived to be as attractive as themselves. These data suggest that just like mating, intrasexual competition may be assortative with respect to mate value. They also demonstrate that competitive motives can impact female-female interactions even in scenarios which feature no prospective mates, and are nominally unrelated to mate guarding or mating competition.

The Curbing of the Administrative State

The Supreme Court delivered an opinion last week that not even the best of the punditry class was prepared to understand. The decision was Trump vs. CASA, and the topic concerned the nationwide injunction against Trump’s management of U.S. immigration policy. As with more than 40 other cases, federal district judges have intervened to stop the president from exercising executive powers.

The opinion could not be plainer: “Universal injunctions likely exceed the equitable authority that Congress has given to federal courts.” That principle applies not only to this case but to the whole panoply of cases that have tethered the ability of the president to manage executive branch operations. The courts have presumed authority over the president that the Constitution plainly does not grant.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett said the following of the unjoined dissent by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson: “[It] is at odds with more than two centuries’ worth of precedent, not to mention the Constitution itself. We observe only this: Justice Jackson decries an Imperial Executive while embracing an imperial Judiciary.”

Maryland Federal Judges All Get Hit With DOJ Lawsuit for Violating the Law

On June 24, the U.S. Department of Justice filed an unprecedented complaint against all 15 of the federal district court judges in Maryland, as well as the clerk of the Maryland district court, for engaging in what Attorney General Pam Bondi calls an “egregious example of unlawful judicial overreach into the Executive Branch’s ability to enforce and administer federal [immigration] law.”

If successful, it may be the first time a judgment against federal judges has been rendered in such a very historic case.

The chief culprit in this innovative lawsuit is Chief Judge George Russell, a Barack Obama appointee who became the chief judge in 2024. He and the other federal judges are accused of violating federal immigration law, the requirements imposed by the Supreme Court before a preliminary injunction can be granted, and the federal law governing the promulgation of the local rules of a federal court.

Before she became the acting president of Columbia University, Claire Shipman argued that the school needed to get an “Arab on our board” and suggested that a Jewish trustee should be removed over her pro-Israel advocacy, according to text messages obtained by the House Committee on Education and Workforce.

“We need to get somebody from the middle east [sic] or who is Arab on our board,” Shipman, then the co-chair of Columbia’s board of trustees, wrote in a message on January 17, 2024. “Quickly I think. Somehow.”

EXCLUSIVE: Convicted Sex Offender From Kenya Avoids Deportation, Lands State Job

A Kenyan national convicted of sexually assaulting a sleeping woman in Minnesota wasn’t deported after his prison sentence — he was promoted.

Wilson Tindi holds a director position at the Minnesota Department of Education, where he audits taxpayer spending and oversees internal accountability.

Court records show Tindi was convicted in 2016 of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct after breaking into a woman’s home and assaulting her in bed where she slept. He pleaded guilty to the sex assault charge in exchange for prosecutors dropping a first-degree burglary charge.

Tindi was sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to register as a predatory offender. His sentence was stayed for five years, but he was also sentenced to 210 days in the workhouse, records show.

However, despite the felony conviction and offender status, Tindi serves as Director of Internal Audit and Advisory Services at MDE, according to public records and his LinkedIn profile.

Ford Foundation Taps Scandal-Plagued Yale Law School Dean as Next President

The left-wing Ford Foundation has a new president: Heather Gerken, the scandal-plagued dean of Yale Law School whose tenure attracted national attention when administrators threatened the professional prospects of a second-year student for his use of the term “trap house” in an email.

Both Yale and the Ford Foundation announced the move in Monday morning emails. Ford Foundation board chair Francisco Cigarroa called Gerken “a thoughtful and innovative leader and a tireless advocate for equity, justice, and values of democracy,” while Yale president Maurie McInnis praised her work “to foster discourse across the political and ideological spectrum.” Neither message mentioned the free speech and anti-Semitism scandals that defined Gerken’s tenure and led Yale to pass her over when it named a new president in the spring of 2024.

Gerken made headlines in 2021 when Yale Law School administrators who reported to her spent weeks threatening a Native American law student for sending a lighthearted email invitation to classmates, asking them to a party at his “trap house” apartment for a Constitution Day celebration. Yale Law School diversity director Yaseen Eldik called the language “triggering” and suggested the student’s decision to serve fried chicken at the party could be “used to undermine arguments that structural and systemic racism has contributed to health disparities in the U.S.,” according to leaked audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon at the time. Eldik also suggested the student’s membership in the conservative Federalist Society could feel “oppressive to certain communities.” The blowback was so intense that Gerken was reportedly in danger of losing her job.

A troupe of climate scientists, social justice theorists, and biological anthropologists has arrived in France, denouncing the U.S. president with the breathless intensity of failed actors who found tenure instead of a stage.

Anticipating federal funding cuts against the backdrop of DOGE, some academics have started looking for new environments more conducive to funding their research. For some, the temptation to present this as a political choice—with themselves in the role of exiles—has been very strong. Melodrama rules the day, as could be seen when the first group of ‘refugees’ rolled up in France.

Aix-Marseille University saw its president, Eric Berton, liken the situation to that of European academics who fled Nazi persecution before and during World War II:

What is at play here today is not unrelated to another dark period of our history.

Most of the eight U.S. researchers in his audience seemed to confirm this analysis, while speaking, on condition of anonymity, to European Union mouthpiece Politico. Few if any of these have signed contracts with French universities, some of whose existing staff fear preferential treatment for the new arrivals.

Berton, like failed former French president François Hollande, wants the creation of an official “scientific refugee” status for Trump’s scientific refuseniks.

AMU claims that, to date, almost 300 researchers from prestigious U.S. universities have applied to join its “Safe Place for Science” programme.

Too Cool for the Climate: Is Wanting A/C Now Far-Right?

The heatwave sweeping across Europe is expected to reach France on Tuesday, July 1st, with temperatures in some regions expected to exceed 40°C (104°F). In Paris, the thermometer has already reached 38°C (100°F), which is particularly high for this time of year. How can we combat the heatwave? Air conditioning, which is struggling to gain ground in France, is becoming a political issue: the Right is calling for it, while leftist greens condemn it.

Faced with the heat, mayors across the country have taken the inevitable decision to close classrooms and sometimes entire schools. In some poorly constructed school buildings, which are not maintained due to a lack of funds, the temperature had already exceeded 30°C (86°F) in the early morning; it is impossible to teach properly in these conditions, especially with young children.

But not everyone is happy with these closures. Élisabeth Borne, former prime minister and now minister of national education, has strongly criticised the mayor of the Tours metropolitan area for closing schools, which she considers excessive and politically motivated. The mayor of Tours, outraged by the attitude of politicians who work in air-conditioned offices in Paris, cordially invited Borne to hold the cabinet meeting in a classroom so she could see the situation for herself.

Outrage as Illegal Channel Crossings to UK Hits Milestone Number Early

As predicted, the total number of migrants known to have illegally crossed the English Channel by ‘small boat’ passed the benchmark figure of 20,000 on Tuesday, July 1st—surpassing the already excessive number reached this time last year.

Provisional figures for the previous day included 880 individuals, with overnight crossings taking the total number over the politically toxic 20K mark, indicating the failure of the Labour government to ‘Smash the Gangs’—just as PM Keir Starmer’s predecessor, hapless Rishi Sunak, failed to ‘Stop the Boats.’

To date, this year’s small boats contingent is equivalent, say, to twice the population of the Leicestershire suburb of Glenfield in the English East Midlands. All arrivals will require housing, typically delivered using hotels, while their asylum claims are processed.

At the time of writing, several other incoming boats were spotted in UK waters which, if successful, will mean that the total number of Channel migrant arrivals for the year will exceed 20,250 before July 2nd.

Continuing government failure to control the situation is likely to continue, even with the possibility of a deal with France in the days ahead.

Failing to Learn the Lessons of History

Plenty of people have commented on New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s proposal to lower food prices by creating city-owned grocery stores, but there is still more to be said about this plan. Mamdani either thinks or believes that voters think that store owners are making huge profit through price gouging, and that recent increases in prices have nothing to do with inflation, tariffs, or other government actions.

Once a government store opens, the public employee unions will quickly organize the workers and demand that the city pay a “living wage,” which will no doubt be defined as sufficient to allow employees to rent an un-rent-controlled apartment. This will more than eat up any savings from not having to earn a profit or pay taxes. Far from saving consumers money, the grocery store will have to charge much more than their competitors to keep afloat.

Except they won’t, because instead of earning a profit the city-owned grocery stores will start out in the red and get only redder over time. The city will start by paying the capital costs of converting some building into a grocery, then agree to cover worker wages and pensions. Soon the whole idea of “covering costs” will be seen as archaic and the city council and state legislature will be told not to look at the revenues when asked to fork over more subsidies.

You only have to look at the transit industry to see how this will play out.

How many Twitter personalities are actually bots? Apparently, a great number. Many, pretending to be human beings, presumptively Americans, are in fact bots created in Iran, China, Russia, or some other likely-hostile country.

The same is true, I think, of mobs. Demonstrators can be turned out for many left-wing causes: today, it’s “Palestine.” Yesterday, it was “No Kings.” The day before, Black Lives Matter. To what extent are these protesters, sometimes violent, the same people? And to what extent are they being paid to protest?

I think they are, in fact, largely the same people. In the summer of 2021, my organization did an anti-Critical Race Theory tour of the state of Minnesota. We had protesters and bomb threats, and at one or two venues arrests were made. So we had armed security at all of those events after the first two. Toward the end of that tour, we did an event in Duluth that drew left-wing protesters, waving signs, chanting, etc. (It was a bit surreal, as the nearly all-white demonstrators accused one of our speakers, a black woman, of being a racist.)
