Old White Boomers by Day, AntiFa by Night: ‘No Kings’ Color Revolution

15th June 2025

Read it.

Our preliminary assessment of the command and control structures supporting the ‘No Kings’ color revolution operation by the Democratic Party has been propped up through dark money networks that continue to finance radical left-wing NGOs engaged in what appears to be a sustained, low-grade color revolution during the day and riots at night. These NGOs, operating with logistical sophistication, have aimed to undermine societal cohesion and erode public trust in the Trump administration.

On Saturday, a coordinated series of demonstrations unfolded across major metropolitan areas, including New York, Denver, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles. The protests—supported by a network of nearly 200 entities, many of which include ideologically aligned and far-left NGOs—appear to follow a highly structured mobilization effort reminiscent of prior failed “Tesla Takedown” operations observed earlier this year.

Democrats Download New Talking Point: Padilla Is “A Very Mild Mannered Man”

15th June 2025

Following California Democrat Senator Alex Padilla’s unhinged meltdown where he aggressively confronted DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Democrats all apparently received a firmware update with a fresh talking point.

Padilla lurched unannounced toward Noem, ranting and raving about mass deportations, before security quickly intervened.

Padilla’s behaviour was so insane that even CNN denounced it, praising the security officials who confronted him and took him down.

Endangered NPR Never Stops Ripping Conservatives

15th June 2025

Read it.

NPR CEO Katherine Maher has repeatedly claimed, in the face of avalanches of evidence, that she has never witnessed any bias at NPR. That’s beyond ridiculous. You can find it, day after day, hour on the hour. This week’s Los Angeles rioting provided plenty of exhibits.

On the June 11 “Morning Edition,” Los Angeles-based co-host A Martinez told listeners, “We want to get a sense of how the community around Los Angeles is feeling about the decision to mobilize the military against civilians.” Notice how there’s no mention here of responding to violence or unrest by “civilians.”

The NPR host turned to Los Angeles Times columnist Gustavo Arellano, and these two Latino journalists engaged in a riotous defense of the protests against immigration enforcement. Arellano began by claiming, “People feel like Trump doesn’t see them as Americans, that he sees us as prisoners, basically.”

Finkelstein vs. Wax: The New York Times Double Standard on Academic Freedom

15th June 2025

Newsbusters.

eftist professor Maura Finkelstein, conservative professor Amy Wax, and the New York Times’ double standard on academic freedom: In the last two years the paper has run four major articles, two on Finkelstein’s controversy and ultimate firing, and two on Wax’s controversy and ultimate suspension.

While these articles contain some nuanced arguments, the headlines and subheads make clear which side the Times is taking — this radical anti-Israel professor deserves academic freedom, while the conservative professor may need to be fired.

The most recent entry was Sarah Viren’s June 8 cover story for the New York Times Magazine, complete with a flattering photo shoot inside: “A Professor Was Fired for Her Politics. Is That the Future of Academia? — Maura Finkelstein is one of many scholars discovering that the traditional protections of academic freedom are no longer holding.” Viren cited a Change.org petition demanding Finkelstein be fired for “dangerous pro-Hamas rhetoric” and “blatant classroom bias against Jewish students,” and the professor’s post “ISRAEL DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND ITS OCCUPATION.”

Sanctuary State Governors Double Down On Illegal Immigration In Tense Capitol Hearing

15th June 2025

Read it.

The conflict surrounding the Trump Administration’s deportation of illegal aliens is driven by a complex web of NGOs and astroturf activist groups, but Democrat politicians continue to play a considerable role in fomenting civil unrest. State leaders were a key element of the BLM riots in 2020, providing a governmental green light for the mobs by exempting them from covid mandates. City officials ensured that rioters and looters were released without charges, cycling them back out onto the streets to wreak havoc day after day. Other Democrat leaders hobbled local law enforcement and prevented them from intervening in the riots.

The pattern seems to be repeating, with Democrats doubling down on their defense of illegal immigration and interfering in ICE operations. The law, once again, is only important to progressives when it works in their favor. When it doesn’t, they ignore it.

This week multiple Democrat governors defended their sanctuary state policies in a hearing on illegal immigration on Capitol Hill. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul testified at the hearing, asserting that the immigration issue was being overblown by the Trump Administration and diminishing concerns over violent migrant crimes.

Tim Walz argued that Trump was using the DHS as his personal “gestapo” and Kathy Hochul called deportations an “assault on American values”.

BBC Arabic Apologises for Claiming Jews Spit on Christians in ‘Holiday Ritual’

15th June 2025

The Telegraph (UK).

The BBC has been forced to apologise following claims by its Arabic service that Jews spit on Christians in a “holiday ritual”.

Claims were made in a video released by the corporation alongside an article titled “Sukkot: Spitting and Assault on Christians and Harassment of Muslims on the Jewish Holiday”.

In the video, released in October 2023, a caption claimed observant Jews celebrated their religious holiday, Sukkot, in Israel by spitting on Christians.

After the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (Camera) complained to the corporation, it was quickly corrected to say: “Some observant Jews consider spitting on Christians a holiday ritual.”

However, it took 19 months for a formal response to be issued.

Could Iran Carry Out Its Threat to Shut Down the Strait Of Hormuz?

15th June 2025

Read it.

The threat of Iran attempting to blockade the highly strategic Strait of Hormuz has re-emerged amid the conflict that has now erupted between it and Israel. Over the years, the Iranians have amassed an arsenal of cruise and ballistic missiles, and kamikaze drones, as well as a slew of maritime capabilities like naval mines, well-suited to the task of shutting down the narrow waterway that links the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. At the same time, there are questions about the extent to which Israeli strikes may have hampered Iran’s ability to follow through on such a threat, or even whether the regime in Tehran would want to take such a drastic step that would have global ramifications.

Beheading the Snake

14th June 2025

Read it.

Friday 13 June may prove to be a turning point in the history of the Middle East, with significant repercussions for global history. For the first time since the Islamists under Ruhollah Khomeini took power in Tehran—from whence they have exported Islamist doctrine, revolution, and terrorism around the world—a Western power, Israel, has attacked the Ayatollahs’ regime on their home turf and shaken it to the core. Israeli fighter-bombers continue to pound strategic sites, targeting Iran’s military and scientific elite with virtual impunity, humiliating the regime and instilling hope in the country’s urban masses, who despise and fear their theocratic masters. At the same time, Israel is completing the process of dismantling Iran’s proxy “ring of fire”—Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthi rebels, and the Assad regime in Syria—that has harassed Israel for decades. The continuing Israeli aerial assault is steadily demolishing Iran’s nuclear weapons project, installation after installation. Over the coming weeks, Israel may well devastate the country’s oil industry, which is the economic mainstay of the regime. Regime change in Tehran is definitely in the air—and the fact that they have significantly reinforced the police and security presence in Iran’s towns and cities is a clear indication that the regime fears for its life.

As long as Islam exists, ‘jihadis’ will be a problem. It’s been that way for 1400 years, and there is no indication that it will change. Whether our Ruling Class will continue prating how ‘peaceful’ Muslims are while ignoring the mass murder, or whether they will wake up and decide to do something about it, is an exercise left for the reader.

Administration Returns to Long-Dormant Immigration Registration Law

14th June 2025

Read it.

‘Dormant’ means ‘Democrats ignored it’.

Federal law enforcement officials are using a long-dormant law to detain immigrants and charge them with willfully failing to register with the government.

Under the Alien Registration Act, passed in 1940 because of fears about immigrants’ loyalty to the United States, almost all noncitizens must register with the government and submit fingerprints, reports Politico on Saturday.

The law has remained on the books since that time, but has remained dormant until President Donald Trump issued orders to enforce the law. As a result, since April, people have been arrested in Louisiana; Arizona; Montana; Alabama; Texas; and Washington, D.C., and charged with willful “failure to register” under the federal registration law.

‘The Road to Tehran Is Open’: Israel Pounds Iranian Gas Fields, Broadening Historic Military Campaign

14th June 2025

Read it.

Israel bombed key Iranian gas fields and oil refineries, which Tehran uses to generate over $50 billion a year—hundreds of millions of which it uses to fund terror groups—in a fresh wave of airstrikes that destroyed more than “150 targets and over 400 separate assets,” according to the Israel Defense Forces and Iranian media.

Israeli warplanes targeted Tehran’s lucrative “oil refineries and energy infrastructure” on Saturday afternoon, signaling that the Jewish state is expanding the scope of its historic military campaign beyond Iran’s nuclear sites and military installations, the New York Times reported, citing Iranian state-controlled media.

Explosions could be heard at the South Pars gas field in Iran’s Bushehr province and at the Asalouieh refinery along the Persian Gulf, according to Iran’s state press, which claimed Israel used “micro aerial vehicles” to target the sites. Areas of South Pars caught fire, leading Iran to dispatch emergency services.

Israel reportedly warned Iran days ago that any strike on civilians, such as those on Friday in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, would prompt the Jewish state to target Tehran’s oil infrastructure. Israel made good on that promise on Saturday, showing that it is willing to expand military operations beyond Tehran’s nuclear sites.

I guess it’s back to herding goats for the mullah.

Seven months after a stinging loss to President Donald Trump, who used podcast appearances and internet virality in his campaign to his advantage, Democrats are still working on a digital strategy to regain political power.

“Speaking With American Men” (SAM) is the name of a new plan formulated by Ilyse Hogue, an abortion activist who thinks Democrats can regain lost ground with young men by pursuing a similar strategy.

A Miscalculation by Iran Led to Israeli Strikes’ Extensive Toll, Officials Say

14th June 2025

The New York Times, the Narative Paper of Record.

Iran’s senior leaders had been planning for more than a week for an Israeli attack should nuclear talks with the United States fail. But they made one enormous miscalculation.

They never expected Israel to strike before another round of talks that had been scheduled for this coming Sunday in Oman, officials close to Iran’s leadership said on Friday. They dismissed reports that an attack was imminent as Israeli propaganda meant to pressure Iran to make concessions on its nuclear program in those talks.

Perhaps because of that complacency, precautions that had been planned were ignored, the officials said.

It’s pretty obvious that Iran had no intention of working toward peace, but rather (a) making nuclear weapons and (b) using those weapons on Israel.

Imagine how peaceful the world would be if the Religion of Peace didn’t exist.

Race-Based Policies Inevitably Produce Inter-Ethnic Animosity

14th June 2025

Read it.

Fembot journalism with Initial Anecdote.

Nevertheless, it has some Inconvenient Truths to relate.

Race-based government policies predictably and inevitably produce inter-ethnic animosity, resentment, friction, and conflict. When laws are based on ethnicity or descent, people develop an unhealthy obsession with skin colour, blood lines, and other ancestry-based features—their own and those of their neighbours. This obsession is alive and well in Canada today. Canada’s race-based laws and privileges have been implemented with the good intention of helping the disadvantaged, but this discrimination based on ancestry nonetheless damages harmony, unity, and friendship within society. Today in Canada, legislators, law enforcement, university admissions and awards departments, and school boards carve the people of this country into ethnic categories, and mete out different privileges to each, supposedly to advance “social justice.”

This divisive and destructive conception of “social justice” is fiercely protected, to the point of silencing alternative views in the public square.

Quotation of the Day

14th June 2025

ZMan:

One of the unique and strange aspects of this age is how our rulers operate from narratives rather than reality. The managers, in their committees and work teams, come up with a scenario that leads to a desired result. It just needs approval by management to set it going. Once a narrative is accepted, the decision makers set it in motion and then they just assume it will work out exactly as expected.

Note that they do not monitor it, assuming that they will have to adjust as reality fails to comport with the narrative. They just assume it will go as expected. In fact, they will often act as if it played out according to the narrative, before events have reached anything resembling a conclusion. It as if once the narrative is accepted, it then displaces actual reality in the shared mindscape.

One of the best examples of this was back in the Obama years when they passed a big spending bill to fix the economy. They passed a trillion-dollar stimulus bill and sold it as something like the Civilian Conservation Corp in the FDR years. The White House prepared marketing material for the foretold “summer of recovery” that they were sure would be the result of the spending bill.

In May they had warehouses full of signs and posters to distribute to publicity stunts around the country to showcase the millions of Americans coming together to restore the country after the Bush years. By June it was clear the summer of recovery was not happening, but they went ahead with the celebrations anyway. The joke at time was that the only people stimulated by the bill were the sign makers.

The funny part about that is it took until July for the White House to realize that reality was something different from their reality. At that point, the summer of recovery stuff celebrations stopped. That is when the other thing you see with these narratives happened, which is the memory hole. After the narrative collapse phase of the story, the whole thing is then erased from their shared mindscape.

Paradise Lost and Regained

14th June 2025

Read it.

The release last fall, after 44 years, of the Beach Boys’ abandoned masterpiece Smile is a milestone of American popular culture. Rolling Stone has called it “the most famous unfinished album in rock & roll history.” But Smile is also something much bigger. It is the pinnacle artistic achievement of a lost civilization, the middle-class, baby-boom, sun-soaked, clean-cut, work-hard-play-hard, bungalow-and-car culture of post-war Southern California. It was a paradise for the common man, one that produced legions of loyal and productive citizens, developed the modern aerospace industry, helped the West win the Cold War, and exported an attractive and fundamentally decent (if often vapid) vision of American life to every corner of the globe.

Before The Sixties screwed everything up.

Let California Collapse—and Let the Rest of America Learn

14th June 2025

The Foundry.

California has long prided itself on being a symbol of progressive governance, a supposed beacon of tolerance, opportunity, and inclusivity. But behind the glittering curtain of Hollywood dreams and Silicon Valley innovation lies a troubling reality—a self-inflicted crisis stemming from policies that defy economic logic and common sense. As California grapples with an unprecedented immigration surge, ballooning homelessness, and mass exodus of residents and businesses, the question arises: Should the federal government intervene?

The answer is unequivocally no. In fact, the federal government—particularly under President Donald Trump—should stand back and allow California to confront the consequences of its own ideological delusions.

Between July 2021 and July 2022, approximately 400,000 residents left California. The state, once a magnet for dreamers, is now hemorrhaging taxpayers and employers. Major corporations such as Tesla, Oracle, and Chevron have relocated to more business-friendly states like Texas and Florida. The exodus is not coincidental—it is a direct reaction to California’s punitive tax structure, suffocating regulations, and increasingly chaotic public order.

Pas d’Islam Pour Moi!

14th June 2025

Read it.

According to a new French survey, a substantial majority of citizens are of the opinion that Islam does not belong in France.

I feel compelled to note that the percentage is much higher than Marine Le Pen’s share of the vote in any presidential election. Not even the combined total of votes received by Éric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen comes close.

So the good citizens of France, despite their opinions on Islam, continue to vote for the same old parties that flood the country with millions of Muslims. Hard left, center-left, center-right — it doesn’t matter; whoever gets their vote, the result is the same: more immigrants and more Islam. More gang-rapes, more murders of priests, nuns, and Jews, more violent crime of every sort. The obliteration of traditional French culture.

What sort of cognitive dissonance is at work here? Or is it just plain stupidity?

And So It Begins: Leftist Monkey Wrenching Is Leading to Civil War

14th June 2025

Read it.

If you thought that the leftist delusions of grandeur had finally hit their peak you are about to be unpleasantly surprised. There are no limits to the insanity that progressives will embrace in their pursuit of power, and they continue to adhere to the fantasy that they are the “good guys” despite the fact that most of the world has been telling them for the past several years that their ideology is repugnant.

The events in Los Angeles are just the beginning and the path this situation will take is relatively predictable. There is a large enough percentage of the US population (around 25% to 30%) that is inexorably rooted in the ideologies of Marxism and multiculturalism. Many of them might not even understand what they’re supporting, but they’ll still do what they’re told by their gatekeepers.

For decades now the progressives have treated America like an experiment in social engineering; the US has been their personal multicultural playground. What has them enraged today is the fact that they are hitting a wall of opposition. They aren’t used to being told “No” and the only way they know how to respond is by lashing out.

Two Former USPS Employees Indicted for Stealing $80 Million in Treasury Checks

14th June 2025

Read it.

Missing your tax return check and living near Philadelphia? We might have an idea of what’s gone wrong…

That’s because two former employees of the U.S. Postal Service in Philadelphia have been indicted for their roles in a scheme involving the theft of over $80 million in U.S. Treasury checks, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

According to federal prosecutors, Tauheed Tucker, 23, and Saahir Irby, 27, both previously employed as mail processing clerks at the USPS Philadelphia Processing and Distribution Center, are accused of stealing thousands of envelopes containing Treasury checks, according to NBC Philadelphia.

‘Tauheed’? ‘Saahir’? I guess we know what ethnic identity they espouse. I always have to laugh at black people adopting Arabic or otherwise Muslim-adjacent names, as if that were more ‘authentically’ African in some sense, given the prominent place Arabs and other Muslims played in the African slave trade. They might with equal logic name themselves after Jefferson Davis or John C. Calhoun.

I guess the Postal Orifice doesn’t do criminal background checks on potential employees. (That would destroy their ‘diversity’.) Scott Adams used to tell the story of why he quit mailing his cartoons to his publisher via the Postal Orifice: People in the local post office would invariably steal them during transit.

The protester was part of a group that for the past few days had demonstrated against Israel right outside Riksdagen, the Swedish parliament, including by glorifying terrorist groups and chanting hate against Jews.

“Completely unprovoked,” Jessica Stegrud posted on X. “Attacked as an elected official, outside my own workplace. … this has to end”

The Government Failed at Fatherhood

13th June 2025

The Foundry.

The government spent decades trying to make fathers unnecessary. The failure of that experiment put society on the long-term path to collapse.

Father’s Day is Sunday. It’s much less popular than Mother’s Day for a sad reason. Fewer fathers are involved in their children’s lives. That’s caused by two main factors, the first being children born to single moms. In 2022, almost 40% of births were to unmarried women, according to the Centers for Disease Control. The second reason is the prevalence of divorce.

Statistically, children raised without a father face a bleak future. Homes led by a single mother are more than four times as likely to live in poverty compared to married couples. Poverty is associated with a host of problems, including lower academic achievement. Children without fathers around are more likely to go to prison. They’re less likely to attend college. Children without dads are more likely to act out and have substance abuse problems. Tragically, teenage girls without a father present are seven times more likely to become pregnant. And thus, the cycle repeats itself.

Major Sugar Substitute Found to Impair Brain Blood Vessel Cell Function, Posing Potential Stroke Risk

13th June 2025

Read it.

Erythritol may impair cellular functions essential to maintaining brain blood vessel health, according to researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder. Findings suggest that erythritol increases oxidative stress, disrupts nitric oxide signaling, raises vasoconstrictive peptide production, and diminishes clot-dissolving capacity in human brain microvascular endothelial cells.

Erythritol has become a fixture in the ingredient lists of protein bars, low-calorie beverages, and diabetic-friendly baked goods. Its appeal lies in its sweetness-to-calorie ratio, roughly 60–80% as sweet as sucrose with a tiny fraction of the energy yield, and its negligible effect on blood glucose. Erythritol is also synthesized endogenously from glucose and fructose via the pentose phosphate pathway, leaving baseline levels subject to both dietary and metabolic influences.

Concerns about erythritol’s safety have escalated following epidemiological studies linking higher plasma concentrations with increased cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events. Positive associations between circulating erythritol and incidence of heart attack and stroke have been observed in U.S. and European cohorts, independent of known cardiometabolic risk factors. A causal mechanism for the link has remained elusive.

France Bans Violent Antifascist Group Backed by Far-Left MP

13th June 2025

Read it.

French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau has decided to dissolve the anti-fascist organisation La Jeune Garde, founded by far-left MP Raphaël Arnault, due to its repeated and explicit calls for political violence.

The threat had been looming for several weeks, and the minister’s decision was made public on Thursday, June 12th, after approval by the Council of Ministers the previous day.

The La Jeune Garde was founded in 2018 in Lyon. It claims to fight the “far right” in public spaces and openly promotes violence. It sees itself as a “tool of popular self-defence against the far right”. In June 2024, eight members of the group were charged with assaulting a 15-year-old on the Paris metro after a pro-Gaza event led by Franco-Palestinian activist Rima Hassan.

GAO: Carrier USS Enterprise Will Be Delayed for Years

13th June 2025

Read it.

The program office has emphasized that USS Ford was a first-in-class hull, with the inherent issues that come with a first-of-a-kind vessel, and that the teething problems with her new technology were being worked out for the follow-on carriers. But in its annual assessment of defense procurement programs, GAO reports that the Navy expects significant additional delays to future hulls in the series.

Continued issues with the weapons elevators aboard second-in-class CVN 79 could put the planned July 2025 delivery date for the vessel at risk, the program office reported. And the delivery date for CVN 80, the third Ford-class, has been pushed back to May 2030 – more than two years later than the Navy expected.

The problem, according to GAO, is in the availability of materials and skilled labor. HII Newport News has “persistent shipyard workforce issues” that the program office is trying to fix by revising schedules and creating incentives for workers, GAO said.

Buy them from Hyundai, which has excellent shipyards.

Police ‘Forced to Deprioritise Phone Thefts and Shoplifting’

13th June 2025

The Times (UK).

A lack of funding will force police to deprioritise crimes such as shoplifting and mobile phone theft and there will be fewer officers patrolling parks and attending schools, ministers have been told.
Rachel Reeves, the chancellor, announced an extra £2.1 billion for policing over the next three years, a real-terms increase of 1.7 per cent each year between 2026 and 2029.
However, the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) said the funding would leave a £1.2 billion shortfall and would not be enough to maintain the workforce, let alone cover the extra costs to meet the government’s priorities of halving violence against women and knife crime and recruiting 13,000 extra neighbourhood police officers.

Israel Launches Operation Rising Lion to Destroy Iran’s Nuclear Program

13th June 2025

Read it.

Israel has launched an attack against Iran, a senior IDF official told The War Zone. The nature and extent of the attack is not yet known.

“The attack has just begun in Iran,” said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss operational details. “We are in an emergency situation all over the country.”

The official confirms earlier reporting by Axios that “the Israeli Air Force conducted a strike in Iran on Thursday, according to two sources with knowledge of the operation. It’s not yet clear what Israel is targeting, but explosions were reported in Tehran.”

“A senior defense official on Friday morning said that there is an increasing possibility that the Iranian high command, including Iran’s military chief and Iran’s senior nuclear scientists, have been killed in the preemptive strike.”

Airstrikes are taking place in Tehran and across Iranian territory, targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. According to Israeli intelligence, Iran has reached the capacity to produce 15 nuclear bombs, including enriched uranium warheads and delivery systems capable of reaching Israel. This, according to Israeli assessment, marks the point of no return, necessitating immediate military action.”

Meet 11 Violent Illegal Alien Criminals Arrested So Far During LA’s ‘Overwhelmingly Peaceful’ Riots

12th June 2025

Read it.

According to Kamala Harris, the Los Angeles riots are “overwhelmingly peaceful” and nothing more than “part of the Trump administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.”

But as one Homeland Security official commented, “These rioters in Los Angeles are fighting to keep rapists, murderers, and other violent criminals loose on Los Angeles streets.”

President Donald Trump and his administration are not listening to Democrats who continue to downplay the violence. The Department of Homeland Security has released the names and photos of the “worst of the worst” illegal alien criminals arrested during the LA riots. All criminal information is from the DHS unless otherwise noted.

The Great Climate Science Swindle Goes On

12th June 2025

Read it.

It will be remembered as the greatest mass delusion in the history of the world – that CO2, the life of plants, was considered for a time to be a deadly poison. –Harvard Emeritus Professor Richard Lindzen

When the story of the great turn-of-the-millennium climate science fraud comes to be written by future historians, the central role of the RCP8.5 ‘business as usual’ model scenario as adopted by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will be obvious to all. This ‘pathway’ has polluted climate model predictions for years with its wild and improbable claims of carbon dioxide emissions and soaring temperatures. A huge number of science papers incorporating the pathway are published by obvious Net Zero activists, and their ‘scientists say’ climate psychosis-inducing fairy tales are sped on their way by blinkered journalists in the mainstream press. The science writer Roger Pielke Jr. notes that RCP8.5 has been “falsified” – most knew it was fake, historians are likely to conclude, but the Net Zero addiction was too strong for it to be given up.

By “falsified”, Dr Pielke explains in a recent Substack article, he means that the pathway’s emissions trajectory is already well out of step with reality. To prove his point he offers up the 2021 evidence contained in Burgess et al. highlighted in the graph below.

Tape, Glass, And Molecules – The Future Of Archival Storage

12th June 2025

The Register.

The function of archival storage is to keep data for the long term – decades and beyond – reliably and affordably. Currently, the main medium for this is LTO tape and it is slow, has a limited life, and not enough capacity considering the implications of ever-increasing image and video resolution and AI-infused data generation. However, there is as yet no viable tape replacement technology at scale, only possibilities, with optical storage more practical and nearer to productization than DNA or other molecular storage.

Illegal Means Illegal: Every Illegal Migrant Is a Criminal

12th June 2025

The Foundry.

The current unrest in Los Angeles and other major U.S. cities should serve as a wake-up call to the American public. When law enforcement finally starts doing its job under the leadership of President Donald Trump and border czar Tom Homan, chaos erupts. But not because of law enforcement. It’s because illegal aliens, who have been emboldened for years, are finally being held accountable.

Let’s be crystal clear. The term “illegal immigrant” is not a slur. It is a legal classification. Entering the United States without following proper legal channels is a crime. It is a willful violation of America’s immigration laws. Every person who crosses our border illegally has committed a federal offense. That makes them criminals by definition.

It doesn’t stop there. Illegal immigration is a gateway crime. It fuels a dangerous pipeline of drug smuggling, human trafficking, child exploitation, and cartel-driven violence. Coyotes, or human smugglers, charge thousands of dollars per migrant, many of whom never make it to their destination alive. The U.S. has no reliable data on how many illegal aliens have been kidnapped, forced into labor or sex trafficking, or used as drug mules by the cartels. But anyone who doubts this is happening is simply refusing to face reality.

And now, those same migrants are walking our streets in broad daylight. The images coming out of Los Angeles and places like Atlanta and Seattle are horrifying. Mobs are looting, fighting police, and openly defying the rule of law. These are not peaceful demonstrators. These are agitators who don’t even understand, let alone respect, the country they are trying to claim as their own. They are here illegally but act like they are entitled to special treatment.

And yet, they are protected by people like Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

France’s Afghan Migration Crisis: Even Left-Wing Official Breaks Ranks

12th June 2025

Read it.

The alarming warnings about mass migration are no longer limited to right-wing circles. A former French prefect responsible for equal opportunities, who comes from the Left, is alarmed by the massive influx of migrants from Afghanistan, which he believes threatens Europe and France in particular.

Didier Leschi is currently head of the French Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII). He proudly declares his past as a communist activist, but this does not prevent him from making a clear assessment of the critical situation of immigration in Europe today.

He believes that the Left has betrayed its original commitment to serving the disadvantaged. He has made many enemies within his own camp by publishing two essays in quick succession that break with the prevailing tone on the issue of immigration: Misère(s) de l’islam de France (The Misery of Islam in France), published in 2017, followed by Ce Grand Dérangement. L’immigration en face (The Great Disruption. Facing Immigration), published in 2020.
