‘Biological Reality’: What Genetics Has Taught Us About Race

21st April 2025

The BBC, a Voice of the Crust.

As US President Donald Trump takes aim at the Smithsonian Institution for “anti-American ideology”, Adam Rutherford examines what the science of genetics has taught us about race.

Genetics has a lot to teach us about ‘race’, but you won’t learn it here.

Adam Rutherford is a lecturer in genetics at Univeristy College London in the UK, BBC Presenter and author of How to Argue with a Racist, which examines the history and science of notions of race. You can read more from him about how to debunk racist myths with science and facts here.

This is just Woke propaganda dressed up as if it were Science. Anything that pretends there are differences between Europeans, Asians, and Africans is WAYCIST and therefore ipso facto false; that’s his story and he’s sticking to it.

Harvard Still Wants Its DC Sugar Daddy

21st April 2025

Read it.

“No government—regardless of which party is in power—should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue.”

This defiant and bipartisan defense of the purity of education, delivered by Harvard President Alan Garber, sounds fantastic, right? After all, what society that pretends to value objectivity would dare to allow a government to control the educational decisions of private institutions?

Barack Obama—blessed is he—agreed, celebrating Harvard as a shining beacon of academic freedom!

The reality is that the government, regardless of which party is in power, has been dictating what private universities can teach, admit, and hire since the Civil Rights Acts of the 1960s, and which ares of study and inquiry they can pursue through the granting or withholding of ‘funding’. Harvard was perfectly comfortable with that while the government’s prescriptions aligned with the proglodytes that increasingly dominated the governance of the university; they’re only whining now because the shoe is on the other foot.

Bad Faith Arguments

21st April 2025

Washington Free Beacon.

When a book’s dust jacket describes its author as an “award-winning investigative reporter” and the author begins by describing his work as “an investigative history of the modern Roman Catholic Church,” readers might expect that, by the end of the book, something strikingly new would have been revealed. But in this case (to borrow from Richard M. Nixon) “That would be wrong.” For Philip Shenon gives the game away two sentences later when he defines “the battle for the soul of the church” in these terms: “It pits Catholics desperate for a more tolerant church—one, that in the words of Pope John [XXIII], dispenses the medicine of mercy instead of severity—against those who see that vision as heresy.”

Right.

How Shenon came to that conclusion—the Platonic form of the New York Times’s view of the Catholic Church—is clarified in the book’s Acknowledgments where, after claiming the Catholic Church is more “secretive” than the Mossad, authorial thanks are rendered to a Who’s Who of the Catholic Left, living and dead. At the end of an extensive list of those who wrote books of papal history (12 of the 14 being firmly on the portside of things Catholic), the author gives a nod to my “deeply researched biographies of John Paul II”—after proffering a trigger warning that “I … fundamentally disagree with the views of the author George Weigel.” And while I’m mildly gratified that Philip Shenon thinks my books “important additions to [his] library,” that seems a low bar to overcome, given some of the fabulists (e.g., Malachi Martin) and progressive spin-doctors (e.g., Austen Ivereigh, the late Richard McBrien, Massimo Faggioli) whose work he evidently found far more agreeable.

The death of Pope Francis earlier today will exacerbate this division between the People Who Want Change and the People Who Don’t Want Change.

Trump Derangement Syndrome: See Only Evil, Hear Only Evil, Speak Only Evil

21st April 2025

Newsbusters.

Disdain for President Donald Trump translates into a refusal to accept reality if doing it gives Trump a political victory. Examples include, but are certainly not limited to, the continuing assertion that Trump, about Charlottesville, said some variation of, “There were good and bad white nationalists and neo-Nazis on both sides”; the denial of the Hunter Biden laptop; that Trump “mocked” a disabled reporter; that Trump said to “drink bleach” to fight COVID; and that the Trump tax cuts “only benefit the rich.

US Housing Market May Finally See Relief as Foreign Buyers, Illegals and Airbnbs Disappear

21st April 2025

Read it.

One of the most detrimental consequences of the stagflationary surge in the US since 2020 was the meteoric rise in housing prices, from rentals to purchases to mortgages, across all markets. At present the cost of housing stands at around 30% of the average American’s income, with home prices and rentals seeing at least a 60% increase in only 5 years. In high traffic markets the prices have jumped far higher.

Inflation in fixed expenses like housing, utilities, gasoline, food, etc. directly reduce disposable income which forces consumers to cut back on retail and recreational purchases. Higher prices in retail goods can be weathered through savings and spending adaptation, higher prices in fixed expenses is much more difficult to deal with and the results are hard to miss.

There may, however, be a light at the end of the tunnel with new developments suggesting a decline in housing costs is on the way.

A Visual Breakdown of Who Owns America’s Wealth

21st April 2025

First error (everyone makes it, so I’m not picking on them): It’s not ‘America’s wealth’. It’s the wealth of the people who own it. This is the blatant indulgence of the Aggregation Fallacy that underlies Democrat politics: If it’s ‘America’s wealth’, then ‘America’ (i.e. the government) gets to determine how it’s ‘distributed’, right? Right?

Wealth Is Wasted on Melinda Gates

21st April 2025

The Free Press.

Picture this: your first marriage, to a billionaire, goes belly-up, and you’re in your 50s, and it’s time for your next act. You have two options. The first is to slap on those fake eyelashes and hitch a ride to space courtesy of your new, even richer fiancé, as Lauren Sánchez did this week. The second is to write a curiously petty memoir. That’s what Melinda French Gates did. The result, The Next Day: Transitions, Change, and Moving Forward, was out this week, and I read it so you don’t have to.

It’s about big life transitions—becoming a mother, dealing with death—but the only reason anyone’s picking up this clunker is to see what she says about being married to and, after 27 years, splitting up with Bill Gates. (Apparently he, as Melinda put it, “betrayed not only our marriage but my values” by which she means he hung out a bunch with Jeffrey Epstein.)

Woven through the chapters, you might find a poem Melinda is fond of, or a piece of encouragement Oprah gave her, or a poem she likes that Oprah told her about. This book screams “divorced” as loud as a new shiny red convertible, but is as un-fun as the footnotes to an alimony agreement. She drags us through her normal childhood in Dallas, and her time as a computer science major at Duke, before she gets to the goods.

“In the decade or so before my marriage fell apart, my inner voice faded. With it, I lost my center, an essential part of myself,” Melinda writes, which sounds vaguely profound (and vaguely profound is the best The Next Day ever gets). To find herself again, she does a healing ceremony in Scotland that she called “incredibly prayerful and moving,” and goes on an “unforgettable” trip to India, and spends time with her girlfriends “creating a place and space to focus on spirituality and mindfulness.” You can almost hear the glass of sauvignon blanc being placed on the patio furniture, and imagine Melinda wrapping herself in an oatmeal cashmere cardigan and looking across Puget Sound, when she writes about “carving out a quiet refuge inside myself.” Who is this book for? Her and MacKenzie Scott?

As is common in the modern world, she initiated the divorce. Now I don’t know why Bill married Melinda, but it seems to me that he could have made a better choice, and I am sure and certain that he is well rid of her.

NYC Woman Who Left Swastika Brick on Cybertruck Is a Woke Therapist Who Blamed Elon Musk for Tantrum

19th April 2025

New York Post.

The Brooklyn woman accused of leaving a brick scrawled with a swastika and the word “Nazi” on a parked Tesla is a super-woke family therapist who was involved in criminal justice diversion programs — and blamed Elon Musk for her heinous actions as she was taken into custody.

Natasha Cohen was released on her own recognizance following her arraignment on hate-crime charges Saturday night, according to prosecutors.

Cohen, 46, has a private practice, working with children, adolescents and their families for more than two decades.

This is what passes for a ‘therapist’ in NYC. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

On Ranked-Choice Voting

19th April 2025

The New Neo.

North Dakota’s governor recently signed a bill prohibiting ranked-choice voting in the state. That started a conversation and disagreement in this open thread on the subject of ranked-choice voting. In red or blue states, ranked-choice voting often pits people from the same party against each other in the final round, and because people from the opposing party have no candidate, they can vote for the candidate the members of the dominant party don’t want. It also causes confusion and delay in getting final results.

I can see where people invested in the current two-party system might object to it. I don’t see that it is incompatible with democracy. It ensures that whoever is elected is the choice of at least 50% of the voting population, which can’t be said of the current first-past-the-post elections. (Look up the last time the winner of the American Presidency got more than 50% of the vote. Go ahead–I’ll wait.) It doesn’t do anything that runoff elections don’t do, and it means less delay that runoff elections. I really don’t see what the problem is.

Heritage Foundation Unveils Classical School Database

19th April 2025

The Heritage Foundation has compiled a searchable Classical Schools Database featuring nearly 900 schools across the United States that say they are “committed to offering a classical liberal arts education to their students.”

I doubt that they teach Classical Greek and Latin, which were the foundation of  the ‘classical liberal arts education’. Pity.

Parents can even choose the religious denomination (choices include Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Jewish, and Orthodox, among others). The database also allows the sorting of schools based on the classical language(s) they teach, including Greek, Latin, Arabic, and Hebrew.

Well, that makes me feel better.

The Strange Case of Abrego Garcia

19th April 2025

Power Line.

Democrats do many things that I don’t understand, but their enthusiastic embrace of El Salvadoran Abrego Garcia, a member of the brutal gang MS-13, is bizarre even for them. No one disputes that Garcia is a citizen of El Salvador. No one disputes that he was in the U.S. illegally. Therefore–it follows–he should be deported to his home country. In 2019, that deportation was temporarily held up by an immigration judge who thought that it would be too dangerous to deport Garcia to El Salvador, because he could be threatened by a rival gang. That is not, to put it politely, a persuasive rationale.

Quotation of the Day

19th April 2025

ZMan:

When getting attention is the singular goal, then everything that would prevent someone from seeking attention, such as responsibility, duty, self-awareness, and self-respect, must give way. There is no dignity in showiness because dignity prevents the carnies from doing what must be done to get a laugh, a sigh, or applause. The theater of democracy, like all theaters, selects for shamelessness.

This is how we get someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez barnstorming the country doing a bourgeois socialist act. She flies in on a private jet, takes a limousine to the event, perhaps stops for a meal at a fine restaurant, then performs her act. Once the show is over, it is back to the private airport and the private plane. Like many actresses, she waited tables before her big break in politics.

The Women Who Think the World Needs More Babies

18th April 2025

The New York Times, a Voice of the Crust.

“We’re going to fix the birthrate decline in this room,” said the dating app entrepreneur Amanda Bradford, facing a hotel conference room filled with men in blazers and slacks, men ready to offer up their wisdom on the mishaps of modern dating. All these apps, all these swipes, all these meet-ups and make-outs and just not enough babies. This room was ready to fix it. Or at least, given the audience demographics, to dutifully do its part.

Apparently, Woke scribbler Emma Goldberg is not among that number. Ashley St Clair is certainly doing her part, with two out-of-wedlock births with separate fathers.

It was late March in Austin and roughly 200 people had flown in for the Natal Conference, an event devoted to discussing collapsing fertility rates. There were churchgoing conservatives and Silicon Valley technologists, parents of five and parents of nine, edgelords in leather jackets and women in Lilly Pulitzer, all sharing a common concern: how to convince Americans, namely American women, to have more babies. At the Friday evening reception, as attendees mingled over wine in the domed entrance of the Bullock Texas State History Museum, a 31-year-old woman remarked with a twinge of concern that there did not appear to be all that many people wearing yellow wristbands, meaning the singles. Another guest said the room seemed heavily male.

Where else would men look for potential wives and mothers? Certainly not amongst the staff of the Narrative Media.

US Gov’t: Katy Perry “Doesn’t Meet FAA Astronaut Criteria”

18th April 2025

Read it.

The latest Blue Origin space mission sparked a wave of conspiracy theories on X this past week. However, one verifiable fact stands out: the all-female crew—some of whom are part of the Hollywood leftist cult—were technically not “astronauts.”

“We just completed our 11th human spaceflight and the 31st flight of the New Shepard program. The astronaut crew included Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguy?n, Gayle King, Katy Perry, Kerianne Flynn, and Lauren Sánchez,” Blue Origin wrote on X earlier last week.

Late Friday night, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy addressed and dismissed the misinformation and disinformation circulated by Blue Origin and leftist MSM, stating:

The U.S. commercial space industry is an inspiring project which showcases American ingenuity and exceptionalism. But the last FAA guidelines under the Commercial Space Astronaut Wings Program were clear: Crewmembers who travel into space must have “demonstrated activities during flight that were essential to public safety, or contributed to human space flight safety.”

The crew who flew to space this week on an automated flight by Blue Origin were brave and glam, but you cannot identify as an astronaut. They do not meet the FAA astronaut criteria.

But I’m sure they’ll claim that as a credential.

Slain Texas Teen’s Home Swatted

18th April 2025

The home of slain Texas track athlete Austin Metcalf was swatted on Thursday night, the same day his father appeared at a press conference for suspect Karmelo Anthony, WFAA reported.

On Thursday, the slain teen’s father, Jeff Metcalf, attended a press conference in Dallas at the Next Generation Action Network, a nonprofit organization working with Anthony’s family in his criminal defense.

Hours later, the Metcalf home was targeted in a swatting call when police were notified of a gunshot reported at the address. “Swatting” is a term used when fake threats are called in to police with the implicit intention of creating an escalating situation with first responders.

Daily Pill May Work as Well as Ozempic for Weight Loss and Blood Sugar

18th April 2025

The New York Times, a Voice of the Crust.

A daily pill may be as effective in lowering blood sugar and aiding weight loss in people with Type 2 diabetes as the popular injectable drugs Mounjaro and Ozempic, according to results of a clinical trial announced by Eli Lilly on Thursday morning.

The drug, orforglipron, is a GLP-1, a class of drugs that have become blockbusters because of their weight-loss effects. But the GLP-1s on the market now are expensive, must be kept refrigerated and must be injected. A pill that produces similar results has the potential to become far more widely used, though it is also expected to be expensive.

Lilly said it would seek approval from the Food and Drug Administration later this year to market orforglipron for obesity and early in 2026 for diabetes. Industry analysts expect the drug to win approval sometime next year and to eventually become a major blockbuster. Eli Lilly is not expected to announce a price for the drug until after it wins approval.

The Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes clinicians use to report services to health insurers have become a linchpin in the American health care system. These codes are federally mandated, and all health care providers must pay royalties to the AMA to use them. That’s a heck of a cash cow for the AMA.

In 2023, the AMA raked in a staggering $495 million in revenue. A full 62 percent, $308 million, came from royalties tied to the use of CPT codes. And every dollar is paid for by taxpayers, via Medicare and Medicaid, or employers and employees in the private health insurance market.

Tulsi Gabbard Exposes Alarming Biden-Era ‘Domestic Terrorism’ Strategy

18th April 2025

Read it.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on April 16 fulfilled her past promise to declassify information related to President Joe Biden’s domestic counterterrorism strategy.

Dubbed the “Strategic Implementation Plan” (SIP), the 15-page-long document details the Biden administration’s findings and action plan to counter an alleged increase in homegrown domestic terrorism.

Gabbard released the documents in response to prompting from conservative groups like America First Legal, which expressed concerns about the Biden administration allegedly “censoring disfavored speech on the Internet by labeling such speech ‘misinformation,’ ‘disinformation,’ ‘hate speech,’ ‘domestic terrorism.’”

Coming in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, after which the Biden administration claimed that domestic terrorism was the greatest terror threat the United States faced, the SIP represents the government-wide counterterrorism strategy.

The Woketopus’ War on DOGE

18th April 2025

Read it.

The far-left groups that staffed and advised the Biden administration—a network that I call the Woketopus—are going to war against DOGE’s efforts to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.

Activist groups like the Center for American Progress and the ACLU are working alongside unions like the AFL-CIO and the American Federation of Teachers to block DOGE through lawsuits or public campaigns.

My book, “The Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government,” exposes how these activist groups—bankrolled through the Left’s dark money network by big donors like Hungarian American billionaire George Soros and his son, Alex—used the administrative state to force their woke agendas on the American people.

The Trump administration is rooting woke ideology out of the federal government, so the Woketopus’ opposition comes as no surprise. Yet the campaign against DOGE seems particularly noteworthy, since DOGE represents an effort to tighten the government’s belt and make it more accountable to the people.

Adipose Tissue Retains an Epigenetic Memory of Obesity After Weight Loss

18th April 2025

Nature.

Bad news.

Reducing body weight to improve metabolic health and related comorbidities is a primary goal in treating obesity1,2. However, maintaining weight loss is a considerable challenge, especially as the body seems to retain an obesogenic memory that defends against body weight changes3,4. Overcoming this barrier for long-term treatment success is difficult because the molecular mechanisms underpinning this phenomenon remain largely unknown. Here, by using single-nucleus RNA sequencing, we show that both human and mouse adipose tissues retain cellular transcriptional changes after appreciable weight loss. Furthermore, we find persistent obesity-induced alterations in the epigenome of mouse adipocytes that negatively affect their function and response to metabolic stimuli. Mice carrying this obesogenic memory show accelerated rebound weight gain, and the epigenetic memory can explain future transcriptional deregulation in adipocytes in response to further high-fat diet feeding. In summary, our findings indicate the existence of an obesogenic memory, largely on the basis of stable epigenetic changes, in mouse adipocytes and probably other cell types. These changes seem to prime cells for pathological responses in an obesogenic environment, contributing to the problematic ‘yo-yo’ effect often seen with dieting. Targeting these changes in the future could improve long-term weight management and health outcomes

Toddler Beaten to Death by Two Boys After Mum Left Kids Home Alone to Visit Casino

Pretty sad when we need to depend on a British tabloid to inform us of what’s going on in the U.S.

A mum has been jailed after her young daughter was beaten to death when she left eight children home alone to go gambling.

Three-year-old Blessing Buckles and seven other children, aged between 11 months and 12 years, were left at a home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on February 12 last year. Mum Dineshia Yates and her friend Terica Scott were visiting a casino, unaware of the violence taking place.

Blessing is said to have been attacked by two boys: Scott’s 10-year-old son and 12-year-old nephew. She suffered a bleed to the brain and tragically died just two days later.

Joe Biden, 82, is still eligible to run for president again in 2028, and hasn’t ruled anything out. The frail geezer shuffled gingerly back into the national spotlight this week, giving the keynote address at a convention of disability rights advocates in Chicago.

It was Biden’s first major speech since leaving office, and it didn’t get off to a great start. He wandered up to the microphone and started talking while his Bruce Springsteen entrance music was still blaring over the loudspeakers. The speech was supposed to be about Social Security. Naturally, the former president opened with a long-winded, inscrutable anecdote about Delaware’s history as a slave state, his father’s career prospects after “coal died” in Pennsylvania, his memory of watching the “colored kids” get bused to school, and how the latter supposedly inspired him to go into politics for the rest of his life. For good measure, Biden blasted “roughly 30 percent” of Americans—the ones who strongly support Donald Trump and his agenda—for having “no heart.”

However, their low expression levels and high sequence similarity to linear RNAs present substantial challenges for circRNA detection and characterization. Recent advances in long-read and single-cell RNA sequencing technologies, coupled with sophisticated deep learning-based algorithms, have revolutionized the investigation of circRNAs at unprecedented resolution and scale. This Review summarizes recent breakthroughs in circRNA discovery, characterization and functional analysis algorithms. We also discuss the challenges associated with integrating large-scale circRNA sequencing data and explore the potential future development of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven algorithms to unlock the full potential of circRNA research in biomedical applications.

American Forces Destroy Key Houthi-Controlled Fuel Port in Yemen

18th April 2025

Read it.

The U.S. military says it has destroyed the Houthi-controlled port of Ras Isa in Yemen to prevent the group from benefiting from the movement of various kinds of fuel through its facilities.

U.S. Central Command issued a statement declaring the “destruction” of Ras Isa (also sometimes written Ras Issa) earlier today, which did not provide details about the scale and scope of the strikes on the port. At the time of writing, American authorities do not appear to have released any imagery from the operation. This looks to be the first time the U.S. military has publicized the destruction of a major facility in Yemen.

Van Hollen’s Office Mum on Cost to Taxpayers for El Salvador Visit

17th April 2025

Read it.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s office is mum about how much the taxpayers had to shell out for his trip to El Salvador — or whether he or someone else paid — in a failed effort to win the release from prison of a former illegal immigrant who resided in his state.

Spokespersons for the Maryland Democrat’s office did not respond to several phone and email inquiries from The Daily Signal on Wednesday and Thursday asking about the cost of the trip and about how many staffers accompanied the senator when he met with El Salvadoran officials to attempt to get Kilmer Abrego Garcia out of prison.

The Trump administration deported Garcia in March to an El Salvadoran prison as part of its effort to round up and deport known illegal alien gang members. The Justice Department had determined Garcia was a member of the MS-13 gang, but there’s a debate over whether the administration made an error in deporting him because an immigration judge granted him asylum to stay in the United States in 2019.

A conservative estimate is that the trip could have cost between $1,525 to $2,216 if Van Hollen took only one staffer, stayed only one night, and booked at least a week in advance. That is based on publicly available information for flight ticket costs and the guidelines for government expenses for meals and lodging.

Regulators of DNA Folding Could Be Targets for Treating Cancer

17th April 2025

Read it.

Most cells in the human body each contain about six feet of DNA. Yet the nucleus, where DNA is coiled, is no larger than a single speck of dust. Despite its density, DNA is not a tangled ball of yarn. It is organized into intricate layers of loops that fold and unfold in response to cues from the cell.

Scientists know that the three-dimensional shape of DNA is important. This long helical thread is peppered with genes that are translated into proteins to drive cellular activity. And the structure of the genome—those layers of loops—determines which genes are active at any given time. How the three-dimensional structure of the genome is maintained, however, is less clear. Structural changes and abnormalities are associated with many diseases, such as cancer and developmental disorders. Identifying what controls genome structure could yield targets for treatment.

In a new study, published April 10 in Nature Methods, Yale scientists uncovered 21 regulators of genome structure, 19 of which are associated with diseases. They developed a combination of advanced methods that set a new standard for accuracy and efficiency.

American Hijacks Plane in Belize, Demanded Fuel & New Flight Path Out of Country

17th April 2025

Read it.

An American citizen identified as Akinyela Sawa Taylor hijacked a Cessna 208 Grand Caravan with 14 souls on board in Belize on Thursday.

Sure–Akinyela Sawa Taylor certainly says ‘American citizen’ to me….

According to police, the crazed American was fatally shot in the chest by a passenger carrying a licensed firearm.

That sounds more like an American citizen. (If he isn’t, he ought to be.)

Meet Xi’s Puppet, Mustachio! Tom Friedman Simps for the Chi-Coms to Get Trump … Again

17th April 2025

Read it.

The New York Times’s mustachioed “China for a Day” propagandist Thomas Friedman is having a nervous breakdown because President Donald Trump isn’t a climate change nut like he is. And true-to-form, he’s simping for the Chi-Coms to get Trump… Again.

“I Have Never Been More Afraid for My Country’s Future,” read Friedman’s grossly embellished April 15 item that was plastered on A22 of his newspaper’s April 17 print edition. After bellyaching over  the allegedly “[s]o much crazy [that] happens with the Trump administration every day,” Friedman then freaked over Trump’s April 8 decision “to sign an executive order to bolster coal mining.”

I guess His Country is Red China. Good to know.

James Carville Says He Might Sue ‘Contemptible Little Twerp’ David [Camera] Hogg for Challenging Incumbent Democrats

17th April 2025

UK Independent.

James Carville railed against Democratic National Committee official David Hogg for funding primary challenges against incumbent Democrats, suggesting Wednesday night that he “might” sue Hogg over the effort while calling the Parkland shooting survivor a “contemptible little twerp.”

Carville’s comments come after he called for progressives to distance themselves from the Democratic Party, calling for a “split” due to what the veteran Democratic strategist called “pronoun politics.”

Hogg, a 25-year-old gun control activist, who was elected the DNC’s vice chair, has sparked an intra-party uproar over his announcement that his political group, Leaders We Deserve, would be spending $20 million to challenge “asleep-at-the-wheel” Democrats in deep-blue districts.

I wish them both the best of luck.

Former FAA Contractor, Naturalized US Citizen, Pleads Guilty to Spying for Iran

17th April 2025

Read it.

A former Federal Aviation Administration contractor pleaded guilty on Wednesday to acting as a secret agent for Iran, supplying Tehran with sensitive U.S. aviation and energy data over a seven-year span.

Abouzar Rahmati, a 42-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen, admitted in federal court to conspiring to act and acting as an agent of the Iranian government while working as an FAA contractor in the United States. The Department of Justice said Rahmati passed non-public data about the U.S. aviation sector and solar energy industry to Iranian intelligence officials from at least December 2017 through June 2024.

Treason, under the Constitution.

Espionage, under the Espionage Act.

Death penalty in any non-suicidal country. I wish we had one….

Lisa Murkowski Says ‘We Are All Afraid’ of Retaliation by Donald Trump

17th April 2025

Huffington Post, a Propaganda Organ of the Wokerati.

Who is this ‘we’ of whom she speaks? I know of no Republican who is afraid of Trump retaliation.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) says Congress is failing its constitutional role of being a check on the executive branch as Donald Trump’s administration continues to unilaterally kill government programs, freeze spending and lay off thousands of federal workers.

Exactly as it failed to be a check on a long line of Dramacrat Presidents, regarding which Murkowski was notably silent.

The changes are producing “head-spinning” anxiety in and out of government, she said, particularly in a place like Alaska that is so reliant on federal funding

And it’s that sort of pork-barrel spending that Murkowski depends on to keep her job.

“We are all afraid,” Murkowski told Alaska nonprofit leaders on Wednesday, according to The Anchorage Daily News. “It’s quite a statement. But we are in a time and a place where I certainly have not been here before.

Yeah, a Republican President who acts like a Republican President. Quell horreur!

And I’ll tell ya, I’m oftentimes very anxious myself about using my voice, because retaliation is real. And that’s not right.”

If she were a real Republican, she would have nothing to worry about. Being, however, a RINO and semi-Democrat, she is right to be afraid.

‘In Three Months, Half of Them Will Be Dead’

17th April 2025

The Atlantic, a Voice of the Crust.

After Elon Musk made a public show of remedying an apparent error in DOGE’s massive cuts to foreign aid, the Trump administration has quietly doubled down on its decision to stop sending emergency food to millions of children who are starving in Bangladesh, Somalia, and other countries. Without urgent intervention, many of these children are likely to die within months, experts told me.

Paying for the support of foreign children is not the responsibility of the American taxpayer. If these hand-wringers want to spend their own money in that cause, they are free to do so–but they don’t want to spend their money, they want to spend your money, even though the national debt is now $31 trillion.

Judge Blocks Worker Protections for Abortion, Fertility Care for Catholic Employers

17th April 2025

Read it.

More than 9,000 Catholic employers do not need to abide by federal regulations requiring accommodations for workers who seek abortions and fertility treatments, according to a ruling issued this week by a federal judge in North Dakota.

The Catholic Benefits Association and the Bismarck Diocese filed a lawsuit last year challenging the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s regulations on implementing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which requires employers to make reasonable accommodations for pregnancy and childbirth-related needs. The EEOC interpreted the statute to include abortion and fertility treatments as among those needs, which the Catholic groups argued violated their religious rights.

The Catholic groups also challenged separate EEOC guidelines for enforcing anti-harassment laws, which the agency updated last year to specify that workers cannot be harassed over their gender-identity or for seeking or contemplating having abortions.

AG: Deported Migrant Owned MS-13 Rank, Street Name

17th April 2025

Read it.

he illegal migrant at the center of a deportation controversy held a rank and street name with the notorious MS-13 gang, court documents showed.

The Trump administration has alleged that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was arrested in Maryland and deported from the U.S., was an MS-13 member. He was sent to El Salvador despite an immigration court order preventing his deportation.

According to newly released documents, Abrego Garcia held the rank “Chequeo” and the street name “Chele” within the vicious criminal organization.

The Narrative Media obfuscate this by invariably calling him “Maryland Man”, as if he was just plucked from off the street for no reason whatsoever than Orange Man Bad.
