British MPs have raised concerns about the fact that the government is funding a disinformation ratings agency called the Global Disinformation Index (GDI), which compiles a “dynamic exclusion list”—or ‘blocklist’—of publications that publish perfectly lawful conservative and/or ‘gender critical’ content that it deems ‘harmful,’ and then gives that list to advertisers with the aim of persuading them not to advertise on those sites. Kemi Badenoch, the business secretary, is reportedly among a group of around ten MPs who are concerned about the prospect of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) continuing to fund the British-based company after it was accused of warning advertisers away from a mainstream UK news and commentary website.

Iran has shown that it can penetrate Israeli ABM defenses with a few strategic ballistic missiles if it launches 100+ simultaneously, but Iran has not yet announced that it has missile-ready nuclear warheads. There are still claims that it can’t, but it is now clear that Iran can produce those whenever it wants.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said last summer that Iran had amassed 121.6 kilograms of 60 percent enriched U-235 and could produce more at the rate of 9kg a month. At this point there could be 202.6kg. There are December 2023 estimates that Iran can purify 3kg of 60 percent enriched U-235 uranium to 2kg of weapons-grade (90 percent) at the rate of 25kg a week. In two months all of Iran’s 202.6kg of 60 percent enriched could be 135kg of weapons-grade. That’s enough for 16 ballistic missile warheads.
In two months, starting any time from now, Iran could truthfully announce it has at least 16 nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles with ranges of 1500 kilometers, and can increase that by two every three months. This would probably be enough to deter attacks on Iran and allow it to order its proxies to attack its enemies with impunity. Those are Iran’s objectives in acquiring missile-ready nuclear weapons and are achievable in this way.

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) last week released its next five-year plan for the State Water Project—Update 2023. After years of meetings, California’s premier water agency has decided to focus on “three intersecting themes: addressing climate urgency, strengthening watershed resilience, and achieving equity in water management.”
Water supplies for California’s 40 million people and the planet’s most productive agriculture have third- to fifth-level priority.
There is nothing new here, except to publicly admit to betraying the public trust. Really?

The 60-year-old leader of a mosque in Tyresö, Sweden, has been arrested on suspicion of direct participation in a terrorism organization. The Somali imam was heading a mosque on a volunteer basis, teaching children and youth on the premises of a Muslim cultural association.
The imam has been leading the mosque at least since the early 2000s, and for a time functioned as the chairman of the cultural association. His arrest was the result of an investigation following a raid by Swedish security services SÄPO in March, where four men in their 20s were detained.
Two of those, converts to Islam, have now been arrested on suspicion of preparation for terrorism and aggravated weapons offense. The two others are members of a known criminal gang. According to TV4, some of the suspects have been on the radar of law enforcement since September of last year.

After taking a birth control pill with progesterone, an Illinois woman began bleeding from her backside which almost took her life. This is the pill that is promoted by the same people who think abortion is safe.
The patient’s pain became increasingly worse after taking the pills for only two months. She had terrible “cramps, debilitating nausea, and blood diarrhea,” The Daily Mail indicated. After three weeks of intense pain, she went to the emergency room and was “diagnosed with ischemic colitis, which is most often caused by increased blood clotting in the abdomen and intestines.”
Doctors who treated the woman indicated that this was only the second case of its kind that they’d seen and that without circulation, parts of the bowl can die and therefore, the patient can too.

Pro-aborts vandalized the St. Patrick’s Church in Portland, Oregon over the weekend making it the 252nd attack on the Catholic Church since the Dobbs decision was leaked in 2022. This is part of the left’s ongoing effort to proclaim that they want Roe reinstated and the option to kill innocent, pre-born babies at their leisure.
Catholic church-goers were met with the messaging when heading to services at St. Patrick’s Church in Portland for Sunday mass.
“FUCK U My body My choice,” was spray painted on the once beautiful doors to the church as well as on the concrete outside the building, according to images shared on X by journalist Andy Ngo.

Across the U.S., the Catholic Church is undergoing an immense shift. Generations of Catholics who embraced the modernizing tide sparked in the 1960s by Vatican II are increasingly giving way to religious conservatives who believe the church has been twisted by change, with the promise of eternal salvation replaced by guitar Masses, parish food pantries and casual indifference to church doctrine.
The shift, molded by plummeting church attendance, increasingly traditional priests and growing numbers of young Catholics searching for more orthodoxy, has reshaped parishes across the country, leaving them sometimes at odds with Pope Francis and much of the Catholic world.
Sometimes the old ways are best.

The theory of constraints (TOC) is a management paradigm that views any manageable system as being limited in achieving more of its goals by a very small number of constraints. There is always at least one constraint, and TOC uses a focusing process to identify the constraint and restructure the rest of the organization around it. TOC adopts the common idiom “a chain is no stronger than its weakest link”. That means that organizations and processes are vulnerable because the weakest person or part can always damage or break them, or at least adversely affect the outcome.

ZMan discusses some inconvenient truth.
control of the economics of society. Whether the society is ruled by a king or a committee of girl bosses, the people who have the final say on all matters are those who control the wealth of society. The golden rule of human organization is “the man with the gold makes the rules.” Without much fanfare, we may have seen this rule work its magic in the big neocon funding bill.
The first thing to note about the money for Project Ukraine is most of the money will never turn up in Ukraine, at least not in the form of weapons. If you read the text of the bill most of the money is for slush funds the White House can use to replenish weapons taken off the shelf and sent to Ukraine over the last year. It appears the White House has been shipping weapons to Ukraine that were not paid for by Congress, so this created a debt to the Pentagon budget that is now repaid.
The number of actual weapons going to Ukraine as a result of this bill is a fraction of the sixty billion allocated. Ukraine needs advanced air defense systems, artillery tubes and artillery shells, but none of this is coming from Washington. The main reason for this is none of these things exist, at least not in surplus quantities. You cannot send what does not exist, even with billions to spend. Instead, Ukraine is getting what is available which is wheeled vehicles and surplus arms.

For most of our lifetimes, classically liberal economics so dominated the Right that nobody wondered if conservatives were abandoning free markets. In recent years, though, a new generation of conservative thinkers—more traditionalist, populist, or nationalist than libertarian—has challenged the utility and even the morality of laissez faire economic policy.
We welcome their questions and critiques, as they have compelled American conservatives to have a long overdue conversation about the market, the family, and the state. But the blunt truth is the movement cannot abandon free markets. The moral and practical case for free enterprise is as necessary today as it was when Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher used it to rescue their nations’ economies and win the Cold War.
Our aim—today as much as it was in 1980—is not economic efficiency for its own sake, but as a powerful means to further human flourishing, what Aristotle called eudaimonia and the Founders called “the pursuit of happiness.” Conservatism seeks the good, the beautiful, and the true—not just the efficient.

It was remarkable breaking news, occurring live on CNN. The White House Correspondents Association hosted a dinner and a Biden for President rally broke out.
It’s only natural that CNN loves live coverage of the White House Correspondents Dinner, where the anti-Trump media celebrate themselves for how essential they are to preserving democracy and how valiantly they warn Americans that Donald Trump is democracy’s antonym.
President Biden’s speech made some jokes about his age – it’s that safe spot where all the late-night comedians go. But he also showed nastiness: “Yes, age is an issue. I’m a grown man running against a six-year-old.” They loved that joke on CNN.

Internal data obtained by Fox News via a House Homeland Security Committee subpoena to Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shows that thousands of illegal immigrants have been flowing into over 45 U.S. cities under a controversial program instated by the Biden administration.
The “CHNV” migration parole program stands for Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Immigrants from these countries are eligible to participate in the parole program. The program permits them to fly into the U.S. directly under certain conditions, such as having a sponsor in the U.S. and being approved for travel.
Between January and August 2023, approximately 200,000 migrants flew into the U.S. via this program. Notably, 80 percent of these arrivals, totaling 161,562 individuals, landed in four cities in Florida: Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa.

The World Health Organization is urging the U.S. and 193 other governments to commit next month to a new global treaty to prevent and manage future pandemics. Current estimates suggest over $31 billion per year will be needed to fund its obligations, a cost most lower income countries cannot afford. But that isn’t the only reason to oppose it. Validating this treaty is a vote for the disastrous policies of the Covid years. Rather than taking time for deep reflection and serious reform, those pushing the pandemic treaty are set on ignoring and institutionalizing the WHO’s mistakes.

The Biden administration has rolled out a set of new guidelines, under which an employer would be deemed liable for harassment for referring to a worker by an unwanted pronoun or requiring the worker to use a restroom that aligns with his or her biological sex.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) published the new workplace harassment guidelines on Monday after approving them in a party-line 3–2 vote on Friday. The new document enshrines gender identity as a category protected against harassment, just like sex, race, religion, or disability.
