The man who police say attempted to murder a Senate Republican staffer with a knife in Washington, D.C., on Saturday was released from prison the day prior, court records show.
The Metropolitan Police Department announced on Monday that a man named Glynn P. Neal was arrested for stabbing a senior staffer from Sen. Rand Paul’s (R., Ky.) office, and charged with assault with the intent to kill. Court records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show the victim, whose name is being withheld, suffered from a punctured lung, a head wound that went through the skull causing hemorrhaging in the brain, a lacerated ear, and other puncture wounds throughout his body.
The 42-year-old Neal had been released from federal prison just a day earlier on Friday, Federal Bureau of Prisons records show. Neal in March 2011 was convicted on eight charges, including for pimping, felony threats, and obstruction of justice, court records show. The charges could have sent him to prison for 18 years, however, the judge sentenced him to a reduced 12 years, with five years of supervised release after serving his sentence.

Police gave unclear information on the gender of the shooter. For hours, police identified the shooter as a 28-year-old woman and eventually as Audrey Elizabeth Hale. At a late afternoon press conference, the police chief said Hale was transgender. After the news conference, police spokesperson Don Aaron declined to elaborate on how Hale identified.
In an email Tuesday, police spokesperson Kristin Mumford said Hale “was assigned female at birth. Hale did use male pronouns on a social media profile.”
Apparently this trans nutjob wasn’t a male pretending to be female, but a female pretending to be male.
Biden wants to continue bipartisan efforts like the Safer Communities Act and wants to pass common-sense gun safety laws, including a ban on “assault weapons,” Jean-Pierre said.
“We can’t do this alone. The president can’t do this alone. That’s how government works. Congress needs to take legislative action,” Jean-Pierre said. “It is time to show some courage here. It is time for Republicans in Congress to show some courage and to answer to these parents, to these families.”
The problem is not ‘gun safety’ but keeping guns out of the hands of crazy people, which ‘trans’ people demonstrably are.

Democrats have been the party of the rich for a while, but they used to be embarrassed about it. No longer–now they are out and proud as the Marie Antoinettes of American politics.
Take, for example, America’s worst politician, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Walz is an intellectual cipher who continues to fail upward. Now, like the Jeffersons, he is moving on up. From the governor’s mansion in St. Paul to an estate on exclusive Sunfish Lake.

Most readers have probably heard of Banksy, the pseudonymous British graffiti artist who has been active on the hip art scene in England since the 1990s. Banksy’s street art is very trendy, and his graffiti works — some of which have required the removal of sections of wall where they were painted — are often sold at auction for millions of dollars.
Banksy is also an activist for various progressive causes, including that of the poor, poor Palestinians. In addition he has often expressed his sympathies for third-world Muslim immigrants.
Recently Banksy lent his artistic hand to the decoration of a refitted French naval vessel, the Louise Michel, which is now being used as a migrant-ferry boat. The artist lavished a lot of pink paint on the job, and included some of his signature stencils in the design.
Now the Louise Michel has been impounded by the Italian maritime authorities for hindering the coast guard in its performance of its duties. The bien-pensants are up in arms about this interference in their migrant operations, and have lodged protests with the Italian government.
The following Italian news video reports on the brouhaha over the Louise Michel.

North America and South America each only have one continent-draining river–the Mississippi and the Amazon–while Africa has at least three (Nile, Congo, Niger, possibly the Zambezi) and Europe arguably only one (the Danube). Asia is just full of them: The Yellow and Yangtse, the Mekong, the Ganges and Indus, and one might almost be tempted to put the Tigris and Euphrates in that group.

Spurred by the brutal murder of her friend and Wall Street Journal colleague Daniel Pearl by Islamic jihadists, Asra Nomani launched her campaign against Islamic extremism in 2002. One of her pioneering battles against radical Islam was the fight for equal rights for Muslim women to pray alongside men in the main hall of a West Virginia local mosque. The mosque where she grew up had a separate prayer section for women in the back.
Nomani also heard imams at the mosque preach hatred toward non-believers and the West. Her largely-futile struggle against the Islamist Mosque was showcased in the PBS documentary, “The Mosque in Morgantown” as the final installment of the network’s series “America at a Crossroads.”

ZMan does the math.
One of the challenges on this side of the great divide is in convincing people that there is no solution within the system to the problems of the system. In other words, there is no voting our way out of this crisis. It is only through altering the system, perhaps even replacing it, that there can be meaningful change. This is a truth that even many people on this side of the divide struggle to accept. Generations of conditioning have trained us to vote harder, rather than act smarter.
The main reason there is no solution at the ballot box is demographics. The people in charge are quickly replacing the old white population with a new, vibrant and diverse population that naturally prefers managerialism. The tens of millions of new Americans love their managers more than they love life itself. In elections, they look for the candidates and the party that promises to take care of them. This institutional lock on the system will be clear in the coming election.
Freedom is very difficult when you are surrounded by willing slaves.

An NGO linked to the Muslim Brotherhood was given a platform at the European Parliament this week despite its established links with the hardline Islamist group. The European Network Against Racism (ENAR) is a pan-European, anti-racist umbrella group that hosted a series of panels and policy meetings with MEPs at the Parliament from March 20th to 22nd.
ENAR has been repeatedly linked to the Muslim Brotherhood by EU officials, with its recently retired director, Michaël Privot, admitting he was a former member of the extremist organisation. The Muslim Brotherhood is a global Islamist organisation banned in multiple countries, and noted for its entryism into civil society groups.

Caltech engineers have made a significant breakthrough in the field of nano- and micro-architected materials by creating a novel material composed of multiple interconnected microscale knots.
Compared to structurally identical but unknotted materials, the presence of knots in this new material significantly enhances its toughness by enabling it to absorb more energy and deform more before returning to its original shape without any damage. These new knotted materials may find applications in biomedicine as well as in aerospace applications due to their durability, possible biocompatibility, and extreme deformability.

In the past 48 hours, more than 4000 migrants have reached Southern Italy – a new record – with some 2,000 people disembarking on the island of Lampedusa alone.
According to government figures, arrivals have tripled in the first three months of 2023.
So far this year, more than 20,000 migrants landed on Italian shores. Some 6,500 people arrived in Italy during the same period in 2022.

The supposedly spontaneous student protest at Stanford Law School was more insidious than it first appeared. It was disturbing enough that students shouted down federal judge Kyle Duncan, preventing him from speaking at all. But the protest was part of a nationwide effort by the National Lawyers Guild, an organization that has a long history of Marxist and anti-American activity.
And their work is not finished. This article provides a background on the NLG, but I’ve selected a few paragraphs that explain how dangerous they are

“Teachers are this country’s silent, constant superheroes,” writes Alexandra Robbins in her new book, The Teachers: A Year Inside America’s Most Vulnerable, Important Profession. The book, which is filled with this kind of pablum, reminded me of nothing so much as a scene in the movie School of Rock where Jack Black, who is impersonating a substitute teacher, is asked about his educational philosophy by his colleagues. He proceeds to recite Whitney Houston lyrics: “I believe the children are the future … you can teach them well but you have got to let them lead the way.” The other faculty members nod along earnestly. Education is very important and teachers are the noblest among us. Well, probably some of them. And probably some doctors and lawyers and construction workers and pastors and the people who fix cars too. Maybe they will be the subject of future paeans.
Robbins, whose previous book Nurses was subtitled “A Year of Secrets, Drama, and Miracles With the Heroes of the Hospital,” has found a formula she likes. But the general public may find her latest love letter a little hard to take. After a few years in which teachers refused to show up for work and students fell hopelessly behind and were subject to the most outrageous forms of political indoctrination, one wonders how many Americans are buying the “teachers are heroes” bit anymore.

One of Biden’s answers to combating higher gas prices has been to tap into America’s oil reserves. While I was never a fan of the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) program, it does have a place in our toolbox of weapons. We can use the reserve to keep the country running if outside oil supplies are cut off. Still, considering how out of touch with reality Washington has become, we can only imagine the insane types of services it would deem essential next time an oil shortage occurs.
Sadly, some of these reserves found their way into the export market and ended up in China. We now have proof that the President’s son Hunter had a Chinese Communist Party member as his assistant while dealing with the Chinese. Apparently, he played a role in the shipping of American natural gas to China in 2017. It seems the Biden family was promising business associates that they would be rewarded once Biden became president. Biden’s actions could be viewed as those of a traitor or at least disqualify him from being President.
