A woman was charged with making a threat of violence against a Republican election official in Michigan, federal authorities announced Wednesday.

The headline provisions include $600 stimulus checks to individuals earning under $75,000 per year, a $300 per week unemployment supplement, more money for Paycheck Protection Program loans and funding for coronavirus vaccine distribution to the tune of over $8 billion. The bill extends the federal eviction moratorium through Jan. 31 and sets aside $25 billion in rental assistance.

Of course, there is a lot more in this 5,500-plus page bill. In fact, hardly anybody knows everything included in this massive spending boondoggle. But I can assure you, most of this money will do nothing to support that average American who will ultimately foot the bill.

In the last several weeks, now that the election is over, MSNBC production teams have been struggling to keep track of which of the network’s pretend Republican analysts are actually still identifying as Republicans.

Most recently, on Sunday’s PoliticsNation show, host Al Sharpton incorrectly identified MSNBC political analyst Elise Jordan as a “Republican strategist,” as did the chyron, even though she has previously admitted on the network that she is no longer a Republican. But, on the Sunday show, Jordan did not even bother to correct him.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio called out Fox News Monday over their coverage of his latest mission to “redistribute wealth” to end structural racism in the education system.

During a news conference last week the mayor vowed to fight “structural racism” in the city’s schools by redistributing wealth. Fox News ran an article on the event with the headline, “NYC mayor sees the redistribution of wealth as an important factor toward ending structural racism in education.”

According to the Journal, Texas and 8 other GOP-led states will ask a federal court Tuesday to deem the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program unlawful.

The Trump administration tried to end the program back in 2017, but faced legal hurdles. This summer, the Supreme Court determined the Trump administration did not follow proper protocol to end the program.

Texas filed its legal suit against DACA in 2018. The Journal reports the case was put on hold as other lawsuits attempting to stop the Trump administration from ending the program made their way through the courts.

This is a Javascript program for designing Celtic knots. Initially the display is a simple weave of intersecting threads. You can design a knot by clicking on the points where the threads intersect. The program ensures that your knot is always properly woven (over then under). Your knot will look best if it has some symmetry or pattern to it (for bonus points, use a single thread).

Knotwork (and interlace) is fairly simple to design using paper and pencil but automating the process is convenient.

As the event was underway Saturday, Palm Beach County officials suddenly stopped allowing students to enter the convention center lobby to register, saying the event was over capacity, and stranding hundreds of students outside the door – packed like sardines. Of course, in that environment rumors start quickly and are amplified on social media. It was reported that TPUSA was attempting to do same-day registration at the convention center, that they were unregistering attendees, and that they oversold the event. TPUSA officials tell RedState that none of those rumors are true.

One of the more annoying things that the elitist media does in the course of their profession, was to think that just because they spend some time covering something it meant that they’re suddenly trained experts in the field. Thus was the case on Sunday’s Face the Nation, were talking head Margaret Brennan began yelling at Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams to vaccinate President Trump on camera, despite medical advice not to. She also accused Republicans of being anti-vaccine.

Perhaps you have had the experience of hiking in the woods, or navigating at sea or in a complex network of swamps and streams. It’s not good to have a map with you if you do not know how to use the map, and how to use a compass. And neither the map nor the compass will be of any use if you cannot determine where you even are on that map, or to gauge if you have the right map in the first place. And you had better know where you should be heading too or it’s all a hopeless endeavor. If someone has given you a false map and bad directions, and pointed you towards a swamp instead of the welcoming lodge that is your real goal, are you wise or experienced enough to avoid the deceptions?
