Ace of Spades lays it out.
Horrific as all of this is, especially in light of Steve Scalise, Rand Paul as well as the in-your-face put-to-the-line harassment of Trump officials, America is seeing exactly who and what the Democrat party is up close and personal. The good news is, America is revolted by it. Unfortunately, the more America rejects this, the more the Left intensifies the attacks and no doubt a drink in the face and spittle flecked shrieking will become bullets and pipe bombs before long. At some point, there will be a reaction and then all bets will be off.
I take comfort in the fact that my side has most of the guns. At least for now.

Really, it always has been. Dallas has ‘HOV” (high occupancy vehicle) lanes but the requirement starts at two people — that’s ‘high occupancy’? — which makes no sense until you realize that (a) me and my driver can use the lanes while (b) Joe Sixpack heading to a job site in his F150 cannot. Then it becomes clear.
Most rail transit systems are based on the premise that the jobs are Downtown and the people leave out some ways in the suburbs, but nobody puts their offices Downtown any more — except major corporations who have always been there and those companies who want that Downtown address for prestige.

Of course they are. All it takes is for some woman in a burqa to come in and say, ‘You’re discriminating against us because we are Muslim! You are racists! Just wait until I get to the newspaper!’ and they immediately cave; this process is explained at great length in Tom Wolfe’s essay ‘Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers’, which I heartily recommend.

One of the most useful things about the Trump victory is that it has flushed out a number of pretend Republicans who merely affiliated with the party because it was a smaller pond and made their chances of being a big frog marginally better. (Yeah, I’m lookin’ at you, Bloomberg.)
They were always just hangers-on of the Chattering Class who could switch jerseys overnight and nobody would blink an eye.

When President Trump pulled the US out of the Paris Climate Agreement, he also pulled us out of paying any additional money to the so-called “Green Climate Fund” (GCF). Sorry, no more green for the greenies’ fund. This is the fund which has been given $7.2 billion dollars of taxpayer money from a variety of countries. It is the fund that countries around the world have been pushing hard to get their hands on. It is also the fund that was supposed to be given $100 billion, so they could parcel it out for corrupt third world politicians and greedy UN rent-seekers to swim around in for decades … dream on.

Ali Watkins, the journalist who did some of her best reporting in bed, has been “demoted,” not fired, by the New York Times. The Times announced that Watkins will be exiled from the paper’s Washington D.C. to . . .New York City.
A fate worse than death. The Crust take care of their own.
Watkins had a romantic relationship with James Wolfe, the former head of security for the Senate Intelligence Committee. Wolfe was indicted last month for making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Watkins. The FBI was investigating leaks from the Intelligence Committee.
As security chief for that committee, Wolfe was privy to plenty of newsy secrets. Watkins, who is now 26 years old, shot up the journalism chain-of-being by breaking big news stories about the Intelligence Committee during the time she was romantically involved with Wolfe. The FBI wanted to know whether Watkins’ knowledge of those secrets came from Wolfe. It seems obvious that at least some of them did.
Prediction: Nobody will get fired, nobody will go to jail.
Had they been Republicans they’d have long since appeared on the Evening News doing the perp walk.

The basic problem with the Demagogue Party is that they never have anything good to say about America. Their constant message is ‘America sucks, and it will always suck, but under us it will suck a bit less, maybe.’ There is always an OMG emergency, somewhere, the sky is always falling, somewhere, and we all need to do something about it right now, somehow.

In a move that is alarming San Francisco’s biggest industry, a major medical association is pulling its annual convention out of the city — saying its members no longer feel safe.
“It’s the first time that we have had an out-and-out cancellation over the issue, and this is a group that has been coming here every three or four years since the 1980s,” said Joe D’Alessandro, president and CEO of S.F. Travel, the city’s convention bureau.
California, especially in its coastal cities, is descending into a stratified society that consists of an extremely affluent upper class and a poor squalid underclass full of street people, drug addicts, and crazies. This is not, of course, what hipsters mean when they talk of ‘vibrant street life’, but this is what Blue State socialism gets you.

Freeberg wants to know.
It would make me happy if today, just as a mental exercise, my fellow Americans imagined someone from a poor, undeveloped country addressed them directly and asked this:
What’s up with all these Americans acting like they’re oppressed? Or, “speaking out” on behalf of other Americans they feel like were oppressed. Why is it that so many Americans are under the impression so many OTHER Americans are somehow victims…when you guys have so much food? Could you please help me understand?
You know how to answer this question? I don’t.

Steve Sailer peers ahead.
We are constantly told that Central Americans are flocking to America to “escape violence.” Yet in Mexico the vast increase in criminal violence since 2006 has coincided with a lower level of emigration to the U.S., probably because the Mexican economy prospers from the drug trade. On the other hand, if disorder continues to spread in Mexico, the economy might well be hurt, which would make mass migrations to a once-again prospering America more likely.
…
The main rule of Mexican politics since the late 1920s is no Presidents-for-Life. The winning generals of the Mexican Revolution of a century ago kept assassinating one another in their peacetime struggle for supreme power, so in 1929 Plutarco Elías Calles founded the oxymoronically entitled Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) to cartelize rule via a strict term limit of one six-year presidential term. Under the vaguely left-of-center syndicalist PRI, there was to be no need to murder your rivals: If you live long enough, your faction would get its time at the trough.

ZMan is properly dyspeptic this Independence Day.
Patriotism, properly understood, is a loyalty to the citizens who came before you. The emotional draw is gratitude for what they bequeathed. That implies a duty to preserve it for the next generation. If citizenship is just a meaningless transaction, then those citizens who came before us are no more important than the next guy who wanders over the border. Put another way, according to our rulers, our ancestors are strangers and so are our decedents. What possible reason would anyone have to be loyal to strangers?
It’s actually worse than that. The reason America is descending into a transactional land of strangers is that our ancestors decided to piss it all away. Why should anyone feel loyalty to the people who pushed through the 1986 immigration act? Why should we want to preserve what they passed onto us? If anything, we should take this day to dig up their bones and smash them to bits on the capital mall. That sounds harsh, but is there anything more monstrous than denying your decedents a chance to live the life you lived?

One of the key aspects of Cultural Marxist is the hunt for internal enemies, ‘deviationists’ and ‘revisionists’ and people who might not be as extreme as they ought to be. The great purges in Russia in the 1930s are an example of this tendency exploding out of control, as is the Cultural Revolution in China forty years later.
All radical regimes are subject to this tendency, from the Terror in revolutionary France to the witch trials and heresy trials held by the Puritans in colonial New England.
When this frenzy takes hold, the only way to stay ahead of the forest fire is to start a backfire, i.e. be quicker to denounce your neighbor than your neighbor is to denounce you. Sometimes this works; sometimes it does not, as Yagoda found out.
We may be seeing the first drip-drip-drips of this process in the ranks of proglodyte America.
Typically it does not end well.

Tom Smith has it right.
The way to stop discriminating on race is to stop discriminating on race.
“Holistic admissions” is an admissions process that is sufficiently subjective, complex and unrepeatable that one can discriminate on the basis of race or anything else (prep school LAX, celebrity parents, etc., etc.), and no one will be able to prove it.
The Crust loves to be able to fudge things so that they can say one thing and do another, which always seems to benefit them rather than their Fashionable Victim Groups.
