As Christmas quickly approaches and our ears fill with the sounds of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” it is impossible to ignore the festive spirit surrounding the year-end.
And one Twitter user, Cat Reynolds, has given us even more reason to celebrate.
She posted that all of Santa’s reindeer – Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph – are female, an observation that immediately went viral.
According to experts, Reynolds’ tweet is likely accurate – because male reindeer shed their antlers at the end of the mating season in early December, while females sport their thinner antlers throughout the winter.
Well. There it is. Cue proglodyte calls on Santa Claus to resign in disgrace.

On Thursday’s New Day, CNN host Alisyn Camerota presented a group of six Donald Trump voters to discuss, in part, the Alabama Senate special election, and the group somehow managed to exclude voters who actually supported Republican candidate Roy Moore.
Even though the Republican nominee received almost half the vote in a state where Trump won 62 percent — meaning an overwhelming percentage of Trump voters must have supported Moore — all three of the Alabama voters included on the panel voiced their opposition to him.

Left-stream media are so willing to use anyone to bash Republicans that it doesn’t matter a wit to them if their source has an arrest record and a disturbing past. Charles Barkley, a former NBA player and current TNT basketball commentator, bashed GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore and the conservatives in his home state of Alabama, but media lapped up his disdain for the Right without questioning his criminal past.

In November 2015, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar at The View rudely shut down then-presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, insisting that she was lying when she stated that Planned Parenthood had admitted to harvesting baby parts from aborted fetuses.
On Friday, in a development which is predictably failing to get the media visibility it deserves, Orange County’s district attorney announced a $7.8 million settlement with two California companies accused of “selling fetal-derived cells and tissues” obtained from fetal body parts acquired from Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. When will ABC demand that Whoopi and Joy apologize to Fiorina — and to the nation?

Roy Moore loses to Doug Jones in humiliating Senate result for Donald Trump Uh, ‘humiliating’? How? Moore lost by a razor-thin margin after serving as a Crustian piñata since his primary win. Trump’s only involvement was to endorse Moore because he was — wait for it — the Republican candidate. If anyone was humiliated it was the Washington establishment, who almost got their asses handed to them. If Trump had not been President, they would have won it walking away.

The DemLegHump Media take great comfort in any poll anywhere that says Trump has a low approval rating. For an ordinary politician, this would be significant. For Trump, it’s not, because the available evidence indicates that Trump doesn’t give a shit about polls. The whole point of ‘approval polls’ is to put pressure on elected officials between elections, and if the elected official in question is pressure-proof (as Trump has demonstrated himself to be), then it’s really just a waste of money.

My black brother who lives in Baltimore said something that has stuck with me. He said, “I am tired of having to show people (whites) that I am not like them (black thugs).” His comment was made to convince me that NFL players have valid reasons for protesting our country.
I told my brother it is not white America’s fault that blacks commit more crimes than any other race except whites. Blacks are only 13% of the population.
White Americans did not burden my brother with constantly having to show he is not a thug, blacks did. Like our dad, Dr. Rev. Lloyd E. Marcus, my brother is highly respected in his community; awarded for his service as commissioner of his county’s youth football league. However, my brother does dress urban style — the causal attire typical of inner city blacks. No, he does not wear his pants below his butt.

The president sought to bolster his base with a speech from the White House Wednesday afternoon. In the speech, Trump touted the merits of the tax plan, bringing forward families who would benefit from it. Trump brought forward pastor Leon and wife Marie Benjamin along with their children as an example of a family who will get a larger tax refund under the plan. The president invited the pastor to speak, and what he said next was amazing.
“To God be the glory!” Benjamin said loudly into the microphone.

I might as well get into the “hot take” game. Democrats and their media echo chamber will openly celebrate Doug Jones’s narrow win in Alabama, but inside I’ll bet they are actually disappointed. There is little chance they can hold this seat in 2020 (unless Republicans nominate Roy Moore again). Meanwhile, Jones deprives them of their favorite talking point that Republicans are all drooling knuckle-dragging morons. Worse, it means Al Franken will likely have to go through with his resignation after all. I’d bet money that a polygraph examination would reveal that Franken was secretly hoping for a Moore victory. It was his only chance of hanging on.

The left has found itself stuck between a rock and a hard place. Bullying is bad, on the one hand, but on the other hand, isn’t it important to stick to the narrative of racism?
When a video of middle school student Keaton Jones addressing his bullies went viral, everyone was sympathetic. It wasn’t until two photos of Keaton’s mother holding a confederate flag was discovered that celebrities and journalists started to turn their backs to little Keaton’s plight. After all, racism is one of the few mortal sins left in the liberal media.

If you think you pay too much for your cell phone each month, you shouldn’t necessarily blame your provider. Instead, first look closely at your bill, then your public officials.
The average American family paying for four cell phones and service costing $100 per month will also pay about $221 each year in wireless taxes, fees, and surcharges, according to a recent study by the Tax Foundation. This means Americans as a whole will pay $17.1 billion in taxes and fees across all levels of government for wireless service in 2017. These taxes and fees make up 18.5% of the average American’s wireless bill, so a significant chunk of your bill each month goes not to your provider, but to Big Brother.

Off the coast of South Africa, just below the ocean’s surface, an epic battle is underway as killer whales hunt and kill the world’s most iconic predator, the great white shark.
The phenomenon began in early May when scientists at the shark cage diving company Marine Dynamicsspotted a pair of killer whales cruising along the southwestern coast of South Africa. Days later, great white shark carcasses began washing up in their wake.

Located off the North-Western seaboard of Europe, Ireland’s geographic situation is conducive to genetic homogeneity and isolation. Indeed, several traits are found to be at high frequencies within the Irish, compared to the mainland European populations, including; cystic fibrosis, lactase persistence, coeliac disease, galactosaemia, and multiple sclerosis. Studies of ancient Irish genomes suggest that the modern Irish genetic landscape was established about 3,500 years ago in the Irish Bronze Age. There have since been a number of significant historical migrations into Ireland; the Norse Vikings in the late first millennium, the Norman invasion of the 12th century, and the Plantations of the 16th and 17th centuries. The impact of these migrations on the modern Irish genome is largely unknown.

Every year, more women than men become college-educated. The disparity is already prevalent across North America and Europe, and the trend is beginning to spread across the world more widely. At the University of Texas at Austin where I teach, the sex ratio is 54 percent women to 46 percent men. This imbalance may not seem large at first blush. But when you do the math it translates into a hefty 17 percent more women than men in the local mating pool. Speculations about reasons range widely. They include the gradual removal of gender discrimination barriers and women’s higher levels of conscientiousness (relative to men’s) that translate into better grades and superior college app qualifications. Whatever the causes turn out to be, the disparity is creating a dramatic and unintended mating crisis among educated women.
Stop it, you’re breaking my heart.

I don’t actually have an awful lot to say about bonding identity, not beyond what’s already been said by others. Overall I’m not a fan — insofar as you can meaningfully say that you’re “not a fan” of a core feature of human psychology — in a terminal-values kind of way. The end-point of pumping up your bonding identity is becoming a eusocial hive insect, caring less about your own fate and more about the fate of the group with which you identify, and while that’s a viable form of eudaimonia I tend to react to it with disgust. It’s also true that one of the major functions of bonding identity is facilitating group action and shared grievance, and that (like revolutionary fervor) this is a crisis technology that becomes less useful and more dangerous as you move towards utopia and things get better. Also, of course, people who invest strongly in bonding identity are especially prone to ignore concrete truths about themselves, since it’s so easy to play mental sleight-of-hand games that shuffle “traits I possess” and “traits possessed by the average member of My Group” and “traits possessed by the most heroically extraordinary members of My Group.”
