The Syrian war has been good for Hezbollah in that respect. They’ve cleaned out Assad’s depots and brought the goods back to Lebanon.

The Israelis can’t afford a war of attrition with Hezbollah. The Iran-backed terror group has the ability to saturation bomb Israeli civilians with 1,500 projectiles a day, every day, for over two months. They will try to bring down Tel Aviv’s skyscrapers with ballistic missiles. They will try to fly suicide drones into Israel’s nuclear reactor. They will try to detonate Israel’s off-shore energy infrastructure. They will try to destroy Israeli military and civilian runways. And – mainly but not exclusively through their tunnels – they will try to overrun Israeli towns and drag away women and children as hostages. Israeli casualties would range in the thousands to tens of thousands.

And so the Israelis will have to mobilize massive force to shorten the duration of a future war. One of the things they’ll do is immediately is move to eliminate as much of Hezbollah’s vast arsenal as possible. Hezbollah is counting on the resulting deaths of their human shields – and they’ve guaranteed to that the body count will be significant – to turn Israel into an international pariah. But the Israelis can’t let Hezbollah level their entire country with indiscriminate rocket fire and advanced missiles, just because no one in Lebanon is willing or able to expel the group from Shiite villages.

Mayor Bart De Wever of Antwerp has been threatened with death if he does not convert to Islam. His response? To hire a bodyguard.

But he’s the mayor, for crying out loud! You’d think he could send an armed police battalion to roust all the usual suspects out of certain culturally enriched neighborhoods. He could then make sure that they fully understood their status in his city, and keep them on their best behavior — or else.

The demographic profile of Iranian Azerbaijan reveals the ethnic diversity of Iran. The country is not entirely Persian, as many outsiders believe. Turkic, Kurdish, and other non-Farsi languages are spoken by large minorities.

The recent turbulence in Mahabad began as such urban troubles often do, with an alleged abuse of power, a death, and rapid communication through the streets. According to the English-language web portal of the Kurdish newspaper Rudaw, which is professional and reliable, in the first week of May a Kurdish woman, Farinaz Khosrawani, aged 25, died after she fell, jumped, or was pushed from the fourth floor of the Tara Hotel in the city. Ostensibly, the victim, while employed at the hotel, sought to escape a rape attempt by an Iranian state official.

The following news story concerns a Somali man in Arizona who forced a young girl to “marry” him, and then locked her up and assaulted her when she resisted the arrangement. Because the “groom” had cut a deal with the girl’s parents — presumably involving money — the media reports refer to the young woman’s predicament as an “arranged marriage”.

In his commentary, Vlad points out that the correct terminology for these nuptials is “forced marriage”, since the girl was dragged into unholy matrimony against her will. Furthermore, to be forcibly confined and compelled to commit sexual acts under the threat of violence is to be a slave — a sexual slave, as has been the lot of so many women in Islamic cultures over the past 1400 years.

If political correctness were not in control of our public discourse, the word slavery would be prominently featured in all these news stories.

A TURKISH teenage talent sensation who has been starring on the country’s equivalent to the X Factor has been shot in the head while rehearsing at home.

Mutlu Kaya, 19, is in a critical condition after the brutal attack as she practised for the national TV talent show, according to reports.

Ms Kaya had allegedly received death threats for appearing on the singing contest, which is frowned upon by some in her conservative home region of Diyarbakir in southeast Turkey.

Last Saturday Gavin Boby of the Law and Freedom Foundation spoke at a demo sponsored by MARIAS (Mothers Against Radical Islam and Sharia) at Downing Street in London. He discussed the Islamization of Britain and the rest of Europe, paying particular attention to rape gangs, Jew-hatred, and seditious mosques.

But like the monster in the movie, it’s taken “three billion electro-volts of energy and it’s still coming on”!  Why have none of the previous heavy blows slowed ISIS or any of the affiliated rebel groups down?  Why is the jihadi organism inexplicably resistant to leadership disruptions, whether caused by drone strikes or the murderous work of rivals from other factions? How can it stand against the Olympian thunderbolt? This is an important question to answer.

It’s resistant because it is not a state.

No it’s not made of “solid nuclear material”.  But unlike a state, headed by an Emperor of Japan or Fuhrer, Islamic militancy has the apparent ability to reconfigure itself on the fly; to find energy from catastrophes that would delegitimize ordinary state institutions.   The Syrian rebel scene is a case in point.  It’s a constellation of merging and splitting groups with fanciful names like “Defenders of Jerusalem”, “Knights of Justice”, “Shields of Revolution”, “Sham Legion”, “Knights of Constantinople” and “Euphrates Volcano”.  It’s a regular Legion of Doom.

In this environment a damaged Al-Qaeda evolves into ISIS or spawns an al-Nusrah, like a Hydra sprouting heads or water groping a path down a slope.  Groups are constantly dividing, consolidating and taking each other over.  Instead of dying under the blows of the administration, the collective organism mutates; it has now acquired the unnerving capacity to engage in “united front” tactics with governments and rival armed groups in Iraq and Syria.

Islam is not an enemy; it’s a disease, and must be faced as such.

Lately, there have been reports that Sunni regional allies Turkey and Saudi Arabia have been planning a joint military offensive against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Damascus, a Nusayri [Alawi] nemesis for both Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The reports claimed that the planned operation would involve both ground troops and air strikes.

It’s not exactly a serious complaint, either, and it isn’t coming from actual Muslim students in any event. “Baffled Catholic University officials say they have never received a complaint from any of the schools Muslim students,” writes BeliefNet.

In fact, the university expressed its bafflement in a full-length statement: “Catholic University’s faithfulness to our Catholic tradition has also made us a welcome home to students of other religions. No students have registered complaints about the exercise of their religions on our campus. We understand that a professor unaffiliated with Catholic University has made public allegations claiming that we are discriminating against our students on religious grounds, but we have not seen any legal filing – and will respond to them if we do.”

Perhaps Samuel Huntington’s most famous assertion comes his 1996 book The Clash of Civilizations in which he argues that “Islam’s borders are bloody and so are its innards.” The Western world is likely to remember the “borders” yet apt to forget the “innards”.  Yet it is the innards which is generating the greatest misery.  The quarrels of Islam are spewing out broken people at a near historic rate. There are more refugees in the world today than at any time since the Second World War: fifty million, according to the UNHCR.  Most of them are Muslims.

No one who reads Seyyid Qutb’s book Milestones could be in any doubt that the destruction of ancient monuments by ISIS or the Taliban is perfectly in keeping with Islamist thought. Milestones is an important book not because of its merits, either intellectual or literary, but because of its influence. It was one of the founding texts of modern Islamic fundamentalism (if that is not an oxymoron) and is worth studying not for itself but for the light it sheds on a certain mentality, namely that of Moslems who believe themselves in possession of the highest truth yet find themselves permanently sunk in moral, economic and social squalor.

After the Texas shooting, there is all round condemnation in the US media of Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller, the two of the greatest counterjihadists around; for indulging in “needless provocation.”

So, even in the Land of Free and the Home of Brave, after fourteen years of a brutal attack on it, there are open calls for surrender.

This only shows that dhimma can be imposed from the top, in one go, if the believers have conquered the land; or it can also be imposed from below, by imposing one provision at a time, and unleashing vigilantes on the violators.

The real strength of the Religion of Peace is the sanction of vigilantism in it. So government may be sincerely secular and tough, the press may be objective, security agencies may indeed be highly competent and able to control big-ticket terrorism, but there is no solution whatsoever to vigilantism.

If there are millions who are ready to walk up to a person who has offended them and kill him, there is nothing any police can ever do. In such situations, the only way the person can live is to go into hiding, and that is what those who run afoul of Religion of Peace do to survive. In reality they have gone for complete physical separation, though they are alone on the other side of wall.

This an authoritative source on Sunni Islamic law, because it is certified as such by Al-Azhar University in Cairo. In it you can find the most notorious elements of sharia (death for apostasy and blasphemy, the second-class status of women, the lack of punishment for the killing of kuffar, etc.) backed up by verses of the Koran and hadith.

In his 2007 bestseller book, The Children of Moses, quirky Turkish writer Ergun Poyraz claimed that then Prime Minister [now President] Recep Tayyip Erdogan was a crypto-Jew. The book’s cover depicted Erdogan and his wife in a Star of David, and portrayed Erdogan as a secret agent of “international Jewry.”

What’s interesting isn’t that Islam4UK spokesman Anjem Choudary believes that death should come to all who insult Mohammed, but that the Western cultural elites who would be his most probable victims think it’s bigoted to even question his view. But Choudary the parasite understands, perhaps more than his hapless intellectual hosts, upon whose body he feasts and is laying his eggs, how paralyzing the venom of political correctness is. “When asked why, if Western society was so bad, he lived here, he replied: ‘We come here to civilize people, get them to come out of the darkness and injustice into the beauty of Islam.’”

When Mohammed Emwazi went out from west London to Syria literally to carve out a new career as “Jihadi John”, masked avenger of non-wrongs, England lost an “extremely kind, extremely gentle” idealist. That is, according to a group called CAGE, whose director Asim Qureshi was moved to chivalrous indignation by the security services’ blatantly racist practice of quizzing known Muslim extremists about Muslim extremist terrorism. MI5 “harassment”, Qureshi opined, may have been the proximate cause of the young social justice campaigner’s flight into regrettable (if understandable) excess. He did not exactly say that the problem was rooted in aeons of Islamophobia, but that implication is always taken as read in such rationales.

When three teenaged girls from Bethnal Green flew from London to Istanbul to rendezvous with Islamist eye candy, it was obviously not their fault, because they were too “vulnerable” and too female to be autonomous individuals. Nor was it anything to do with their families — nor certain excitable Koran passages. It was the internet, but also the Metropolitan Police, who had handed letters about an absconded schoolmate to the girls to give to their parents rather than to the parents directly.

The core cause of British jihadism is of course the mass immigration mainstream politicians continue to promote, even though it was always obvious that when you import people you also import their pathologies — and when you assimilate no-one you alienate everyone. But again this is too difficult a target for politicians, many of whom are complicit in the cause and are in any case chronically uninterested in culture. This is a fast-moving situation, but it seems certain that for the foreseeable future we will keep fending off horror with soft hands, while looking concernedly at the crumbling consensus behind.

In the following interview from Australian television, you’ll hear a Malaysian Associate Professor Dr. Shamrahayu Ab. Aziz discuss Islamic law, particularly as it applies to apostasy (death) and adultery (stoning). With mass migration from Africa to Europe much in the news, it’s worth looking into the background of the late Amedy Coulibaly. He was the anti-Semitic Islamist terrorist who followed up the Charlie Hebdo massacre by murdering four hostages at a kosher grocery store in Paris after first killing a policeman.

Ostensibly, it was a merry event. A week before Passover, hundreds of Turkish Jews from Istanbul gathered in the western city of Edirne for the reopening of the Great Synagogue, which had closed its doors in 1969 and had remained a ruin since then, until it was recently restored.

In the days after the high-profile ceremony, the Great Synagogue would go back to its quieter days, as there are no longer Jews in Edirne, and only 17,000 in the whole of Turkey.

Turkey’s notoriously anti-Semitic and Islamist government did its best to entertain the congregation by sending two bigwigs to the ceremony. One of them, Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, made a speech that, otherwise, could have caused bursts of laughter at the synagogue. “Thank God,” he said, “There is no anti-Semitism in Turkey.” His next remarks showed even darker humor. He said: “There is no racism in Turkey; it has never found a base for its roots. When we look at Europe and other countries we see how far behind us they are, and we feel really sorry.”

The latest reports suggest that Islamic State fighters have largely withdrawn from the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmuk, on the outskirts of Damascus.

The jihadis have returned to the district of Hajar al-Aswad, from where they launched their assault into the camp on April 1; the strongest element in the camp now is Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian franchise of al-Qaida.

Now that Mr. Lilley no longer has to be bound by the editorial strictures of SUN TV, he is willing to tell his audience what most Gates of Vienna readers take for granted: the Islamic State represents the real Islam. Its murderous brutality is simply an acting-out of the instructions laid down by the founder of Islam 1400 years ago.

By the way — Brian Lilley describes the English-language narrator near the end of the ISIS video as a “North American”, but he’s obviously a Canadian. To someone born south of the Mason-Dixon Line, the Canadian accent is unmistakable….

While the refugee flood is most certainly a humanitarian tragedy, it is very probably a deliberate component of the rapid advance of Islamist forces through North Africa, Arabia and the Levant.  The probable reason why the establishment can’t see this is because they’ve willed themselves not to see the war.  The constant mantra is that there is no war on terror; that the enemy is nothing to do with Islam.  See the war and you can see the tactic. In fact it is reminiscent of the old Nazi 1940 method of driving refugees onto the roads before them to tie up the French while the Panzers advanced behind them.

The Islamic State has just released another video where it executes more Christians, this time for not paying jizya — the tribute demanded of Christians according to Koran 9:29 in order to live under Islam as Christians.

Two scenes appear in the 29-minute long video. The first scene consists of a group of Christian Ethiopians dressed all in black, with armed and masked Islamic State members standing behind them. According to the video, this scene takes place in the city of Fezzan. The Ethiopian captives are called “Nationals of the cross, from among nationals of the Ethiopian Church.”

The Webber Academy is an acclaimed secular private school in Alberta. It treats all religious faiths equally: no religious observance is permitted in school. No prayers, no worship services. Not for any religion. Period.

That is, until some parents of Muslim students filed a complaint with the Alberta Human Rights Commission. The HRC found against the Webber Academy, and ordered it to pay a fine, and to accommodate its Muslim students, to avoid discrimination.

For the dimwitted, I will explain that treating everybody the same is not discrimination, by definition.

In other words, Muslim students must be treated differently from all other students, otherwise they are being discriminated against.
