On June 26th Kuwait suffered its worst ever Islamic terror attack when a Sunni Saudi suicide bomber walked into a Shia mosque and detonated his explosive vest, killing himself and 26 Shia there to pray. Kuwait spends a lot of time, money and effort keeping its local Islamic terrorists under control but this attack came via Saudi Arabia, where police in both countries quickly discovered a new ISIL cell that largely consisted of men with known Islamic terrorist tendencies but who had learned how to conceal their real activities from whatever police surveillance they were under. To make this attack in Kuwait possible it was soon found a complex series of couriers and safe houses was used to move the explosive vest hundreds of kilometers across Saudi Arabia and into Kuwait. The bomber was not a suspected terrorist and because most of the states in Arabia allow free (without needing a visa) movement of their citizens it was easy for the Kuwaiti bomber to just fly in, get picked up by another member of his support team who took him to the mosque and delivered any last minute instructions. Security cameras showed the bomber calmly walking into the mosque, stop near a large group of praying Shia and explode. The only positive thing to come out of all this was that police were able to quickly connect many of the usual suspects (people already identified as potential problems) to this attack, arrest them and begin interrogations and prosecutions.

The form that the defence against the Sunni jihadists is taking is also plain. At every intersection, on every wall, on every corner, the banners of Iraq’s Shia militias blare out their allegiance. The slogan “At your service, O Hussein” — referring to the greatest martyr of the Shiites, killed by the Sunni Ummayads at the battle of Karbala in 680 AD — is everywhere. It is there next to the countless banners and posters of Hussein’s serene, bearded visage that one sees all around. It is there, too, amid the ubiquitous militia billboards, alongside pictures of ayatollahs Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, Mohammed al-Sadr and Ali al-Sistani.
The same Shia sectarian slogan can be glimpsed on the wall of the Iraqi Army checkpoint on the road from the airport. At your service, o Hussein. That is to say, the defence of Baghdad against Islamic State is not taking place in the name of Iraq. The men doing the fighting and dying are there as Shiites. This applies even to many or most of those wearing the uniforms of the official Iraqi Security Forces.

As Turkish prime minister (now president) Recep Tayyip Erdogan famously said, “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers.” And he wasn’t kidding — but he left out “armories”, because mosques serve that function, too.

Recent revelations concerning the endemic sexual grooming of British girls by Muslim men demonstrate how crippling political correctness is, and how it complements the most abusive elements of Islamic law, or Sharia.
According to a June 24 report by the Birmingham Mail, as far back as March 2010, West Midlands Police knew that Muslim grooming gangs “were targeting children outside schools across the city—but failed to make the threat public.”

This all began because Sunni Islam is what the majority (over 80 percent) of Moslems practice and in Arabia itself (where Islam first appeared in the 7th century) the locals believe they are more Islamic than other Moslems. After all, the Koran was written in Arabic and all the founders of Islam were Arabs. Yet for over a thousand years there has been a tradition of different factions in Arabia trying outdo each other to prove who is “more Islamic” than each other. This led to constant fighting and suppression of new ideas. One of those fanatic factions is the Wahhabi form of Sunni Islam in what is now Saudi Arabia. Wahhabis, who first appeared in the 18th century, are very conservative and very hostile to non-Moslems and Moslems who are not Sunni.
This meant little to the non-Moslem world until lots of oil wealth appeared in Arabia after World War II. Suddenly it became possible for Moslems to show how pious they were by funding Wahhabi missionaries who went to other Moslem (and many non-Moslem) nations and to preach, establish Wahhabi religious schools and mosques and create the current Islamic terrorism problem. Billions were (and still are) spent on this and the policy of getting the young boys into these free religious schools and turning many of them into hateful (towards anyone not like them) Islamic religious fanatics led to a major outbreak of Islamic terrorism in the late 20th century. Saddam had kept this out of Iraq until 1991. Many secular rules of Moslem countries (like Syria and Libya) had also resisted the Wahhabi missionaries and money.

“The danger of more attacks during Ramadan is considerable,” opines the Near East expert Karin Kneissl after the terrorist murders in Tunisia and France. And she has doubts about the official version of the tragedy in Graz. “The additional knife attacks took me aback.”
“Ramadan is not a month of ceasefire. No. The Islamic fasting month is a time of emphasizing strength,” the Near East expert reminds us in her conversation with KRONE about the situation in Iraq. “Starting in 2005, we have the first bloody attacks during Ramadan in Iraq. Always after incitement by preachers.”

Most serious are “at least 485 killings involving members of higher education communities in 18 countries”. Some were completely indiscriminate, as when gunmen affiliated with Somali militant group Al Shabaab forced their way on to the campus of Garissa University College in Kenya, asked students whether they were Muslim or Christian, and shot at least 142, along with three security officers and two university security personnel.
Yet the report also draws attention to a number of far more targeted murders. Muhammad Shakil Auj, “an outspoken and progressive religious scholar” who served as dean of Islamic studies at the University of Karachi, was killed by unidentified attackers. Many others have been “disappeared” or threatened with violence designed to keep them quiet, including Professor Mohammed Dajan of Palestine’s Al-Quds University, “accused of treason for leading a student trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Poland as part of a course in conflict resolution”.

Two news stories, each from a different side of the Atlantic, talk about the same thing but in different ways. The British Daily Mail has an article headed by a picture showing ISIS gunman Seifeddine Rezgui “with his AK47 – casually passing abandoned inflatables as a group of men keep their distance behind him”. Rezgui isn’t even holding his weapon at the ready. He knew the men only 10 yards behind him wouldn’t sprint the distance to tackle him.
He is walking with the confidence of a wolf among sheep.
One commenter wondered what Someone was doing while this ‘tragedy’ occurred. “How come there was an alarm raised, carrying that machine gun, it was obvious to the onlookers in the picture. Somebody could have prevented another tragedy in the name of this perverse and ancient religion.”
What did they care? He was just there to kill kufr. They were just there to watch.
The West is filled with millions of people like Alex, all of them waiting for Someone. They are the product of a multi-decade campaign to deliberately empty people of their culture; to actually make them ashamed of it. They were purposely drained of God, country, family like chickens so they could be stuffed with the latest narrative of the progressive meme machine. The Gramscian idea was to produce a blank slate upon which the Marxist narrative could be written.
Too bad for the Gramscians that the Islamists are beating them to the empty sheets of paper. And they are better at it too. Maybe the old Bolsheviks could have given ISIS a run for its money, but today’s liberals have declined from their sires.

Crowds of young men were filmed using crowbars to break into lorries queuing to get into the Channel port.
The figures show migrants were stowing away in cars and trucks at a rate of 90 an hour.
But the true figure will be considerably higher, as many made it through borders and as far as Bedfordshire before being caught. It has raised fears many more could be on our shores without police knowledge.
Ten migrants were found in the back of a lorry parked in Folkstone, Kent, at about 4.30pm yesterday.
They were sent to Dover Immigration Centre where they are now under their care.
Seven suspected illegal immigrants were arrested at Toddington Services on the M1 in Bedfordshire. One told reporters he had come from Sudan wanting to go to a British university.
With nearly 400 more migrants reaching Calais every week to add to the 4,000 already camping out and waiting for the chance to slip into Britain, truckers leaders called on the French authorities to do more to protect their members.
Good luck with that.
Maybe they ought to build a fence. Look at how well that worked for the U.S. (Oh, wait….)

Islamic terrorists have found powerful allies among leftist activists and journalists in the United States and Europe. These groups first appeared in the 1930s providing support for the Soviet Union. Some of these groups later evolved into progressive and pro-Soviet organizations (like the National Lawyers Guild) during the Cold War. They found that lawfare was a highly effective ideological weapon in a country like the United States. When the Cold War ended and the Soviet Union disappeared these organizations, and people like lawyers Michael Ratner and Ramsey Clark, maintained good relations with the remaining communist dictatorships, especially Cuba, and continued their war on America. The basic drill of these groups is right out of the old Soviet playbook. That is, using support for worthy causes like civil rights, clean government and environmentalism as camouflage. This plus an exaggerated sense of righteousness is used to pursue a program that seeks to make their own foreign policy, including counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence policy. This is done using lawfare to enact laws in the United States via the courts rather than the legislature. Often, the only goal is to simply oppose whatever the government position is. The Soviet Union may be dead, but many of its biggest fans are not. Oppose them and you are called a racist, fascist and worse.

Three culture-enriching “British” sisters have decamped from Albion for the sunny sands of Syria. Given that it is in the throes of a particularly bloody civil war, Syria is not currently the most popular holiday destination, so we must assume that the lure of the Islamic State is what drew the Dawood sisters to contract with people smugglers to get them across the border from Turkey. And one of the sisters indicated as much to other members of her family: she was fed up with the filthy, impure infidel environment of Modern Multicultural Britain, and longed to make hijra to the Caliphate.
What makes their situation out of the ordinary is that the Dawood sisters took their children along with them, nine of them, based on the account given in the news video below. This is big news in Britain at the moment, the most sensational tear-jerker to hit the media in recent months.
But wait, there’s more:
Revealed: How Isis Sisters Used British Benefits To Pay For Trip To Join Terrorists
The whole reason all these immigrants are killing themselves (so to speak) to get to Britain is that Britain, under successive Labour governments, has a hold-your-hands-out benefits system under which more and more people are rationally deciding that it makes no sense to hold down a job. Those who look fondly on the Democrite desire to establish such a system here ought to take note where such a system leads (but won’t — Oh, It Can’t Happen Here).

Norway, supplied with information on known Islamic terrorists, compared that list with one of the most recent Moslem refugees it had accepted and found at least ten of these asylum seekers had an Islamic terrorist background. Similar discoveries are being made in other countries that accept these refugees via a UN resettlement program. For over a year intelligence agencies have been warning Western governments that ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) and other Islamic terror groups have been sending members along with refugees entering, often illegally, Europe and the West in general. Despite this risk the United States has been the major participant in this resettlement program for Moslem refugees. At the same time the U.S. refuse to accept most Syrian and Iraqi Christian refugees.
One of the primary sources for these ISIL infiltrators is the flood of illegal migrants travelling by boat from Libya to Italy. For ISIL, taking control of this people smuggling was a natural as it brought in cash and so much money was being made (over a thousand dollars per passenger) that there was enough profit for the gangsters (in Libya and Italy and elsewhere) as well as ISIL. The cash (several hundred thousand dollars a day for ISIL) pays smugglers to bring in food and equipment, as well as weapons and explosives that cannot be obtained (stolen or bought) locally. ISIL also finds that it can send ISIL men to Europe in the refugee boats and European counter-terrorism agencies are beginning to detect this. In part because ISIL profits most from the people smuggling the rival Tripoli and Tobruk governments both interfere with the smuggling operations more frequently. This forces some of the smuggler operations to move to ISIL controlled ports. There aren’t too many of those, but enough to keep the smuggling going.

The suspected mastermind behind the murders of six people in a restaurant in Paris’ Jewish quarter more than 30 years ago has been arrested in Jordan, French officials have revealed.
Paris prosecutors alleged that Souhaur Al-Abbassi, also known as Amjad Atta, was the “supervisor” of the horrific attack on Chez Jo Goldenberg in the Marais district of the French capital in August 1982.
Between three and six people threw grenades and fired machine guns into the restaurant, which had about 50 customers inside. As they escaped, the gunmen also shot at passersby. Six people, including two Americans, were killed and 22 were injured.

In the last week of May, the Qatar-based Arabic news network Al-Jazeera polled its Arabic-language audience on the question: “Do you support the victories of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in your region?”
The results were shocking. Of the 56,881 Arabic-speaking respondents, a whopping 81% voted yes. The results of this online survey may not be scientific. But they do provide anecdotal evidence of what many see as a rise in the support of Islamism in the Arab Middle East, among Muslims in the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent, and in the diaspora in Britain and France.
On Monday, a 17-year-old Briton became that country’s youngest suicide bomber after he blew up a brand new SUV packed with explosives in the northern Iraqi town of Baiji. Talha Asmal had Arabized his name to Abu Yusuf al-Britani and is the latest young person used by jihadi Islamists as cannon fodder in their quest to establish an Islamic caliphate. This is laid out in sharia law, as a precursor to the Islamic Armageddon enshrined in Hadith literature, based on Prophet Mohammed’s prophesy.

Until the tragedy that came early in August 2014, the people who call themselves the Dâseni were little known to Westerners. These are the Yezidis, who mainly live in Iraq. Reviled as “devil worshippers” for centuries by their Muslim and Christian neighbors, they have endured 72 attempted genocides since 630 CE. After the predations of the “Islamic State” that number has increased to 74.
A Kurdish people in ethnicity, the Yezidis practice a distinctive religion that is neither Christian nor Muslim. Tradition states that it is one of the oldest in the world, and that they have been a presence in Mesopotamia “for more than 6,700 years.” During that long span of time Yezidism has incorporated elements of other faiths: Christian, Jewish, Muslim (Sufism), Zoroastrian, and Mandaean Gnostic. Like Hindus, the Yezidis have a caste system. Their tradition is hereditary and does not allow converts.
Most Muslims do not regard them as “People of the Book” since their traditions are oral, although some Iranians describe them as such based on their link to Zoroastrianism. Their apparent non-scriptural status is changing, however, as their core oral ‘texts’ (hymns or qawls) are written down “effectively transforming Yezidism into a scriptural religion,” according to a Yezidi source.

ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) has been updating its online training manuals to make it easier for potential recruits who want to join either in an ISIL controlled area or as a holy warrior in another country, including where they now live. Among the useful information available is advice on how to hide the fact that they are Moslems while in a non-Moslem country. This is vital if the recruit is to avoid arrest while preparing to travel to an ISIL base. The advice covers essentials, like appearance, meaning no beard or traditional Islamic clothing, always praying in private, training inconspicuously (paintball is particularly useful) and not wearing military clothing. Women are advised to wear a colorful headscarf (as the black one marks you as hard core). Much useful advice is given on how to raise money illegally and how to get it to ISIL without getting caught.
Practical and proven information on obtaining or making weapons is given as well as emphasis on how important physical and weapons training is. Potential recruits are urged to get in shape and learn martial arts if possible. There is also a lot of practical information about how to transport weapons and other contraband in such a way that is not noticed or if there is a search the hidden items are not discovered. There is also a lot of information on how to detect if you are being watched and how to escape surveillance. This includes useful information on obtaining and using false ID.

The publicly-funded University of Bath has hosted what it calls a conference on “Understanding Conflict,” featuring a number of controversial speakers. They include Norman Finkelstein, who has publicly stated that “every victory by Hezbollah over Israel is also a victory for liberty and a victory for freedom,” and Moazzam Begg, the leader of the infamous CAGE group, which called ISIS murderer Jihadi John a “beautiful young man.”
The three-day conference, which began on Monday, was opened by David Miller, whose now-defunct NeoConEurope website previously hosted anti-Semitic articles. Miller is also the sometime editor of the SpinWatch website, which draws together a broad conspiracy theory about ‘NeoCons’ and ‘Zionists’ – coincidentally, two core themes of the University of Bath conference this week.
Speakers at the conference, which was hosted in the Chancellors’ Building, travelled from all across the world. It is unclear whether public money was spent on flights and accommodation for the speakers, though it is common practice for the hosting organisation to cover such costs.
This means the likes of Moazzam Begg, a former Guantanamo detainee, and Anas Al-Tikriti, the president of the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Cordoba Foundation, may be on the receiving end of taxpayer- and tuition-funded hospitality.

U.S. combat troops and trainers left Iraq in December 2011, but left behind a Marine embassy guard attachment for the U.S. embassy in Baghdad—the largest in the world—and up to 5,000 private military contractors for security and training purposes. Notably, Congress never revoked the authorization for the use of military force in Iraq it passed in 2002, although the Obama administration hasn’t found it necessary to invoke since sending troops back to Iraq in 2014. Instead, current military action against ISIS falls under “Operation Inherent Resolve,” which the administration claims is covered by the 2001 authorization for the use of military force against Al-Qaeda and associated forces, passed in the wake of Al Qaeda’s September 11 terrorist attacks. The Obama administration has sought a new, what it says is limited, authorization for the use of military force against ISIS. Congress appears interested neither in passing such authorization nor in stopping the actions that authorization is supposed to retroactively apply to.

Because of the participation of so many foreign troops in the recent defeat of Boko Haram it was possible to gather more evidence of civilians killed by soldiers and police who simply shot at every young man in sight or rounded up men and killed many of them when they could not provide any information about Boko Haram, or simply to “avenge” recently killed soldiers or policemen. Boko Haram got its start, in part, because of this murderous behavior by the security forces and general knowledge of this has increased public pressure to force the security forces to change their ways. The new president agrees that it is time, but how do you do that in the middle of a war?

Muslim loyalty is to the Ummah first and only incidentally to whatever country they happen to be living in.
As widely reported in the media about ten days ago, a special forces commander in Tajikistan named Gulmurod Khalimov recently defected to the Islamic State. Col. Khalimov has now made a propaganda video for ISIS calling on his Tajik co-religionists, especially soldiers, to give up their positions and make hijra to the Caliphate. He makes a special point of targeting his ethnic comrades who are serving in the Russian military.
And this is not just some inconsequential no-account soldier: Gulmurod Khalimov was in a high-level position with the Tajik government before he defected, and had been trained in the United States.
“Experts” say that Col. Khalimov is “likely not an immediate threat to coalition forces.” However, they are overlooking what is actually going on here: the erstwhile OMON commander is aiming his call directly at ethnic Tajiks in both Tajikistan and the Russian military. That is, it is not an invasion by ISIS that is the “immediate threat”, but a sudden explosion of jihad within the ranks of our “staunch ally” Tajikistan — or in the Russian army.
By the way: do you think Gulmurod Khalimov is a “moderate Muslim”? He must have been when he was stationed in Baton Rouge — otherwise we wouldn’t have been training him, would we?
But he’s working for ISIS now. Does that make him an “extremist”? If so, how was he radicalized? On the Internet, right?

This is a war between Sunni and Shia forces over the ruins of the regional order. It is a war which is unlikely to end in the wholesale victory of one or another of the sides. Rather, it will end when the two forces exhaust themselves. What the region will look like when this storm passes is anyone’s guess.
When Muslims are killing other Muslims rather than killing us, my dominant emotion is relief.
In the Revolutionary Guards Corps and its Qods Force, the Iranians possess an instrument perfectly designed for the current moment in the region. This force is a gathering of professional revolutionaries whose specific trade is the mobilizing and direction of proxy political-military organizations.

Ironically, as the PR campaigners put out posters telling the world that Turkey was “Home of Christianity,” crowds of Islamic religious “imam school” graduates gathered in Istanbul and issued a press statement demanding that the historic Hagia Sophia Church function as a mosque:
The Hagia Sophia, for us, is not just a prayer house; it symbolizes, together with the Conqueror’s (Sultan Mehmed II) heritage, our independence… Without it being opened to (Muslims) prayers, there is no way we, the Turkish nation, can be fully independent.
The story of Hagia Sophia is a sad one. Its Christian builders could never imagine that the country that would host it centuries later would never feel “independent” unless it was converted into a mosque.

Cheating already? According to an IAEA report released Friday, Iran’s nuclear stockpiles have grown by 20 percent over the last 18 months, despite the Obama Administration’s claim that Tehran’s program was “frozen” during that time. The Administration now finds itself with an even harder sell to make: convincing Congress and America’s wary allies that Iran will get rid of 96 percent of its stockpile in only a few months following the conclusion of a deal.

For ISIL even the threat of civilian losses to air strikes had proved a valuable asset in Syria and Iraq. In this respect ISIL is benefitting from pioneering work done by the Afghan Taliban to make it more difficult for Western air forces to use their smart bombs and superior sensors to find and cripple Islamic terrorists on the ground. American, Iraqi and other Arab leaders are complaining that the restrictive American ROE (Rules Of Engagement) are and how these rules severely limits the number of targets that can be hit. As a result ISIL can move around more freely despite the constant presence of coalition aircraft overhead.

Muslim demands for non-Muslim “infidels” to pay jizya on pain of death are growing, even as the West fluctuates between having no clue what jizya is and thinking that jizya is an example of “tolerance” in Islam.

A Catholic church in Brampton, a suburb west of Toronto, was vandalized by a culturally enriched young fellow named Iqbal Hessan. Based on surveillance videos, Mr. Hessan damaged and desecrated St. Catherine of Siena church. And he also told police investigators that he wanted to kill a priest.
So what did the magistrate do? Why, he let the miscreant out on bail, of course!
Ah, those wacky Canadians.

The Ontario high school system has a rule: if you’re a girl who can compete successfully in a sport that’s normally all-boys, and your school doesn’t have a girls’ team for that sport, you may participate on a boys’ team.
Sounds sensible. Unless you’re a Muslim, that is. Then it violates your freedom of religion, and opposing teams must remove the girls from their ranks so your boys won’t be made unclean by contact with them.
The sidelining of the girls on this high school soccer team was actually voluntary — the coach didn’t force the girls to sit out the game, he just played on their sense of guilt by invoking the welfare of the team. Which is actually worse, in a way: as Vlad points out, the coach, like other cultural and political leaders throughout the West, is pre-emptively surrendering to Islam by complying with the tenets of sharia law.
I guess dhimmitude trumps feminism. Who knew?

Someone organized a protest outside a Phoenix mosque today. Jon Ritzheimer has been critical of Islam, and says that criticism led to death threats, so he organized a protest outside of a mosque in Phoenix tonight, asking supporters to come armed but remain peaceful. That protest may include a draw Mohammed contest. Phoenix’s mayor condemned the contest and protest as “purposefully provocative,” saying he wasn’t happy it was happening while admiting protesters had the right to free speech. Would he have made the same comment if a Slut Walk were organized in his city?
Of course not.
Counter-protesters showed up for a “love in,” and the cops showed up to stand in the middle and “keep the peace.” Authorities say they’re not worried about the protest getting violent, unless outsiders infiltrate it, a common refrain. A group of bikers was supposed to meet a nearby Denny’s before joining the protest, so the Denny’s closed. Police say they’ve installed cameras around the mosque to monitor the protest.
What, no Muslims traveling across country to shoot the place up? Well, there’s one difference.

In his report yesterday on the latest OSCE conference, Henrik Ræder Clausen included this summary of a dominant meme among ideological leaders in the West:
Panel members stressed the importance of not calling the Islamic State the “Islamic State”, for doing so could give the impression that Islam motivates people to war, terrorism and other crimes.
The avoidance of the I-word seems to have become a fixation in the revolving-door world of NGOs and state functionaries, particularly in Europe. It’s as if all the participants have been mysteriously hypnotized, and now wander around glassy-eyed, muttering the phrase “nothing to do with Islam” over and over again, their repetitive chant forming a background susurrus at every international function where important people assemble to hand down momentous policy decisions.
