A man charged on Wednesday with allegedly hijacking a plane in Canada also appeared to post on Facebook that he is the “messiah sent to save humanity from climate change,” according to local reports and police.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) charged 39-year-old Shaheer Cassim with one count of hijacking after he “acted with an ideological motive,” allegedly threatened a flight instructor and hijacked a plane before landing at Victoria International Airport (YVR), according to the RCMP website. The former commercial pilot allegedly posted on his social media and personal blog that the “angel Gabriel” gave him a “message from Allah” that the Arctic Sea ice is melting and will soon “turn Earth into Venus.”

“Investigators have determined the suspect acted with an ideological motive to disrupt airspace,” Sergeant Tammy Lobb, media relations officer with the Canadian Federal Policing Pacific Region said. “Thankfully, no one was injured during this incident.” (RELATED: ‘Palantir Powers ICE’: Climate Libs Arrested After Blocking Office Entrance)

The RCMP and YVR did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for comment. Cassim could not be reached.

New disturbing images emerging Wednesday show dozens of dead civilians strewn about the floor at the National Hospital of Suwayda. The images seem authentic and verified, as Syria expert Joshua Landis of the University of Oklahoma has described that a regime soldier in the aftermath filmed the results of the massacre while proclaiming “God is Great” and that there has been ‘victory’ over the Druze there.

Violent knife attacks in Vienna’s Favoriten district have sparked outrage in Austria, but the interior minister has defended his response.

On June 16th, a man was robbed of his wallet at Reumannplatz. Two perpetrators stabbed the victim with a knife and seriously injured him. Two courageous men who tried to intervene were also injured. Several attackers, aged between 16 and 24 and identified as Syrian nationals, have since been named in connection with the case.

Similar incidents include two separate assaults on June 20th at Keplerplatz and Senefeldergasse, which left three men—aged 19, 26, and 38—wounded. One of the attackers was a 19-year-old Syrian.

At the beginning of June, a 33-year-old Syrian was slightly injured, and another Syrian suffered a stab in the stomach in May.

Despite the district’s established weapons ban zone, in place since March 2024, such violent crime has persisted, prompting growing alarm.

Among all the painfully leftist governments in Europe the leadership of Spain is often cited as the worst. In 2023, Ipsos published a report conducted in collaboration with King’s College London and The Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, indicating that Spain is the European country with the highest level of “self-identified feminists” and a strong “awareness of gender inequality”. In other words, the country is doomed to suffocate from the stupidity of far-left politics.

An academic center at Georgetown University that sits within its prestigious School of Foreign Service has a history of fostering support for Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Islamist groups, a Washington Free Beacon review found.

Georgetown’s Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU), founded in 1993, has hosted scholars sympathetic to Islamism since its inception. John Esposito, the center’s founder and a professor of religion and international affairs and of Islamic studies at Georgetown, has long defended terrorist groups and collaborated with jihadist figures.

As the Free Beacon reported in June, approximately 25 percent of all graduates from the ACMCU—which operates within the School of Foreign Service—enter government positions around the world after receiving their degrees. The ACMCU’s history appears likely to draw congressional scrutiny during a Tuesday morning House Education and Workforce Committee hearing featuring Georgetown interim president Robert Groves, as does the funding it has received from the Muslim Brotherhood-linked International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT).

When Israeli strikes hit Iran on June 13, it wasn’t only nuclear sites and senior Iranian commanders that were taken out: A covert army of bots meddling in British politics went dark, too.

That’s according to Cyabra, a Tel Aviv-based disinformation detection company that uncovered the operation.

For 16 days, the network — which began operating in May — vanished, according to Cyabra’s report published last week. No posts, no replies, no trace of the 1,300 fake profiles that had posed as British users and fueled online debate around Scottish independence, Brexit and institutional collapse.

The accounts had already reached more than 200 million people through over 3,000 posts, the company said.

Torre Pacheco, Aranda de Duero, Almería, Torrevieja. Four names that, in recent days, have been added to Spain’s map of public outrage. The spark ignited in the Murcian town of Torre Pacheco, where a 68-year-old man was brutally beaten in broad daylight by a group of Maghrebi immigrants, allegedly just “for fun.” The assault has triggered an explosion in a pressure cooker that has been simmering for years: illegal squatting, drug trafficking, threats, machetes, and crime entrenched with near-impunity in many Spanish neighborhoods.

For three consecutive nights, residents of Torre Pacheco have taken to the streets, fed up with being ignored by authorities. Groups of local youths mobilized to find those responsible for the attack, while gangs of illegal immigrants responded armed with knives, sticks, and machetes. The result: riots, police charges, burning trash containers, reciprocal assaults, and six arrests—five Spaniards and one of Maghrebi origin.

The security operation deployed by the Civil Guard and Local Police, reinforced by special units, has served more to shield migrant-heavy neighborhoods than to restore calm to a terrified population. The Government’s delegate in Murcia, Mariola Guevara, has insisted that “racist behavior” will not be tolerated, while failing to condemn the attack on the elderly man that started it all.

On June 26th, the Turkish satirical magazine LeMan published a cartoon that featured a city that appears to be Gaza. Islamists interpreted the figure of Mohammed in the cartoon to be Islam’s prophet Mohammed. In response, President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an’s regime and the country’s Islamists have started a witch hunt by arresting four employees of the magazine, including its editor-in-chief and the cartoonist, with a seizure order of the issue in which the cartoon was featured.

Istanbul’s Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched a judicial investigation into the magazine on the grounds that it “denigrated religious values.” An investigation was also launched into the magazine’s managers’ finances.

The cartoon in question depicts two people in the sky, identifying themselves as Mohammad and Moses while missiles rain down on buildings. One of the characters, Mohammad, says in Arabic, “Salaam alaikum (Peace be upon you), I am Mohammad,” to which Moses replies with the same phrase in Hebrew, “Shalom aleichem, I am Moses.”

Turkish government officials condemned the magazine in unison.

Jewish leaders on Thursday called on the School District of Philadelphia to take action against an administrator who they say has “rationalize[d]” Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks against Israel.

The Philadelphia chapter of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and other Jewish groups wrote in a letter to the school district that they are “deeply troubled by a recently circulated video clip of Ismael Jimenez, Director of the Social Studies Curriculum for the School District of Philadelphia” in which he “appears to rationalize the Hamas-led massacre of Israeli civilians on Oct. 7.”

“In a time of heightened threats to Jewish communities, school leadership must take seriously any endorsement or rationalization of hate-fueled violence,” the letter continued. “To the School District: At what point does inaction become complicity?”

Across Europe, a new kind of politics is taking root. It is sectarian, identitarian, and increasingly shaped by the demands of Islamist interest groups, cloaked in the demands of progressivism and tolerance.

Sweden is a case in point. Jamal el-Haj, a Lebanese-born Swedish politician, was expelled from the Social Democratic Party last year after it was revealed he had intervened in an asylum case on behalf of a fundamentalist imam back in 2017. He had also previously attended a conference in Malmö in the spring of 2023 that had connections to Hamas, the Islamist terror group and perpetrators of the October 7th pogrom in southern Israel later that year.

Since being booted by the Social Democrats, el-Haj has been busy crafting a new party that better suits his beliefs. Paperwork dated from last month shows that el-Haj registered the creation of the so-called Unity Party, which he deems necessary to represent “the many who no longer recognise themselves in today’s Sweden,” especially those of migrant origin. El-Haj has so far maintained that the party will be secular, stressing that the Unity Party is aimed at “the entire Swedish population—not just Muslims or immigrants.” It will rather focus on international solidarity, humanism, environmental responsibility, and economic equality. Pro-Palestine activism will also no doubt play a leading role. Despite claims of the party being based around purely secular values, it has been noted that el-Haj held numerous meetings with imams, some in his home, about its formation. The organisation’s inner circle also comprises primarily Muslim religious leaders.

The Free Library of Philadelphia, which receives both state and federal funding, has scheduled at least six “Palestine Storytime & Crafts” events this summer sponsored by an extremist anti-Israel group called Families for Ceasefire Philly.

The Kingsessing Library, for instance, has advertised one storytime event on its website alongside a photo of a child wearing a headscarf that features an image of the Dome of the Rock and the Arabic phrase, “Jerusalem, we are coming,” a slogan Hamas and Hezbollah use to call for the destruction of the Jewish state. The library advertises the event—scheduled for Aug. 9—as being for “children of all ages.”

Germany continues to experience a sharp rise in immigration through family reunification, with more than half a million foreigners having entered the country via this route since 2020. This year, the number is expected to exceed 100,000, with Syrians and Turks making up the largest share.

According to the Federal Foreign Office, around 57,000 visas for family reunification were issued in the first half of this year alone. Most of these visas were granted to Syrian (9,000), Turkish (8,500), and Indian (5,000) individuals.

In response to the growing numbers, the Bundestag recently approved a partial suspension of family reunification rights for certain groups of foreign nationals. Specifically, the suspension affects relatives of individuals with subsidiary protection status, and the restriction will remain in place for two years.

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU) defended the regulation in parliament, stating that while Germany remains open to the world, there are limits to what its social systems can handle.

The Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday it eliminated the Hamas terrorist who led the Oct. 7, 2023, infiltration of a gas station near Kibbutz Magen.

Taha Abu Ayadeh, identified as a platoon commander in Hamas’s elite Nukhba Force, was killed in a July 1 attack in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza, according to the IDF.

He “infiltrated Israeli territory during the brutal October 7th massacre and led the infiltration of the gas station in Kibbutz Magen,” the military stated. “In addition, throughout the war, Abu Ayadeh advanced and led numerous terrorist attacks, including several attacks in the last few weeks against IDF troops operating in the Khan Yunis area.”

A new meeting of the defence council dedicated to the issue of the Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of French society was held on Monday, July 7th, at the request of President Emmanuel Macron. The president called for a law to be passed this summer, with increasing administrative and financial penalties for organisations supported by the Brotherhood.

The meeting was convened following the publication of a widely noted report on the growing infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood into all spheres of French society. After the report was published, the government outlined some initial responses, which the president deemed completely inadequate. The July defence council was therefore intended to draw up new proposals to “strengthen the measures aimed at combatting separatism,” in reference to the law “reinforcing respect for the principles of the Republic” passed on August 24th, 2021, during Macron’s first term. The minister of the interior, the minister of national education, and the minister of sport were present.

In a press conference, Macron announced that new financial and administrative sanctions would be introduced. He called for a bill to be drafted and passed before the end of the summer, for implementation before the end of the year.

I predict that the Muslim Brotherhood will win this one.

A Muslim media watchdog is accused of trying to silence legitimate journalism by filing politically driven and baseless complaints against media content it disagrees with.

Andrew Gilligan and Dr Damon Perry outline their findings in a new report, Bad Faith Actor: A study of the Centre for Media Monitoring (CfMM), which can be downloaded here. The CfMM claims that UK media—especially newspapers—are a major driver of “Islamophobia.” But the authors point out that of the many complaints CfMM has submitted to the presswatchdog IPSO, only one has ever resulted in a correction.

The CfMM, which is linked to the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), has made several controversial complaints, such as:

• Arguing it was “misleading” to describe ISIS executioner Mohammed Emwazi (“Jihadi John”) as a terrorist, since he hadn’t been formally convicted;
• Including factual coverage of Islamist terror attacks in its statistic claiming 60% of media output is “Islamophobic”;
• Targeting GB News and journalist Charlie Peters for reporting accurately on the ethnic background of grooming gang members;
• Objecting to fictional TV portrayals of Muslim characters who drink, reject the hijab, or are gay.

A German court ruled on Tuesday, July 8th, that the government must issue visas to an Afghan family previously accepted under a programme for those at risk after the Taliban seized power in 2021.

The new government under Chancellor Friedrich Merz has frozen the programme, but Berlin’s administrative court said the family had been given a “legally binding” commitment and must be allowed to travel to Germany.

The family—consisting of fourteen people—is currently in Pakistan and had lodged an urgent appeal, saying they were about to be deported to Afghanistan, “where they would be in fear for their lives.”

The family was given approval to come to Germany in 2023 under the programme.

According to the German foreign office, around 2,400 people with a commitment to be admitted to Germany are currently waiting for visas in Pakistan.

A recent investigation by Der Spiegel uncovered widespread fraud in German resettlement schemes, as the government allowed thousands of migrants to enter the country with fake documents and fabricated stories.

Hamas has placed active bounties on American aid workers in Gaza and has demanded that the United States cease all humanitarian operations as a ceasefire condition, according to a State Department cable obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Hamas, the State Department disclosed in a June 30 cable sent from the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem, has “formally placed bounties” on U.S. and Palestinian workers with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a joint U.S.-Israeli aid effort formed in February to replace the Hamas-friendly United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The bounties imperil “Palestinian workers and the U.S. security contractors helping to protect the GHF distribution sites,” the cable reads.

The cable, marked “sensitive but unclassified,” confirms a Free Beacon report from June outlining Hamas’s plans to attack American aid distribution centers and pull the United States into direct conflict with Palestinian militant factions. The embassy sent the cable over the State Department’s internal system shortly before Hamas injured two American workers in a Saturday terror attack on a food distribution outpost in Gaza’s Khan Younis neighborhood.

As Britain’s official events to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the July 7th attack on London trundled on, two trends became increasingly apparent. Firstly, the official message was hammered home: “we will not let these people—the suicide bombers—divide us.” Secondly, the people paying attention became increasingly divided from the government itself.

7/7 itself was the second most lethal single terror attack on British territory—the worst being the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988—inflicting 52 fatalities, Uniquely at the time, the mass casualty assault on London was known to have been initiated by at least four British citizens, three of them born in England.

But Muslims nevertheless. “Birthright citizenship” in the absence of meaningful assimilation merely harbors serpents in your bosom.

The problem is that the 52 dead didn’t simply ‘lose their lives’ as if a particularly virulent strain of influenza hit them: they were murdered by Islamists.

A disturbing report from a Hamburg elementary school has revealed growing Islamist pressure on children in German classrooms, with one young girl allegedly assaulted and humiliated for refusing to wear a headscarf.

In the BR podcast Kaffee extra Schwarz, journalist Oliver Mayer-Rüth described how Muslim pupils at a school in Hamburg’s Steilshoop district told a German girl her uncovered blonde hair was “haram”—forbidden under Islamic law—and demanded she cover it. When she refused, she was beaten on several occasions. According to her mother, classmates also said she did not belong at the school because of her appearance.

The podcast, co-hosted by Arab-born Islam critic Ahmed Mansour, also relayed allegations that several parents and even some teachers had openly praised the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre of Israeli civilians. At a school event, an Afghan father reportedly spoke positively about the Taliban regime.

After the first few months, one of Germany’s pilot projects—requiring unemployed asylum seekers to enroll in community service or have their social benefits cut—has produced abysmal results, as every other migrant with work obligations refused to show up, despite the incentives and threat of sanctions.

The data was reported by Udo Recktenwald, the CDU district administrator of St. Wendel in Saarland, which joined three other CDU-led districts this spring in expanding a program launched last year, hoping to serve as a successful integration model that could be later implemented across the country.

The idea is that asylum seekers who are issued compulsory community service hours would be more compelled to find actual jobs, accelerating their integration into German society. Regularly showing up for the service (such as maintaining public parks) is also incentivized through preferential access to German language classes, while disregarding the order carries the risk of having their social benefits cut or eliminated.

In Berlin, immigrants can now complete the naturalization process entirely online, without ever having to appear in person at government offices. According to Bild, the capital has ”completely digitized” the process, eliminating even basic requirements such as proof of language proficiency and identity verification.

While migrants in other German federal states are still required to undergo in-person screening, Berlin authorities typically only meet applicants after they have already received their naturalization certificate. The State Office for Immigration told Bild that ”even a separate interview for identity verification or a language test before the decision on naturalization can generally be omitted.”

From January to June 2025, a total of 20,060 migrants became German citizens in Berlin—more than double the total for the entire year of 2023. This sharp increase has drawn criticism from other states. A spokesperson for the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior told Bild that ”individual procedural steps of the naturalization process are strictly tied to a personal appearance.”

Overall, the trend in Germany is clearly moving towards more naturalizations. In 2024, more people were granted German citizenship than in any year since uniform registration began in 2000. According to data from 13 federal states obtained by Welt am Sonntag, a total of 249,901 individuals were naturalized in those states alone.

As demographics and cultures change through mass immigration, so do names.  This pattern can also be recognised in other big European countries—for example, England or Germany—that have seen a large influx of migration from non-European countries.

In Brussels, Mohamed is the most common first name for newborn boys, followed by the variant Mohammed. Jean, Ahmed, and David also rank among the top five. For girls, Maria and Marie remain popular, but Fatima appears in third place, followed by Anne and Sarah—a reflection of the city’s diverse population.

This variety is also seen in surnames. While names like Peeters, Janssens, and Maes are most common nationwide, the Brussels Region presents a different picture, with Diallo, Bah, Barry, Sow, and Nguyen leading, highlighting how the capital’s demographic landscape continues to change.

Demonstrations against Israel have consumed much of the budgets of UK police forces since the October 7th pogrom, reporting has confirmed.

The Jewish Chronicle submitted a Freedom of Information request to British police forces, revealing that to date over £59 million (€68.4 million) was spent on policing ‘pro-Palestine’ hate marches—with a whopping £57 million used up by London’s beleaguered Metropolitan Police alone. ?Greater Manchester Police got through £1.7 million.

Commentators have pointed out constructive alternative ways of spending the money; other observers are shocked at how since the first protest—planned during the antisemitic massacre in 2023—blatant lawbreaking has been a normal feature of the demonstrations in London and elsewhere. In contrast to the hands-off approach of various police forces when faced with Palestine marches, they have taken a tough line with pro-Israel counterdemonstrators, such as those declaring Hamas is a terrorist organization (which is supposedly the position of the UK legal system too).

There may be changes in the approach taken by police following the proscription of the Palestine Action Group—29 of whose supporters were arrested for displaying its placards over the weekend—but this is also likely to further push up costs.

Greek authorities rescued over 750 migrants in the waters south of Crete and the nearby island of Gavdos over the weekend, highlighting the island’s growing role as a key destination in Mediterranean migration routes.

According to the coast guard, 430 people were found aboard a large vessel south of Gavdos, while another 96 were rescued off southern Crete. The migrants—primarily from Egypt, Bangladesh, and North African countries—had departed from eastern Libya.

In another incident, footage released by officials showed dozens jumping into the sea from an overloaded speedboat in a desperate attempt to reach the shore.

These incidents reflect a sharp shift in migratory patterns. Crete, once largely bypassed by smugglers, is now becoming a primary landing point. In the first half of 2025, arrivals to Crete have already surpassed the total for all of 2024, with over 6,500 recorded.

Prompted by military losses and shifting regional geopolitics, the Lebanese political and militant group Hezbollah is considering a major strategic shift that would see the group undertake a major disarmament, Reuters has reported, citing three sources familiar with the group’s deliberations.

In solidarity with Gaza, Hezbollah began attacking Israel on the day after the Oct 7 2023 Hamas invasion of Israel, but suffered mightily for doing so. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) hammered Lebanon with airstrikes and then an invasion. In September 2024, Israel unleashed a devious mass attack on Hezbollah members, detonating thousands of pagers that Israeli intelligence had loaded with the explosive PETN. Nearly 3,000 people were wounded and at least a dozen killed, including two children. That same month, an Israeli airstrike killed the group’s leader for 32 years, Hassan Nasrallah.

Pursuant to the November ceasefire that ended its recent war with Israel, Hezbollah has turned over security responsibilities south of the Litani River to the Lebanese Armed Forces. Alongside that shift, the group has also handed over weapons depots in that part of the country, Reuters reports. Now the group’s leadership is considering a handover of its formidable missile and drone arsenal — which pose the greatest threat to Israel — provided Israel withdraws its remaining troops from southern Lebanon. Hezbollah would retain lighter weapons, including antitank missiles.

The UN on Friday, July 4, criticised a plan by Germany to deport criminals to Afghanistan, a day after the interior minister said he would seek direct contact with the Taliban over the issue.

Germany stopped deportations following the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, but the rise of nationalist and anti-illegal migration politicians has seen the topic rise up the agenda.

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said on Thursday he envisaged Germany “making agreements directly with Afghanistan to enable deportations.”

But Ravina Shamdasani, spokeswoman for the United Nations’ human rights office (OHCHR), told reporters in Geneva it was “not appropriate to return people to Afghanistan.”

Ultimate diversity has finally been achieved. London is now home to a school where not one of the pupils’ first languages is English. Welcome to Kobi Nazrul Primary School—named after the national poet of Bangladesh, but which curiously you find situated in London’s East End, just a stone’s throw from the East London Mosque (one of Europe’s largest), which comfortably accommodates 7,000 Muslims.

Anyone familiar with the English Monopoly board might be shocked to learn that, according to the 2021 Census, Whitechapel (the school’s locale) is home to a 51.3% Asian population. Of the school’s 243 pupils, 92.5% are Bangladeshi who speak Bengali as their first language. Ofsted apparently gave the school a ‘glowing’ report, coupled with a ‘good’ rating. But then, at least the school wasn’t ‘too white’—something to which Ofsted has previously objected.

The influx of Islam set against the backdrop of cockney London is striking. The Victorian terraced houses still stand, but the pie and mash shops and pubs frequented by the Kray twins are long gone. In their stead, Palestinian flags adorn the windows; ‘no ball games’ is written in both English and Bengali; and instead of ‘gangster chic’, abayas and thobes now throng the pavements.

After repeatedly refusing to change its immigration policy, the German government, through Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU), announced on Wednesday, July 2nd, its intention to negotiate directly with the Taliban in Afghanistan to facilitate the deportation of migrants, especially criminals.

This decision marks a drastic shift in German migration policy, which for years has insisted on allowing in hundreds of thousands of refugees.. According to Dobrindt, the country’s “integration capacity” has been “exceeded,” and the asylum numbers are unsustainable: in the past two years, Germany registered 600,000 asylum applications and took in 1.2 million Ukrainians.

The announcement comes amid growing domestic pressure. Centrist parties, led by the CSU, have criticized the migration management of previous governments, especially former Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens), who refused to deport even violent Afghan criminals. Baerbock, it should be recalled, traveled to Damascus before leaving office to meet with the new jihadist terrorist government’s head assuring him of Germany needing more Syrian immigrants.

As predicted, the total number of migrants known to have illegally crossed the English Channel by ‘small boat’ passed the benchmark figure of 20,000 on Tuesday, July 1st—surpassing the already excessive number reached this time last year.

Provisional figures for the previous day included 880 individuals, with overnight crossings taking the total number over the politically toxic 20K mark, indicating the failure of the Labour government to ‘Smash the Gangs’—just as PM Keir Starmer’s predecessor, hapless Rishi Sunak, failed to ‘Stop the Boats.’

To date, this year’s small boats contingent is equivalent, say, to twice the population of the Leicestershire suburb of Glenfield in the English East Midlands. All arrivals will require housing, typically delivered using hotels, while their asylum claims are processed.

At the time of writing, several other incoming boats were spotted in UK waters which, if successful, will mean that the total number of Channel migrant arrivals for the year will exceed 20,250 before July 2nd.

Continuing government failure to control the situation is likely to continue, even with the possibility of a deal with France in the days ahead.
