Hundreds of Nepalese women who emigrate to Arab countries in search of better jobs and wages, are unaccounted for. According to husbands and relatives they become victims of prostitution and slavery. The migrants who manage to return, show signs of physical exhaustion, injuries, psychological damage and are often infected with AIDS. To resolve this tragic situation, the Government of Nepal wants to block migration to Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan where most cases are registered. In 2010, 242 women emigrated for work and were never heard of again.

22-year old Zakariya “Zak” Boyd is the second defendant to enter into a guilty plea in the case of several men who plotted to wage violent jihad overseas. His father and cell ringleader Daniel Patrick Boyd pleaded guilty on Feb. 9 to one count conspiring to murder, kidnap and maim individuals in a foreign country in addition to one count of material support.

Well, ‘Boyd’ is Scottish, but what kind of a name is ‘Zakariya’?

According to a superseding indictment, Daniel Boyd trained for battle in terrorist camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Along his journey, he met Abdullah Azzam, a mentor of the now deceased al-Qaida head Osama bin Laden. Boyd then tried to pass his radical beliefs on to his own sons.

Daniel Boyd was recorded by the FBI preaching violence to his family. He told his sons Zak and Dylan, another co-defendant, that “the blood of Muslims has become cheap…because most of the Muslims have abandoned jihad.”

Oh. But I thought Muslim extremism was caused by poverty and despair among benighted foreigners?

Last week witnessed popular Muslim preacher Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini boast about how Islam allows Muslims to buy and sell conquered infidel women, so that “When I want a sex-slave, I go to the market and pick whichever female I desire and buy her.”

This week’s depraved anachronism comes from a Muslim woman—Salwa al-Mutairi, a political activist and former parliamentary candidate for Kuwait’s government, no less: She, too, seeks to “revive the institution of sex-slavery.”

All perfectly proper under Islam, which has no problem with slavery whatsoever.

The Kuwaiti female activist begins by insisting that “it’s of course true” that “the prophet of Islam legitimized sex-slavery.” She recounts how when she was in Mecca, Islam’s holiest city, she asked various sheikhs and muftis (learned, authoritative Muslims) about the legality of sex-slavery according to Sharia: they all confirmed it to be perfectly legal; Kuwaiti ulema further pointed out that extra “virile” men—Western synonymous include “sex-crazed,” “lecherous,” “perverted”—would do well to purchase sex-slaves to sate their appetites without sinning.

Your future under Islam. Don’t say that you weren’t warned.

A year ago, a University of California, Irvine investigation found that the Muslim Student Union (MSU) devised a plot to silence a speech by Israel’s ambassador and then lied about it to school administrators.

Prof Steve Jones, one of Britain’s most eminent scientists, has warned that the level of inbreeding among the nation’s Muslims is endangering the health of future generations.

Mubarak stepped down from power voluntarily. Would he have done so had he known that the new regime would put him on trial for the acts he took as president to preserve his rule? Of course not, he would have fought to the end. All leaders of Muslim countries have corrupt deals for personal gain and use force against people who threaten their regime. Putting on trial a former leader who voluntarily gave up his power assures that no Muslim leader in the future will ever voluntarily give up his power. Power will never change hands except when the former power possessor’s cold dead hands are pried from it.

Obviously Khaddafi learned from Mubarrak’s mistake. Of course, for the ideological, present revenge is important, future progress not so much.

An Afghan Air Corps pilot, angered by an argument with nine American trainers at Kabul airport, pulled a gun on the Americans, disarmed them and methodically killed them, officials said today.

The shooter then apparently shot and killed himself.

The Afghan military said the gunman was a 20 year veteran of the Afghan Air Corps who had gotten in an argument with the American trainers during a meeting in a conference room at the Afghan Air Force headquarters.

A U.S. official told ABC News they believe the pilot left the meeting after the argument, then returned and forced the Americans to remove their weapons before shooting them with a U.S. provided M9 semi-automatic weapon.

Must have been that ol’ Islamophobia getting him down.

This is the seventh time this year that coalition soldiers or Afghan security forces have been killed by either members of the Afghan security force or insurgents impersonating them.

A suicide bomber in an Afghan army uniform killed five foreign and four Afghan soldiers on Saturday at a sprawling desert base in the east of the country.

This just underlines the common anti-jihadist trope that there is no way to distinguish a Muslim who will blow you up from a Muslim who won’t. Killing non-Muslims is perfectly compatible with Islamic teaching, and for a substantial portion of the Muslim population a positive duty.

Security officials found the body of an Italian man who had been abducted in the Gaza Strip in an abandoned house overnight Thursday, a Hamas security official said.

In a You Tube clip the group posted online earlier Thursday, a Jihadist Salafi group in Gaza aligned with al Qaida had threatened to execute Italian rights activist Vittorio Arigoni by 17:00 local time (1400 GMT) unless their leader Hesham al-Sa’eedni, whom it detained last month, was freed.

Arrigoni, an Italian pacifist and blogger, has lived in the Gaza Strip for some time. He was shown blindfolded with blood around his right eye and a hand can be seen pulling his head up by his hair to face the camera.

Arrigoni came to the Gaza Strip on a boat bringing humanitarian supplies in 2008.
