In a previous article, I explained that “progressivism is a criminal mentality.” By progressivism, I mean every political philosophy that regards itself as “revolutionary,” or “transformative,” that describes itself as socialist, communist, fascist or jihadist – or that believes “the moral arc of the universe bends towards justice.” The belief that history is marching towards justice is a cult ideology refuted by the mass genocides of the modern era, which were carried out by Marxists and Nazis. The belief that the world is marching towards justice, that progressives are “on the right side of history” is a delusion that will justify any atrocity and already has.
That is why today’s progressives are advancing the same genocidal agendas that the West defeated in World War II and the Cold War. Led by the 98-member “Progressive Caucus” in Congress, and its racist leaders – Jamila Prayapal, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, AOC and Ayanna Presley – progressives are in full-throated support of the 75-year genocidal campaign conducted by the terrorist dictatorships in Gaza and the West Bank.1 The stated goal of Hamas and the Palestine Authority is the destruction of the Jewish state and the expulsion of its Jews. Even Hitler hid his plans for the Final Solution. But Hamas, the PLO and the Iranian mullahs trumpet their goal of ethnically cleansing a conquered Israel and rendering it Judenrein – Jew free. Nor is the hatred of these neo-Nazis confined to the Jews. “Death to America” is the preferred chant of their Iranian missile providers as well.

I won’t forget the China Bioweapon, ever, in part because now we know China develops bioweapons. The question remains whether they release them on purpose or by accident, but it’s settled that they develop bioweapons and they lie about them.
Also, I’m not inclined to forget about the conflict I saw paraded in front of me for two solid years. We don’t all agree about how a government works or how it’s supposed to operate. I think we elect leaders who we count on to make good decisions, and when they don’t, they’re accountable for the results. I think they’re like captains obliged to go down with the ship. I think, if there are bad consequences from wrong decisions, and these consequences loom larger for the governed than for those doing the governing, something is broken and it was already broken before the decisions turned out to be bad ones.

“It is the first domestic commercial unit with zero direct and indirect emissions. Currently, there are already units that use the same technology as ours, which is aerothermal energy, but they do not use a natural fluid such as propane in it. For this reason, our pump can heat homes being totally respectful with the environment, without emitting carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Furthermore, its high energy efficiency allows it to be classified as renewable energy, by pumping energy from the environment,” underlines José Gonzálvez, Director of the Thermal area at the University Institute for Research in Energy Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
Among its advantages, the heat pump developed by the UPV and Saunier Duval can also generate hot water for heating at temperatures of up to 75ºC with very high energy efficiency, something that is not possible with conventional heat pumps. Additionally, it can be installed not only in newly built buildings, but also to replace gas boilers in existing buildings. And it also allows the application of anti-legionella treatment without requiring external support.

For the most part, generational politics are a self-defeating enterprise, because you end up attacking your allies. It is hard to attack people about whom you know little, but it is easy to find fault with those you know well. Every generation strains against its parents and every generation strains to teach its children. This is why it has been encouraged among the majority populations in the West. It is an effective way of keeping a natural majority from forming up in opposition to the ruling elite.
That said, there is something useful to thinking generationally. Oswald Spengler relied upon a form of generational politics to put forth his theory of history. Of course, we have the old adage, “shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations”. This describes the inability of grandchildren to manage the wealth passed down to them from their grandparents and parents. This is Spengler’s argument in a nutshell. A civilization rises, accomplishes what it can and then falls into decline.
We are witnessing the end phase with the Global American Empire. It is not exactly a three generation cycle, but the basics are right. One theory of American history says the empire was founded at Gettysburg. That would mean the current generation of rulers is the fifth or sixth generation. On the other hand, some argue the Second World War is the founding of the empire, so that mean the third generation is in charge. The concept still works and is closer to the old adage.
The more things change, the more they’re the same thing, as the Frogs like to say.

Conspiracy theories aren’t dangerous when they get things wrong: they’re dangerous when they get things right.
QAnon—the online game of interdimensional chess in which Donald Trump does covert battle with a hyper-powerful cabal of monied pedophiles—is factually false in almost every particular. Justin Bieber is not sending a coded message about being sex trafficked because he touched his hat on Instagram. Donald Trump was not reinstated as president on August 13. And Comet Ping Pong pizza parlor does not have children locked up in its basement awaiting molestation by Hillary Clinton, for the simple reason that it does not have a basement.
But there are still people out there who believe, and this, according to CNN’s Oliver Darcy, has helped “to mainline the notion…that elites are sexual deviants seeking to exploit kids.” So the real threat of the Q mythos is its portrayal of American high society as a corrupt network of deranged predators. This is a problem, because it’s basically true.

Twenty-first-century America may be dominated by oligarchic elites, but arguably the biggest threat to our economic and political system might be located further down the food chain. This most dangerous class comes from the growing number of underemployed, overeducated people. They’re what has been described in Britain as the lumpenintelligensia: alienated, angry, and potentially agents of our social and political deconstruction.

Uchronia: The Alternate History List is a bibliography of more than 3400 novels, stories, essays, collections, and other printed material involving the “what ifs” of history. The genre has a variety of names, but it is best known as alternate history.
In an alternate history, one or more past events are changed and the subsequent effects on history somehow described. This description may comprise the entire plotline of a novel, or it may just provide a brief background to a short story. Perhaps the most common themes in alternate history are “What if the Nazis won World War II?” and “What if the Confederacy won the American Civil War?”

Restaurant employees are under more pressure than ever in a competitive market with razor-thin margins, Struck said. “You also have a massive sort of restaurant labor shortage. So people are trying to use core technology innovation to just streamline operations.”
In an industry where many kitchens run on paper orders and recipes printed from Word documents, restaurant tech companies are seeing more opportunities in the back of the house. By digitizing the kitchen, a restaurant can not only store recipes, track orders and manage inventory, but also reduce food waste, cut costs and tap new revenue streams.
In our favorite restaurant, the Red Truck Café, servers take orders on an electronic device that transmits the details of the order, identified by table, back to the kitchen automatically. When the food is ready, whoever is on hand brings it out to your table. It’s very efficient.

William F. Buckley was famous for saying, among other things, that he would rather be governed by the first 2,000 names in the Boston phone book than by the faculty of Harvard. This was an understandable thing to say given the intransigent ideologues who tend to inhabit Ivy League faculties. A random collection of Americans are likely to be far more congenial.
I was sitting at my desk this morning pondering the weekend events, which amounted to a continuous stream of Biden faux pas culminating in an ad-lib announcement of his view that Putin had to go. This set off a flurry of nervous disavowals from all across Europe, the US State Department, and eventually from the White House itself. It should be obvious by now, to anyone who is paying even a modicum of attention, that the President of the United States is a buffoon. He may be an inveterate grifter. He may even have dementia. But he is definitely as dumb as a bag of hair.
It’s a weird world we live in, where any random person plucked off the street of any town in America, would almost certainly be more intelligent and more competent to perform the actual presidential duties than the man who was voted for by millions of those same Americans. I offer no opinion about whether he actually won the election. I just marvel at how stupid he is, and the irrelevance of his manifest stupidity to the voting behavior of millions of his constituents.

As the centers of media and political discourse, large cities, notably New York, have a unique ability to promote themselves, asserting that dense, core urban areas own the future. Yet in reality, even during good times, and well before the pandemic, Americans have been headed, in increasing numbers, to suburbs, exurbs and to smaller cities. Romantic illusions to past urban recoveries may make people feel better, but they ignore both long-lasting trends and new realities.

I had always thought that if a left-wing revolution were to undo the American Experiment, it would be about some charismatic, competent leader taking advantage of a serious economic disaster; like an economic collapse followed by a movement led by an American version of Mao, Castro, Lenin, or Ho Chi Minh. It never occurred to me that we could be undone by grossly incompetent experts, third-rate journalists, self-satirizing academics, and by the deformed sensibilities of a majority wealthy enough to survive on Amazon, DoorDash, and Uber Eats for two years. Marx and Engels never contemplated a role for narcissism, intellectual lethargy, idle comforts, and an appetite for media-distorted fear.

Is it really too much to ask those who struggle to define the word “woman” to refrain from running for public office? Ketanji Brown Jackson, Joe’s Biden’s nominee for the Supreme Court, was asked to provide the dreaded definition during her confirmation hearing on Tuesday. “No I can’t,” she replied. “I’m not a biologist.”
Jackson hadn’t been asked to explain how blood is deoxygenated, or to offer an intricate overview of the molecular mechanisms by which protein function is regulated in cells. The question “what is a woman?” is hardly the riddle of the sphinx; a reasonably intelligent six-year-old would be able to give an adequate answer.
