An Efilist Just Bombed a Fertility Clinic. Was This Bound To Happen?

18th May 2025

Read it.

On Saturday morning, a parked SUV exploded outside the American Reproductive Centers fertility clinic, killing its driver and wounding at least four bystanders. Federal agents branded the blast an act of terrorism aimed at in-vitro fertilization. Shortly after, a bare-bones website—promortalism.com—surfaced, where the bomber, 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus, condemned “the disease of life,” and urged visitors to mirror and share “the recorded stream of my suicide & bombing”1 234before censors intervened.

Bartkus’s rhetoric will be familiar to not only anyone who’s followed my reporting on efilism and promortalism, but anyone who has watched the strange after-life of utilitarianism (and early heterodox YouTube debate culture) on the Internet unfold. What you see in efilism is something you see across the web—a distinct style of moral bookkeeping.

Attorneys Fight ‘Censorship, Plain and Simple’ Over Reparative Therapy Bans

18th May 2025

Read it.

First Amendment advocates appeared in court this week to overturn two laws aimed at trapping minors in the LGBTQ lifestyle by barring counselors from having consensual discussions with children who do not want to identify as transgender.

Attorneys from the Alliance Defending Freedom sued Kansas City, Missouri, and Jackson County—the county-level government overseeing Kansas City—after they passed ordinances outlawing so-called “conversion therapy.” The 2019 Kansas City statute bars medical experts from helping anyone under the age of 18 who wants “to change behaviors or gender expressions or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same gender.”

The statutes impose fines ranging from $500 to $1,000 for each so-called “offense.”

Afrikaner Double Standard Reminds Me Why I Left the Episcopal Church Behind

18th May 2025

Read it.

Or, more accurately, realized that it had left YOU behind.

After decades of partnering with the U.S. government to serve refugees, The Episcopal Church ended the relationship this week, because the Trump administration asked them to serve refugees whose plight contradicts the woke Left’s grand narrative.

Episcopal Migration Ministries had resettled almost 110,000 people across the U.S., and the church had touted its assistance to “undocumented immigrants”—read “illegal aliens”—but serving 59 desperate white South Africans who came to the U.S. legally was apparently a bridge too far.

Now, the Episcopal Church is finally cutting its relationship to the U.S. government, because these refugees are white and they’ve suffered at the hands of the African National Congress, the South African party of the sainted Nelson Mandela.

“Black Fatigue” Goes Viral: Everyone Including Blacks Is Tired of Ghetto Behavior

18th May 2025

Read it.

The progressive ideal is largely to blame for the monstrous creation that is ghetto culture. The idea that racial narcissism among blacks should not only be tolerated but celebrated has led to a surge in open animosity for societal rules and standards within the US. Far more than any other group, the black community makes up the largest share of physical crime according to their percentage of the population. This includes robbery, aggravated assault, and homicides.

For example, black Americans make up only 13% of the population but commit around 52% of all homicides according to FBI statistics. The recent case of Karmelo Anthony comes to mind, a black teen who admitted to stabbing a white teen and killing him because the white teen allegedly “pushed him” (which he argues was a threat that made deadly force justifiable).

The concept of “disrespect” as an offense that justifies murder is only one problem. There is an identifiable trend of theatrical sociopathy within the black community that goes far beyond the norm. The prevailing theory is that this is predominantly cultural – Black Americans have the highest rate of single parent households in the country (50% of black homes compared to 20% of white homes in 2023). Most of these households are run by single mothers. Single mother homes are a notorious indicator of future criminality among juveniles.

‘Corpse of the Phallus,’ Black Latex, and Circus Performers: Meet the Avant-Garde Artists Arrested for Violently Storming Columbia Library

Before Isaiah Decastro Nash was arrested for storming a Columbia University library, the philosophy undergraduate dabbled in poetry.

The corpse of God; the corpse of Death; the corpse of Time; the corpse of the Phallus,” he wrote in “Sociotraumatics,” a 2024 poem published in Gadfly, Columbia’s undergraduate philosophy magazine. “The corpse of God is the corpse of the decaying phallus.”

Much of the screed focused on religion, something Nash evidenced a curious relationship with.

Kennedy Center employees announce plans to unionize

16th May 2025

The Washington Post, a Voice of the Crust

Staffers at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts said Thursday that they plan to form a union in response to several waves of layoffs and what they describe as a lack of transparency from leaders at the arts institution, which President Donald Trump took over in February.

The union, which they’re calling the “Kennedy Center United Arts Workers,” would be in partnership with the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, commonly known as the UAW. It would consist of nonsupervisory employees from artistic programming, education, marketing and development departments, along with administrators of the Washington National Opera and the National Symphony Orchestra. Performers are covered by several different unions.

Roughly 60 percent of those eligible — more than 90 “trust,” or nonfederal, employees — have signed union cards. The union organizers Thursday turned the cards in to the National Labor Relations Board, which in turn will inform the Kennedy Center’s leadership that there is a request to form a union. The Kennedy Center did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I guess they want to make it obvious to everybody that they’re Democrats.

Politics as “Mental Illness”

15th May 2025

The New Neo.

First I’d like to deal with the concept of “mentally ill.” It’s an old-fashioned term that originated as an effort to medicalize the treatment of the insane/psychotic/crazy. The idea was that, by listing clusters of symptoms and giving each cluster a name, the problems could be addressed much like physical diseases were addressed. That dream turned out to have been untrue – at least so far – although it bore fruit for certain problems such as schizophrenia, which seems to have a strongly (although not entirely) physical cause and can be greatly helped (although not cured) by medication. Other problems conform more or less to the medical model, mostly less, but it’s been somewhat helpful in a lot of cases and less so in others.

In addition, “mental” illnesses and such diagnoses persist very powerfully in part because insurance coverage is based on them.

Trump Admin Files Smuggling Charges Against Detained HMS Researcher, Plans to Deport Her To Russia

15th May 2025

The Harvard Crimson, a Voice of the Children of the Crust.

Government lawyers said the Trump administration plans to deport Kseniia Petrova, a Harvard Medical School researcher detained by Customs and Border Protection officials in February, back to Russia at a Wednesday hearing.

According to The New York Times, the lawyers said at the hearing — held in Vermont — that the government would move to deport Petrova to Russia despite concerns that it would be dangerous for her to return to the country, where she was arrested in 2022 for protesting Russia’s war in Ukraine. Gregory Romanovsky, her attorney, said returning to the country would be “suicide” for Petrova in a March interview with The Crimson.

Two days earlier, on Monday, the government filed criminal smuggling charges against Petrova in federal district court in Massachusetts. The smuggling charges in Massachusetts were unsealed by a judge on Wednesday, the same day as the Vermont hearing.

CBP officials arrested Petrova at Boston Logan airport in February for allegedly failing to declare frog embryos she was attempting to bring back into the country from a trip to France for her research. She has been detained at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Louisiana since.

You would think that people whose presence in this country was on fragile ground would take the obvious precauttion of not making waves. But proglodytes can’t help themselves.

Missouri Lawmakers OK Vote to Repeal Pro-abortion Amendment

15th May 2025

Six months after Missouri voters approved an abortion-rights amendment, Republican state lawmakers on Wednesday approved a new referendum that would seek the amendment’s repeal and instead ban most abortions with exceptions for rape an incest.

The newly proposed constitutional amendment would go back to voters in November 2026, or sooner, if Republican Gov. Mike Kehoe calls a special election before then.

Republican senators used a series of rare procedural moves to cut off discussion by opposing Democrats before passing the proposed abortion-rights revision by a 21-11 vote. The measure passed the Republican-led House last month.

Liberal Hypocrisy: The Meltdown Over Trump Granting Persecuted Afrikaners Asylum

13th May 2025

Read it.

Donald Trump finally found the one group of foreign-born refugees that the American Left doesn’t like: white South Africans.

The president welcomed a few dozen Afrikaner farmers to Washington this week, offering them refuge from deadly persecution in their home country, South Africa. The media, naturally, went crazy, implying that Trump must be a racist for bringing in white people while clamping down on the influx of non-white asylum seekers.

The Episcopal Church, the national standard-bearer for woke Christianity, ended its decades-long contract with the U.S. government to help refugees settle in America over the arrival of the Afrikaners, citing “moral opposition” to helping them resettle. The Episcopalians—a wealthy but fast-shrinking denomination whose membership in the U.S. is 90% white—are thrilled to show mercy to foreigners fleeing persecution … but not white ones.

Civil Rights Agency Moves to Fire Judge Fighting Trump Directives

13th May 2025

Read it.

Note: ‘Administrative law judges’ aren’t real judges (pursuant to Article III of the Constitution). They lobbied for, and were granted, the right to be called ‘judges’ to enhance their status.  They are Executive Branch employees, not Judicial Branch employees, as witness the fact that she’s part of a union.

The federal agency tasked with protecting workers’ civil rights has moved to terminate a New York administrative judge who has resisted compliance with directives from the White House, including President Donald Trump’s executive order decreeing male and female as two “immutable” sexes.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in response to Trump’s order has moved to drop at least seven of its own pending cases representing transgender workers alleging discrimination, and is classifying all new gender identity-related discrimination cases as its lowest priority, signaling a major departure from its prior interpretation of civil rights law.

EEOC Administrative Judge Karen Ortiz, who in February criticized the agency’s Trump-appointed head, Acting Chair Andrea Lucas, in an email copied to more than 1,000 colleagues, on Wednesday was placed on administrative leave. She also received notice that the EEOC leadership sought to fire her, accusing her of “profoundly unprofessional” conduct.

Which ought to come as no surprise to anyone.

Planned Parenthood Boasts WHOPPING 402,000 Babies Murdered Between 2023 and 2024

12th May 2025

Read it.

With the help of taxpayer subsidies keeping the lights on, Planned Parenthood achieved a record-breaking number of 402,000 pre-born babies murdered between 2023 and 2024. The group’s annual report, released on Monday, features one of their pierced-up goons smirking smugly beside a graphic that boasts their latest body count as a “healthcare service.” Planned Parenthood’s new report features one of their “healthcare workers” smirking smugly next to a graphic boasting 402,200 babies MURDERED last year ALONE.

Justine Brooke Murray (@Justine_Brooke) May 12, 2025 That number marks a disturbing 2.42% jump from 392,715 babies murdered by the abortion business last year. LifeNews calculated over 1,102 babies murdered in abortions every single day of the year, which adds up to 46 dead babies every single hour. With Planned Parenthood’s revenue of over $2 billion, it means every baby would cost nearly $5,000 to put down, if they didn’t receive a portion of their income elsewhere. While the Hyde Amendment blocks federal funding from being used to directly sponsor abortions, Planned Parenthood allocates roughly $500,000 in taxpayer dollars a year to unrelated procedures as a smokescreen so they can continue slaughtering children. That’s why House Republicans are considering a reconciliation bill that would strip Medicaid funding to both Planned Parenthood and other so-called “family planning” businesses that offer to murder their customers’ babies.

Trump Administration is Exposing the Hubris of Institutional DEI

Harvard University was likely in violation of civil rights law in the name of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and the school practically said so, proudly, on their public website. Now they are under federal investigation.

The Washington Free Beacon’s Aaron Sibarium reported Monday that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, a federal agency created to enforce civil rights law, launched an investigation into Harvard in late April over whether the school was (or continues to be) unlawfully hiring based on race and sex.

They reportedly discovered this information based not on some deep investigation into the workings of the school, but from Harvard’s own public website.

Diversity Is Not Our Strength

12th May 2025

The Foundry.

A nation of groups is thus an oxymoron. In the best of times, it will be a festering federation. In the worst, it will dissolve into warring tribes.

People used to get this. It was part of our popular understanding.

Toward the end of the 1952 Hollywood classic “Ivanhoe,” King Richard the Lionheart asks those assembled before him to kneel as Saxons, Normans, Danes, and Jews and then commands them to rise as “Englishmen.” Nobody had to explain why.

Today, we have set up a system in which we seemingly ask Americans to kneel and then rise as members of groups.

This baleful system dates to the 1970s. Activists intimidated the bureaucracy into creating new racial groups, which the Office of Management and Budget did in the 1970s, crafting umbrella clusters such as “Hispanics” or “Asian Americans” to include in the 1980 census. To these were later added groups based on sex, gender, sexual preferences, etc.

Then, these groups were kept apart by pursuing a diversity policy in the schools that deters assimilation. Finally, you instill actual grievances into the members of some groups by teaching them that members of others are oppressing them.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Defends Massive Change for Exposed Anti-Free Speech Agency

A Democratic representative mourned a huge change to a government agency responsible for massive censorship. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem put him in his place.

Rep. Ed Case (D-HI) went after Noem during a House Appropriations Committee hearing on Tuesday, criticizing President Donald Trump’s proposed $491 million funding cut for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In response, Noem told Case that the DHS would stop wasting money and funding censorship.

“We have focused on making sure that we’re going forward with a Department of Homeland Security that focuses on what our mission is and that is to secure America’s homeland and do that while being accountable to taxpayers,” Noem said.

She added, “So every single component I have—23 different departments—we’ve gone back to their mission statement and what they were intended to do and put them back on mission. So in CISA instead of doing censorship, misinformation [and] disinformation, they’re back to securing our critical infrastructure.”

Chicks Who Hate Freedom

9th May 2025

Read it.

Young American women supporting Hamas may be the strangest social phenomenon in history. There was some logic, however sad, in the story of John Walker Lindh (the “American Taliban”) whose conversion to Islam may have been a reaction to the disruption to his family life by his father’s homosexuality. Black men who joined the Confederate Army could justify that odd choice because of an offer of personal freedom. But what would persuade a free, privileged young woman to support a political, ideological and religious movement that would extinguish “choice” and the availability of living an alternative gender while advocating horrific violence?

One would think that the extraordinary degree of misogyny inherent in Islam (and the Hamas edition in particular) would be off-putting. Wife-beatings, denial of education, genital mutilation, child brides, honor killings and sartorial oppression are features, not bugs. Genghis Khan was probably more pro-woman than the average shariah-enforcing imam (he banned kidnapping and several other offenses against Mongol women, probably because his mom had been taken against her will by his father).

What mental gymnastics are required to believe that there is a natural alliance between LGBTQ+ and Hamas? Or that there was ever an Islamic Arab nation called Palestine? Or that men with an identity disorder are really women? Or that humanity is doomed because the climate may be two degrees warmer on average in another 50-100 years? Or that history started at the moment capitalism began to oppress everyone?

California Gas Prices Could Rise 75% by End of 2026: USC Analysis

8th May 2025

Read it.

California gas prices could skyrocket by as much as 75 percent by the end of 2026 with the expected shutdown of oil refineries in the state, according to an analysis released May 5 by a researcher at the University of Southern California (USC).

Regular gasoline prices could rise from an average of $4.82 in April 2025 to as high as $8.44 a gallon by the end of next year, said the report, authored by Professor Michael Mische at the Marshall School of Business.

Two Phillips 66 refineries in Los Angeles—about 8 percent of the state’s oil refining capacity—are slated to close by the end of this year. Valero Energy Corp. also announced last month it will shut down or restructure its Benicia refinery in the San Francisco Bay area—which accounts for about 9 percent of refining capacity—by April 2026, increasing concerns over gas prices and supply.

The USC analysis states that based on current demand, consumption, state regulations, and other factors, the refinery closures could result in a potential 21 percent drop in refining capacity from 2023 to April 2026.

Trump Admin Sues Michigan and Hawaii Over States’ Plans to Pursue Climate Damages From Oil and Gas Industry

2nd May 2025

Read it.

The Trump administration is suing both Michigan and Hawaii over the states’ plans to take oil companies to court over their alleged role in causing global warming and environmental damage.

In complaints filed late Wednesday, federal prosecutors said the two states’ planned actions against the oil and gas industry would directly counter the Trump administration’s efforts to boost domestic energy production, enforce federal emissions laws, and conduct foreign affairs. The state’s lawsuits, by blaming oil companies for weather-related damages, could decimate and bankrupt those companies, presenting an existential threat to the industry.

The unexpected complaints are a clear signal that the Trump administration is prepared to go to great lengths in defending the American oil and gas industry, even if it means intervening in state-level litigation. It also opens up the possibility of the administration intervening in similar climate litigation that has already been filed by several states and dozens of local governments nationwide.

Time to Defund Climate Models?

Climate models have been the basis for concern about climate change for more than 35 years. The US government, the United Nations, and organizations across the world have used model projections to warn about global warming and to demand a shift to renewable energy. But Trump administration budget cuts at NASA, NOAA, and other federal agencies threaten to shut down the models, the heart of climate change alarmism.

There are more than 40 climate models operating across the world, with 13 of the leading models located in the US. The US models are operated by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in New York City, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Princeton, New Jersey, and the Department of Energy (DOE) in Boulder, Colorado. Each of these organizations has been ordered to reduce staff as part of Trump administration budget cuts.

The White House may soon tell NASA to focus work on space programs, not climate change. In February, the administration denied NASA officials permission to travel to an international climate meeting in China. At the same time, NASA management cut off funding for a support contract for the 7th Assessment Report of the IPCC. NASA has been a primary contributor to previous IPCC Assessment Reports. Preliminary government spending plans for fiscal year 2026 would cut NASA’s science budget by almost half, to $3.9 billion.

Why Liberals Are More Mentally Ill Than Conservatives

1st May 2025

Freeberg nails it.

John Hawkins, writing at Culturcidal, offers five reasons.

As you’d expect from the people who invented the concept of “microaggressions” and “safe zones,” liberals have a tendency to wildly overreact to things most people would barely notice. They also tend to spend their lives terrified of imagined dooms that never happen…Really, it’s no surprise so many liberals mentally break when they spend their days endlessly being spoon-fed imaginary apocalyptic scenarios…

I have noticed, in my dealings with dedicated liberals outside of politics, there’s often this tension arising where I’m waiting on them to make a delivery of some kind. And rather than the product or service, what I see them bringing is drama. It gets to the point where I start wondering what the drama is going to be, and stop wondering if I’m going to get what I contracted to have delivered. The initiative is lacking, and they seem to be drawn to distractions like a moth to a flame.

EU Court Rules Malta’s ‘Golden Passport’ Scheme Illegal

29th April 2025

Read it.

On Tuesday, April 29th, the EU Court of Justice declared Malta’s “golden passport” scheme unlawful, siding with the European Commission in a long-standing legal battle over whether citizenship can be sold to the highest bidder. The European Commission welcomed the ruling. “It’s now for Malta to implement the court’s judgement,” said EU spokesperson Markus Lammert.

“The acquisition of Union citizenship cannot result from a commercial transaction,” the EU’s highest court ruled, concluding that Malta had violated EU law by offering its citizenship to non-Europeans in exchange for pre-defined payments or investments. The binding decision now requires Malta to shut down the program or face significant penalties.

“A member state cannot grant its nationality—and indeed European citizenship—in exchange for predetermined payments or investments, as this essentially amounts to rendering the acquisition of nationality a mere commercial transaction,” the court wrote. It also noted that Malta’s actions “infringe the principle of sincere cooperation and jeopardise the mutual trust between member states concerning the grant of their nationality.”

The legal action, initiated in 2020 and escalated in 2022 when the Commission brought the case to the Court of Justice, has now reached a decisive conclusion. The island nation’s controversial program allowed wealthy individuals—many of them Russians and Chinese—to buy their way into EU citizenship and thereby access all the rights and privileges of the bloc.

Malta had previously defended the scheme, pointing out that “Significant investments were made in key sectors to improve the quality of life for the Maltese and Gozitan people,” the government noted, stating that the program had brought in 1.4 billion euros since its launch in 2015.

Power Failure: The Cost of Green Dogma

29th April 2025

Read it.

The Iberian nations of Spain and Portugal were thrust into chaos yesterday as a massive power outage swept across the entirety of their territories, leaving tens of millions without electricity.

Major cities, among them tourist destinations of international repute—Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona, Seville, and Valencia—all ground to a halt. Airports shut down, trains stalled, traffic lights failed, and hospitals scrambled to maintain critical operations on backup generators. The Madrid Open tennis tournament was suspended. Supermarkets had to close to prevent panic buying. Ordinary people were left stranded in elevators and metro tunnels, navigating pitch-black stations with phone torches. Passengers had to leave stranded trains on foot. Authorities reportedly had prior warnings, yet failed to act decisively.

By evening, partial power was finally restored—Spain’s grid operator Red Eléctrica reported meeting 43% of demand—but full recovery could nevertheless take hours, if not days. Meanwhile, Portugal’s operator warned of potential disruptions that might last for up to a week. On Monday evening, Lisbon’s mayor, Carlos Moedas, asked people to stay at home the following day, fearing the city would still be unprepared to return to normal.

This spectacular, wholly unprecedented blackout, described as a “50-year, if not 100-year incident,” exposed a deeper flaw: the catastrophic consequences of left-wing energy policies that have recklessly prioritised renewable energies while dismantling reliable alternatives like coal and nuclear power.

Closing An Illegal Immigration Loophole: Should Anchor Babies Be Deported?

29th April 2025

Read it.

The establishment media this week is awash in stories about the Trump Administrations “frightening” deportations of at least three young children from the US, even though they are considered “American citizens”. The narrative follows a typical strategy of generating outrage using omission of the facts. The goal is to anger the public by pumping out hysterical headlines, knowing many people won’t investigate further.

The news reports insinuate that Trump has hijacked three American children and shipped them across the border, but they gloss over the fact that the parents of all of the children involved are illegal immigrants. The children’s parents were deported, and of course, the children went with the parents.

“Three U.S. citizens ages four, seven and two were not deported,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said. “Their mothers, who were illegally in this country, were deported. The children went with their mothers.”

“If those children are U.S. citizens, they can come back into the United States if their father or someone here wants to assume them,” he added.

DEI’s Beleaguered True Believers, in Their Own Words

28th April 2025

Quillette.

On 19 March, it was announced that the ten-campus University of California (UC) system would no longer require academic job applicants to supply so-called “diversity statements”—documents testifying to one’s embrace of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as guiding professional values. The move made national news, both because of the size of the UC system, and because UC’s original adoption of diversity statements in the late 2010s had been instrumental in establishing a wider trend throughout academia.

That trend has been in decline since 2023, a policy reversal that is now accelerating thanks to the Trump administration’s strenuous opposition to DEI. In a parallel development, numerous corporations have been abandoning the DEI campaigns that they ramped up with much fanfare following the murder of George Floyd and the heyday of the Black Lives Matter movement in late 2020 and 2021.

A CIA Director’s Son Joined Russia’s Army to ‘Defeat The Military-Industrial Complex’ & Was Killed in Ukraine

28th April 2025

Read it.

Russian as well as independent regional media sources have revealed that a high-ranking CIA official’s son was killed while fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine last year.

The news and story of the young man’s death is highly unusual, given his mother is a US intelligence information warfare and ‘disinfo’ expert: the CIA’s Deputy Director for Digital Innovation Juliane Gallina Gloss.

The New York Post among other US media outlets described the CIA official’s son, a longtime global traveler and activist, as having been ‘radicalized’ against the US and its foreign policy.

Michael Alexander Gloss, 21, died on April 4, 2024 – based on a family obituary posted by a funeral home in Fairfax, Virginia – but on Friday investigative outlet IStories reported that Russian authorities only informed his family of his death in October. His official obituary only related that he was “tragically killed in Eastern Europe.”

IStories apparently had access to his phone records, given that it published a live recording of Gloss informing his parents that he traveled to Russia, along with many photos including showing life in a Russian barracks with fellow soldier friends who appear to be foreign fighters.

Juliane Gallina Gloss has been the CIA’s deputy director for digital innovation since being appointed in February 2024, and is a career CIA and US Naval intelligence officer.

International Institutions Must Abandon “Wokeism”

28th April 2025

Read it.

The scandal over the alleged corruption of the founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos would be just an anecdote were it not another example of what has happened recently with many international institutions. The Financial Times reveals that the WEF founder faces accusations of manipulating the organization’s analysis to gain favour with governments.

For years, many of us have watched with sadness as an important forum like Davos shifted from being a centre for debate and confrontation of ideas in defence of free enterprise to becoming a loudspeaker for the most interventionist ideas, the most damaging statism, and a whitewasher of authoritarian governments, spreading the destructive ideas of inflationism, socialism, and wokeism— which, in reality, are all the same.

Davos went from being a forum for debate to a congregation for repeating interventionist dogmas and whitewashing a single, extractive mindset; those who defended economic freedom, attractive taxes, and control over public spending were gradually ostracised. We have heard enthusiastic applause for those demanding more taxes and greater assaults on job creators, and one-sided debates in which all participants repeated clichés and words like “resilience” and “sustainability” as Trojan horses for predatory statism, where the idea of creating value and wealth was repudiated.

The Left Has Destroyed Our Emotional Relationships

27th April 2025

Read it.

Postmodern feminism has reached a dead end. Since Judith Butler led feminists to their demise, diluting what it means to be a woman and making it so even any man can be one, feminism has been mired in constant contradiction. This has all unfolded in an era of singular thought and cancellation, where the few feminists who remained loyal to late-20th-century ideas and critiqued queer theories have been excluded from the debate or even branded as misogynists. Thus, traditional feminism, possessed by the demons of the woke Left, has been left with only one outlet—hatred of men.

The first step in this process began years ago with the relentless propaganda pushing the construction of so-called new masculinities. Wokism is a theory entirely detached from reality and human nature, so the only way to enforce it is by constructing a new reality. In terms of masculinity, this construction has been a persistent effort—a steadily tended ideological seed now bearing its poisoned fruit.

To build this new masculine reality, they pitted new ‘masculinities’ against traditional masculinity, labelling the latter as patriarchal, violent, misogynistic, and backward. But their aim wasn’t to critique potential inequalities between men and women; it was to attack the very core of what defines a man and his most intimate traits. By making the exception the rule, wokists conclude that all men are potential rapists; that the traditional family is little more than a nest of violent vipers; and that the white, middle-class man is behind all the world’s ills. It’s as if they’ve forgotten Henry Kissinger’s quip: “Nobody will ever win the battle of the sexes. There is too much fraternising with the enemy.”

Anti-Woke Movement Flips the Script in Hollywood

27th April 2025

Read it.

One of the unintended—but providential—side effects of America’s anti-woke wave isn’t just that companies are walking away from LGBT extremism, but that entertainment is. In a market pivot that’s gone somewhat under the radar, key Hollywood players seem to be quietly turning away from the wokeism that’s financially punished the industry for years. Families in this country want more wholesome options—and, in a surprising twist, producers seem much more willing to provide them.

The sex, violence, profanity, gay and trans themes, and other vices that have characterized modern entertainment have started to give way to more decent and uncontroversial fare. And audiences are eating it up. While other movies continue to tank at the box office, PG-rated films made up a whopping third of ticket sales in the U.S. in 2024, the highest percentage, Axios points out, since 1995. A quarter of those profits went to animated films, four of which topped the charts as last year’s highest-grossing movies.

Even industry titans like Disney—who, not so long ago, bragged about intentionally “queering” content to indoctrinate kids—have taken some modest steps back from their personal pride parades, reining in recent projects and internal goals. Although the signs of impending doom were all around them (the Mouse House lost a jaw-dropping 700,000 streaming subscribers in the last three months of 2024), very little about CEO Bob Iger’s social agenda changed. After Donald Trump’s landslide election in November, however, alarm bells finally went off.
