The DemLegHump Media are, of course, ignoring the Dayton shooter so that they can pile on Trump about the El Paso shooting. That will continue for at least a month.
If there were actually a search for the ‘rhetoric of violence’, the talking heads on TV would be running for their lives. Nobody on the Internet is saying ‘punch a Democrat’ or ‘punch a liberal’ — it’s all ‘punch a Nazi’ or ‘punch a fascist’, code words for anybody to the right of Bernie Sanders.

Yesterday on Meet the Press host (and NBC political director) Chuck Todd channeled the Democratic Party talking points of the hour as he sought to attribute blame for the El Paso massacre to President Trump. Trump chief of staff Mick Mulvaney was on hand to represent the administration. The look on Mulvaney’s face when Todd turned to him said it all (video below).

The liberal media hate machine was running at full steam on Sunday in the wake of two mass shootings the left wanted to blame President Trump for. According to frequent NBC and MSNBC guest, radical Princeton professor Eddie Glaude, not only should we condemn the President but we also needed to condemn anyone who used the term “illegal immigrant”
If we can just get rid of these pesky facts and make people see the Emperor’s clothes, all will be hunky-dory.

During Wednesday’s edition of The Beat With Ari Melber, the eponymous host shared some “new information and context for President Trump’s race-baiting rhetoric and discriminatory policies.” This “new information” came in the form of indefensible comments from then-California governor and future President Ronald Reagan and the then-President Richard Nixon, which Melber gleefully used as a lynchpin to attack Republicans and conservatives as racist.
EXCEPT THAT Trump isn’t really a conservative — ask anybody at National Review — and isn’t really even a Republican — ask Mitt Romney.
Other than that, he’s nailed it.

Is a higher federal minimum wage a workable idea? Let’s remember that Sanders was forced to eat a generous portion of humble pie when the public found out he was paying his own campaign staff the equivalent of $13 hourly. He raised their wage to $15 by cutting employee hours. Reality crashed in on yet another utopian plan.

Angela Saini has an interesting review in Nature of Skin Deep, a ridiculous book about how racial differences have no role in sports achievement. Of course, that’s just nonsense, obviously so: some Kenyan and Ethiopian populations are way better at distance races, while people of West African descent always win the Olympic 100-meter. And so on.
Now you’d think that if if you were trying to defend blank slatism, you wouldn’t want to spend much of your time on your weakest possible point, any more than a PR-wise Stalinist would go on and on about how wise and good Katyn Forest was: how the Chekists killed those Polish POWs in self-defense, after a heroic struggle, etc. Arguing for zero physical differences between populations is that weak: everyone can see them, for Christ’s sake. And a lot of people are very interested in, and knowledgeable about, sports.
Yet, in Saini’s review, she does just that. She’s pushing obvious falsehoods – not just ones that can only be noticed by the elite that know how to do long division.

The area surrounding King County Superior Court includes a homeless shelter and other social-services organizations and has become an “unsanitary and potentially frightening” scene — one “that reeks of urine and excrement” — according to an article in the Seattle Times. Desperate for help with the disgusting environment, two of the court’s judges have asked the city to please power-wash the poop-covered sidewalks. That seems like a pretty reasonable request, but apparently, one councilman is worried that doing so might be a form of microaggression.
According to the Times, Councilmember Larry Gossett “said he didn’t like the idea of power-washing the sidewalks because it brought back images of the use of hoses against civil-rights activists.”

Here’s a working definition of an “MSNBC Republican:” one who is loath to say anything good about anyone associated with President Trump. Susan Del Percio gave a perfect illustration of the genre on today’s Morning Joe. Discussing President Trump’s disavowal of the “send her back” chant at his recent North Carolina rally, Del Percio said: “We hear—and I hate to give her any real credit—but we hear Ivanka Trump did say, did speak to her father, too, saying this was a bit too far.”

On Wednesday morning, CNN’s New Day aired a panel featuring eight Republican women from the Dallas, Texas area. In the face of biased, manipulative questions, the women pushed back against the liberal media.
CNN anchor Randi Kaye asked the panel of women a series of pointed questions, ones designed to pressure them to denounce President Trump so that CNN could show its viewers that the President is losing support amongst female voters. Only, the women pushed back….

Back in May, CNN’s United Shades of America ran an episode which glorified a Washington-based Antifa chapter called the Puget Sound John Brown Gun Club (JBGC), describing them as the “good guy[s].” On Saturday, a member of that group was killed by police for attempting to burn down a migrant detention center in Tacoma, Washington while armed with a rifle and incendiary devices. But as of 4:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, CNN still have yet to inform viewers of that man’s affiliation with the organization they so highly praised.

Aggregation fallacy. States don’t have bodies and can’t be obese. Individual people have bodies and can be obese, but there is nothing about where they live that controls their weight.
The complications associated with obesity are tragic and expensive and they have a direct effect on all consumers in a number of ways. Excess weight relative to one’s height is medically linked with early death, heart disease, diabetes, and practically all maladies. Across pretty much all cultures across the globe, obesity is associated with early death.
What ways? That ‘they have a direct effect on consumers in a number of ways’ is asserted but no evidence is presented.
If you are a consumer and obese, well, there’s an effect — but the alleged connection between obesity and consumer status is supported neither by evidence nor by argument.
I really hate these hair-on-fire articles that make great claims and never back them up. But people believe this shit.
