Steve Sailer.
From the New York Times news section, an article that appears to have been generated from a Mad Libs template on how to write an anti-white male diversity news story….
Apparently there’s something about having dark skin and two X chromosomes that makes you a better scientist.

The demand for white supremacists vastly exceeds the supply, which is why we see absurdities like the controversy over military academy students supposedly flashing “white power” signs at the Army-Navy football game. Now, apparently, the age-old “OK” sign means you are a white nationalist, notwithstanding that there are pictures of pretty much everyone in public life giving the sign, like Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and nearly everyone else.

We are a bit late in getting to that dog’s breakfast called “The 1619 Project,” The New York Times’s effort to “reframe”—read, “wildly distort”—the history and governing impetus of the American Founding. Readers of the satirical classic 1066 and All That know what fun can be had if you go about your job as a storyteller serving up “all the History you can remember” and pretending that it is the truth. “Histories,” we read in 1066 and All That, “have previously been written with the object of exalting their authors. The object of this History is to console the reader.”
It was to console its core readership that The New York Times undertook The 1619 Project in a special flood-the-zone issue of its Sunday magazine in August and then in a snazzy, graphics-heavy series of features on its website. For two years, the Times had invested heavily in the vaudeville entertainment called “Trump–Russia.” The spectacular failure of its leading man, Special Counsel Robert Mueller, to deliver a happy ending to that fiasco underscored the essential futility of the entire enterprise.

The stars are coming out to push the activities of a “non-partisan” anti-corruption organization which aims to save America, state-by-state, by way of voting laws, campaign finance laws, anti-lobbying measures and such. The organization is called Represent.Us. Their eventual goal is to change federal laws.
They emphasize that it’s not fair that lobbyists have more influence on politicians than ordinary people. They don’t seem to push any measures to limit the unfair influence of celebrities on (and in behalf of) politicians, though.
Funny how that works.

At the Washington Post today, fact-checker Glenn Kessler has a roundup of the biggest Pinocchios of 2019, collecting the top 13 falsehoods that he fact-checked over the past year. Though Donald Trump dominates the list, one item is dedicated to Leana Wen, the former president of Planned Parenthood.
Shortly before Planned Parenthood’s board ousted her — displeased with her desire to focus more on expanding the group’s health-care services than on pro-abortion political activism — Wen was the feature of a Kessler fact-check and received four Pinocchios for her repeated claims that thousands of women died from botched abortions prior to 1973’s Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade.

Continuing corporate efforts to support at-risk youth, Apple this week joined forces with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and former first lady Michelle Obama to hand out new Macs and iPads to students and teachers at Randle Highlands Elementary School in Washington, D.C.
I’m opening a book on how long it takes for this program to disintegrate. The L.A. school district handed out free computers to ‘at-risk’ kids who immediately turned around and sold them on the street, then reported ‘Oh, gee, my computer was lost/stolen, could I please have another?’ I’ll leave you guess how many MILLIONS of dollars this cost the taxpayers.
