In a contentious antitrust hearing on Wednesday, four of America’s tech titans (Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google) were grilled by Democrats and Republicans about their shady business practices. House Republicans came down hard on the issues of political bias and censorship of conservatives. But while ABC’s World News Tonight ditched covering the hearing altogether, the CBS Evening News defended efforts by Facebook and Google to censor conservative outlets like NewsBusters.

MSNBC Democratic hack Andrea Mitchell absolutely lost it after Ranking Republican House Judiciary Committee member Jim Jordan began Tuesday’s hearing with Attorney General Bill Barr by playing a video montage of the media lying about violent far-left protests across the country. The so-called “news” anchor trashed the “very political and highly edited” video that called out many of her own colleagues at the left-wing cable channel.
As the congressional hearing began, in the 11:00 a.m. ET hour, Jordan addressed Barr: “I want to thank you for defending law enforcement, for pointing out what a crazy idea this defund the police policy, whatever you want to call it, is, and standing up for the rule of law.” The Congressman then introduced the video that so upset Mitchell: “And frankly, we have a video that we want to show that gets right to this point. Can we play that video, please?”

Yesterday, The Washington Free Beacon posted The Wages of Woke: How Robin DiAngelo got rich peddling ‘white fragility’, on its website. As its title advertises, the article documents the impressive rewards that racism expert, author, and speaker, Dr. Robin DiAngelo, is reaping from her activities. That she is doing well is not an issue; people who provide goods and services benefitting others earn their pay.
But DiAngelo’s racial marketing business seems to be benefitting only herself.

In back-to-back interviews with congressional lawmakers from different sides of the aisle Sunday, CBS Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan exposed which party she supported as she allowed Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) an almost unfettered 10 minutes (9:44) to speak and smear Republicans on the stimulus bill. In contrast, she only gave Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) six minutes and 24 seconds, and interrupted every answer he gave on the stimulus so she could assail him questions doubting his commitment to helping struggling families.
My, what a surprise. Aren’t you surprised? I’m sure surprised.

MSNBC’s Morning Joe started off Thursday with their favorite game, gaslighting conservatives — or anyone opposed to violent far-left protests taking over city streets. They attempted to do this by pretending that demonstrations in major cities across America aren’t violent, that rioters and looters aren’t beating people up, attacking police officers, and setting things on fire. Nope, the media would rather pretend that Trump sending in federal officers to quell the chaos is the real problem, not the actual rioters themselves.

This week, former New York Assembly speaker Sheldon Silver was sentenced to six and a half years in prison on corruption charges. For those unfamiliar with the Silver, he was a Democratic Party kingmaker in New York for many years, serving as speaker for 20 — from Mario Cuomo to Andrew Cuomo — before being automatically expelled over a felony conviction. Silver, in fact, had gotten unanimous support from Democrats for his eleventh term as speaker in 2015, even as a federal probe was ongoing. It’s long been an open secret that Silver was crooked. Then again, New York politics is a den of corruption, and one party has been running the state more or less forever. Yet, despite all of this, not once does the Associated Press piece about Silver that ran in major outlets across the country use the word “Democrat” or the phrase “Democratic Party.”

he Washington Post is so relentlessly liberal you can’t even read an architecture review without being lectured that America and its founding stinks.
The critic is Philip Kennicott, who also recently wrote a rant on how “Mount Rushmore is colossal kitsch, perfect for a populist spectacle.” He meant Trump’s July 3 speech in front of the so-called “giant myths.” This memorial “effectively dramatizes the idea that national myths are not to be looked at too closely.”
All politics, all the time!

If the Democrats nominated Karl Marx, they’d describe him as a “moderate Marxist” . . .
It’s SOP for the Democrats and the liberal media: they invariably try to peddle their presidential candidates as “moderates” or “centrists.”
But on today’s Morning Joe, MSNBC’s John Heilemann took things an absurd step further, actually describing Biden as “culturally conservative.” That, of course, is baldfaced balderdash.

The school said in a statement that the complaint said the newspaper, reporter Elizabeth Williamson and a photographer said the school suffered a COVID-19 outbreak when it reopened after spring break and that nearly a dozen students were sick with the virus.
The Times cited Dr. Thomas W. Eppes Jr., who was described as the doctor who runs Liberty’s health service. The lawsuit said Eppes’ job description was misrepresented as well as the information he provided. The school disputes that Eppes told the Times that students started getting sick after returning from spring break or that nearly a dozen Liberty students had symptoms that suggested COVID-19.

But at the heart of many of these arguments is another disagreement, about the nature and purpose of journalism. As a Bloomberg employee is said to have remarked at a recent meeting, reporters are meant to be objective, but to many the distinction between right and wrong now seems obvious. A new generation of journalists is questioning whether, in a hyper-partisan, digital world, objectivity is even desirable. “American view-from-nowhere, ‘objectivity’-obsessed, both-sides journalism is a failed experiment,” tweeted Wesley Lowery, a Pulitzer-winning 30-year-old now at CBS News. The dean of Columbia Journalism School described objectivity as an “inherited shibboleth” in a message to students. The Columbia Journalism Review pondered: “What comes after we get rid of objectivity in journalism?”
The problem arose with so-called journalism schools, which attracted a couple generations of people who went into ‘journalism’ to ‘make a difference’ — the way you ‘make a difference’ is by pushing an agenda, and that agenda was invariably progressive.

When Never Trumper and Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson went on Stephen Colbert’s parody news show on Monday night, Tooning Out the News, it would be a reasonable assumption that he probably looked forward to the interview. After all since the interviewers would be cartoon characters, it would probably be a lot of fun. Plus, since Stephen Colbert suffers from every bit as much of Trump Derangement Syndrome as Wilson he could expect it to be a friendly interview as well.
What could go wrong? Well, everything. As you can see, by the end of interview, poor Wilson was stunned into sullen silence.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson has a Republican pedigree and an evangelical Christian background. He wrote profound speeches for George W. Bush, who was mocked as a mangler of the English language. Today he sounds like a speechwriter for the gaseous opening of the Brian Stelter show on CNN.
A headline for a recent column was “Trump has taken up residence in an alternate political reality.” Gerson writes the most urgent national challenge is “the president inhabits a different country from the rest of us.”

The author’s study found that many young people believe in several moral statutes not exclusive to any of the major world religions. It is not a new religion or theology as such, but identified as a set of commonly held spiritual beliefs. It is this combination of beliefs that they label moralistic therapeutic deism:
- A God exists who created and ordered the world and watches over human life on earth.
- God wants people to be good, nice, and fair to each other, as taught in the Bible and by most world religions.
- The central goal of life is to be happy and to feel good about oneself.
- God does not need to be particularly involved in one’s life except when God is needed to resolve a problem.
- Good people go to heaven when they die.
Jon Gabriel at Ricochet characterizes this as “TED talks from the pulpit”.

This ‘wrong side of history’ is almost (TM)Proglodyte. Like Marxists (where I think they got it), they believe that there is this irresistible wave going from NOW to FUTURE and that they are riding it.
And when reality reaches out and bites them on the ass , they ignore it because It Just Can’t Be Happening That Way … until everything goes to shit, and then they wonder what happened.
