Bill Russo, a deputy communications director for the president-elect’s campaign ripped the social network in a series of Twitter posts over its failure to clamp down on users disputing the 2020 election results,” the New York Post (the Post) reported Nov. 11. Russo accused Facebook of “shredding the fabric of our democracy” in an apocalyptic thread slamming the platform for giving conservatives a voice.

We knew things at the New York Times were bad, but hoo-ey boy we had no idea just how bad! New York magazine is out with a deep dive into the internal Maoist struggle sessions going on inside the Times, and get a big bowl of popcorn ready for this long piece.
The piece could be called “Annals of the Liberal Self-Obsessed,” as it contains many nuggets of pure comedy gold.

MSNBC national security reporter Ken Dilanian dropped an F-bomb and an S-bomb on the air on Tuesday morning with Craig Melvin in the 11 am Eastern hour. Melvin turned to the current liberal spin – the Trump administration’s supposedly awful refusal to work on the presidential transition with Joe Biden’s team. “NBC’s Ken Dilanian has new reporting on something we talked about at the top of the hour, how the Trump administration is handling the transition with the incoming Biden team, or not handling it, we should say, to a certain extent.” He asked Dilanian, “Ken, what have you learned, sir?”

The Other McCain puts the hammer down.
Millions of Republicans have stopped watching Fox News after the Election Night debacle in which the network’s “Decision Desk” (i.e., a Democrat named Aaron Mishkin) called Arizona for Joe Biden at a time when they were still claiming that Ohio and Texas were “too close to call.”
Apparently Fox has decided to sell out to the Corporate Media Complex.
Perhaps somebody made Murdoch an Offer He Can’t Refuse.

Kevin Williamson points the finger of shame.
A Slate headline: “Most Slate Staffers Are Voting for Biden—but Not All of Us.”
Another way of writing the same headline: “Not One Slate Staffer Is Voting for Trump, But At Least One Is Voting for the Green Party Candidate.”
It is of some interest that National Review, an explicitly conservative journal of opinion, has more political diversity among its contributors than does Slate, which, unless I have missed something, still presents itself as a conventional news source rather than as a journal of left-wing advocacy such as The Nation or The New Republic. The New York Times does not have one pro-Trump columnist on its pages.

Now, the interim dean of Northwestern’s law school has gone one better. James Speta described himself as a “racist.” He did so during an online “town hall” event.
The only decent thing for Speta to do is to resign — not just as interim dean, but as a professor at the law school. Avowed racists shouldn’t be running a law school or teaching students.
If Speta doesn’t step down, Northwestern should fire him. If not for being a racist, then for being an idiot.

Glenn Greenwald.
In September, 2018, The New York Times published an op-ed that became an instant media sensation. The content of the opinion piece was unremarkable: banal anti-Trump agitprop. Noting “the president’s amorality,” the author wrote that Trump “is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making” and his “impulses are generally anti-trade and anti-democratic” — no different than what one reads virtually every day from that paper’s small army of relentlessly on-script anti-Trump columnists or that one hears daily on panels assembled by MSNBC or CNN.
But what triggered so much media attention was that the author of the anti-Trump denunciation was “a senior official in the Trump administration” who claimed that he and other like-minded dissidents were “resisting” and “thwarting” the elected president from inside the government. Moreover, the New York Times took the extraordinary step of granting anonymity to the author. All of that created an exciting parlor game in which media and political insiders attempted to guess the mysterious author’s identity.

I am not a conspiracy theorist. And as recently as a year and a half ago, if someone had told me the things I am reporting here, I would have accused them of culture-war paranoia. That was before I enrolled in a professional training program that I’d hoped would expand my skills as a therapist, but instead delivered an extreme form of ideological indoctrination.
The Sexual Health Certificate Program is a prestigious University of Michigan program conducted in affiliation with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). As someone who recently studied in the program, I can attest that, notwithstanding whatever mission AASECT once had, it now operates largely as a de facto activist group that seeks to reshape standards applied to mental health care and education, and to limit the rights of parents to make decisions about their children.

We learned this week that the “senior administration official” who trashed President Trump in a 2018 op-ed under the name “Anonymous” was, in fact, fairly far removed from the center of power as a mere deputy chief of staff to the Secretary of Homeland Security. “I think many people were under the impression — I know I was — that the article was written by somebody with a much more senior role,” ABC’s Jonathan Karl complained on Wednesday’s World News Tonight.
If the Times had given readers a more precise description of the op-ed’s author, though, it’s unlikely anyone would have cared. It was the description of a “senior administration official” that teased the imagination; “senior” being the key word that suggested real proximity to the President, such as a cabinet secretary, prominent West Wing adviser or even Vice President Pence. Learning that the writer was Miles Taylor, someone unknown to most Americans, revealed the op-ed for what it was: a cheap anti-Trump gimmick.

Angela’s looking pretty white in this picture.
In contrast, the last time the Times has mentioned the name of Harold Haley, the judge whose head was blown off by the shotgun Davis had purchased two days earlier, was 1986.
Since then, the Times has written about Davis 397 times without mentioning the murdered judge by name once.

With just five days to go, polls show a tight race in many of the key battleground states. But one place where the race isn’t tight: newsrooms across America. The country’s newspapers have absolutely thumped Donald Trump in their official endorsements, favoring Joe Biden by a count of (88) to (7).
Out of a total of (95) newspapers that have offered an editorial on who their readers should vote for, 88 (93 percent) of them have endorsed Joe Biden. Only seven (The Las Vegas Review Journal, Santa Barbara News-Press, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, The Spokesman-Review, The New York Post, The Washington Times and Boston Herald) have advised voting for Trump.
I still read the news, but I refuse to pay for it. No way I’m going to shell out money for lies.

Once again, CNN’s New Day is covering for the network’s preferred presidential candidate, Joe Biden, for not venturing out of the comfort of his basement. One would think that with the election eight days away, that Biden would be hitting the campaign trail and talking to the voters. Instead, as co-host Alisyn Camerota noted: “President Trump is holding three rallies in the critical state of Pennsylvania today. Joe Biden is back home in Delaware, but plans to campaign in Georgia tomorrow.”
It is honestly concerning how often the Biden campaign has called a lid before 10:00 in the morning. Most people are just getting into work at this time. In order to “prepare” for the last presidential debate, Biden called a lid for the entire week leading up to it. If only everyone was able to take off so much time to prepare for a big meeting.
This is in contrast with President Trump, whose whirlwind schedule includes hosting three rallies a day across the country. CNN criticized this move with senior political reporter Nia-Malika Henderson noting: “the picture of it, I think, goes against not only science, but what most Americans want to see, these big rallies with people outdoors and not wearing any masks and not social distancing either.”
