The suffering of this child was deeply saddening, but the story omitted extremely key information. MSNBC was using this child’s brutal and agonizing health complications with Short Bowel Syndrome to make the claim that Trump was “forcing” her out of the country and that she might die after a few days.

CNN is whipping out an exhausted climate doom mongering tactic: It’s the end of the world, but we won’t see it for a number of years!

Yeah, because Americans haven’t heard that one before right?

CNN climate and weather senior reporter Andrew Freedman harped on the idea that “[g]lobal temperatures are forecast to reach record or near-record levels during the next five years, setting the stage for more deadly extreme weather” due to global warming. Basing his climate propaganda on new crystal ball predictions by the World Meteorological Organization and the UK Met Office, Friedman was adamant that “[m]ore than 1.5 degrees of global warming increases the risks of more severe impacts, including triggering tipping points in the climate system. Melting sea ice and glaciers could soon reach a point of no return, with dramatic implications for sea level rise.”

Or it’s quite possible CNN will find no point to return when this prediction fails to pan out, as so many doom-mongering world-boiling reports have failed to come true since the 1990s.

Taylor Lorenz, a widely respected journalist who has worked for the New York Times and the Washington Post, and who recently appeared in an Emmy-nominated documentary series on CNN, has accused former transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg of supporting mass murder and “embrac[ing] far-right eugenics.” Lorenz, 40, previously accused former president Joe Biden of committing “war crimes” in Gaza and “genocide” in the United States (by failing to reinstate COVID-era masking policies). On Wednesday, she lashed out at Buttigieg on social media after the failed presidential candidate argued Democrats should not have been so averse to reopening schools during the 2020 pandemic.

“Pete saying he would have ‘opened the schools sooner’ in 2020 aka killing MORE vulnerable ppl faster, sacrificing teachers and educators (and kids!) lives to force them back into unventilated buildings [with] no protections,” Lorenz wrote on X, the immigrant-owned social media platform. “Disgusting how Dems have fully embraced far right eugenics.”

Lorenz’s view appears to be more in line with the one expressed by Pete’s husband, Chasten Buttigieg, in a July 2020 interview with Time magazine. “There’s already a flight risk of teachers fleeing the profession,” he said. “I don’t want to see teachers leaving the profession on gurneys.” Democrats, teachers’ unions, and their media allies routinely accused Republicans of wanting to murder children by opening schools too soon. They claimed to be on the side of “science,” even though they were not.

As its own future comes under threat by the Trump administration, a juxtaposition on National Public Radio’s homepage Tuesday (see photo) unwittingly showed just what kind of job losses NPR has sympathy for — DEI woke-work, not the manufacturing jobs that actually involve making things, and which happen to employ many Trump voters.

“Corporate America’s retreat from DEI has eliminated thousands of jobs” is an expanded “digital feature” version of a story by Maria Aspan for Tuesday’s Morning Edition. Over the airwaves, Aspan lamented “the numbers are pretty bleak. More than 2,600 jobs in diversity or DEI have been eliminated in the last couple of years.” She decried the “now very politicized job market” of DEI (which stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion).

Wasn’t it the left-wing DEI movement that politicized the job market?!

Liberals might support high immigration levels, and large numbers of foreign students in particular, simply because they like the new and unfamiliar—though it’s hard not to notice that foreign students typically pay more tuition and pad the bottom line of our colleges and universities, just as immigration on the whole gives liberals opportunities to court newcomers with social services and identity politics.

Yet supposedly hardheaded realists say it’s not liberal ideology but America’s need for more scientists and entrepreneurs that’s the real reason we have to open our campuses (and borders) to the world’s talents.

After all, if we don’t do that, where else are we going to get the brains we need to compete with China?

The trouble with this tale, which is an article of faith for The Economist and the likes of Bremmer, is that it’s patently false—and largely intended to deceive.

In fact, very few companies on the Fortune 500 were started solely by immigrants; almost all were founded by Americans, occasionally in partnership with émigrés.

The source for the factoid, the American Immigration Council, has to fudge the numbers by lumping “children of immigrants” into the same category as “immigrants,” even when those children are born American citizens.

As for competing with China, how can it be that China itself is so competitive when it accepts relatively few foreign students or immigrants?

Being in this contry illegally is a crime in itself, so there is no such thing as a non-criminal illegal immigrant–some are just more criminal than others.

Knowing my readership, I’m sure the commenters will engage in a spree of ad hominem remarks about Miss Sherman’s appearance, but while y’all will be slagging her looks, my concern is about the nature of her work. Mark Judge has a very interesting article about Miss Sherman and her forthcoming book, The Second Coming: Sex and the Next Generation’s Fight Over Its Future.

There’s a certain hall-of-mirrors factor involved here: When Miss Sherman was an undergraduate at Northwestern University, she and her sorority sisters were interviewed by Peggy Orenstein of the New York Times, who was working on a book about young women’s sex lives. Orenstein, then in her 50s, was focused on the theme of “hookup culture,” and Miss Sherman says she and her Northwestern sorority sisters disappointed Orenstein’s expectations: “Frankly, we weren’t slutty enough.” So now Miss Sherman has written her own book, with its own preconceived conclusion, i.e., that “sexual conservatism” is the real danger to women, and I suppose her work is about as reliable as Orenstein’s, which is to say, not reliable at all.

The newspaper business was created by men for men: “Tell us the facts. Let us know what’s going on. Don’t take all day about it; we’re busy.”  The Fox News trope says it all: “We report. You decide.” It’s all about the story. Watch the film His Girl Friday to see how that worked.

‘Journalism’, however, is a pseudo-profession that has been taken over by the female mindset: Start with a heart-warming (or tear-jerking) story that sets the emotional tone for the propaganda that follows. Every ‘journalism’ student ever says the same thing in response to the question, “Why are you in journalism school?”: “Because I want to make a difference!” It’s not about the story, it’s all about me. (And that’s why it takes forever to get to the point; we are all the stars of our own movies. The selfie is queen.) On Friday, ABC’s Selina Wang reported for World News Tonight the latest developments between the Trump Administration and Harvard. The latest battle is over Trump’s move to ban the school from enrolling foreign students, but based on Wang’s reports, someone might assume that Harvard is the only university in the country. At the same time, on NBC Nightly News, Andrea Mitchell echoed Harvard’s claim that the move was an assault on the First Amendment while providing precious little from the Trump perspective.

Wang began by recapping that, “Today, a federal judge temporarily blocking President Trump’s move to ban Harvard from enrolling international students writing, ‘the university showed it would cause immediate and irreparable injury.’”

The national media use polls the way they deploy all kinds of facts. They very carefully organize things to make it look like their worldview is winning. The legacy media’s coverage of the recent arrival of 49 white refugees from South Africa shows a lamentable hypocrisy compared with its reporting on the previous four years of the mass release of illegal immigrants at the border, their mass parole, and lax enforcement of immigration and deportation laws within our nation.

Unlike the border influx, which was from 180-plus countries, this small group was comprised of Afrikaners—the descendants of Dutch and other Europeans who started arriving in South Africa in 1652. (They are also called Boers, from the Dutch word for “farmer.”)

For years, the media parroted the Biden administration’s line that the millions of people he let in—who skewed young and male—were all deserving of our refuge. They hardly questioned the dogma that every one of these millions was persecuted—and innocent of any crime himself—back in his home country. Yet a recent Washington Post article (along with many others) covering the arrival of the Afrikaners in the United States was highly skeptical of their asylum claims.

Broadcast networks ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS still have yet to utter a single word about the radical left-wing politics of the man who allegedly gunned down two Israeli embassy employees on Wednesday evening in Washington D.C. In the first 24 hours after the attack, across their live-streaming and flagship morning and evening news programs, all of these networks, as well as MSNBC, stubbornly concealed both the shooter’s political leanings — including his membership with the radical left-wing Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) — from their audiences.

MRC analysts looked at all news coverage on left-leaning cable (CNN and MSNBC) and broadcast networks from 6:00 a.m. ET on Thursday through 8:59 a.m. ET Friday. Across all six channels, the only anchor, guest, or reporter to admit the alleged shooter was “left-wing” (or any similar terminology; see below for all search terms) was CNN’s Jake Tapper. Nobody else on CNN, let alone on MSNBC or any of the broadcast networks, cared to tie the attack to the political left.

Likewise, both the broadcast networks and MSNBC have completely hidden the alleged perpetrator’s PSL membership, once again making CNN the only network that even came close to doing its job of reporting the news.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lashed out on Thursday night at world leaders for spreading “Hamas’s propaganda” that Israel is starving Palestinian children, which culminated in the killing of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, D.C.

“A few days ago, a top U.N. official said that 14,000 Palestinian babies would die in 48 hours. You see many international institutions are complicit in spreading this lie,” Netanyahu said in a video posted on X.

The Trump administration on Thursday halted Harvard University’s ability to enroll international students, taking aim at a crucial funding source for the nation’s oldest and wealthiest college in a major escalation in the administration’s efforts to pressure the elite school to fall in line with the president’s agenda.

The administration notified Harvard about the decision after a back-and-forth in recent days over the legality of a sprawling records request as part of the Department of Homeland Security’s investigation, according to three people with knowledge of the negotiations. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

The latest move is likely to prompt a second legal challenge from Harvard, according to another person familiar with the school’s thinking who insisted on anonymity to discuss private deliberations. The university sued the administration last month over the government’s attempt to impose changes to its curriculum, admissions policies and hiring practices.

As NewsBusters was first to report, in April, the Associated Press was sued for defamation by U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young with combined damages possibly reaching $453 million. In a Monday filing obtained by NewsBusters, the AP via their lawyer Charles Tobin (who also represented CNN during Young’s successful defamation trial against them) requested that the court dismiss the case.

Throughout the filing, the AP referred to Young’s accusations as “meritless defamation claims” and asked Judge William Scott Henry of Florida’s 14th Judicial Circuit (who also oversaw the CNN trial) to “dismiss this lawsuit with prejudice under Florida’s Anti-SLAPP statute, which protect ‘the rights of free speech in connection with public issues.’”

Much has been made of The Associated Press getting the boot from the White House. It’s even sparked a protracted legal battle between AP and the Trump administration.

The AP’s sudden difficulty getting access to the president has been a long time coming as the news organization has drifted strongly to the left in recent years.

What’s equally important to note is the recent shift in AP’s funding model, which increasingly relies on donations from, in many cases, far-left advocacy organizations.

Take, for instance, a recent AP story on the budget reconciliation bill making its way through Congress and the inclusion of a $5 billion school voucher program.

The story is framed with the assumption that school choice policies are harmful.

The AP reporter called the inclusion of school choice policies in the bill an “unprecedented effort to use public money to pay for private education” and presented a somewhat lopsided case why choice in general is bad.

One of the sources of commentary criticizing the bill in the piece is Sasha Pudelski, advocacy director for the School Superintendents Association, a government employee union, and co-chair of NoVouchers.org.

Hannah Arendt coined the term “banality of evil” while covering the trial of Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem in 1961. She noted that Eichmann was not the cartoonish villain one expected, given the accusations against him. Instead, he appeared to be a normal man who performed the tasks assigned to him, without having any ideological or emotional attachment to them. This led Arendt to argue that evil could be the result of the work of ordinary people who were not inherently malicious.

Her formulation turned out to be useful to generations of evil people who used this framework to accuse ordinary Americans of being evil, for the crime of living their lives as white people. That was probably why the line became so popular, but that does not strip it of its truth value. Human systems are capable of turning the ordinary acts of the people in the system toward evil ends, even though the people themselves may not be evil in the ordinary way we think of it.

This is the subtext to the broad indictment of managerialism. The fascists, understood through the lens of managerialism, created a ruthless machine, animated by ideology, that dehumanized their society. The Soviets were close behind in creating a communist machine that forced everyone into the moral framework of the ideology. Those who could not fit into the ideology were destroyed. This is what made fascism and communism evil. They mechanized and normalized brutality.

CNN host Jake Tapper has been under fire since announcing he was writing a book about President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and the extensive “cover-up” to convince American voters they were too dumb to see what was happening with their own two eyes. Many have pointed out that Tapper, his network, and the mainstream media in general were active participants in the scandal. They neglected to report on Biden’s decline, allowed themselves to be cowed into submission by White House aides, and attacked anyone who suggested the president wasn’t fit to serve, which he was not. Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again finally came out on Tuesday, further inflaming critics who are disgusted by what they see as Tapper’s attempt to profit by “exposing” an obvious reality—after the fact—despite helping to conceal that reality when it mattered most.

Tapper, renowned in political circles for his aggressively defensive response to criticism, hired Risa Heller, a crisis communications expert, to assist with the book rollout and teach the CNN host how to be “nicer” to critics. She has advised a slew of shady characters including Zoom masturbator Jeffrey Toobin, dick-pic peddler Anthony Weiner, and former CNN boss Jeff Zucker, the office romance maestro who gave Jake his seven-figure contract and turned him into an anti-Trump avenger. Early indications suggest Tapper might be heeding some of Heller’s advice. Last week he described “some of the criticism” of his Biden coverage as “fair,” acknowledging he didn’t do “enough” to cover Biden’s cognitive impairment. “I look back on it with humility,” he said, unconvincingly.

A comprehensive review of Tapper’s past coverage of Biden’s decline suggests that far more humility is required than the CNN host is prepared to convey, especially when viewed in light of the details recounted in Original Sin. CNN has claimed that Tapper “fairly and accurately covered” Biden’s entire career “through years of dogged Washington reporting.” The evidence laid out below in what some have described as the official “Tapper Dossier” shows otherwise.

This week marks the 40th anniversary of Philadelphia confronting the radical black group MOVE in an incendiary assault that killed 11 people, including five children, and destroyed a residential block. PBS News Weekend on Saturday marked the anniversary of with a dose of radical chic, omitting unflattering details about the bizarre urban enclave MOVE.

PBS spent six minutes and 40 seconds on this, even as they have ignored the Jake Tapper-Alex Thompson book on hiding Biden’s decline. There were no ideological labels, unless you count MOVE touting themselves in a clip as “revolutionary.”

On Tuesday, CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s new book, Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, is officially out. Prior to its release, bombshells were dropped about how Biden didn’t recognize longtime associates, even actor George Clooney.

So how much time did the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS) devote to the recitation of Biden’s shortcomings long known by conservatives but suppressed by Tapper and his press colleagues?

MRC analysts looked at ABC, CBS and NBC’s evening and morning news programs, as well as PBS’s News Hour from May 13 through the morning of May 19 and found they spent a grand total of 7 minutes and 16 seconds on the reporting from Tapper and his co-author Alex Thompson.

Most of that coverage (6 minutes, 17 seconds) was aired on NBC. ABC only spent 37 seconds on the topic. CBS offered just 22 seconds on the Tapper book disclosures. PBS’s News Hour did nothing on the Tapper/Thompson book.

The broadcast networks swept it all under the rug just as they hid Biden’s decline before he dropped out of the 2024 race.

These networks have covered up their own cover-up.

Amid running tensions with President Donald Trump and facing a lawsuit on alleged campaign rigging for doctoring a Vice President Kamala Harris interview, CBS News President Wendy McMahon is stepping down, according to reports.

“It’s become clear the company and I do not agree on the path forward,” McMahon wrote in a memo, The New York Times reported Monday.

Jake Tapper has been blasted by conservatives for extreme hypocrisy for writing a book about the coverup of Joe Biden’s mental decline when, in fact, it was Tapper himself who was one of the perpetrators of that very coverup.

They are angry at Tapper for writing about Biden’s loss of mental cognizance because it detracts from their cause of slamming Donald Trump. Liberals considered Jake Tapper to have been an ally because he clearly demonstrated media bias in their favor. However, the urge to make a quick buck exposing a coverup in which he himself participated overrode his usual liberal leanings.
