The Worst of the Worst

13th July 2025

Power Line.

As far as I can tell from my deep dive into the illegal immigration issue, the Feds really are concentrating their efforts on the worst cases. Yet, the typical media headline, this one from NPR, reads,

Sharpest growth in ICE detention population: people with no criminal convictions.

Obviously, this definition excludes any convictions having to do with the illegal immigration itself. By “no” they refer to convictions only in the United States.

And by using “convictions” they exclude a huge population of aliens charged with other serious crimes but deported before the local judicial system has run its course.

Illegal entry into the United States is a criminal act, as the name implies. But it is considered a misdemeanor, and usually prosecuted as a civil matter through Federal Immigration Court, a division of the U.S. Dept. of Justice.

If you return to the U.S. after being previously deported, that is a separate crime, a felony under U.S. law. For the past few weeks, I’ve been tracking such cases in the U.S. District Court of Minnesota.

I’ve been tracking 60 of the cases filed in the District since Pres. Trump began his second term. Which is admittedly a drop in the bucket considering there are easily more than 100,000 illegal aliens in Minnesota. The last rigorous study of the phenomenon (using 2019 data) counted only 81,000. Of those, the plurality are from Mexico. Add in illegals from El Salvador and Guatemala, and you have the majority.

Gross: ABC, CNN Reporters Hijack Texas Flooding Presser to Demand Scalp For Deaths

8th July 2025

Newsbuster.

Tuesday morning’s Kerr County, Texas press conference on last week’s apocalyptic floods flew off the rails because of the showboating antics of ABC and CNN’s reporters on scene — ABC with Matt Gutman and CNN with both Shimon Prokupecz and Isabelle Rosales — shouting at local officials (and, at one point, each other) and demanding heads roll for the death toll that crossed north of 100 people.

Rosales started things off, twice asking officials to “outline what specific discussions and actions were taken between the time the first flood emergency came in at 1:14 a.m. and then when the river first started flooding its banks hours later.”

Channeling Jim Acosta, Gutman jumped in: “With all due respect, sir, I think that the community here is asking these questions. What happened? When did it happen? Was it emergency manager awake at the time? Did they push the button to issue an emergency alert?”

Anytime a reporter blurts “with all due respect” out of nowhere, it’s a sign it is not, in fact, respectful or just asking question.

Leitha scoffed back, seeming to recall Gutman at past press conferences: “Sir, it’s not that easy when you — and you just push a button, okay? There’s a lot more to that. And we’ve told you several times.”

Israeli Plan for Forced Transfer of Gaza’s Population ‘A Blueprint for Crimes Against Humanity’

8th July 2025

The Guardian, paper of record for the looney left.

As opposed to the Gaza population’s plan to exterminate every Jew they can get their hands on? That doesn’t involve ‘crimes against humanity, of course, Jews are (per the Koran) ‘dogs and monkeys’.

Hate to break the news to the AWFULs at The Guardian, but there is no humanity left in the population of Gaza.

LA Mayor Condemns Border Force for Armed “Sweep” of Child’s Football Pitch

8th July 2025

The Times (UK).

Unfortunately, British newspapers are as bad as the American Narrative Media when it comes to accepting the statements of politicians at face value.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass on Monday (July 7) condemned reported federal immigration enforcement activity in MacArthur Park, calling it an effort to instill fear in the city’s immigrant communities.

Once again, the missing word is ‘illegal’. ‘Immigrant communities’ have nothing to fear so long as they are here legally. This is a vital distinction that Democrats MUST obfuscate in their campaign to portray the effort to get rid of illegals as being somehow aimed at all immigrants, which it is explicitly not.

“I do not believe that anyone was detained. Maybe they were. But then again, I don’t think the goal is to detain. I think the goal is to spread fear. I think that’s what it is. It’s to terrorize Angelenos. It’s the say to immigrants that are in our city of immigrants, that they need to stay home. They shouldn’t go to work. They shouldn’t go to school because we’re coming after you,” she said.

The Law of Liberal Projection tells us that Bass is compelled to think that ‘the goal is to spread fear’ because that’s why she would be doing it in their place. She is mentally incapable of perceiving any other motivation.

Top MAGA Voices Stunned by Trump Administration Debunking Epstein Theories

8th July 2025

Axios, a Voice of the Crust.

The MAGA movement erupted in disbelief Monday after top administration officials said convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein had not blackmailed elite figures, kept a “client list” or was murdered in prison.

*sigh* There is no ‘MAGA movement’. MAGA is a phrase created by Trump to encapsulate his approach to governance. The Left, obsessed with ‘movements’, is firmly convinced that everybody everywhere is part of some ‘movement’. Trump has supporters, true, and those supporters share his vision for America, but there is no ‘movement’ except in the sense that they all tend to proceed in the same direction–behind Trump (which can be difficult at times).

This leads to serious stupidity, like persisting in thinking Steve Bannon is somehow part of (and, even more stupid, somehow a spokesperson for) the ‘MAGA movement’ despite the fact that Trump threw him overboard a long, long time ago.

It’s a real head-scratcher how he people who spend their daytime hours wringing their hands over ‘conspiracy theories’ aren the chief generators of equally silly conspiracy theories on the part of the Left.

AP Fact-Checks Trump’s JOKE on Evading Alligators at ‘Alligator Alcatraz’

6th July 2025

Newsbusters.

You have to love the humorless leftist media when President Donald Trump is fact-checked over his joking statement regarding alligators when he toured the “Alligator Alcatraz” detention center in Florida.

“We’re going to teach them how to run away from an alligator if they escape prison. Don’t run in a straight line. Run like this,” Trump said, as he moved his hand in a zigzag motion. “And you know what? Your chances go up about 1%.” AP felt they had to fact-check the joke:

Alligator experts suggest it is better to dash in one direction in the rare situation when the reptile gives chase, according to a website run by the University of Florida.

This was amplified by leftist websites like RawStory. They headlined it: “Trump’s guide to outrunning alligator gets fact-check — he wouldn’t make it far.”

CNN Stunned as Majority of Americans Back Trump’s Mass Deportation Plan

6th July 2025

Read it.

The Supreme Court handed the Trump administration a major deportation victory on Thursday. On the same day, the GOP-led House passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in a narrow 218–214 vote—legislation that paves the way for over one million deportations annually. Meanwhile, the first illegals arrived at “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Florida Everglades, with outbound flights soon to follow. With these massive wins stacking up, Trump has secured yet another victory: the hearts of the American people, who overwhelmingly support this effort to restore national security.

Let’s start with news from the Supreme Court. In short, the nation’s highest court ruled that an activist lower-court judge had severely overstepped by attempting to block the deportation of eight criminal illegal migrants to South Sudan, despite a prior order from the high court authorizing the removal.

In a 7–2 decision, the Supreme Court sharply rebuked U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy—an appointee from the radical leftist Biden-Harris regime era—for defying its June 23 ruling, which permitted Trump officials to proceed with deportations of criminal illegal aliens to third-world countries. The majority held that Murphy lacked the authority to enforce a previous injunction that the justices had already stayed.

PolitiFact Refuses to Budge on Mamdani’s Communist Talk

5th July 2025

Newsbusters.

Last week, we reported on how PolitiFact threw a “False” flag at President Trump for calling New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani a “communist lunatic,” despite contrary evidence, like his 2020 tweet in support of a communist mayor in India, suggesting that’s the kind of mayor New York needs. On Thursday, in reaction to a White House spokesperson, PolitiFact doubled down on its ruling, dismissing Mamdani’s clearly Marxist talk of seizing the means of production.

The distinction between a socialist and a communist matters only to another socialist/communist. Splitting hairs over political nuances on the Left are of no importance when the consequences for their victims are much the same.

Bill Moyers, the Face of Taxpayer-Funded Propaganda

3rd July 2025

The Foundry.

NPR anchor Scott Simon hailed Moyers as “one of the signature figures, along with Big Bird and Susan Stamberg, who helped build public broadcasting in the United States.” Simon added, “He won the most prestigious awards of our profession, some in bunches—more than 30 Emmys, 11 Peabodys, two Columbia-duPonts, plus many other honors for his PBS documentaries and interviews.”

Moyers was acclaimed by other leftists because he was a die-hard leftist. Objectivity was never observed. He crusaded on the public dime against those villainous conservatives. He won Emmy Awards just like the latest prizes to “60 Minutes”—for hating Donald Trump and laboring to elect Kamala Harris. They award having your “heart in the right place.”

Moyers was the “signature figure” of everything wrong with “public” broadcasting. He savaged conservatives and also lined his own pockets with revenues of his programs being sold on PBS Home Video. He used his PBS fame to sell expensive coffee-table books, just as Ken Burns does today. But the notable quotes were outrageous.

Moyers was a servant of JBJ, who famously said, as he was singing the Civil Rights Act, “Those niggers will vote for us for a hundred years.”

USAID Cuts Could Lead to 14 Million Deaths Over the Next Five Years, Researchers Say

1st July 2025

NBC News, a Voice of the Crust.

Researchers say! That proves it!

An analysis published Monday in the medical journal The Lancet projects that cuts to the agency will lead to more deaths from diseases like AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.

Because, as we all know, preventing deaths from diseases like AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis are TOTALLY the responsibility of the Federal government (sorry, Bill Gates) and the Federal taxpayer.

UPDATE: ‘Millions will die’ (Power Line)

From the U.K. Daily Mail,

More than 14 million people could die as a result of Donald Trump’s foreign aid cuts, a new study has found.

The US President’s administration announced it had slashed 83 per cent of programmes run by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) shortly after he returned to the White House for a second term.

And now research published in the leading medical journal, Lancet, has predicted that 14 million people – 4.5 million of whom are children under the age of five – could die by 2030 as a result.

There are something like 195 independent nations on the planet, and not a single one, other than America, is capable of helping any of the others. No one. Not a single Euro, Yen, pound, franc, peso, etc., can be freed up to prevent mass genocide on a biblical scale.

The Trump administration is building a national citizenship data system (NPR)  They say that like it was a bad thing. So CNN, Where’s that Stock Market ‘Great Depression’ You Were Bleating About in April?

28th June 2025

Newsbusters.

The stock market continues to go gangbusters, so MRC Business thought it would be worth revisiting one of CNN’s dumbest End-of-the-World predictions about the Trump presidency to date.

The Wall Street Journal reported June 27 that the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite indexes both hit record highs after the open on June 27. The newspaper summarized that “investors increasingly discounted the economic threat posed by the trade war and Middle East instability.

The gains mark a historic rebound from April’s tariff-driven turmoil.” Specifically, the S&P 500 added 0.6 percent to 6,177.14 while the Nasdaq spiked 0.5 percent to approximately 20,218, as CNBC noted, which called the S&P 500 rebound from its April lows “remarkable.”

The timing is certainly remarkable, given that it was on April 22 when CNN Business Executive Editor David Goldman went on an unhinged rant about the supposed destruction President  Donald Trump was supposedly unleashing on the stock market. “Trump’s stock market is throwing off some jaw-dropping statistics. How extraordinary? We’re now making comparisons to the Great Depression,” Goldman spewed, channeling CNBC Mad Money host and “Prophet of Oops” Jim Cramer.

WashPost PUFFS First Trans Lawyer at SCOTUS; NY Times Adds Troubling Reality for Democrats

24th June 2025

Newsbusters.

The headline deck to the June 16 piece by Jesús Rodríguez for the Washington Post, a profile of the first transgender lawyer to argue before the Supreme Court, heralded the gush to come.

Soon after publication, the Supreme Court ruled against Strangio’s side in the case of U.S. vs Skrmetti, as the ACLU lawyer and trans man (biological woman) failed to persuade the court that a Tennessee law blocking doctors from providing what Rodriguez called “gender-affirming medical treatment” (i.e. genital mutilation) to teenagers was unconstitutional.

Rodriguez took the left-wing line that conservatives started the transgender culture war (“the political right had tried to use them as a wedge issue”), not the biological male trans-activists demanding access to women’s sports and women’s bathrooms.

‘Fascism Is Not a Side’: Journalists Strategize to Expose the ‘Extremism’ on the Right

23rd June 2025

The Foundry.

When Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk goes to speak on campus and attracts a large following, that’s not the story—the story is how the Right conspired to open the door to his “extremism,” according to journalists presenting at an investigative reporting conference.

David Armiak, research director at the Center for Media and Democracy, and Kyle Spencer, a former New York Times contributor and the CEO of the Pro-Democracy Information Lab, coached a room full of 124 reporters and editors on “Tracking Right-Wing Influencers and Movements” at the Investigative Reporters and Editors Conference in New Orleans on Friday. Robert Downen, a Texas Monthly senior writer, moderated the panel. (The conference counted 124 attendees at one point in the panel, though people came and went throughout.)

Armiak recounted seeing Kirk at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s library mall last fall. He saw Kirk “in the center of campus with frat bros all around him, you know, spewing anti-trans, anti-LGBTQ+ talking points” and campaigning for Donald Trump.

OF COURSE: ABC Links Lander’s Performative Arrest to Padilla’s Stunt

18th June 2025

Newsbusters.

Covering politicians getting themselves performatively arrested these days is not unlike watching an outbreak: first one patient, then another, until the whole town is infected. And as is the case with their outbreak coverage, the media are excessively hyping these performative arrests.

Case in point: ABC World News Tonight as they covered the stunt arrest of New York City Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander, who attempted to obstruct ICE from arresting an illegal alien that he was escorting to and from immigration court. Here is that report in its entirety:

First off, you’ll note that although Katresky begins his narration of Landers’ arrest with the arm linking, the video shown by ABC omits that. Unless viewers also saw the original video of the arrest, there is the potential for confusion. This is by design. Compare this video featuring the full arrest in its context with what you saw on ABC.

This sleight of hand allows for an easier establishment of a persecution narrative, particularly as ICE prepares to conduct more raids in cities like New York.

Then there is the matter of Padilla. Katersky runs the comparison to Padilla’s Los Angeles crashout, attempting to establish parallels between the two. Padilla showed up to the Senate floor and delivered his emotional remarks. Katersky closes out the report by linking the arrests to an “uptick in ICE arrests in immigration courts.”

It sounds nice, but that’s not what happened. Lander got arrested for obstructing an arrest, and Padilla got busted for trying to crash a press conference in order to ask questions without first identifying himself. Once again, ABC gaslights its public: this time, in order to further fuel anti-ICE sentiment by casting these arrested politicians as Resistance martyrs. Buyer beware.

MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle Says ‘Truth Matters,’ Lies Four Minutes Later

18th June 2025

Newsbusters.

MSNBC’s 11th Hour host, Stephanie Ruhle, kicked off Monday night’s show by saying, “So please remember, the truth matters, but only if you hear it, so let’s get started covering the truth.” A great quote from the leftist propaganda machine that was MSNBC. The joke wrote itself in this instance, because four minutes later Ruhle and her guests spewed biased rhetoric on President Trump and the entire Republican Party.

In a conversation with David Rucker of The Bulwark, Ruhle claimed she didn’t want to call the political violence normalized, and then in the same sentence called it far more prominent and prevalent? Leading to this exchange:
