The Democratic Party saw an excessive loss of registered voters across battleground states, blue states, and red states over the course of Joe Biden’s presidency, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

Democrats lost about 2.1 million registered voters between the 2020 and 2024 elections along the 30 states and the District of Columbia where voters register with a party. Republicans gained 2.4 million voters in those states.

The newspaper did the analysis using information compiled by L2, a nonpartisan data firm.

This marks the first time since 2018 that more new voters chose to register as Republicans than Democrats.

People like nothing better than to see an arrogant bureaucrat get cut down to size after screaming the words “Don’t you know who I am?” This is essentially what Rhode Island State Prosecutor and Democrat, Devon Flanigan, did when she faced off with police after allegedly refusing to leave a Newport dining establishment.

The woman, seemingly under the influence, tried to order officers to shut off their body cams as she stood outside the restaurant, stating that she knew their protocols and that they were required to do so by law (there is no such law in Rhode Island). Officers ignored the demand and asked Flanigan to leave the premises, only to be bombarded with arguments and declarations that “she is an AG”.

Illinois has until Thursday to provide the Justice Department with more voter information about whether it’s complying with federal law on maintaining voter registration lists.

The state, which has had a reputation for voter fraud cases, provided partial information, but only information that is already publicly available.

On Monday, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, a Democrat, took a more hardline stance. He declined to say if the State Board of Elections should provide more information to the Justice Department but accused the Trump administration of hunting for dead voters.

“Well, it’s clear why they’re hunting around for voter data, right? They’re trying to say that in the next election, that there will be fraud because they know they’re going to lose,” Pritzker told reporters, Capitol News Illinois reported. “They are looking, essentially, to say that, well, we found somebody who died who’s still on the rolls, and therefore, there’s fraud, and therefore, these elections are fraudulent and should be overturned.”

First, Texas House Democrats refused to meet in their legislative chamber in an act of resistance. Now, one of them won’t leave.

State Rep. Nicole Collier of Fort Worth on Monday said she will remain locked in the Austin statehouse chamber until the House reconvenes on Wednesday morning.

She is making the move after she refused conditions set by Republican leaders that would have required her to sign off on a law enforcement escort before being allowed to go home after Monday’s session.

It’s another dramatic turn in the two-week saga involving Texas state House Democrats who fled to other states earlier this month, with most of them taking refuge in Illinois. The plan denied a quorum for Republicans to move forward during a special legislative session with a redraw of Texas’ congressional map, an act aimed at padding the GOP’s U.S. House majority.

“I refuse to sign away my dignity as a duly elected representative just so Republicans can control my movements and monitor me with police escorts,” Collier said in a statement that called her a “political prisoner” for refusing Republican “surveillance protocol.”

A Texas judge has tightened the legal vise on former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, slapping him and his political group, Powered by People, with an expanded restraining order that also ropes in ActBlue and any banks handling their funds.

The move came Saturday after Attorney General Ken Paxton filed an urgent motion a day earlier, accusing O’Rourke’s outfit of funneling cash to Democrats who fled the state to derail redistricting votes.

Eight days ago, a district court first barred O’Rourke’s group from raising or distributing money to the runaway lawmakers. But the Democrat firebrand thumbed his nose at the order – holding rallies, posting fundraising videos online, and defiantly declaring, “Still here, still raising and rallying to stop the steal of 5 congressional seats in Texas.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott immediately called another special session to pass a new congressional map, after the first attempt failed due to Texas Democrats leaving the state to deny Republicans the ability to carve out additional GOP seats.

When Speaker Dustin Burrows gaveled into the second special session, which began just two hours after the first one wrapped, he announced that the chamber yet again did not meet quorum, thanks to Democrats remaining out of state to protest the redraw. President Donald Trump ordered Texas Republicans to extract five more seats in Congress to increase the odds that Republicans retain the House in the midterms.

Abbott’s proclamation was largely the same as the first one, which lays out 19 agenda items, including redistricting and disaster relief for Central Texas flood victims.

More details on California Democrats’ proposed overhaul to the state congressional map are coming to light in advance of the official release of the new boundaries.

State lawmakers were briefed Wednesday evening on the expected partisan tilt of all 52 congressional districts, providing the clearest view yet of which Republican districts they are targeting. The changes, which are not yet final, were detailed in a chart obtained by POLITICO and confirmed by multiple legislators and staffers.

Texas Democrats on Thursday moved closer to ending a nearly two-week walkout that has blocked the GOP’s redrawing of U.S. House maps before the 2026 election and put them under escalating threats by Republicans back home.

The Democrats announced they will return provided that Texas Republicans end a special session and California releases its own redrawn map proposal, both of which were expected to happen Friday.

Democrats are claiming the Texas state legislature is attempting to “rig the midterm elections” despite an analysis demonstrating that Democrat-led states disenfranchise Republican voters on a massive scale through gerrymandering.

Across the nation, prominent (and ambitious) Democrat governors like Gavin Newsom (CA), J.B. Pritzker (IL), and Kathy Hochul (NY) are making political hay by claiming Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) is committing an “insurrection” and disenfranchising Democrat voters in his heavily red state through his plan for a rare mid-decade redistricting that would net Republicans more seats.

Despite the performative pearl-clutching, the numbers show all three of those Democrat governors — and many more — benefit from aggressive gerrymandering and redistricting practices.

Last month This past California Federal District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong issued a temporary restraining order more or less preventing ICE from operating in California’s Central District — the covering the seven counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. The counties’ population of nearly 20 million people is the largest of any federal judicial district in the country. I wrote about Judge Frimpong’s crimping of ICE in posts that are accessible here.

The procedural background is addressed at pages 8-14. The government discusses the Ninth Circuit’s disposition of its request for relief, but it’s not clear to me that the Ninth Circuit even had appellate jurisdiction over Judge Frimpong’s temporary restraining order.

A Texas judge has temporarily blocked Beto O’Rourke’s shady fundraising campaign to bankroll “runaway Democrats”—the group of state legislators who fled Texas to stall redistricting efforts.

On Friday, Tarrant County District Judge Megan Fahey issued a temporary injunction against O’Rourke and his group, Powered by People, barring them from raising funds or covering expenses for the Democrats while a lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton moves forward.

The order came just hours after Paxton sued O’Rourke and Powered by People, accusing them of misleading donors by falsely advertising the campaign as a political effort rather than a slush fund for personal expenses.

In her ruling, Fahey said the court found “imminent harm” that could cause the state to be irreparably injured, meeting the threshold for such an order.

Oh, I don’t know–seems like fewer Democrat politicians is a feature, not a bug.

Back in 2020 and under President Joe Biden, the institutional Left would tell anyone foolish enough to listen that we needed to add seats to the Supreme Court. In October 2024, however, much of the court-packing rhetoric vanished, almost on cue.

Now, it’s back, as Democrats strain to find any reason to claim they’re getting slighted while President Donald Trump seeks to restore fairness by correcting the errors of the 2020 census.

James Carville, the Democrat political strategist best known for helping Bill Clinton get elected, decided to remind Americans why they can’t trust the Left. He brought up court-packing and more.

“If the Democrats win the presidency, the Senate, and the House in 2028 … they are just going to have to unilaterally add Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia as states,” Carville said on the show “Politics War Room” Thursday. “The Constitution gives Congress power over federal elections, I don’t think they can redistrict, but there are things they can do. … And they may have to expand the court to 13 members.”

A federal appeals court Friday shut down Judge James Boasberg’s attempt to pursue criminal contempt charges against figures in the Trump administration.

In a 2-1 ruling, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia said that Boasberg’s orders were overly “ambiguous” and left too much room for interpretation. The panel also found that Boasberg’s attempt to hold administration officials in contempt for failing to follow an order that was later overturned by the Supreme Court was unprecedented.

“The district court’s order exceeds the contempt power and intrudes on the powers of the Executive Branch,” Judge Neomi Rao, a Trump appointee, wrote in the ruling obtained by The Washington Times.

A federal judge on Thursday ruled President Donald Trump’s administration can’t bar citizenship from children born to people in the country illegally or temporarily, the fourth such court decision blocking Trump’s birthright citizenship order nationwide since the June U.S. Supreme Court ruling.

News broke Wednesday that a U.S.-based executive at a luxury electric carmaker gave tens of thousands of dollars to the campaign of Democrat Virginia gubernatorial candidate and former CIA officer Abigail Spanberger. While that wouldn’t normally make news, the executive has been listed as a member of the Chinese Communist Party.

Alana Goodman of The Washington Free Beacon first reported that Pin Ni, the president of Wanxiang America, donated $50,000 over two contributions to the Spanberger campaign. The donations occurred in April and May, according to campaign finance disclosures.

As you’ve probably heard, Texas Republicans have proposed redistricting their state to favor the Republican Party in their state legislature. Texas Democrats realize that they’ll lose this vote, so they’ve decided to do a series of town halls and other presentations around the state, explaining why gerrymandering is bad, and why the voters should put an end to this practice.

Ha! Just kidding, of course. Texas Democrats realize that they’ll lose this vote, so they left the state to prevent the Republicans from having a quorum, so they can’t pass anything. Ironically, they went to Illinois, which is one of the most heavily gerrymandered states in the country.

Rich Lowry has a great article up in which he points out that Illinois Republicans won nearly 44% of the vote, but only about 17% of the state House seats. California Republicans won nearly 40% of the vote, but only about 17% of the House seats.

Democrats don’t want to stop gerrymandering. They want to control gerrymandering because they understand how powerful it is. There are no Democrat states. There are only Democrat cities.

If Democrats don’t gerrymander, then Congress would more closely represent the views of the American people. This would obviously be disastrous for Democrats. So they don’t want to stop it. That would remove any influence they have in Congress. So all they can do is try to prevent the Republicans from doing the same thing.

I was talking to a Democrat patient yesterday – he was furious about Republican efforts to gerrymander Texas.  I agreed with him, saying that we should ban gerrymandering completely.  He looked at me for a second, then said, “You’re a Republican.  Of course you would say that.”

Imagine being a Democrat voter and supporting gerrymandering so that the American government will NOT represent the will of the people.

I’ve spent a lot of time over the past 10 years or so trying to understand the thinking of leftists.  I figured that once I understood their thought process, I would become more sympathetic to them.

I was wrong.

Applying the principle that actions speak louder than words, we can see that most Democrats put America last. Usually, they don’t say it out loud, but occasionally, a Democrat will say the unsayable, perhaps in a foreign language. Thus, we have Rep. Delia Ramirez, a Democrat from Illinois, telling a crowd in Mexico City–in Spanish–“I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American.”

The Russiagate scandal has long been one of the most convoluted, hard-to-follow news stories of all time. It even has multiple names thanks to its peculiar chronology. From 2016 until April 2019 — while Democrats still held out hope of “presidency-wrecking” revelations that would topple Donald Trump — it was generally known as the Trump-Russia scandal. After Special Counsel Robert Mueller broke the hearts of MSNBC audiences by issuing a report without new indictments, attention began to be cast on the scandal’s fraudulent construction, how it was propped up by political spying, illegal leaks, and WMD-style intelligence fakery. Trump and others began to call it Spygate or the Russia hoax, but the name that stuck was Russiagate.

Alex Marlow, editor in chief of Breitbart News, has written a book titled Breaking the Law: Exposing the Weaponization of America’s Legal System Against Donald Trump. It hits bookstores tomorrow. Marlow’s theme is that the multiple criminal and civil cases that were brought against Trump before the 2024 election were coordinated from the Joe Biden White House. The whole thing was a Democratic Party put-up job.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, a Democrat, has vowed to protect the cadre of Texas Democrats who fled to his state to prevent the Legislature from redrawing the Lone Star State’s congressional map.

At least 57 Democrats have left Texas for Illinois, New York, and Massachusetts to thwart legislation in the Texas House on the redistricting that could net Republicans five more congressional seats in next year’s midterms.

“They’re here in Illinois. We’re going to do everything we can to protect every single one of them and make sure that — ’cause we know they’re doing the right thing, we know that they’re following the law,” Pritzker told reporters at a press conference Sunday.

Funny how one never sees Republicans do this sort of adolescent shit. “Mooommmeee! Johnny hit me BACK!” Democrats really need to grow up.

Democrats may have just realized that having “orange man bad” as their sole political message for the past 10 years was a really bad idea. In a surprisingly blunt segment on CNN News Central, the show’s hosts acknowledged what many Americans have long suspected: the Democratic Party was “a complete and utter mess” as they looked toward the 2028 presidential election. With no frontrunner, deep internal disarray, and record-low favorability ratings; you knew things were bad when even CNN sounded the alarm.

The analysis was sparked by former Vice President Kamala Harris’s return to the national stage to promote her book on her campaign for president in 2024. While co-anchor Kate Bolduan made sure to note that Harris had not ruled out a future presidential run, CNN’s senior data reporter Harry Enten wasted no time in downplaying her chances. “The chance that Kamala Harris is going to be the 2028 Democratic nominee. They don’t look too good right now, to be perfectly honest with you,” he asserted.

The digital deluge is a familiar annoyance for anyone on a Democratic fundraising list. It’s a relentless cacophony of bizarre texts and emails, each one more urgent than the last, promising that your immediate $15 donation is the only thing standing between democracy and the abyss.

The main rationale offered for this fundraising frenzy is that it’s a necessary evil—that the tactics, while unpleasant, are brutally effective at raising the money needed to win. But an analysis of the official FEC filings tells a very different story. The fundraising model is not a brutally effective tool for the party; it is a financial vortex that consumes the vast majority of every dollar it raises.

We all have that one obscure skill we’ve inadvertently maxed out. Mine happens to be navigating the labyrinth of campaign finance data. So, after documenting the spam tactics in a previous article, I told myself I’d just take a quick look to see who was behind them and where the money was going.

That “quick look” immediately pulled me in. The illusion of a sprawling grassroots movement, with its dozens of different PAC names, quickly gave way to a much simpler and more alarming reality. It only required pulling on a single thread—tracing who a few of the most aggressive PACs were paying—to watch their entire manufactured world unravel. What emerged was not a diverse network of activists, but a concentrated ecosystem built to serve the firm at its center: Mothership Strategies.

Before Barack Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan and 50 other intelligence analysts deceived Americans in the run-up to the 2020 election by warning that Hunter Biden’s laptop had “all the earmarks of a classic Russian information operation” – and before Obama, Brennan, Obama’s FBI Director James Comey, and National Intelligence Director James Clapper falsified an Intelligence Community Assessment in December 2016 to destabilize Donald Trump’s first term – there was Hillary Clinton.

The media’s focus these days is on President Trump’s possible cameo in the so-called “Epstein files” and Obama’s role in advancing the Russia collusion hoax. These stories crossed when DNI Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe released compelling evidence that six weeks before his term concluded, Obama pressed the intelligence community to ignore its previous assessments and instead rely on the sham Steele dossier and an ambiguous and unverifiable sentence fragment to smear Trump and undermine his presidency before it began.

But let’s not forget the Clinton campaign’s role in this kabuki dance.

Clinton, not Obama, was Trump’s opponent in the 2016 election. As we learned last week from the declassification of reports issued by Gabbard and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, the weight of the heretofore concealed evidence is that if Putin had a preference, it was most likely Clinton – not the wildcard first-time officeholder who surprised the world by winning.

I’d still like to see that toad behind bars.

What happens when U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement rescues 14 children from labor exploitation and exposure to sex offenders in marijuana fields? Surely, this would be a moment for mental clarity and political cohesion, where federal law enforcement officials are recognized for their good work.

That was not what happened. Instead, Democrat leaders rushed to their soapboxes to condemn the agents. They decried the raid as “militarized,” “traumatizing” and “disproportionate” and framed ICE’s enforcement effort as the problem.

What ICE found when it raided two marijuana farms in Ventura County, California, on July 10 was not a peaceful agricultural operation; it was a crime scene where they were met with hostility and violence.

Fourteen children were found working in the fields (the youngest was 14), along with more than 360 illegal alien workers, including multiple felons convicted of crimes involving kidnapping, rape and child molestation.

Protesters at the scene responded by throwing rocks and asphalt at ICE vehicles. A masked demonstrator even fired a gun at agents before fleeing.

Yet Democrats focused not on the horrible working conditions and threats to children but rather on condemning the ICE raid.

Democrats have never forgiven Republicans for freeing their slaves.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he will begin trying to remove Democratic lawmakers from office Monday if they don’t return after dozens of them left the state in a last-resort attempt to block redrawn U.S. House maps that President Donald Trump wants before the 2026 midterm elections.

The revolt by the state House Democrats, many of whom went to Illinois or New York on Sunday, and Abbott giving them less than 24 hours to come home ratcheted up a widening fight over congressional maps that began in Texas but has drawn in Democratic governors who have floated the possibility of rushing to redraw their own state’s maps in retaliation. Their options, however, are limited.

Four years later, Abbott is taking a far more aggressive stance and swiftly warning Democrats that he will seek to remove them from office if they are not back when the House reconvenes Monday afternoon. He cited a non-binding 2021 legal opinion issued by Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, which suggested a court could determine that a legislator had forfeited their office.

He also suggested the lawmakers may have committed felonies by raising money to help pay for fines they’d face.

“This truancy ends now,” Abbott said.

It is not clear to me what legal basis there would be to remove them from office aside from impeachment. The U.S. House of Representatives can expel a member, but Adam Clayton Powell demonstrated that if constituents support a member in being an asshole, there isn’t much that a legislative body can do about it in the short term. I’m not sufficiently knowledgeable about Texas politics to say what options there might be, nor am I sufficiently interested to put any time in researching it; things will happen as they happen.

We have reached that “a-ha!” moment, like Don Corleone watching Barzini play puppet-master to Tattaglia in the meeting of the Five Families, where everything is now crystal clear.

This week, Washington was rocked by new releases in the declassification of material related to the origins of the Russian investigation. The material shows further evidence of a secret plan by the Clinton campaign to use the FBI and media to spread a false claim that Donald Trump was a Russian asset. With this material, the public is finally seeing how officials and reporters set into motion what may be the greatest hoax ever perpetrated in American politics. There never was a Russian collusion conspiracy. This is the emerging story of the real Russian conspiracy to manufacture a false narrative that succeeded in devouring much of the first term of the Trump Administration.

What is emerging in these documents is a political illusion carefully constructed by government officials and a willing media.

The brilliance of the trick was getting reporters to buy into the illusion; to own it like members of an audience called to the stage by an illusionist.

The effort closely followed the three steps of the classic magic trick: The Pledge, The Turn, and The Prestige.

“Trick”? Say rather FRAUD.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser sued Mesa County Sheriff’s Deputy Alexander Zwinck last week after Zwinck reportedly sent federal agents information about a student present in the U.S. illegally, The Associated Press first reported.

Zwinck and another deputy, Erik Olson, have also been placed on unpaid leave; Zwinck for three weeks and Olson for two weeks.

On June 5, Zwinck is reported to have pulled Caroline Dias-Goncalves over for a traffic stop. The officer gave Dias-Goncalves, a college student from Brazil with an expired visa, a warning but shortly after, federal immigration officers stopped Dias-Goncalves and arrested her.

A Mesa County Sheriff’s Office internal investigation found that Zwinck and Olson were a part of a Signal group chat that included Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. Both deputies are reported to have used the Signal chat to relay information to federal officers.

While Hunter Biden’s viral three-hour long interview on YouTube last week came across as an “entitled rant” to even MSNBC, the son of former President Joe Biden added a valuable piece in the puzzle about his father’s mental decline while in office.

According to Hunter Biden, Joe Biden was given Ambien, a sedative used to treat insomnia, before the 2024 presidential debate with Donald Trump that ultimately led to his bowing out of the race.

“He’s tired,” Hunter Biden said. “They give him Ambien to be able to sleep, and he gets up on the stage and looks like a deer in the headlights.”

But questions surrounding Joe Biden’s mental acuity go well beyond his son’s musings. Now, Congress is investigating the Biden White House’s use of the autopen in signing official documents, which some argue renders certain autopen-signed documents void.

More than two dozen protesters were captured on video last week delivering a faux coffin and flowers to the Wisconsin home of House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil, R-Wis.

The unwanted visitors, dressed in black and carrying cowbells, walked up the congressman’s private driveway in what appeared to be a mock funeral procession, before dropping a cardboard coffin prop with an epitaph at his front door.

Former Walworth County Democrat Party Chairwoman Ellen Holly was identified in the video footage posted to social media allegedly walking up to Steil’s front door, along with several other constituents from previous protests.

That is a death threat, straight up. But of course the Usual Suspects are immune from law enforcement in Blue States.
