A rogue Democratic aide stole a massive trove of political data and used it to harm Republicans by “doxxing” them in what prosecutors call the “largest data theft in Senate history.”
The theft was made possible, and could have been much worse, because of myriad blunders by the Capitol Police and multiple Democratic congresswomen.
Jackson Cosko was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison. Prosecutors called his offense an “extraordinary” and “vicious” crime where the ex-Democratic aide stole a senator’s data, mined it for blackmail material and then published the home addresses and phone numbers of Republican senators during the 2018 hearings for now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Isn’t it amazing how, with all of the complaints about Republicans that Congressional Democrats make, it’s somehow always a Democrat that goes to jail.

Democrats in Texas did that a while ago. It was pretty entertaining.

Maryland banned “high capacity” magazines and a variety of “assault weapons” via the Firearm Safety Act of 2013. That Act also required would-be handgun buyers to submit fingerprints to the state police as a part of the registration scenario.
On March 27, 2017, Breitbart News reported the criminal use of “high capacity” magazines was at a seven-year high. In other words, the ban had only impacted law-abiding citizens. Criminals still had – and still used – the prohibited magazines.
The guys at Powerline have been pursuing this for years.

A group of Senate Democrats spearheaded by Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) have demanded that the United States grant amnesty to foreign nationals living in the country on Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
District officials voted to fire a Texas English teacher Tuesday, following tweets to President Donald Trump about illegal immigrants in the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD).
Unfortunately, school officials in major Texas cities are as Blue as in any coastal area.
“The Board approved her ‘proposed’ termination, in the words of the Board president, Jacinto Ramos, Jr., ‘…based both upon Ms. Clark’s conduct, and the fact that the public reaction to her conduct has been highly negative and, therefore compromised and diminished her effectiveness as a teacher within Fort Worth ISD,’” Bond said.
In other words, she’s a troublemaker and so she has to go. Apparently her effectiveness as a teacher is judged by how ‘woke’ she is.
I shouldn’t have to remind everyone not to send their kids to a government school.
James Freeman’s June 4 WSJ Best of the Web column is “Democrats vs. Nuns.” In the column he alerts us to this news: “More than two years after Barack Obama left the White House, there’s still no cease-fire in a legal war on women of faith. The non-profit law firm Becket said [on Tuesday] that a group of nuns will once again have to defend their beliefs in a San Francisco federal courthouse [on Thursday, June 6].”
Two attendees of the Bronx Community Board 11 meeting, including the board’s chairman and district manager, say that military veterans Silvio Mazzella and Anthony Vitaliano walked out of a private meeting with Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Ocasio-Cortez reportedly held a closed-door meeting with her constituency in the Bronx Wednesday, when two military veterans allegedly walked out on account of the congresswoman’s anti-American rhetoric.
Good for them.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo were nowhere to be seen at the Thursday morning dedication for the new 9/11 Memorial Glade, a monument dedicated to recovery workers affected by toxin exposure following the 2001 terror attacks.
De Blasio’s office said the event conflicted with the mayor’s schedule, but the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate was spotted at a nearby gym about 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony, the New York Post reported.
Trump is once more shaking the box in order to get a result he likes better.
This will also have the effect of sticking a thumb (maybe two) in the eye of those companies that rushed to move their production operations to Mexico after NAFTA.

Tennessee Republican Rep. John Rose temporarily blocked a disaster relief bill in the House by objecting to an unanimous consent vote Thursday, delaying $19.1 billion dollars of aid.
“I am standing in a House chamber that is virtually empty. Nearly all of my 431 colleagues are absent as the Speaker of the House seeks to pass a $19 billion spending bill,” Rose said on the House floor. “Our nation is $22 trillion in debt, trying to pass nearly $20 billion in new spending while the majority of Congress is not even in Washington reflects another act of irresponsible big government.”
This is the third time the Democrat leadership in the House has attempted to pass this spending bill via ‘unanimous consent’, and it would have worked had there not been vigilant Republicans present to stand in the way of this chicanery. If the bill has majority support, have a vote. That they can’t face a vote suggests that the bill doesn’t have majority support, and they’re trying to pull a fast one.
Between January 1 and May 19 of this year, New York Police recorded 176 hate-crime complaints, an 83% increase over the same period in 2018, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The pretend hate-speech offenses that the Left throws at Trump, De Blasio is actually guilty of.
[New York] City Department of Education brass are targeting a “white-supremacy culture” among school administrators — by disparaging ideas like “individualism,” “objectivity” and “worship of the written word,” The Post has learned.
A presentation slide obtained by The Post offers a bullet-point description of the systemic, supposedly pro-white favoritism that Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza claims must be eradicated from the DOE, and provides just one insight into his anti-bias training efforts.
That would complete the destruction of the California economy. The population of the state would be reduced to those wealthy enough to buy and drive electric cars and the underclass who would survive by serving them.
The Trump administration has officially pulled a $929 million federal grant to the California High-Speed Rail Authority after terminating a 2010 agreement.
In a release, the Federal Railroad Association – a component of the US Department of Transportation – said that California’s rail authority “repeatedly failed to comply with the terms of the FY10 agreement and has failed to make reasonable progress on the project. Additionally, California has abandoned its original vision of a high-speed passenger rail service connecting San Francisco and Los Angeles, which was essential to its applications for FRA grant funding,” according to CNBC.
The FRA added that it “continues to consider all options regarding the return of $2.5 billion in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds awarded to CHSRA.”
Since Governor Newsome has already said they won’t complete the project, but will continue work so that they can get the Federal money, this is a no-brainer … which, of course, doesn’t mean that California public officials won’t whine about it.
Larry Ellison apparently agrees with me:
“Trains leave when you don’t want to leave, from a place you don’t want to leave from, and take you to a place you don’t want to go to, at a time you don’t want to get there, and then you have to get into a car and go wherever you’re going. It is a crazy system.”
Public schools are subject to political maneuvering just like any other government program.
Don’t send your kid to a government school.

A proposed hike in Illinois’ annual registration fee for electric vehicles, from $17.50 to $1,000, is being called unfair by current EV owners, and a sales disincentive by manufacturers — just as the new technology is beginning to gain broader traction.
“It’s outrageous,” said Nicoletta Skarlatos, 56, of Chicago, who bought a Tesla Model S five years ago. “I thought Illinois was progressive and would want to encourage EV ownership.”
Illinois is progressive, and these ‘progressive’ politicians have realized that electric vehicles are toys for the rich — and what do they do with the rich? Soak ’em!
The justification for the dramatic hike? Electric vehicles don’t provide the state with any gas tax revenue.
And tax revenue comes before everything. Democrat pols to taxpayers: Pay us now or pay us later, you’re gonna pay us.
The yogurt company’s CEO, Hamdi Ulukaya, announced the offer in a Thursday tweet, saying that all students should have access to delicious and nutritious food in school, no matter their ability to pay.
Yeah, well, it may be ‘nutritious’ but it’s far from delicious, as the students well know. Most of Michelle Obama’s lunch selections wound up in the trash.
When you send your kids to a government school, they become lab rats for any freak political notion that comes down the catwalk.
Jonathan Turley, no fan of Trump or Republicans, points out the defects.
As someone who has represented the House of Representatives, my concern is that this one violates a legal version of the Hippocratic oath to “first do no harm.” This could do great harm, not to Barr, but to the House. It is the weakest possible case to bring against the administration, and likely to be an example of a bad case making bad law for the House.
The Democratic stronghold of Oakland, California – which narrowly escaped Bankruptcy in 2009 – is planning to divert state gas tax revenues to keep the city’s lights on amid a $100 million annual shortfall projected in the the 2019-2020 fiscal year (74% worse than forecast just two years ago).

Advocates for the ban claim that it’s prejudicial toward lower income people who may not have access to debit cards or credit cards according to the AP. The concept has also been introduced in New York City. The city’s Board of Supervisors will take up the issue Tuesday, which is likely to pass, as all 11 members of the Board are listed as sponsors or co-sponsors. Officials have been working in vain to make San Francisco more equitable in the face of an unprecedented wealth gap (and despite record amounts of human feces on the streets).
Maybe they don’t want ‘lower income people’ in their stores? Maybe they don’t wast ‘record amounts of feces on the streets’ from migrating into their stores?
Supervisor Vallie Brown said: “I just felt it wasn’t fair that if someone wanted to buy a sandwich in a store, and they had cash, that they would be turned away. We also have our homeless population. They’re not banked.”
Yeah, God forbid that the homeless shouldn’t have access to your stores….
After the House voted to find Holder in contempt of Congress, Deputy Attorney General James Cole, Holder’s No. 2, issued a letter to the House stating: “The department will not bring the congressional contempt citation before a grand jury or take any other action to prosecute the Attorney General.”

The company Flint, Michigan, hired to replace lead water pipes had no experience with the work, according to a councilwoman and a contractor, despite that the city has received more than $600 million in state and federal aid for its water crisis.
And the city ignored a model showing where lead pipes are and paid to dig up every yard, the vast majority of which had copper pipes, according to meeting minutes.
The city also prohibited contractors from using an efficient method of digging holes known as hydrovac excavation, Flint Councilwoman Eva Worthing told The Daily Caller News Foundation. That leveled the playing field for a contractor, WT Stevens, with no experience or the appropriate equipment — and let it bill far more to taxpayers, she says. All of these factors, she adds, needlessly led to more waiting for anyone who actually has lead pipes.
Democrats.
