The Nation magazine reports that in Atlanta this weekend, the points of protest will surround racial inequalities, voter suppression and income inequality in Georgia.

There will also be calls for boycotting the NFL for, as The Nation’s Dave Zirin says, brazen collusion against quarterback and anti-police-brutality campaigner Colin Kaepernick.

The discredited Southern Poverty Law Center, along with the Atlanta NAACP, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the Georgia Alliance for Social Justice will protest. So will the Alliance for Black Lives, an organization that “fights the three evils of society: racism, poverty, and militarism.” This is becoming the norm.

Nike sparked outrage with the release of a new shoe bearing a logo that resembles Allah, which Muslims claim is a slight against Islam.

A Nike spokesman claimed that the logo on the Air Max 270 is merely a stylized version of the Air Max trademark. Saiqa Noreen, who launched an online petition demanding a recall of the shoe, contends that the logo is in fact the Arabic script for Allah and therefore an insult to Islam. The petition has garnered more than 10,000 signatures.

“It is outrageous and appalling of Nike to allow the name of God on a shoe. This is disrespectful and extremely offensive to Muslim’s and insulting to Islam,” Noreen wrote in the petition.

“Menstrual equity” activists are calling on Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to take action to ensure that K-12 school bathrooms are equipped with free menstrual hygiene products to combat what they call “period poverty.” They are expected to march Monday near the Education Department headquarters, and they took out a full-page ad directed at DeVos.

A new city policy requiring public signs on brick buildings warning they might collapse in an earthquake is part of a long history of white supremacy aimed at forcing black people to move out of neighborhoods, the NAACP of Portland, Oregon, says.

The group on Thursday decried the policy affecting some 1,600 unreinforced masonry buildings that are on average 90 years old, many in areas with a predominantly black population, The Oregonian/OregonLive reports .

The current lawsuit challenging Harvard University’s use of racial preferences in admissions is about “white supremacy,” according to the school’s supporters. So, too, was the defense of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh against the charge of sexual assault, according to Kavanaugh’s critics. Never mind that the plaintiffs in the Harvard lawsuit are Asian-American students who were denied admission to the school despite academic qualifications superior to those of whites, and that Kavanaugh’s accuser was white herself. The roiling mass of resentments and one-upmanship that is identity politics is becoming ever more irrational in the Trump era. Whether a crack-up is imminent remains to be seen.

‘White supremacy’ is the Communism of the Left. Except that Communism really exists.

The core premise of academic victimology is that whites game the system to disable non-whites. The effort seems to have failed miserably. But rather than acknowledging the implications of Asian success for the narrative of systemic pro-white bias, the proponents of identity politics simply trot out the “white supremacy” mantra as if doing so routs any countervailing evidence. That some left-wing Asians adopt the same rhetoric is a testament to the status accorded to alleged victims of white privilege and to the lure of oppositional identity politics in elite circles.

Warren shared the results of her DNA test with the Boston Globe which was conducted by a Stanford researcher. “The results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor,” the researcher said in a summary of Warren’s ancestry findings, adding that the ancestor was likely in her genealogy “in the range of 6-10 generations ago.”

Warren’s results show that she possibly ranges from 1/32nd Native American to 1/512th Native American.

So she’s as much Indian as Cory Booker and Jamala Harris are black. That’s certainly close enough for Democrat work.

 The results could temper attacks from President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2020 presidential elections, where Warren is seen as a likely candidate.
