And if he should write a check, but still advocate for higher taxes on the wealthy, what pithy sound bite will the right come up with, then?
As for Christie, he should step away from the Buff–er, ‘b’uffet…and shut up.

The point is that they won’t need to, because he’ll never do it. His agenda is not to get the rich to pay more taxes, but to use the government to prevent the near-rich from becoming rich and competing with the real rich for luxury resources.
As for Christie, he has as much right to point out the obvious as anybody … your giving way to the instinctive leftist urge to suppress any speech other than your own notwithstanding.

If you mean “left leaning” as in defecating on the Constitution when it’s in your way then claiming its protections when it serves you, yes.

Um, I was unaware that Muslims in Egypt, Somalia, Indonesia, Pakistan, or any one of the myriad mudpits where Tim spends his time digging up People Behaving Badly are aware of the Constitution, much less claim its protection.
