The American people have been voting on-and-off for Communism-lite for almost 100 years. In the last two elections, they voted for full-on Communism. The government, Socialist-style (we can argue about minutiae like whether this government is more like Mussolini, Lenin, Castro, Mao, or Chavez), now owns or controls banks, auto companies, health care, etc.
Why shouldn’t the Atlantic, Newsweek, the various Times aspire to be Pravda, Izvestia, or Krokodil?
