A few weeks back I caught an interview of historian Antony Beevor about his new book on WWII by Brian Lamb, and Keegan’s name briefly came up. Beevor mentioned that Keegan was quite ill, so this announcement is not unexpected, though it still saddens me.
R.I.P., Sir John Keegan.
