I love the range of political opinion in Britain. They have the Labour Party, which is like our Democratic Party, and then they have the Conservative Party, which is like our Democratic Party.

Lumping these two topics together? I’m sure William Wilberforce is turning circles in his grave!

Dennis, like most ‘progressives’, has always had difficulty distinguishing between ‘banning a bad thing’ and ‘establishing a bad thing’. But that’s an essential part of the ‘progressive’ ethos: progress is inevitable, and progress requires change, so any change will do to bring about progress. There is no such thing as Bad Change; all change is good, because it brings about progress — unless, of course, you’re changing back to the way it was in the past, in which case it’s a bad change, unless it’s reverting to the way things were before industrialization, in which case it’s a good change.
Being a ‘progressive’ is very challenging mentally, which is why they use up all their brainpower keeping track of the party line and have none left for actually dealing with reality.
