We have seen the future, and it sucks.

The Planet Is Fine!

Freeberg reminds us that there are ‘progressives’ who still have two brain cells to rub together.

Like George Carlin. I miss George.

  1. Dennis Nagle Says:

I saw Carlin on stage back in the late 90’s, and was sad to discover that he wasn’t funny anymore, just angry and bitter.
    Life takes its toll.

But the clip makes a significant point: ‘Leftist’ and ‘tree-hugger’ concern for the state of the planet is not altruism, it is enlightened self-interest.

  2. RealRick Says:

Carlin did become extremely bitter after the death of his wife. Sad, really.

My favorite from Carlin was, “Bacon is worth dying for!”

  3. Whitehawk Says:

My favorite was his comparison of football as a man’s game to the more effeminate baseball:

    Football Baseball
played on gridiron Played on a diamond 🙂
OT is sudden death Gets extra innings
    Time out Seventh inning stretch
helmet with a face mask cap
    Tackle opponent tag opponent

I’m sure everyone remembers the bit.
