Justice Breyer’s Bad Luck

20th May 2012

Read it.

Justice Breyer is a statist who joined the majority in the Kelo case, which ruled (and I use that word deliberately) that a local government stealing people’s homes in order to give the property to a developer who will pay more taxes on it is a ‘public purpose’ within the meaning of the Fifth Amendment. Needless to say, the desired ‘benefit’ never happened, and the land is now a city dump.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. What goes around, comes around.

He should be thankful that the local governments didn’t come up with a “public” use for his homes.

    May he rot in hell.
