Why buy a cow when you can get the milk for free?

Well, some of us, anyway; I’d hate to be the European who depended on you for anything in the way of defense.

Time to celebrate! The EUropean Union should make for an easy conquest, once the US pulls out of NATO, which I hope will be soon. The ideologies of EUrope: fasicsm, socialsm, nazism, and communism, will never be defeated until Europe is ground into the dust.

This is a little naive. Remember Suez?
When the US decided to control whether its “allies” could go to war or not, it also decided implicitly at that moment to disarm them. Quite naturally most of the euro-politicians don’t feel like paying for armed forces which they can only use with Obama’s permission. And indeed it is hard to see why they should.
