“#4 – Having too many choices interferes with decision making.” – This one is all too true. A friend of mine once pointed out that if you are having a lot of trouble making a decision between two choices, then it probably doesn’t matter too much which one you go with because either one is about equally likely to meet your need. Given the truth of #4 above, doesn’t it put an interesting slant on one of the main criticisms of Apple that they don’t offer enough choices for their customers? It is, of course, a rhetorical question as said consumers have already answered it in record numbers. Only Paul Thurrot, Steve Ballmer, and Richard Stallman fail to understand why.

Yeah – looking at the App Store (for iPhone or Android) brings this home pretty thoroughly.
