There’s nothing difficult about cleaning a metal pan. That’s what Brillo pads are for. All metal cookware can take just about any abuse you want to dish out. Reading the referenced article should make you realize just how much trouble it is to maintain non-stick.
Teflon pans suck.
If you use an electric range, you can easily get to temperatures at which the teflon will begin to break down. (My sister killed her parakeets that way.) Fluorine compounds (with the exception of Teflon) are all bad for you.

Much better suggestion: Never buy non-stick pans.
