    So it is possible to make multi-billion dollar decisions based on something detected in sewage, but an individual has to submit to a royal swabbing of their sinus cavity instead of peeing on a stick.

    Is it just me, or is there a disconnect here?

    It all depends on who is doing the detecting. I suspect that the ‘royal swabbing’, like the face diaper, is about control, not anything practical.
