McKinsey! “The Smartest People in the Room”.

I work for a company that hired them to improve our operations. First thing they do is ask what stuff could be fixed. That gives them some easy stuff to show management. Then they stayed around for a year – with us paying for salary, meals, and lodging. They dredged up some ideas that were tried 30 years ago (and mostly failed) and had management implement them (and they mostly failed again). Within another year, every “brilliant” idea they came up with was scrapped as useless.

So the company hired them again to help with restructuring after some assets were sold. And they’re doing the same thing again.

Want some easy investment and/or job hunting advice? Avoid any company dumb enough to hire McKinsey like you would avoid a pit bull with rabies.
