The Gun Proxy

14th August 2020

Audacious Epigone runs the numbers.

The inverse correlation between favoring stricter gun laws and Donald Trump’s share of the 2016 presidential vote is a remarkable .95. That is a staggeringly strong relationship for the social sciences. Indeed, it is effectively a perfect correlation after sampling noise is accounted for. More than abortion, immigration, taxation, race relations, war, or any other cultural or political issue, a person’s approach to gun rights is a better predictor of how he’ll vote than anything else is.

Facebook’s “Fact Checkers” (some say Fascist Cunts) have already blocked the content of this article as being objectionable to community standards. Maybe they actually meant to their commune’s standards. Defund FB Police?

I stopped by an Academy Sports & Outdoors store the other day to buy some jeans. I went over to the firearms section on the chance that they might have some small pistol or rifle primers. They didn’t. Also, they didn’t have but maybe 10% of their firearms inventory and maybe 5% of their ammunition inventory. How many people think a Biden/Harris White House would take away their 2nd Amendment rights? A lot, apparently.

Right now it looks like Expression Engine is the best blogging platform available right now.
(from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re using on your blog?

No. I use WordPress. It meets my needs, is simple to configure, and free.

If I were going to pay for web software I would use SquareSpace.
