True: In college, I stopped by to see a friend who was working late in a bio lab. He said, “Hey, are you hungry? I’ve got a meatball sub in the ‘fridge and I’m not gonna eat the whole thing.” He opened up a refrigerator that was covered with bio-hazard stickers on all sides. Inside were a couple of Petri dishes and a couple of flasks with some very strange green stuff in them. I told him I didn’t want any part of a sandwich stored with biological experiments. “Oh, those aren’t real. We got tired of having our food stolen, so we put some fake stuff in here and covered the outside with warning stickers. All the real biological stuff is in the refrigerator in the back.”
I wonder if the organ donor markings would stop engineers. I’ve seen them eat leftovers that starving prisoners might avoid.
