A man walked into a gun store in Houston and tried to buy 15 AR-15s and pay cash. The store quietly called the ATF, figuring that they might drive over to the store and have a chat with the Mexican guy with a wad of cash. The ATF told them to sell the guns. The store argued, but the ATF stuck by their ruling. Months later, the ATF went after the gun store and claimed they were illegally selling guns to Mexico.

The store owner had a genuine distrust of the government and had recorded the conversation. They hired a very good attorney and sent him after the ATF. It wasn’t long before “Fast and Furious” became public knowledge and ATF was forced to drop it’s case.
