Correlation or causation? Maybe more intelligent parents are more inclined to hold babies more often.

Well, it’s hard to hold a baby and use a crack pipe at the same time.
Also, educated parents tend to have one or two children, as opposed to the class for whom the number of babies is limited by maximum welfare benefits.
