Make Dishwashers That Clean Again

The dirty little nonsecret for years has been that modern dishwashers don’t clean dishes well. The culprit is federal efficiency standards, which have been tightened to use less energy.

Just one on a long list of items mandated by the Gov’t to “help” us:
– Mandatory low-volume toilets that require 2 or 3 flushes to work
– Dryers designed to leave clothes “damp”, so that users end up having to run an extra cycle
– Low water use washing machines that require an extra rinse to wash out the detergent
– Low emissions gas cans that don’t let you dispense gasoline safely
– Banning incandescent light bulbs in order to push poor performing fluorescent light bulbs (while the free market moved to much better LEDs)
– Force feeding ethanol (less MPG than gasoline) into cars with mandatory MPG standards
– Pesticides that don’t kill insects. (I used to buy wasp spray that dropped those little bastards upon contact. Now it’s more effective to try to hit them with the can.)
They never will get the concept that the best way to help me might be to stay the hell out of my way.
